Prologue
Dear kind editor,
I am afraid to tell you that Mr. Lemony Snicket, the author of the documentations on the Baudelaire orphan's path of misery and woe, has come across his own unfortunate event while investigating the Motel D, where the orphans were last seen. Although the reasons of Mr. Snicket's death are not quite clear, it is obvious that it was the work of none other than Count Olaf. Although these matters would be best left astray from the public, I am taking it as my duty to take Mr. Snicket's dangerous work into my own hands, my name is Vance F. Draconifors and as I am writing this I am sitting in the very kitchen that housed the infamous Sugar Bowl during the Baudelaire's stay.
