"You would be the death of me if I wasn't already dead, Tezz." I panted as I buttoned my shirt though before I had a chance to recover my underpants Tezzeret grabbed them and I frowned despite how fatigued I was. "Okay, why are you taking my knickers hostage?" I asked him, watching on as Tezzeret finished redressing.
"I want you to walk past your friends without them. I'll give them back once I'm satisfied." Tezzeret teased, a smirk on his lips as I narrowed my eyes at the artificer. "I don't know why you're acting so shy. You certainly weren't shy when we were being intimate a few minutes ago."
"That's not funny, Tezzeret. You don't see me taking your boxers." I pointed out, waving my hands towards my boyfriend who chuckled stepping back just out of range when I made a half-hearted grab for my underpants. "Fine but you owe me big time for this," I growled, straightening my clothing and after a quick check to make certain my butt wasn't visible I strolled past my boyfriend who let out a low whistle.
Gritting my teeth I strolled past the shelves barely giving Jace and Ral a nod before I quickly darted out of the library knowing that I was blushing. Once I was a fair distance away I made my way back to my house, keeping as much distance as I could between myself and Tezzeret the artificer following me now with my underpants safely hidden on his person.
"You are a pain in the backside, Tezz," I grumbled later as I sat on my well-worn couch and he chuckled tossing me my underpants which I snatched out of thin air. As soon as I lifted one leg intending on pulling them back on Tezzeret knelt beside me and I blinked, curious despite my frustration as he traced my leg with one etherium finger. "Tezz, what are you doing now?" I whispered, unable to stop my eyes from focusing on his finger and when it swept under my skirt I tilted my head back a faint groan escaping my lips as the finger slipped into me.
"Making up for the embarrassment I've caused you. You have a perfect backside, Ailis." Tezzeret whispered, stroking me for the next few seconds before his finger withdrew. After he joined me on the couch Tezzeret lifted me onto his lap and I sighed as he traced my neck with his fingers, his lips warm against my cooler skin. "No reason you can't show it off." He added, nuzzling my neck as his fingers slipped up my shirt and I smiled all trace of anger was gone as he stroked my belly.
"Tezz, I appreciate the compliments you give me but I'm not going outside ever again without knickers on," I told him and Tezzeret chuckled, his lips soft as he kissed me.
After our intimate moment in the Ravnica library, I made sure to avoid it, concentrating instead of practicing my planeswalking though when I asked Tezzeret to join me he raised an eyebrow at me from across the table in our shared house.
"Practice? You're already a planeswalker and you've proven that fact multiple times since I met you." Tezzeret commented and I sighed, joining him on the couch with two plates of pancakes.
"I just thought it would be nice to get away from Ravnica for a while," I answered, and after Tezzeret munched on one of his pancakes he swallowed, giving me a tiny smirk.
"I get it, Ailis. You're afraid of facing Jace and Ral after the library incident." Tezzeret teased, lightly brushing my leg with his etherium hand and I rolled my eyes concentrating instead on my breakfast. "Running away won't make that go away."
"Tezz, I'm not running away." I retorted and Tezzeret just snorted at me, finishing his breakfast as I tried not to blush. After breakfast, I started to clean the dishes as Tezzeret watched me from a few feet away though after a few minutes he couldn't resist stepping up behind me and I rolled my eyes as he draped an arm around my waist.
"How can I resist showing off my very attractive lover to everyone?" Tezzeret asked me, his other arm draped around my waist now. "But if you really want to we could go for a trip."
"That would be wonderful, Tezz," I whispered and Tezzeret chuckled, kissing my neck before he took the dishcloth away from my hands. "Now what are you doing?"
"Thinking about all the time we'll spend together. Right after you tell me where you'd like to go." Tezzeret answered with a smile on his lips.
"You know I haven't really given it much thought," I answered, trying not to move as Tezzeret's fingers brushed my skirt. "I've only been to Innistrad and Ravnica. Kaladesh was nice but someone could have ruined our fun." I added, breathing a little faster when his hand disappeared up my skirt. "How about waiting until we decide on a destination and then you can have all the fun you want?" I suggested, tilting my head back as he cupped my backside with one hand giving it a squeeze.
"If that's what you'd like, Ailis. Maybe we can head back to Kaladesh, to a house that I used to occupy. One where I'm sure we won't be interrupted." Tezzeret answered giving my left ear a nibble and when I turned my head enough to give him a slow nod he smiled back at me. "Then it's settled." He added, kissing me again.
After giving me time to pack what clothes I had, and some spare underwear in case Tezzeret got a little rough, I waited for Tezzeret as he lounged on the couch with a faint smile on his lips. "Okay well, I'm packed so how about you?" I asked the artificer who just leaned forward stroking his chin instead of responding. "Tezz?"
"I have everything I need back in Kaladesh as well as multiple planes, Ailis, or did you forget who used to run the Infinite Consortium here in Ravnica?" He replied and I sighed, giving him a slow nod as he climbed to his feet. Stretching his arms above his head he strolled over to me, taking my right hand in his and as I shouldered my bag I shivered which Tezzeret immediately noticed.
"Don't worry, Ailis. You'll be perfectly safe moving through the Blind Eternities with me beside you. I won't let anything happen to you." Tezzeret promised and with a slight nod, he kept a firm grip on my hand, our sparks igniting together.
As we touched down in Kaladesh I hunched over, my bag dropping onto the ground beneath our feet. At my side Tezzeret kept a firm grip on my hand, his other arm now draped around my shoulders as he steadied me. "Just breathe, Ailis. It can take a lot out of you planeswalking especially when you're not used to it." He told me, patting my back once I managed to straighten.
"Even being undead it still exhausts me," I muttered, pinching the bridge of my nose and Tezzeret chuckled at my side keeping me steady as he started to lead me to his house somewhere in the vast city. We arrived at a small house and as I steadied myself against the nearest wall Tezzeret raised his hand making a fist and as I watched his etherium fist glowed, a lock on the door where a doorknob should glow in sync. Listening carefully despite my fatigue I heard a click coming from the door and when the door swung open I blinked, a little surprised until Tezzeret lowered his hand giving me a tiny smile that relaxed me.
"I've found that conventional locks can easily be broken. However, locks that can only be opened with my powers are much more reliable." Tezzeret explained, helping me into the house the door closing behind us.
"Now this is much better," I whispered, lying on my back on what I assumed was a king-sized bed and Tezzeret chuckled sitting beside me. "Why did you ever leave Kaladesh?" I asked him getting a raised eyebrow for my trouble and I grimaced. "Sorry I keep forgetting."
"I won't hold it against you, Ailis. Anyone else, however…" Tezzeret trailed off with a faint smile, leaning over me when I closed my eyes. "Are you really that exhausted?" He inquired as I shifted onto my side feeling the bed sink slightly and I cracked open an eye when his arm draped over my waist.
"Completely wiped, Tezz," I mumbled, closing my eyes as Tezzeret settled beside me. "You sure you don't want to go for a walk or something while I sleep?"
"I did mention I wanted to spend as much time as possible with you, Ailis," Tezzeret replied, unable to suppress a yawn which brought a giggle from me. "You won't be laughing later." He muttered as I turned over so that I was face to face with my boyfriend.
"Holding you to that promise, Tezz," I whispered, burying my face in his shirt as I closed my eyes. "Looking forward to it."
