At an arid area where dozens of Silicobra slither around and various ground-type Pokemon reside, Zephyr was sitting beside a tree, enjoying a nice glass of Pinap juice he'd just ordered from the drink stand a few miles away. He had planned on this trip to rather an arid area then staying here in Galar for a long while now, and thus, his trip had came true.

Letting some of his Pokemon, including his Intelleon, James Bond, inside the party box until his trip concluded, Zephyr had brought his Pokemon over. Trying his best to look for a place for his Pokemon he'd brought over to stay, he kept all of his friends inside each Pokeball attached to his belt.

The Pokemon remaining are Oakley, his Boltund, Kiri, a Noivern he'd caught when she was a Noibat, Tyrique, the Tyrogue, Ribbon, a Sylveon he'd evolved months ago, and lastly his Hawlucha, Carlos.

The kangaroo thought about what it is like to stay in a fabulous place like Dahara City for months. It had a surprisingly large ocean where various types of Water-type Pokemon swim around, several hotels that have pools with cool water for partner Pokemon to swim in, and various types of restaurants to eat here.

Different types of curry outside Galar, special flavors of donuts, etc. That's what Zephyr is looking forward to. Tasting each type of food outside Galar.

Wasting no time in thinking about things to do in Qatori City, Zephyr got off from where he was sitting on beside the palm tree and walked off, several ground type Pokemon watching the kangaroo fade in the distance.

"Arceus, almighty. It's so hot out here.." Zephyr panted as he fanned himself with his hand. With his pokeballs still attached to his belt, a flash of light can be seen outside the device. The kangaroo turned back to watch the light dance around for a moment, before revealing the Boltund, Oakley, standing next to him with a proud look on her face. "O-Oakley! Y-You're not supposed to be out here in this weather!"

Oakley barked in response, but Zephyr wasn't sure what it meant. She is saying that she might lead him to somewhere cooler rather than standing here all by himself, getting a heat stroke in the process. Without wasting time to figure out what the Boltund had barked out, the kangaroo nodded his head and followed Oakley by her steps.

Trying his best not to pass out as he continued on following his Boltund, Oakley, the dog soon stopped to look around for an area with better air conditioning. Taking a few moments to look all over the area where she stopped at, she then barked, leading Zephyr to the place where it is cooler than the outside. As Zephyr opened the door, he found several Pokemon sitting on each bean bag chair, holding items that felt like snow.

One of them was a Arcanine, holding an ice pack in its mouth. It wasn't injured or anything, it needed a cooler place to stay for a while in order to keep itself nice and cool like playing in the snow at wintertime. Another was a Frosmoth, keeping a small Stufful cool enough to stop itself from trying to pass out with its wings. The next two were Pidove, sitting on a large ice pack. And lastly, a Slakoth was seen sleeping with a cooling blanket wrapped around its full being.

"Hey, you with the Boltund!" A man called, attempting to get the kangaroo's attention. Zephyr took notice of the trainer who had put everyone else's Pokemon in their cooler spaces and went inside. "It's honestly surprising to see a non-human creature come inside with their Pokemon next to them!"

"Y-Yeah, pretty surprising.." Zephyr chuckled a bit. "Hey, I was wonder-"

"Well, we've got the spot JUST for you!" The man blurted out just before Zephyr could finish his sentence.

"Well, I wasn't finished, but thanks anyway!" The kangaroo responded as he went inside to see a few more Pokemon inside the room. One of them was a Glaceon, keeping watch on a Hoennian Zigzagoon. Lastly, an Alolan Ninetails was seen, cooling itself off with its tails wrapped around its legs. "A-An Alolan Ninetails! This has been a while since I've seen a Pokemon like this!"

"The Ninetails over there are keeping itself cool with its tails. Must not separate each one of them if I were you.." The man spoke as Zephyr turned around, taking notice of the sentence he'd let out. "If you separate its tails, the Ninetails might wrap it around its legs again."

Zephyr nodded in response and called Oakley back into his pokeball. Sitting next to the Alolan Ninetails he'd seen earlier, the kangaroo jolted as he turned around to watch the fox's tails wrap around his body. "Isn't that Ninetails supposed to wrap its tails around its legs and not me?"

"She's keeping you cool, sir." The man responded, not knowing Zephyr's name. "When you sit next to her when you're exhausted from this heat outside, she wraps her tails around you to keep you nice and chilly."

"I see." Zephyr spoke as he turned back to the Ninetails, staring at him blankly. "Wonder why Alolan Ninetails' like her do that.."

"In order to keep others cool, they must trust each other first before they keep them chilly during the hot weather. Even though you don't know this Pokemon, she must've been trusting you right now!" The man spoke as he continued on watching the Ninetails keeping Zephyr cool with her tails.

"Never met this Pokemon before, but noted.." Zephyr responded and turned back to the Glaceon as it continued keeping on watch with the Zigzagoon next to it. "An a Hoennian Zigzagoon! It's been quite a while since I've seen these!"

"This is the Pokemon I've caught before Galarian Zigzagoon existed." The man said, Zephyr perked up his ears to find out the regional form of the said Pokemon was noted not to be revealed back then. "Before Galarian Zigzagoon are known to be a regional form from the Galar region, we had Hoennian Zigzagoon as Pokemon partners."

"That's pretty cool! Back when regional forms didn't exist, I used to have a Zigzagoon as a pet!" Zephyr responded as he started petting the Hoennian Zigzagoon. "I named him Ziggy, but after I evolved him into a Linoone, he sacrificed himself whilst trying to save me from a wild Luxray"

The man nodded after hearing Zephyr's explanation. "I'm sorry about your loss, sir. But at least you have your Boltund friend."

"Yes, I do have my Boltund buddy still." Zephyr turned back at the man with a Fletchling landing on top of his shoulder. "Oakley is my partner ever since I caught her as a Yamper."

"That's wonderful." The man replied as he watched the kangaroo start to get a little too chilly. "Alright, Frost. Enough cooling off the Kangaskhan." Zephyr shook as he heard the trainer barely remembering his species.

"How'd you almost know my species!?" The kangaroo asked in shock, staring at the trainer with confusion in his eyes. "Well, you remind me of a Kangaskhan I'd caught in the past, so that's why I called you one." Zephyr wasn't sure why the man reminded him of a kangaroo Pokemon, since they both vaguely resemble each other. He was just a normal kangaroo with an ability to talk, act like a human, and battle enemies with his Pokemon. Kangaskhan on the other hand has the ability to mother her child and protect like like other Kangaskhans.

"Well, I shall be off now. I'll meet you when the weather gets worse again." The kangaroo then walked off with three of the Pokemon watching him leave the room with smiles on their faces, saying their goodbyes until Zephyr comes back.

"Isn't the Pinap ice cream good, Oakley?" Zephyr asked his Boltund partner as the dog gobbled down onto the icy dessert in one sitting. She barked in response, and continued on gobbling the dessert like a Guzzlord chomping down on various cuisines. The other Pokemon Zephyr had brought over, acted more polite than Oakley. Kiri however, ate the entire bowl of Pinap ice crean in one bite, since Noiverns like her can eat smaller portions in one sitting.

Carlos, the Hawlucha, acted way more polite than Oakley, eating his ice cream like a distinguished gentleman he is. Like Carlos, Tyrique acted the same as the luchador Pokemon. Ribbon, the Sylveon, had eaten the entire dessert in less than several minutes. "You guys sure love that ice cream, do you!" Zephyr laughed as he watched all of his Pokemon enjoy the nice icy treat they have received.

"Maybe we can go for another order of that Pinap ice cream next time, shall we?" Zephyr requested to add another order for each of his Pokemon to enjoy. The team never had Pinap berries or said berry-flavored ice cream before, but when they first tried it out, a wave of delight started to hit all of their tastebuds.

"Next time, we could try out some Razz-berry Gelato!" The kangaroo chuckled before sending all of his Pokemon back into their resided pokeballs. Once the rest of the team were in their resided devices, Zephyr stacked each bowl onto the table and wrote a check in order to pay for the dessert he had ordered. Yes, it was a really big treat, not for himself, but for his Pokemon to enjoy on a super hot day.

As soon as the kangaroo left the restaurant after paying for the dessert he had ordered for his team, he soon reached where he could sleep for the night. A nice hotel with better air conditioning, and a rather large pool for not only humans, but also for Pokemon to swim in.

Running inside the room to book a room at the hotel, he was soon told to find the room to stay in for the night. "Room 183".

Exhausted, Zephyr headed inside the hotel room and flopped his full being onto the bed. The room he is in appeared to look nice. It had a mini fridge, roller shades that cover the room's windows, and it sported a nice television. It also including a desk for Zephyr to write his diary on his adventures of being a Pokemon trainer, yet he doesn't have the time to work on it, since he is tired from running in such blazing weather outside.

The room was filled with cool air, which left Zephyr halfway energized. Almost passing out from not only running to the hotel just a few miles away from where he ordered a big order of Pinap ice cream for his Pokemon, but nearly from heat exhaustion as well. With the lights fully turned on, Zephyr turned on the television to see a Pokemon battle go on. It was a match between a Bewear and a Seviper. Unlike the viper's Zangoose rival, the Pokemon had its first match with a Bewear. Thankfully the Pokemon Zephyr is rooting for won the match from the Seviper others were rooting for.

Bewear was one of Zephyr's favorite Pokemon, yet he didn't get the guts in catching one, because by approaching one, it could try and kill him in a matter of seconds.

Wasting a lot of time watching Pokemon battles, he turned off the television, clapped off the lights, and headed straight to bed. "Goodnight, team." Zephyr yawned as he turned his eyes over to the pokeballs attached to his belt, then back at the ceiling. Those words were his last before closing his eyes, and falling asleep after a long day in Qatori City.

Hours have passed, and Zephyr was tossing and turning as he was struggling to sleep. The kangaroo quickly opened his eyes and jolted off the bed to wake up with a loud thud outside the window. Zephyr took a few seconds to look around the room, making sure none of his Pokemon were awake, causing havoc. Thankfully none of his team were up in a flash.

However, the loud thud that was heard outside the balcony turned out to be something else. Not his Pokemon, but appeared to be something else. Was it a Talonflame that fell onto the ground after a hard battle with a Staraptor? Or could it be a large item that a mischievous Impidimp dropped on accident?

The kangaroo hopped out of bed and rolled out the covers to make sure no parts of the building fell apart. Thankfully it didn't, but it appeared to be somewhat shocking. It's neither a Talonflame after a battle, nor a Starly. It was revealed to be a Hoopa, lying on the ground, unconscious.

Surprisingly it kept its Confined form. If it was in its Unbound form, it would've taken down the building, and Zephyr as well. Opening the door where it leads to the balcony, the kangaroo proceeded to pick up the confined Hoopa with his paws and took it inside the hotel room. Closing the balcony door to make sure none of the blazing heat gets inside, he placed the small Pokemon onto the bed.

It seemed to be fine at first glance, but with the heat on his face and the scratches upon impact, the little ghost Pokemon appeared to be in bad condition. It wasn't injured or anything, a few scratches on his entire being although made the situation a little worse than last time.

Zephyr grabbed an ice pack from the mini fridge and placed it behind the Hoopa's head. Thinking that it had suffered a terrible battle with a Staraptor, the little ghost woke up to find the kangaroo in a lodge room, with a concerned look on his face. It wasn't able to ask where it was, instead, the words it let out were, "Hhh..Hoopa..can't...move.."

The marsupial wasn't sure what the Pokemon had said out loud, but with another sentence the small Hoopa had let out had him shocked. "Too...hot..."

It appears that the small ghost Pokemon had passed out from what appeared to be either a heat exhaustion, or worse. Zephyr grabbed some ice from the container and stored them into a bag, before placing it onto the Hoopa's forehead to keep it cool. "D-Don't worry. I might get some help if this gets worse."

It wasn't sweating, unfortunately. So, Zephyr had to come up with another idea. Grabbing one of the popsicles from the fridge, he then offered it to the smaller Pokemon. Without hesitation, the ghost took the popsicle from the marsupial's paws before proceeding to lick the cold treat at a faster pace. He tried to stop him from going any faster, yet the Hoopa didn't want to stop getting himself cool with a popsicle in both hands, and both ice packs on his head.

Finishing the treat in less than a minute, the ghost Pokemon soon placed its head against Zephyr's lap. He is still blazing hot despite that he had a cold treat to eat and two ice packs on his head. "Hhh..Hoopa..still..hot.."

"I-I might get you to the Pokemon Center if this place has one.." Zephyr turned around to see his phone still charging. There are some Pokemon Centers here in Qatori city, yet he didn't want to waste any time in nearly passing out from running too fast whilst trying to take a ghost Pokemon for medical treatment. "I-I don't think I shall take you there all by myself. I would risk in passing out by running too much."

However, Zephyr had another idea. The kangaroo grabbed a bag of ice that was still stored inside the mini fridge and headed inside the bathroom. The small Hoopa took notice of the marsupial and wondered what he was doing. Pouring a decent amount of ice into a bucket filled with water, Zephyr soon headed out to take the Hoopa inside.

Placing the nearly-unconscious genie into the ice-filled bucket, Zephyr began on watch to make sure the small Pokemon does not do anything but stay in the bucket until it cools off. A few minutes in, and the Hoopa soon opened his eyes to find himself in the bathroom, with Zephyr still around. "Where..Where Hoopa at?" The genie asked in concern.

"You're in the bathroom. The reason why I took you there is because you passed out." Zephyr paused to recall previous events with the Hoopa, before finishing his sentence. "You seem to have..either a heat stroke or something worse.."

"H-HOOPA HAD A HEAT STROKE!?" The genie screamed, Zephyr placed a paw onto its mouth to silence it. "Hoopa! PLEASE! You're gonna wake up the guests!"

Hoopa flailed its arms around to push his paw away from his mouth as he continued speaking. "B-But, Hoopa don't wanna die!"

"I know you don't wanna die, but you need to stop yelling so much! You're disturbing the guests here!" Zephyr spat, turning away from the genie Pokemon. "I'm sorry if I yelled at you, I just don't want you to wake everyone else in here.."

The Hoopa crossed its arms as it pouted, before shaking its head to prevent itself from passing out again. "W-Why is Hoopa in an ice bucket?"

"Actually, it's an ice bath. I don't want to waste a whole lot of ice remaining in the bag so I poured a decent amount of it in a bucket for you to fit in." Zephyr responded as he pulled the Hoopa from the ice-filled water bucket. The kangaroo then grabbed a towel from the rack before drying the Pokemon off. "It looks like you cooled off a bit."

"Hoopa knows.." The genie spat, crossing its arms again. "Hoopa wanna be let out again.."

"I can't do that, Hoopa." Zephyr sighed sadly. "If I ever let you outside, you might suffer from another heat stroke. Do you want this to happen again like earlier before?"

The genie Pokemon took a few seconds to recall previous events, before nodding. "No.." The ghost sighed sadly. "Hoopa won't let this happen again.."

"Good. I don't want you suffering from another heat stroke like earlier." Zephyr responded as he poured the now melted ice bath into the sink. The kangaroo soon took the small Pokemon back into where he was sleeping. "I might bring a bowl just in case you need to throw up.."

Hoopa sat on the bed where Zephyr is sleeping on as it watched the Kangaroo bring a bowl next to it, placing the object onto the nightstand seconds later. "If you need to, let me know." As soon as the kangaroo wrapped himself in each layer of blankets, his moment of rest was soon cut off by the small ghost tugging onto his shirt.

"C-Can Hoopa sleep with you? Hoopa doesn't like sleeping alone.." The genie asked in a fairy-like tone, begging to sleep with the kangaroo. Zephyr nodded in response, and placed the Hoopa under the covers. "Hoopa will make sure never to suffer from another heat stroke again.."

"Got it." Zephyr yawned before closing his eyes. "But if you feel sick, wake me up and let me know."

Hoopa nodded and pressed its full being against Zephyr's arm. The small ghost yawned, and slowly closed its eyes, finally getting its moment to rest more.
