A Mother's Will
* Chapter 1 *
The Winchesters were seated at their favorite table in the bunker. The brothers clinked their beer bottles together to signify another victory. The boys at this time had been through so much, a win was very much appreciated.
Shortly after, Dean and Sam received a phone call from an old friend that a case sounded up their alley. Women had vanished and then reappeared. However, these women all seemed to be intact, but had a strange appearance to them. The man went on to say the odd fact was, the women were only seen at night.
The man added that at a local tavern, "Lust." The owner, Vence Hawkins, didn't know what they or anyone was talking about. The stage girls have always been here. No one has gone missing from his club. In further action, Vence told a reporter to get off his property, or he will call the cops and press charges.
"Really?" Sam query.
"I figure you boys might be interested," came the man's voice.
"Sounds like our thing. Thanks Man!" Dean conveyed.
"So Mack, was you the reporter that was-"
"Guys, you know I will never tell!" Mack said and laughed. Which made the Winchesters mocked his enactment, too.
"How have you boys been?" Mack questioned.
"Good! Still kickin it in the ass!" Dean responded.
"Good, good. Hey, you do that!"
"You?"
"Things are great! News is blooming," Mack announced.
"Awesome!"
"Hey, I hate to cut this short, but I gotta go. Talk to you boys later."
"Later Mack!"
"C-ya."
After their friend ended the call, Dean commented.
"Same ol' Mack!"
"Yeah." Sam related and began to look up the information that their friend presented to them.
"Everything Mack informed is true and it does sound like we need to check it out. Starting at this house." Sam said, as he pointed to the screen.
"Then, that's where we are headed to," Dean instructed.
Hours later, the Winchesters pulled up and parked at the curb. They exited out of the Impala. Next, they head towards the trunk. Dean inserted the key and turned it to open it. After he had propped it up, the brothers began their search on the ordinances needed.
Previously the boys had talked and discussed it might be a nest of new vampires. Since how the description of the women had changed into pale skin and death looking. Still they grabbed their other weapons, besides the machetes, just in case.
Dean and Sam entered the darkened dwelling and acknowledged a small dim lit room. It was shown that this house had been deserted for a long time. The boys could hear a dripping noise in the far distance and creaking from the boards underneath their feet, from the loss of being used. The Winchesters could feel the wind whipped around them as it blew by, which made them shivered. They shook it off and focused on the task at hand. With a machete in one hand, along with their flashlights in the other, they proceeded further.
Suddenly, they stopped, for a young boy stood in front of illuminated light displayed a pale boy that once hid in the blackness.
Abruptly, a woman's voice came from behind them and shouted she noticed their intentions in hand.
"STOP HUNTERS!"
The woman continued with, "Don't you dare touch him! Can't you tell he's human?"
The Winchesters looked at her, bewildered. The woman had pallid flesh, bronze eyes and death upon her. They knew right then what kind of creature she was; a vampire.
"Mommy, where are you?" A small boy put forth.
The woman bent down to look eye to eye at the boy.
The boy inputted, "Mommy, who are these men? Tell them to go away!"
"It's okay, sweetie. You shouldn't be out of bed. Go on, now. I'll be in a few minutes. Okay?" The woman spoke softly and ruffled the boy's hair.
The boy stepped close to where the strangers were. With a serious expression, he verbalized the words.
"Leave my mom alone! She has done nothing to you. Or to anyone! She's my superhero, she protects me from them!"
"Danny!" The woman affirmed sternly and added, " GO ON TO BED!"
"Okay, Mom." The boy uttered, as he gave the Winchesters one last snarled look.
Once the boy had left from sight and did what his mother asked from him.
"You are one sick person!" Dean thundered.
"Dean!" Sam enounced.
"Pretending to be that boy's mothers. So, you can feed on him! How disgusting!"
"No hunter! You are the sick one! How dare you assume such nonsense, before knowing the truth! That boy is my son! I gave birth to him!"
"Please, miss, I think we got carried away. Let's start over. My name is Sam and this is my brother, Dean."
"Names are names! Hunters are what you are!" The woman pointed out.
"Just like the vampire is what you are!" Dean remarked.
"Guys, please! That's enough!" Sam asserted.
"Alright, fine! My name is Aubrey. My boy's name is Danny."
"Okay, that's a start," Sam exclaimed.
"So let me get this straight. You're a vampire but your son is…?"
"Human," Aubrey responded.
"How?" Sam questioned.
Meanwhile, Dean had walked around the room. He noticed the once homey place had bestowed itself, before the dust and dirt covered it.
"It's a very long story. A stupid part in my life!" Aubrey disclosed.
Dean glanced up from the pictures he viewed. He concluded that this area was in fact the vampire's former stable home. Dean turned away from the features and stated.
"Oh! We have all the time. Go on."
"I didn't think hunters would be interested in my story?" Aubrey quizzed, confusedly.
"Honesty, we're not," Dean admitted.
"Please Aubrey, just tell us what happened. It will help not only us, but you, as well." Sam encouraged the woman.
"Okay. Well...It goes like this."
Aubrey studied Dean carefully and watched his movements. Next, she took a seat on the mini couch. Sam followed her maneuver and settled into a nearby chair. Dean crossed his arms, while the Winchesters waited.
Aubrey licked her lips and gazed down and quickly peeked up. In doing so, she gathered up her thoughts to say.
The Winchesters realized her nervousness, in which Sam expressed.
"Just take your time. I know it might be difficult reflecting on an excruciating event in your life."
"Thank you. And you're right, it is."
More to come!
