Morning was coming up as Yang Xiao Long was finishing her shift of keeping watch. She thought that this mission would be exciting, and action packed but so far that had not really been the case. Yes, she and her team were fighting grimm, but they were low level and were not much of a challenge. So far, the mission had been boring, she thought they would be doing more of the destroying and not searching but she guessed she was wrong. It also did not help that Doctor Oobleck was a walking textbook and increased her boredom.
Boredom was not the major feeling that was surging through Yang's body though, it was anger and worry, both emotions directed at her redhead sister. Yang was still angry about the information she got last night, that Ruby was a part of an important unit and worse she apparently had a boyfriend. Just thinking about that got Yang angry enough to where her eyes were glaring red. She felt it was going to be a while before she got over it, if she even got over it at all.
Yang knew that Ruby changed after hearing all the things she and friends said about her that night, but she never imagined the change was going to be this drastic. Ruby had gone from a shy, quirky girl who loved weapons and cookies to a beautiful girl filled with confidence and a no-bullshit attitude. The crazy part was this all happened within a few months, and Yang hadn't even had time to process it because she neglected Ruby.
In all honesty, Yang sadly wondered if she was a shackle to Ruby and not the other way around like she had thought. In the months that Yang had neglected her, Ruby had managed to reinvent herself completely and it was working in her favor. First there was her appearance, she grew her hair out to be nearly Yang's length, then she changed her clothes that made her look older than she was and then there was her physique. Yang upset at how many boys she saw look at her sister with a flirty look, even if Ruby paid them no attention.
What really showed the difference about Ruby though was when Yang found out that she had new friends, especially one that was as popular as Cana Alberona, and she had a boyfriend. Both of those sentences didn't resonate with the Ruby that Yang had known all these years, the girl was so shy and so socially awkward that she thought none of those things would ever happen. And yet it happened in the two weeks that she left for Atlas? Was it really that easy for her?
Apparently, it was and those girls seemed to like her a lot, what with the pictures that Coco showed Yang and the others. Not only that, but they clearly were the ones that Ruby kept texting all the time, Yang even overheard her talking on the phone with some girl about clothes. Again, showing how different she was, Ruby never cared about clothes in all the years that Yang had been with her. Hence why she always wore that same black dress everywhere, now she had different outfits and cared about her appearance?
Then there was the matter that Yang was the most upset about, Ruby had a boyfriend and she never mentioned it. Yang was angry because Ruby was keeping secrets and this guy, she was dating was not 'Yang approved' as she would call it. Even though she and Ruby were not on good terms, Yang was still her big sister and she felt like it was her responsibility to look after her. So, while Ruby had changed, Yang still felt like she was too young to date even if she was 16.
Maybe it was the fact that she was still protective of Ruby, but Yang didn't care, she wanted her sister to be safe and that did not include dating random guys. As Ruby so rudely pointed out, Yang didn't have much experience with dating as they barely lasted a few days. She knew what boys wanted and it wasn't something she wanted Ruby to be a part of. Plus, Ruby hadn't known the guy long, didn't she know how dangerous that was?
Yang let out a sigh as she walked back to her teams to switch shifts with Blake. She really did want everything to go back to normal but that was looking more and more impossible by the day. Ruby was still upset with them, and they were angry at her especially after last night. Being pretty much a secret agent, having a boyfriend she didn't tell them about, and saying all that trash about them when she got back all had negative effects. It seemed like Team RWBY wouldn't be making up for a while, and when Yang got back to the campsite her anger was replaced with worry.
"Everyone, where is Ruby?" Yang asked worried as everyone started to wake up.
Weiss, Blake and Doctor Oobleck were sleeping and were woken up by Yang and when they heard her question they looked around in shock. It seemed that Ruby wasn't there, and neither was the dog she brought, which was alarming to all of them. Doctor Oobleck wasn't that alarmed though since he figured Ruby was probably just scouting the area or something, the girl was quite skilled in that aspect. The remaining members of Team RWBY didn't feel the same way though.
"That dolt, who does she think she is going somewhere on her own?!" Weiss asked angrily.
"I don't see the dog either, maybe she just went to let him out? I mean what else could she possibly be doing?" Blake asked confused.
"Now, now girls I am sure that Ruby will be back any minute now she was probably just scoping out the area so we can continue our mission. As we saw yesterday her vision quite formidable indeed and will give us an advantage." Oobleck reassured them but the girls didn't look convinced.
While the WBY hated to admit it, they knew that Ruby's skills had improved a lot, hell they saw it on full display yesterday. She had excellent awareness; her combat skills had skyrocketed, and she was more confident than ever. Still, the WBY didn't think that was enough for her to run off on her own and do something stupid and they were even more upset that she kept doing things without telling them. Just as they were about to respond, a familiar corgi came onto the scene with something in its mouth.
"Zwei! Where's Ruby?" Yang asked concerned.
"Bark!" The dog said happily as a piece of paper dropped from its mouth and Yang grabbed it.
"What does it say?" Weiss asked.
"It says that she will be back in ten minutes, and for us to stay put." Yang said a bit bitterly.
"Does she not think that we are capable of helping her?" Weiss asked angrily.
"I do not believe so Miss Schnee, if Ruby went to do something on her own then it must have been something that she feels is better doing individually and not with the group. I don't really think she is a selfish person but what could she be doing? I suppose we will know when she comes back." Oobleck surmised but the WBY had other thoughts.
No matter how mad they were at Ruby, the WBY were not going to let the girl get hurt by going off on her own and doing something stupid. Not to mention that they were still angry at the girl for keeping secrets and hated that she kept leaving them out of things. It didn't matter how much stronger Ruby was now, they felt that she couldn't do everything on her own. Nodding to each other, they all turned towards the professor they were shadowing.
"Doctor Oobleck, we need to go after Ruby! Please, we don't know what's out there and she could be hurt!" Yang begged.
"She's right Doctor Oobleck, Ruby can't do everything on her own and we need to go see what she is up to so we can help. It's not like we are going to be interrupting something important or anything like that." Weiss stated with a flip of her hair.
"Yeah Doctor Oobleck, really what is the worse that could happen?" Blake asked as the three looked at him expectantly.
The truth was that Oobleck didn't really know what to do in this situation, as he had noticed a strange dynamic between the members of Team RWBY. Ruby seemed to do more things on her own and not look to her team for permission or guidance, something very different than what he was used to seeing from the girl. Not only that but the other three seemed to keep their distance from their leader, which was the opposite he was accustomed to especially for Miss Xiao Long.
The biggest difference that he saw was the growth in Miss Rose's skills, it was like they skyrocketed. The girl was already skilled, but there was a level of confidence that Ruby had that he had never seen from the girl. That upgrade she gave to her weapon was a smart one, as those pistols would not tire her out like the scythe would, giving the girl more energy. It also gave the girl a lot more range with her attacks, something he saw as she put bullets into countless grim.
Ruby Rose was a student that Oobleck trusted so he really believed that the girl was going to come back in a few minutes like she said. The problem was that her teammates did not feel the same, and he was worried one of the girls was going to disobey him if he told them to wait. Especially Miss Xiao Long since she was Miss Rose's sister and the girl was quite protective of her, not to mention reckless. That recklessness was also seen in the other girls, with that in mind Oobleck said and began to speak.
"Very well, I believe she will be fine but if you girls are really so worried about her then we will go meet up with her." Oobleck assured and the WBY smiled.
"Thanks Doc, Zwei lead us to her!" Yang commanded and the corgi did as he was told.
A few minutes passed as the WBY chased after Ruby along with Doctor Oobleck. They did this to make sure that she was OK, but they also wanted to give her a piece of their mind. They were tired of Ruby leaving them out of things as they felt they had a right to know what she was doing. They finally saw her in the distance as it looked like she was on the phone with someone, and Yang wanting to make sure she was safe called out to her.
"RUBY!" Yang screeched as it caused the red-haired girl to cover her ears, Weiss was the next person to say something.
"You dolt, who do you think you are going off on your own?!" Weiss growled as she approached Ruby to berate her, but Oobleck saw something that made his eyes widen.
"Miss Schnee, don't move!" Oobleck commanded but Weiss ignored him.
"I have half a mind to-AH!" Weiss screamed as the ground beneath her crumbled and she and the others besides Ruby fell into a hole.
As the WBY and Doctor Oobleck got their bearings, their eyes widened at what they saw. The criminal organization known as the White Fang were looking at them with their weapons drawn. The WBY were shocked, so this is where the White Fang were hiding, but what were they doing here? And more importantly did Ruby know about this? All those thoughts went to the back of their minds as they got their weapons and prepared to fight.
The next thing everyone heard was gunshots and some of the White Fang soldiers had lost their weapons as they were disarmed. Ruby then dropped down from the whole and stood in front of her team with her pistols out in a protective motion. The White Fang was surprised and a bit scared of the newcomer, seeing as though she looked like a bounty hunter and more dangerous than the other girls. No one was more shocked than Doctor Oobleck and Ruby's team, who were still trying to get used to how skilled the girl was.
'Miss Rose…your skills have really improved remarkably. I feel like it was just yesterday when you were in my first class, you were so nervous, and you looked to your teammates for acceptance. Now you are full of confidence and do not hesitate, and you are a better huntress because of it.' Doctor Oobleck thought with pride and amazement.
"Ruby…" Blake said shocked and her other two teammates were amazed too.
"We'll discuss this later, get ready to fight." Ruby ordered with a glare and her teammates glared back but soon heard a voice.
"Well, well, well look what the cat dragged in." A familiar and annoying voice said.
"Torchwick, as if I couldn't get more annoyed." Ruby said in disgust as her eyes narrowed.
"My, my red, you got a hell of a makeover, I barely even recognized you!" Roman said amazed and almost impressed.
"My hair is just the start; these toys are the real makeover. Now how about you surrender and come quietly, got a nice uncomfortable cell with your name on it." Ruby said with a smirk as she pointed her guns at him.
"As wonderful as that sounds, I think I will have to pass. Hold them off, the rest of you get to your stations we are leaving!" Roman yelled and the White Fang did as they were told.
Some went to the back with Torchwick, and others opened fire on Ruby and her group. They were able to take care of the White Fang members with Ruby leading the charge. The WBY were a bit annoyed that Ruby took most of them out, but they quickly quelled the annoyance down. A few moments later the group dealt with the White Fang members and caused some of them to retreat. Ruby kept her weapon out though and looked at her team and professor with a serious face.
"We can't slow down, we have to go stop those trains, they are filled with explosive dust, and they are headed for Vale." Ruby said seriously and the WBY as well as Doctor Oobleck widened their eyes in shock.
"W-wait what do you mean?!" Yang asked scared and Ruby sighed.
"Before you guys got here, I was doing some reconnaissance and I found this place through the door up there. The White Fang was loading all sorts of dust onto the train cars and my superiors and I believe that they are going to take the trains to Vale to do something horrible. However, I don't believe they were ready to do anything yet, so I was gonna grab you guys and we head back to Beacon. But then you guys showed up and they had to improvise." Ruby said trying to tone down her annoyance since Oobleck was there.
The anger and annoyance the WBY had since they left their campsite had disappeared and was now replaced with guilt. Here they were about to scold Ruby for leaving them behind and now it seemed like they had made things worse. Blake especially felt bad because she was still hopeful that the White Fang could turn things around, but here they were about to do another terrorist attack. An attack that may have been avoided if the WBY weren't so insistent on following Ruby…
"Look Ruby we-"Blake tried to say but Ruby waved her off.
"Like I said we will talk about this later, right now we gotta stop the trains!" Ruby ordered.
"Miss Rose they can't possibly go anywhere with those trains! Those tunnels were sealed long ago, the only thing that would await them at the end is a dead end! Besides, there is no way these trains would work after such a long time of them not running!" Doctor Oobleck assured but then the group heard a noise that sounded a lot like a train getting ready to take off.
"Well, it seems like they found somewhere to go, we are so far underground that even Shauna's signal enhancers are not working properly. We are all that we got, so let's go stop the train!" Ruby exclaimed.
"I couldn't agree more, come children we must make haste!" Doctor Oobleck declared and they did as they were told.
Using their speed and stealth, Doctor Oobleck and Team RWBY had somehow made it on the train. Oobleck knocked out the guard station in the rear car, then along with the group of huntresses made it to the top of the train car. Doctor Oobleck told the four that the main focus would be to get inside the car at the front of the train to shut it down. The girls nodded but Weiss stopped as she saw something inside of a hatch.
"Um, Doctor Oobleck what is that?" Weiss asked and Doctor Oobleck looked with a frown on his face.
"That my dear, appears to be a bomb!" Oobleck said matter-of-factly and the girls backed away in fear.
"What?!" Blake asked scared.
"So this is what they were getting all that dust for, but where are they going to detonate these bombs? Crap bad guys, you guys figure out a way to derail this car, I'll take care of them!" Ruby said as she began shooting the White Fang.
They watched Ruby for a moment, amazed at her precision but soon remembered there task and tried to detach the train car they were on. Blake went down to the hatch and proceeded to cut it, but the train car detached on its own. As the car bounced on the train tracks, it exploded on its own and caused some debris to fall. Then the same thing happened with the next car and the WBY and Doctor Oobleck went onto the next car.
"Ruby, they cars are separating on their own!" Blake yelled.
"What?! What was the point of putting the bombs on if they were just going to explode in this tunnel?" Ruby asked incredibly confused, and the others were as well, until Oobleck saw something that made his eyes widen.
"Oh no…they are going to lead grimm into the city!" Oobleck said horrified.
"What?! How?!" Yang asked a bit scared.
"It's the cars! They detach and explode, creating openings for the grimm and they will use these openings to head into Vale!" Oobleck explained and team RWBY was wide eyed.
"Oh my God…" Ruby said stunned at the information she just received.
This was way worse than she thought, it would cause so much more damage than the attack on the mine in Atlas. If grimm somehow got to the city of Vale, the people there would have no way to defend themselves and grimm would run amok. Ruby could see the many grimm that were chasing this train, she couldn't let them leave this tunnel. With that in mind and the fact that she saw mechs coming at them, she quickly came up with a plan.
"Doctor Oobleck and I will take care of the mechs, you three go below! You need to stop the bombs before we have even more grimm on our tail." Ruby commanded but the other three were hesitant.
"Ruby what are you saying? You can't take those robots on your own!" Yang yelled worried about her sister, but she just glared at her.
"Watch me." Ruby said confidently and bit coldly that the WBY didn't like.
"Listen you-" Weiss was about to say until Oobleck stopped her in her tracks.
"That's enough! Listen to your leader as her plan is very efficient. There are three remaining cars and there are three of you. Each of you will take a car and do whatever it takes to stop those bombs, while we take of the mechs now go!" Oobleck commanded.
The WBY didn't like leaving Ruby alone but did as they were told, they would finish this quickly and come back to help. They believed that Ruby was being in over her head, they didn't care how strong she had gotten there was no way she could handle those robots alone. They were getting sick of how she didn't incorporate the team in her plans and made it seem like they were not reliable. It wouldn't matter though; they were determined to show Ruby how wrong she was.
"Ok we have trained for this, let's get this done fast and go help my cocky sister." Yang grumbled and the other two nodded as they got to work.
Meanwhile on the roof, Ruby and Doctor Oobleck were preparing to take out the mechanized units that were shooting at them. Ruby put crescent rose in dual pistol mode and opted for an approach that involved using her speed and shooting the robot weak points. Shauna had showed them all how mechs were made and how to destroy them, she was really into that stuff. Ruby was about to begin her attack before she saw something that blew her mind.
All it took was for her teacher to have a full swig of his beloved coffee to begin what Ruby could barely even describe. Zwei, the adorable corgi that belonged to her family, jumped in the air, did a flip and then was swung by Ooblecks flame thrower. To her utter disbelief, Ruby saw her dawg roll like Sonic the Hedgehog at full speed right into the robot breaking it instantly. Zwei landed and acted like nothing happened, then Oobleck finished another mech with a slice of his flamethrower and Ruby looked gobsmacked.
'Ok that is definitely in the top three coolest things I have ever seen.' Ruby thought in amazement.
Remembering she had a job to do Ruby quickly got out of her funk and got to work. She dashed towards the robots and started shooting the weak points that she learned from Shauna. Also, she made sure to leave the pilots of the mechs unarmed since they could have information on who the faunus in that video was. Using the combo of her marksmanship and her deadly scythe, Ruby was able to take the mechs out with ease.
"Damn, hope they got insurance for those things." Ruby said smugly as she dusted off her hands.
"Quite impressive Miss Rose, your skills have grown quite a lot!" Oobleck praised.
"Thank you, Doctor Oobleck, hang on there are more incoming look!" Ruby exclaimed as she put her weapon in sniper form.
It would seem Ruby was right as there were even more White Fang members approaching from the other side of the train. Ruby was starting to get annoyed, did Torchwick bring the whole damn organization with him? It seemed like no matter how many she and the others defeated there would be another group coming back at them. Still it didn't matter, they were amateurs anyway and could be taken out quick. Ruby was about to begin shooting until her teacher stopped her.
"Ruby, I will handle these heathens, you go down and apprehend Torchwick and make sure your team is safe!" Oobleck commanded and Ruby looked at him with wide eyes.
"What wait?! But Doctor there are so many of them, surely, I can be of assistance to you!" Ruby argued but Oobleck remained firm.
"Do not worry Ruby, I may be a historian, but I am a huntsman. And besides, it's high time I teach them a lesson!" Oobleck declared as he charged towards them.
"Yes sir, go with him Zwei." Ruby ordered and the corgi did as he was told.
With that Ruby ran toward the front to help her team, but as she got to the front her scroll was buzzing. She quickly took it out and her eyes widened at the fact that she had a little bit of signal. Using the signal enhancer that Shauna had given her, she immediately called Sindel in hopes to get her up to date on the situation. After a few rings she finally picked up and Ruby knew she had to make this quick before the signal gave out again.
"Ruby! We have been calling you what's going on?" Sindel asked worriedly.
"There's no time for me to explain everything as the signal might go out soon, so please listen to me! Torchwick and the White Fang somehow made the trains operational, all the cars have bombs them. Sindel, they are using the cars as explosives to clear the way for the grimm that have been trapped down here. If he succeeds, tons of grimm will invade and we can't let that happen, and if we fail then we must do everything to protect the people. Wish me luck ma'am!" Ruby said confidently.
"Of course, we will be there soon! Fly faster!" Sindel commanded as the call disconnected and Ruby descended into the train car.
Meanwhile the WBY were having a rough time doing their assignments, and it seemed that they were the ones in over their heads and not their leader. Their first obstacle was Roman Torchwick's accomplice, Neopolitan. This woman had a unique semblance, it gave her the power to create physical illusions that can be seen by everyone. Not wanting to waste any time, Yang volunteered to take care of the woman while her other two teammates went ahead.
What a horrible mistake that had been, Neo had practically toyed with Yang and wiped the floor with her. Because Yang relied solely on hand-to-hand combat, it was quite easy for Neo to trick her with her illusions and get quick hits in. She soon became too much for Yang to handle and Yang passed out soon after, it didn't help that she was feeling drawback from her semblance. When Yang woke up though she found Neo to be gone, and no one in the room, though she swore she saw a red sword…
Weiss let Blake go on ahead to the next car where Torchwick was hiding, while she handle the White Fang brute with the chainsaw. At first it was easy for Weiss, the White Fang member moved so slow thanks to him carrying around that chainsaw that he couldn't keep up with Weiss and her glyphs. The Schnee heiress kept getting so many quick hits in that she thought it was going to be an easy victory. Well until this happened…
"Come here princess!" The brute growled as he grabbed Weiss by the face.
"Ahh!" Weiss screamed as the brute slammed her into the ground and knocked her into the wall with his chainsaw.
In the final train car, Blake had found Roman Torchwick and after some unfunny remarks by the bowl hat wearing man, the two engaged in combat. The duel did not last particularly long, Roman talked a big game but he was not that much of a fighter. After getting his cane stuck in Blake's ice clone, the Faunus unleashed a devastating attack knocking the criminal into the wall and his cane on the other side of the room. Blake quickly subdued him by putting her foot on Roman's neck.
"Why are we fighting? I saw you at the rally, we're on the same side and you know it." Torchwick said smugly and Blake was about to respond until she was interrupted.
"Get in there!" The White Fang brute with the chainsaw growled as he threw Weiss into the room.
"Weiss!" Blake yelled in shock and horror.
"Heheheh, so what now Blake?" Roman asked smugly as she growled.
Blake was about to make the choice of either keeping her hold on Torchwick or leaving him to help Weiss. Luckily, she wouldn't have to, as Ruby entered with her semblance in a flash, taking the White Fang grunt by surprise. Her speed was too much for him, and she quickly subdued him by shooting him in the knees with her non-lethal rounds and quickly got behind him and knocked him out by slamming him into the ground.
"Tch, all that advanced hearing and you still couldn't hear me coming? Amateur." Ruby said unimpressed as the three other occupants looked at her in shock.
Though no one was more shocked than Roman Torchwick, he couldn't even recognize the Ruby Rose in front of him. Seriously, what the hell happened to her in these past couple months? She used to be just some annoying kid that always got in his way and needed her team to help stop him. But after seeing her take out that huge White Fang member with ease? It let him know that it was a completely different Red who was fighting him and it kind of freaked him out. Roman also noticed that he didn't hear the mechs on the train anymore…
"Are you both alright?" Ruby calmly asked her two teammates as their eyes widened.
"Wha- oh yes we are alright." Weiss said as she regained her conscious and composure, she and Blake were both shocked at what Ruby asked though.
"Good, Blake I'll take over." Ruby ordered as she started walking towards Torchwick.
"Wait Ruby, what happened to all of those mechs earlier?" Blake asked and Ruby rolled her eyes.
"Did you not hear me earlier? I told you I was going to handle them, so I handled them. Though Doctor Oobleck got one of them with this sick Zwei combo, wish I recorded it." Ruby said with a chuckle as they all looked at her with wide eyes.
'She got next to all of them?!' They all thought surprised as Ruby moved Blake off of Torchwick and stared down at him with a smirk on her face.
"How the mighty have fallen." Ruby said smugly as Roman rolled his eyes.
"Oh very clever Red, where did you get that line from a comic book?-GAH!" Roman yelped as Ruby placed her boot on Roman's chest.
"I'm not that cliché nor am I in the best of moods so I would refrain from making me angry." Ruby said coldly as she put Crescent Rose into its sniper form and held it close to Roman's face.
"Wh-what the hell are you doing?!" Roman asked surprised and freaked out at how cold Ruby was being.
"Not so good when the shoe is on the other foot is it Torchwick? Anyway, I am only going to ask this once so you better give a good answer. Considering your partnership with the White Fang has lasted this long, you must have made a deal with someone. Who is your main contact?" Ruby asked as she made sure not to bring up any of the guy's features that she saw on that video.
"Heh, why would I tell you that-AH!" Roman yelped as Ruby's foot when deeper into his chest.
"Do you really not see my gun in your face?" Ruby asked annoyed but then she heard her teacher.
"Girls! I need you all back up here!" Oobleck yelled and Roman chuckled.
"Well Red this has been lovely, but it seems you have other matters to attend to." Roman said smugly.
"You're right, we will continue this conversation later though so think about your answer in the time being. Wait, you can't think when you're knocked out…" Ruby said with a finger on her chin and Roman looked at her weirdly.
"What the hell are you talking about-OOMPH" Roman managed to get out as Ruby's foot slammed into his head and he became unconscious.
"Dumbass, let's go you two." Ruby said as she walked past them to the exit and got outside.
"Oh right…" Blake said as she and Weiss were knocked out of their stupor and followed her.
If they were being honest that whole scene was a bit disturbing for them, as they really saw how the sweet cookie-loving Ruby Rose was gone. The old Ruby would never have interrogated Torchwick like that, in fact that scene made Ruby look like some sort of bounty hunter pressing for information. They knew that Ruby was a detective now, but was that really all it took to change her like that? Was it that serious? They didn't know but swallowed it down for now.
As they got to the top of the cars, they saw that Doctor Oobleck had taken out the remaining White Fang members. He was alright, but they still had the problem of the moving train and not figuring out a way to stop it. What's worse, is that it seemed the train was going to hit a dead end soon and at top speed this would not be good. Ruby quickly came up with a plan and was able to order Weiss to do something but then Yang came up and she looked badly beaten.
"Oh my God Yang, it looks like hell spit you out, are you ok?" Ruby asked a bit concerned and Yang glared at her.
"Of course, why do you care?" Yang asked angrily and Ruby rolled her eyes.
"Yeah you're fine, anyway Weiss you need to freeze all of us and the train." Ruby commanded and everyone looked at her with wide eyes.
"What are you talking about?!" Weiss asked confused.
"We can't stop the train and it is going into a dead end. If you use your eyes, we can slow it down and protect us from the debris. We can't waste time just do it!" Ruby ordered and the WBY jumped at her commanding voice.
Weiss did as she was ordered by Ruby and covered themselves and the train in ice. It slowed down the train a bit but it still crashed into the sealed off exit. When the girls awoke from the crash, they found themselves in the main center of Vale and it wasn't just them. It was a ton of bystanders, and the grimm that had followed them thanks to those exploding cars. Quickly getting herself together, Ruby got her weapon in sniper mode and got ready and called to her teammates.
"Get yourselves together! We got work to do…" Ruby said seriously as she was prepared to protect the people at all costs.
Author Notes:
First of all, so many things that I have to say. In regards to what happened at Rooster Teeth, I am disgusted and saddened about hearing what happened at Rooster Teeth. I do not wish a toxic environment on anyone, and I ESPECIALLY do not condone harassment. It saddens me to see this happen to a company that brought me such entertainment throughout the years, but such is life. I do not know what will happen with RWBY or anything else, but I hope for the best. I thank you all for waiting, writing is becoming more and more difficult as I find myself more and more busy. I don't really care about fanfics anymore, but you guys like this so much that I can't help but want to finish it. Maybe I'll do some one shots about other things next year, but I will do my best to finish this. Please take care of yourselves and be excellent to each other.
