Kagome sat looking dazedly across the fire. 'Who am I?' she thought. 'Am I just Kikyo? Or is there more to me than just her soul?' She thought back to the day on Urasue's mountain.

Kaeade: Tis' only her hate for Inu Yasha that keeps the clay doll moving. Her soul shall not rest until she sees thee dead.

'So I'm just the part of her that loves Inu Yasha. Just the good part of her. Her better half.' She sat mulling this over in her mind until she heard the voice of the small kitsune calling her name. "Yes Shippo? What is it?" Shippo held out some fried fish for her. "Eat some. It's really good!" She took the dish smiling. 'No. There's more to me. I am my own person.'
