Disclaimer: I promise that I'm just borrowing these characters from Aaron Sorkin, Thomas Schlamme, John Wells et al for a little while. I will put them back just where I found them when I'm done with them, unharmed and just as they were when I took them. I claim absolutely no ownership of any aspect of the show, nor am I making any profit from this writing.
Author's Notes: This story was haunting me, and it wouldn't let me sleep until it was on paper. So I wrote it. Last night/early this morning. At one o'clock in the morning. It's a lot different than anything else I've ever written--but the lines were just running through my head. So here it goes.
Interesting Revelations
I hate that woman. I hate that woman. I HATE that woman.
Jordan Kendall just breezed into Leo's office without so much as a nod in my direction. She thinks that dating him gives her the right to simply waltz into his office whenever she pleases, without even bothering to ask if he's free. She's really got some nerve.
I hate her.
I can hear them both talking. Of course, I can't hear what they're saying because the door is closed. I can, however, make out the rumble of voices.
She's getting louder now. Nothing new. I think Jordan likes to yell.
Wait a minute. The office door just flew open. Jordan's storming out--and shooting daggers at me with her eyes as she passes. What the hell happened in there?

"MARGARET!!"
Leo's consistent, if nothing else.
I scurry in, my face displaying no emotion, my posture showing that I'm ready to go to work.
"Shut the door."
That's an odd request. I wonder why--oh, maybe he had a fight with Jordan. Yeah, that's probably it. He did something stupid which pissed her off, and now he wants me to fix it.
The door is closed. What next?
"Margaret, I just broke things off with Jordan."
Oh, okay. Why is he telling me this?
"Oh, Leo, I'm sorry."
He's out of his chair and walking around his desk. "Don't be. It was for the best."
He's motioning for me to sit down on the couch, which he is now standing in front of. I do, and he sits down next to me.
He's turning to face me, and I'm really starting to get nervous.
"I need to tell you why we broke up."
No, he really doesn't. "Oh…okay…"
He just grabbed my hand. What is wrong with him?
"It was because of you."
WHAT!? "Me? How…why…"
"Because I wasn't in love with Jordan. I'm in love with you."
Leo has definitely lost his mind.
"Me? You're…you're in love…with me?"
He just moved closer, which is causing me to be pressed back into the corner of the couch.
"Yes, Margaret. I'm in love with you. I love you."
Oh, dear Lord, he said it again. He's moving even closer now. He's really close. I think he's gonna kiss me. Yeah, he's gonna kiss me. Here he goes.
Great day in Heaven above can this man kiss. I'm weak; I can't think straight.
No, he's starting to pull away. "Mmm…I love you, too."
Oh, merciful God! Did I just admit that? Out loud? To him? I guess I did, because that adorable little grin is spread across his face.
"Okay, well now this is interesting."
He's kissing me again. Yeah, this is interesting.
