Hiroki liked to think that he had life somewhat figured out, even more so in recent memory. However, seeing the Governor of the Fallen Angels in front of him, offering him a job of all things was ludicrous. "Why in the world would I want to work for you?" His blatant hostility toward the Governor was not unnoticed.
Azazel scratched his goatee and flippantly replied, "Well, considering you have one of the missing Fallen Angels behind you, the fact you've had contact with both Maou siblings, and the fact you've had contact with a speculated Sacred Gear holder makes you two the best candidates for this. Yasaka here is blameless. I didn't mention anything about it so I could get this out before she goes all mother fox on me."
"And this is why I don't like speaking to you, you dusty crow," Yasaka said evenly but Hiroki picked up venom in her tone. Clearly, his words were the truth. She truly didn't know.
Wait…back up, missing Fallen Angel? That was when Kasane's voice piped up, "What do you mean missing? I was an orphan, left alone in that place until I met Hiroki…"
Azazel sighed, looking as if he aged fifteen years in the span of a second, "That's…a story for another time. I will explain it to you soon when this is over. You'll be paid, of course, but I would rather this be willing than me trying to coerce you. Since you two mated, neither one of you will want to be separated."
Hiroki narrowed his eyes, the protective side of him rearing its head, "If you tried, I'd blow your eardrums out."
Kasane's grip tightened on him, "Hirochi…he could easily wipe the floor with us…he's got twelve wings…he's the one recorded in the Bible."
That got him to look back at Azazel to see him smiling in amusement, "I see." Waving his hand, he set off a small sound grenade at him. The Fallen Angel did not flinch except for rubbing his ear, "Using the power of sound, quite an interesting Sacred Gear."
"Azazel-san, the point please?" Yasaka questioned with a pointed look, her tails swaying threateningly behind her.
He sighed, "Listen, you keep an eye on my subordinates and hand them this," he says as a piece of paper comes through a magic circle, floating into Hiroki's hand. Kasane read it over his shoulder, making sure to keep Azazel in her line of sight. "These are orders that they must obey since I have a feeling that they have gone rogue, a last resort on my end. The reason I can't intervene is it would be seen as an act of aggression toward the Devils and that could spark the Great War all over again and I really really don't want another fight."
Hiroki sighed and turned around to hug Kasane to his chest, needing the comfort of his mate right now. "We don't have to."
"B-But you said-"
"His protective instincts are acting up," Yasaka said. "This happens with recently mated dragons."
"I'd also like to foster a relationship with the two devil heiresses in Kuoh, and I'd go myself but my presence would cause all sorts of uproar Yasaka," Azazel said, watching the scene with acute traces of fondness.
"We'll do it," Kasane said, her eyes staring straight at Azazel. Hiroki grumbled as he rubbed her cheek with his. "However, you need to give me context about this missing Fallen Angel thing."
He crossed his arms, violet meeting blood red, his tone now grave, "Little over nine years ago, multiple Fallen Angels who lived amongst humans had their homes broken into and their babies cradlenapped. You were one of them. We searched high and low for four years and found no trace of them. So far, out of the thirty confirmed missing, we've found seven, now eight—meaning you, Kasane."
"But…how…I…" she didn't remember it. She remembers the orphanage but nothing else before it. Anytime she tried to remember, she got a headache in return.
"This is why I wished to wait," Azazel said with some regret laced in his tone. "I just know that certain people in the Grigori will be happy and relieved to see you. That can wait though."
Hiroki held her tighter to him, making his wings appear, "No one will take you again…I'll kill them if they try…this I swear to you, my mate." His navy eyes turned draconic. He kissed her cheek, then the corner of her mouth. How he wanted to spend the day, assuring her over and over again that he was not going to let anything happen to her…
…but alas, they just spent two days doing just that. He could wait, the human side of him that is. He knew that he wanted to build the relationship properly.
Azazel couldn't hide his shock despite all of his years keeping a poker face when needed, "So, she actually had a kid…" he looked to Yasaka to see her narrowing her eyes at him. Message received. He doesn't know.
"Well good, you may want to get ready. If who I assume my subordinates are targeting is going to be the Red Dragon Emperor, prepare yourselves. Any questions regarding this?"
Kasane recovered from the exposition but pushed it out of her mind, she'll have to take time after this to sort it out. "Wait, Red Dragon Emperor?!"
"I thought that it felt familiar…considering that a piece of Vitra is with Sona-san," Hiroki mumbled, getting Azazel's curious eyes. He reluctantly retracted his wings, slowly letting go of Kasane, before looking Azazel in the eye. "Which subordinates did you send, how many wings, and do you want them alive or crippled?"
Azazel quirked an eyebrow at the sudden change in tone but accepted it nonetheless, "Four of them, all two-winged, alive if possible. On the off chance they don't comply, give them a good smack. Raynare, Kalawarner, Dohnaseek, and Mittelt are their names. Maybe you can add one of them as your mate" he said with a cunning smirk.
Hiroki narrowed his eyes and set off more sound grenades, this time making the Governor's posture twitch slightly.
"Noted. They don't seem to be your type anyway," he said, rubbing his ears.
Yasaka then used her tail to slap Hiroki upside the head. He didn't react and he noticed the small grin on her face. She approved but couldn't voice it.
"Oh, and one more thing," the Fallen Angel said, handing Hiroki a burner phone, "Use this to contact me either once the job is complete or you need to threaten them that you have me on speed dial. My number is the only one in there. Use this magic circle to summon the orders to show them. If they rip it up or deny it, you have my explicit permission to give them no quarter, but they are to come back alive."
Kasane just knew he wasn't lying and was genuinely upset about this. However, she felt like she knew him—aside from just knowing him as the leader of the Fallen Angels—from somewhere else. Her memory failed her and looked away.
"Just make sure you hold up your end. Remember, you're 'hiring' us out from Yasaka, so that means-"
"I've hired the Western Youkai Faction, I'm more than aware, dragon boy," the man said. "Hopefully Shemhazai won't throttle me when I return."
"Penemue-san might," Yasaka quipped, "You know she has a mean streak a few centuries long. Now, if that is all, Azazel-san, please leave while I speak to these two."
Azazel waved before exiting out the door but not before getting one last quip, "Make sure to use your wings during sex, makes the experience fifty times better at the minimum!"
Both Kasane and Hiroki flushed at that crass remark. Yasaka seemed unaffected.
"Now, you two…" Yasaka approached them and the rational part of them backed up before her tails swiftly encumbered them. "Congratulations once more and I'm so happy you have stopped trying to deny each other. Just note that if you decide to mate, make sure to put up a soundproof barrier. I don't need you to corrupt my little Kunou."
The mated couple let out a sigh of relief and relaxation. Yasaka's tails were really soft. "We never planned on it! You'll be the one who corrupts her when you tease us in front of her!"
Yasaka giggled at the defensive tone, "Ara, well when I'm a single mother, I have to 'get my kicks' somehow and one day, I may need some help with certain things."
They blushed even harder as Yasaka's eyes went half-lidded and playful. "Why must you imply that?"
"I've implied nothing, you little perverts," the Kyuubi teased with a foxy grin. She stopped upon seeing Kasane's faraway look. "Kasane-chan, I did not know you were one of the missing Fallen. Had I known that the Grigori was looking, I would've reported that I was caring for you. Little do you know that I treat you like I do because as much as I would like to adopt you, I cannot."
"I-It's okay. I know…I see you as sort of an…aunt figure?" She said slowly, coming out as a question rather than a statement.
Hiroki didn't like seeing his mate so distressed and lost. He gently cupped her chin and gave her a chaste kiss. He wanted to deepen it but it was only for her reassurance. She returned his kiss with a slightly longer one. "Thank you," she whispered with a blush.
"Anytime," he whispered with a smile. He must have let some of his lust slip into his expression because she returned his smile with a slightly sultry one.
"Later, once the night is over…if we have time."
Yasaka sighed as the two love birds were lost in their own world. "Hurry back, and prepare yourselves. I'd rather this not reflect poorly upon my faction."
""Hai, Yasaka-san,"" the pair chorused.
Once the pair took the circle back to Kuoh, in their apartment, they decompressed. No, not in that way. Both of them had some tact to them, even if they both wanted to spend more time in the pleasures of flesh. Hiroki tossed the phone Azazel gave him in his hands. "I still find it odd that he would ask us…"
"I'm…still trying to grasp that I was kidnapped…" Kasane admitted as she went to the kitchenette and started brewing tea. "I…didn't feel or remember being kidnapped…but still, how could I be a missing Fallen Angel?"
Hiroki sighed, "I wish I knew. The way he was looking at me made it seem like he knew something about me that I don't." Pushing the thought into the back of his mind, "Well, it's about…two in the afternoon. I need your opinion on something, Kasane." He forgoed the added '-chan' suffix since they are closer than ever. "Should we tell the heiresses about this or do this on the down low? We know that Gremory-senpai is after Hyoudou-san because of his speculated ownership of the Boosted Gear."
"However, this could lead to problems with them, if they don't like us snooping around their territory-"
"-which should be owned by the Shinto Faction," Hiroki added in.
"Irrelevant; but that does not mean we can just go after them on a whim. We need information."
"I feel like if we had asked Azazel, he would've said something about no free handouts. Asshole…" Hiroki grumbled, thanking Kasane when she handed him a cup of tea. She then leaned her head against his shoulder.
The white-haired psychokinetic hummed, "I'm curious as to how many more have gone missing. He said thirty but that could mean thirty that they know about and I'm afraid of the answer."
"We'll have to cross that when we get there. For now, do you want to take a walk around Kuoh and just casually search?" Hiroki asked his mate. He felt his chest swell with pride at that. His mate. His mate. He never really thought he would have one and he just felt like she was the perfect person for him…
…and he completely missed her response, prompting her to frown at him.
"Were you even paying attention?"
"Yes?" he offered sheepishly.
Scoffing, "Okay…but five more minutes…you're really comfy."
They didn't leave for at least a half-hour. Kasane insisted that her five minutes reset every time he spoke up. He would be mad if it was anyone else but she was his. Hiroki swore he heard a whipping sound.
The pair left their apartment arms interlocked, tea in their to-go cups. Those things were useful, especially since the air was slightly cooler than it was in Kyoto. The warmth of the tea provided just the right balance, even though Hiroki doesn't get affected by most temperatures…being half-dragon and all.
The first place they stopped was the park. The fountain in the center really tied it all together, the soft sound of the water trickling into the rest of the base made for a calming atmosphere. Kasane closed her eyes and trusted Hiroki to guide her as they walked along. Of course, they drew some eyes from the elder folk who were out at this time of day. While public displays of affection were considered rude, as long as they didn't bring attention to themselves, they would be fine.
Considering the only thing that Hiroki was doing was guiding his girlfriend by his own arm, he thought it wasn't too terrible. Then again, these people were not half-dragon. Showing affection for their mates was considered one of the highest forms of care. The highest had to be fighting against them to see their strength. The navy-haired halfling had his head on a swivel, as well as his draconic instincts. Those senses found no traces of Fallen Angels—Kasane doesn't count—but there were minute traces of demonic energy. That came in the form of a girl with reddish-auburn hair, a pair of glasses, and what looked to be a blouse and skirt combo that Hiroki didn't bother looking at.
The girl was handing out fliers without a care, with a smile. She turned to them and immediately, the smile froze on her face. Hiroki felt his mouth shift into a smirk, Kasane opened her eyes and immediately noticed what caused it. "No antagonizing."
"I wasn't going to," he weakly defended, smirk still in place.
"H-Hello," the girl said, fear plastered on her visage.
"Please relax, my boyfriend means you no harm," Kasane took over, subtly telling him to reel in his aura if he was leaking it. Sometimes, Kasane doesn't even notice he does. He gave her a questioning look which translated to 'I'm not releasing my aura.'
Kasane quickly put the pieces together, "Your master has not informed you of our presence, have they?" The girl shook her head. "Typical…"
"We just wanted to take a stroll, surely we don't need your master's permission to walk around?" Hiroki whispered. Normal folk don't need to hear this kind of talk. They might get the wrong idea. "Can we have one of those?" he gestured to the fliers in her hand, already thinking of a way to round up the mission.
Azazel didn't give a time limit but something tells Hiroki that faster meant better. It would mean that Kasane could get her answers.
"S-Sure," she stuttered.
Once they were away from the devil familiar, Kasane spoke, "What the hell are they planning? A flier? Really? This is what they are going to use?"
"Calm down, Kasane, please," Hiroki asked his mate. The demonic energy that he felt from the flier matched that of Gremory-senpai, having spent around an hour with her, he was able to get her scent and her demonic 'wavelength' so to speak. "Think about this rationally."
"I am though."
"No, you're freaking out," he retorted, bopping her lightly on the head. "She has these fliers to give out contracts. Devils live off these, so she could be trying to reach out to new clientele. That does not mean she is using this specifically for Hyoudou-san."
"She could be," Kasane pouted back.
Folding and stuffing the flier in his pocket, "I didn't say that. She thinks she's smart but she almost seems…"
"Desperate?" the white-haired girl inquired, relishing the contact with her boyfriend.
"...yeah," he said. "I don't know the reason and asking Yasaka would be a lesson in futility. Azazel might know but calling him is not the play."
The two continued to wander around Kuoh, visiting little shops and looking at the cute art on display. Hiroki noticed something that caught his eye and stealthily purchased it to give her later. The necklace should make her happy. He'd make one himself if he had any talent in the arts and crafts.
He doesn't.
Truthfully, he doesn't know what she sees in him but he's happy that she's with him.
As they were leaving the shop, that was when they felt it. That aura. The aura of a Fallen Angel not even bothering to hide who they are. This made them shift to an on-guard state while keeping their calm composure.
That was when they heard a voice, "Ah Hyoudou-kun! You're here! Were you waiting long?"
The pair quickly hid behind a wall, casually leaning on one another, giving the illusion that they were about to kiss…which they did…but the recon first.
"N-No, Yumma-san, I just got here," Issei said to his date.
Kasane peeked out from the crook of Hiroki's neck and she had to admit that this 'Yumma' was pretty cute. She was wearing a short black dress with a small, light purple jacket on top with black boots that went just below the knee. A cute outfit for a first date. Hiroki only found himself looking at her in disdain.
For some reason, Yumma ticked Hiroki off. Not because of Kasane's gaze on her but because something wasn't adding up. Azazel gave them their names, yes, but there aren't many Fallen Angels in Kuoh who would be this brazen. The problem was that Issei was part of the Perverted Trio.
He didn't see anything wrong with this. He saw a pretty girl who asked him to be her boyfriend. What he didn't see was how fake she was. The blushes, the giggles, and the reactions. She was playing him.
The pair tailed them covertly, Hiroki using his Gear to hide their footsteps. As for their presence, well, it was just up to Lady Luck that Yumma wasn't searching for them at present. She seemed to be so confident in her mission that she was ignoring the possibility that someone was already onto her. The only inclination that he was using Sonokinesis was the slight change in his aura.
Kasane found herself looking at Yumma with a more scrutinized eye…like she remem-
"Kasane!" Hiroki exclaimed, seeing his mate clutch her head in agony. "Talk to me."
"W-What…" she said dazedly. The white-haired girl groaned, "Why does it hurt? Who is she?"
At this point, it seemed that she wasn't all here right now, and for Hiroki, this was stressing him out. He didn't expect the onslaught of emotions that welled up within his chest, the protectiveness, the possessiveness, and the heart-wrenching fear that something was happening to his mate and he was powerless to stop it. He cared not for anyone else except her. His mate.
Seconds later, Kasane blinked and shook her head, "Hirochi? Why are you holding me like this? We aren't alone…" the girl's cheeks were bright red, as she found herself in his arms, in a protective hold.
Concern covered his face, "You mean…you don't remember the last three minutes?"
"We were eavesdropping on Hyoudou-san's date, and we found who it was, right?"
"So, you don't remember being in agony for the last three minutes?"
"No…?"
"Azazel owes me answers after this. I will find out what's happening," he growled to himself but Kasane heard him either way. She wasn't going to try and dissuade him because damn it, she wanted answers too.
Kasane looked around and found that neither Hyoudou nor Yumma were around, "We have to find them. I…I feel like I know her. Somehow…I want answers and it will be from her." Hiroki didn't like that and his distaste must've shown on his face because Kasane cupped his cheek, rubbing her thumb in a gentle circle. He was fiercely protective of her, and he always has been. Some of Kasane's earlier memories were of Hiroki sticking by her side, even if she pretended that she didn't want him around.
Hiroki looked around the park once more, trying to distinguish the scents. He really needs to let out his draconic side more often…he's left it alone for too long. He'll have to ask Yasaka later for help with that. "Fine. Lead on."
Kasane reluctantly slipped out of her boyfriend's hold and started walking in the last direction that she saw them in. She cautiously peeked around corners and acted as nonchalant as possible. The psychokinetic didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Azazel said there were four of them…so where could they be hiding in a devil's town? "Hiroki."
"You're thinking of where they could be hiding," he stated. "Well, they certainly wouldn't be around the Academy, that's a death sentence, and we know Fallen were once Angels of the man upstairs." He gave his thoughts, "I don't know much about this place but I'd see if we can find a church…wow…I'm an idiot."
"No, you're not. You're my idiot," Kasane said with a small smug smile. He glared at her but there was no heat to it. "Come on, we still have to-never mind."
There they were, sitting at a cafe, just chatting. It still disgusted Hiroki that she was faking it. Everything about her was fake, even her appearance probably. Most supernatural beings are able to alter their appearance after they reach a certain threshold, whether that be age, magical prowess, or mental advancement.
Yet, Hyoudou looked as happy as can be, even though he still stared at her tits from time to time. If only this wasn't a setup.
Yumma knew when this was going to be the easiest assignment ever. This fucking little brat only cared about tits. She caught him staring at her sizable chest a few times but found it endearing in a twisted way that he would snap back to her. Yumma had to follow Azazel-sama's orders to the letter! Those orders? Observe Hyoudou Issei, and if his Sacred Gear runs rampant and or poses a threat to the Fallen Angels, kill him.
He was deemed too dangerous and Yumma could tell that. She could feel the Sacred Gear ready to manifest. Thankfully, he was too weak as a human to bring it forward. While she did find some enjoyment from this little date, she could not let that overcloud her judgment. Even if that little trinket he bought her was nice and matched her outfit.
While she did have contact with her fellow Fallen, she decided that she would take this mission solo. It was easier and more discreet, and she could easily manipulate the memories of the people who found his body. The only thing she had to make sure of was that he did not fall into the hands of the Devils in this territory.
While Yumma may be a two-winged Fallen, she could easily take on most of the Devils in the area, aside from the Heiresses. "Ano, are you alright, Yumma-san?"
Yumma glanced up, slightly shocked, then faked a blush, "N-No, Ise-kun, I'm alright…just lost in thought. I was thinking of the perfect way to end the date."
"Well, I still have to walk you home. I wouldn't feel right if I let a cute and beautiful girl walk home by herself," Issei said with a beaming smile.
Yumma looked away as she realized that this boy was too naive to be a threat. Yet that fucking smile pissed her off to no end! As she looked away, she swore she saw a flash of white and then it was covered again.
Where do I remember that shade of white? The last person I knew who had that was…no, it can't be?! Yumma almost shed her disguise right there to go find out but while she was on mission, she would complete it before going to check for any personal affairs. After all, Azazel-sama's favor was on the line!
Kasane dragged Hiroki behind her when he wasn't moving fast enough. They just managed to squeeze into the barrier before it closed. They almost lost Yumma and Hyoudou again but Hiroki managed to sniff them out again. The more he uses those senses, the better off he will be.
Using sonokinesis again, he leapt into the trees surrounding the fountain. The same fountain that they were at earlier today. The one thing that Hiroki observed about Kuoh was how small it was. Compared to other towns or cities, this was small. Nice neighborhood though.
He assisted Kasane up to a lower branch before he moved across to have two angles on the situation. Both of them had activated their Sacred Gears, so [Eternal Sorrow] and [Endless Candor] covered them. They raised their hoods but have not entered their Balance Breakers. It was only to cover their hair because white reflected a lot better in the night—considering the full moon—and navy blue stood out against the background of the trees.
"I have one favor to ask you, Ise-kun," Yumma said in her cutesy voice, as she put her arms behind her and leaned forward, accenting her chest, probably giving Hyoudou a good look at her cleavage. She whispered something to him and his whole body froze.
"I'm sorry, could you say that again?"
Yumma's smile turned from cute to dark. She stepped back and she shed her disguise, "I asked you if you could die for me?" Then 'Yumma' leaped into the air and revealed herself.
Two Fallen Angel wings extended from her back as her dress was replaced with what Hiroki could describe as BDSM gear. Straps that covered her nipples, crotch, and shoulders, black boots that ended just under her knees, and her whole body matured maybe about six or seven years.
Yumma's face matured as well, "Now, it's time for you to die."
"[Balance Breaker: Psycho Brain Drive!/Sono Brain Drive!]"
At the , the two exited their hiding places. Hiroki took the option to use his power on his vocal cords. Issei turned to look at the new arrivals, "Who the hell are you people?! What's going on? Why does Yumma have wings?! Why do you have red eyes? What the hell?!"
Hiroki almost felt bad at his confusion, "We're on your side. For now, let us deal with the Fallen. Leave the area discreetly or hide, either way, you will have an explanation."
Kasane stepped ahead, her strides held purpose, even as her war fans spread from her back in a purple glow, "Fallen Angel, you're breaking orders that your leader sent you. Identify yourself."
"Why should I?" 'Yumma' said with disdain. "I had to suffer with this lowly pervert the entire afternoon! How I wanted to rip his throat out!"
Hiroki stood next to Kasane, "You must be Raynare. Your boss wants a word with you. I got his number on speed dial, and he also wanted me to hand you this." Using the magic circle Azazel instructed him to use, the orders appeared, "I have them right here. I am to show them to you and you decide what happens next. If you comply, we can walk without injury. You refuse, you're the one whose wings I tear out first."
The orders flew right into Raynare's hand and her whole expression would be priceless if not for the situation at hand. This pissed her off to no end, even as she crinkled the paper.
"That's impossible. Azazel-sama's orders were to kill this brat. Why has he changed them now?!"
"I still have his number, right here," Hiroki held up the burn phone, his mask giving him the look of a hunter. He was just waiting for her to deny it. "Last chance, Fallen."
"AHHHH!" a scream tore the air. Hiroki dropped the phone and ran.
"Stay here!" he ordered Kasane. "Subdue her if you have to!" Meanwhile, in his head, he was cursing his stupidity. Why did I leave him alone?! How stupid can you fucking be? In response to his rage, his aura was leaking. Exiting another part of the park, Hiroki found Hyoudou…
…with a large hole in his chest and a Male Fallen over him, laughing. "You thought you could escape us? You little shit, you were doomed from the moment you were born!"
Hiroki didn't know what happened. One moment, he was looking at the situation at hand. The next, he had a patch of black feathers in hand.
Disregarding that, he went over to Hyoudou and cradled him. The blood was running free from his chest. Hiroki couldn't help him…but he may know someone who can.
At that moment, Kasane broke the tree line, "Hiro…ki…" her Balance Breaker was still in place but she had felt his rage, and noticed the body of the Male Fallen.
"What happened with Raynare?"
"She flew off," Kasane breathed. "What happened? I felt your rage…your mark let me experience it. I've never felt that before…"
"I…I failed," Hiroki said with regret. "I told him to run and I didn't have either one of us guide him to safety. I made the assumption that she didn't have any of her acquaintances with her…but."
Kasane laid a hand on his shoulder, her voice soft, "Don't wallow in your regrets." Unfortunately, she had to ask, "He's going to die, isn't he?"
"He's still breathing…I think…" Hiroki said weakly as a red flash from Hyoudou's pocket lit up the surrounding area. "The flier…of course…this can save him." Setting him down, Hiroki stood, arms crossed, the blood from the brown-haired boy on his outfit. He'll clean it later. Standing across from the red magic circle was one Rias Gremory.
She took in the situation and saw the poor boy who contained a Sacred Gear. Then, she noticed the two with red eyes standing close by, "Was it you who did this?"
"We did not, but we know who did," Hiroki answered, his tone low, filled with regret. "We're tracking them but they've bugged off. We'll be in the area until it's resolved, non-negotiable." Their Balance Breakers hid their faces, so speaking to the heiress was no problem.
She quickly went to Hyoudou's side. "He's still alive."
"Save him," Hiroki said, his voice tight. "It was my fault that he was caught. He wasn't supposed to be…" Kasane gripped his arm, stopping him. "Make him your servant, but on the condition, you give him the information he needs to know about being a devil. He deserves that much."
Rias looked up at them, keeping their distance, "I already planned on it. We need to discuss your presence here."
Kasane murmured under her breath, "We already have."
"We'll meet when he needs us. For now, save him. We'll be leaving," Hiroki said to the heiress and turned his back, looking back to see the body of the Fallen Angel that Hiroki messed up was gone. Someone must have retrieved him. Kasane followed suit, leaving Rias and Issei alone. I'll make it up to you. My pride demands it.
Waking up for Hyoudou Issei was a standard affair. Wake up, get showered, dressed, eat breakfast, think about tits, and go to school. However, that changed when he found that a hot red-headed beauty was sleeping next to him, naked! His lecherous grin was on his face before he heard his mother.
"Oh no."
"Hmm? What seems to be the problem?" She asked, stretching her arms above her head, not caring that he was staring at her breasts. His fingers made the 'grabby-grabby' motion before shaking his head. "Why are you in my bed?"
"Well, my name is Rias Gremory, and I'm a devil."
"…"
"No, I'm not kidding, Hyoudou Issei. Do you remember last night?"
Issei paused, "I mean I was on a date…I think, then I swear that my girlfriend had wings and…I ran…"
'Will you die for me?'
Issei paused and shivered. His hand went to his chest. Rias saw this and moved to comfort him but decided she spent enough time naked, even if she wanted to smother her newest servant in affection.
"Could you help me?" Rias asked as she put on her panties, her shapely ass towards Issei. "It's a little difficult."
"O-Oh, of course, Gremory-senpai," he said with trepidation at his own situation. He quickly helped fasten her bra and at that moment, the matron of the Hyoudou household entered the room.
"Honey! Our baby boy did it! A FOREIGNER AND SHE'S CUTE!" She screamed as she ran out of the room, unaware of how her baby boy was protesting the opposite.
A resounding voice boomed shortly after, "WHAT?! I WANT TO MEET THIS GIRL!"
"I'm sorry about that," Issei apologized.
"Don't be, I can explain it to them once we go to the kitchen," Rias assured him. She still had to follow through with her word. She needed time to explain to him what happened. However, it was the troublesome report her familiar gave her that had her frowning out of Issei's sight. The two people she reported were people she's kept an eye on since they met. Now, it's not a hard leap in logic to deduce who those two people she met last night were. Even if they didn't say their names, it still led to her the question: What were they trying to do?
Once Hiroki and Kasane were home, the latter pulled out the burner phone, "Let's call him. Tell him what happened, nothing left out."
Sighing heavily, "Sure." He grabbed the phone from her awaiting hand and dialed the number.
The phone rang three times before a voice answered, "Hello hello?"
"Azazel-san, it's us."
"Ah, I was waiting for your call. How did it go?" His voice was light-hearted but that could change.
"Hyoudou-san is now a devil because of my own incompetence. I sent him away from Raynare, not even thinking that another one of her associates was close by."
"So, he's a Devil now? Hmm, that doesn't change much. I assume you gave her my orders?"
Kasane swiped the phone from him, "How can you be so crass? He died!"
"And he's alive now thanks to the Gremory girl, Kasane-chan," Azazel said, unsurprised by her voice. Wherever one was, the other was close behind. "Put me on speaker." Kasane did so. "Raynare ended up flying back to me and explaining everything. In fact, she was asking about you, Kasane. She saw a small flash of white while on her date and she immediately asked about you. She wondered if you remembered the days she babysat you."
"I don't. Speaking of, you owe me an explanation about this Missing Fallen Angel business," she said, leaving a hand on Hiroki's shoulders, rubbing an absent-minded circle. His guilt was still there and it wouldn't go away so easily. Sex won't help, that much was abundantly clear.
"She also says that Dohnaseek is missing a wing. Hiroki-san, that was you, wasn't it?" Azazel asked, not sounding upset. He was very flippant with how one of his subordinates was missing a wing.
"I fell into a rage upon seeing Hyoudou's body with a gaping hole in his chest. I don't remember it. After that, my next memory was cradling his body before Gremory-senpai arrived."
Azazel sighed, "Well, not much we can do about it. Go on about your day as normal. Kasane-chan, I'm extending an invitation for you and your mate to enter Grigori. If you want answers, you have to show up. You can decline but you won't get the closure you're so desperately chasing after. Hiroki-san, you keep her safe, and don't let your guilt consume you. As for the other three rogues, you can bring them back but you may have to wait a few days. I've heard that a Holy Maiden is making her way to Kuoh. Assist her in getting out of there just try not to draw the ire of the Heiress if possible, okay?"
The two shared a glance, having a small mental non-verbal conversation, before they turned to the phone, ""We accept.""
"Azazel-sama-"
"Just Azazel, please, and thank you. As for if you accept the invitation, just call me and I'll send Raynare to you. This is her punishment because as much as she is crazy, she is loyal so please don't hold her actions against her. She was following what she had presumed to be my orders but I value Sacred Gear users because of their uniqueness. I hate losing precious data like that."
"Yasaka mentioned you were a Sacred Gear researcher, which means you want us as well," Hiroki scoffed with a smirk.
"Guilty but I prefer consent, you know!" He said just as a door opened in the background. "Stay safe, kiddos. We'll talk soon, I hope."
The phone beeped off before Kasane spoke up, "Let's get going, school is about to start."
"I'm sorry," he said.
She smiled at him, her eyes softening, "You have nothing to apologize to me for, okay, Hirochi?"
He looked up, his navy eyes watery, "Thank you…" he mumbled before she hugged him into her chest, running her fingers through his hair.
The pair then left for school, without pause. As they were on their way, they ran into Issei and Rias. "Good morning, Hyoudou-san, Gremory-senpai," Hiroki greeted.
They turned and Issei's eyes went wide for a moment before stuttering out a hello. Rias returned the greeting but not without a healthy dose of suspicion in her eyes. The redhead decided to shoot her shot, "Would it be possible if I can speak with both of you after classes today in the ORC room?"
Kasane answered, "Of course. I think it's time we clear up any misunderstandings." A subtle nod.
"Gremory-senpai, did you fill out my request?" Hiroki asked, looking her directly in the eye.
Rias responded with a nod, "I have…but this discussion is important. Don't miss it."
Issei, the poor boy, looked so confused. "When did you meet them, Buchou?"
"A few days ago, Ise-kun," Rias said. They arrived at Kuoh Academy, "I'll send someone to collect you at the end of the day. Stay safe. Kuno-san and Randall-san, could you watch him for me?"
"We're in his class, so that shouldn't be a problem, Gremory-senpai," Kasane answered. "Let's get to class before Sona-kaichou decides to have us stay after school any longer than needed. Hyoudou-san, please follow."
Issei looked back and forth before following along. He ended up at Hiroki's side. The navy-haired boy looked over, "You have my apologies."
"What for, Kuno-san?"
"Call me Hiroki-san, Issei-san," he responded. "As for what that apology was…you'll find out later today." With that, he walked forward to grasp hands with Kasane. She leaned up and kissed his cheek.
Issei was absolutely stupefied that he honestly forgot to ask if anyone knew his girlfriend. Not even the antics of the Perverted Duo were able to snap him out of it. Issei was truly out of his element. It was so jarring that he was abnormally silent for the entire day. The glances that Hiroki was giving him were that of grief. This only increased his confusion.
He caught a conversation when Aika confronted them, explaining that their whole aura was different. When she asked if they did it, their silence was damning but the content smiles on their faces made Issei jealous for a moment. "You two finally did it?"
"What do you mean finally?" Hiroki asked.
Aika raised up her glasses, glinting in the light. How? She's in the shadows!? "Well, the repressed sexual energy you two gave off was one indicator. Kasane-san's smile is just a bit brighter today."
"Should I be concerned that you can do this stuff?" Hiroki asked, seemingly bored yet simultaneously intrigued.
Aika smirked, "Naw, call it a talent and leave it at that."
Kasane rolled her eyes but Issei noticed the small blush on her cheeks. Then he felt a glare and saw Hiroki eyeing him. For some reason, he felt the need to submit to that look. Not in any sexual sense but in a hierarchical sense.
Looking away, that jealousy remained, which he cannot control as they did express they'd known one another since they were kids. That made him think of someone he used to play with when he was six.
Issei honestly didn't pay much attention to his classes because of the information he received this morning. He was a Devil now, like those things out of the Bible. The fucking Bible! Gremory-senpai promised him that he would get filled in on the details of being a servant, even though she said precious before that, of the Gremory family.
A knock at the classroom door broke him out of his thoughts as one of the only other bishounen in Kuoh walked through the door, Kiba Yuuto. The ladies all—in Issei's opinion—basically orgasmed at the sight of him, except Kasane and Aika. The boys all glared at him except Hiroki, as the reason was obvious. "Hello, could I please have Kuno-san, Randall-san, and Hyoudou-san please follow me? Buchou would like to speak with you all."
The former two looked at each other with this tense aura that Issei found strange. "Best not keep a lady waiting, Hyoudou-san," Hiroki called out, noting that the pervert hadn't risen out of his seat.
"A-Ah, sorry!" Issei exclaimed as he grabbed his bag and followed along.
Just as he passed Hiroki, he could have sworn he heard him whisper, "This is where my apology will make sense."
"Eh?"
Kiba led the trio to the Old School Building but as fake as the smile he wore, he could feel the tension between the three people. It wasn't hostile by any means but it was a bit awkward. Buchou only wanted to confirm something with the pair but according to her, Hyoudou is his new peerage member.
They said nothing while Hiroki slipped on an emotionless mask, Kasane frowning at him as she noticed the slight change in posture. His look softened when she met his eyes as he sent her a silent apology but for the duration of this second meeting, he would have to be this way.
Kiba guided them through the building, passing a room that had caution tape. Hiroki smelled vampiric energy within the room but made no comment. Issei still trailed behind, trying to find meaning in Hiroki's previous words. "Buchou, I've brought them."
"Enter."
Kiba opened the door and gestured for them to enter. Inside the room was Victorian architecture, candles lined the walls making it the only source of light within the room, dark red curtains blocking off the walls, and to top off the clichés, there was a shower running…
…something Issei immediately noted before getting that perverse grin on his face.
As soon as he did, Hiroki grabbed him by the base of his neck, "None of that in here. If you cannot be respectful, then I shall make you learn to respect," the draconic aura could not be hidden, evidenced by the eyes now glaring directly into Issei's.
Issei felt a pulse in his left hand but the reaction, the emotion rather, puzzled the young pervert. Fear. He didn't have the answers but he would get them soon. The perverse grin disappeared and closed his eyes and tried not to think that his senpai was beyond that curtain…all wet…and…n-naked…
"Hopeless, this one, Kasane-hime?" Hiroki facepalmed at the kid's dedication to the perverted act.
Kasane hummed, "Mind explaining why there is a shower in an old school building?"
The raven-haired beauty known as Akeno answered, "Buchou lives here. So, she needed the necessities. Buchou, I have your towel." Walking to the next room, she was gone for ten seconds.
The white-haired girl nodded, "Makes sense."
The other white-haired girl, sitting on one of the two couches munched on her snacks. She glanced at the arrivals and glared at Issei, "Pervert. You're the enemy of all women." She shot her gaze at Hiroki but said nothing. He didn't acknowledge her stare.
Once Rias was fully dressed, she sat behind her desk. Akeno was behind her, standing with that ever-present smile. Koneko was eating her sweets while Kiba was reading a book across from her. Issei, Hiroki, and Kasane stood across from them all.
"So, I'm sure you're wondering why I've asked for you, Hyoudou-kun?" Rias asked.
"Y-You can just call me, Issei, or Ise, Rias-senpai," he said.
Rias smiled at him, pleased. "Now, I've called you two here because I'm following through with your request, Hiroki-san."
"Not surprised you figured it out," Hiroki said, much to the confusion of the peerage. Koneko tilted her head at this, then glanced at Hiroki, then Issei before going back to her sweets. "Couldn't have your greedy hands trying to reach into places where they don't belong."
Kasane nudged him, none too gently, "Be nice."
"Hai, Hime," he groaned. "Anyway, you saved him when I asked but something tells me that you planned on it anyway."
Rias neither confirmed nor denied this but instead spoke, "Since Ise-kun is now a Devil, I guess you can make good on your promise. You did say that he has a draconic Sacred Gear. I'm curious as to what it is, since…you're aware of the Evil Piece system?"
Kasane nodded, "We are."
"You know there's eight of one piece?" Two nods. "He took all of them." Their heads shot over to Issei who reared back in surprise.
"W-What?! I didn't do anything this time, honest!" he spoke out in his defense, not that he needed it this time.
Akeno laughed, "Fufufu, so defensive…I wonder what you'll be like if you ever said yes to me…"
Kiba flushed lightly at that. Kasane turned to Akeno with inquisitive eyes, "She's a sadist."
Another giggle, "Guilty. Why don't you let me have your boyfriend? Take him for a spin?"
Hiroki narrowed his eyes at that and refrained from speaking. Kasane declined that but asked if she could share some methods at a later date. Kasane mumbled something about trying some things to 'spice up' their time together. Hiroki smiled at seeing Kasane attempting to branch out. His mate filled him with pride.
Unbeknownst to them, Rias saw the look Hiroki held for Kasane, making her frown as her own situation came to light. She wished someone would look at her like that and not have any other motives.
"Back to the main matter," Hiroki said, "I will train your newest peerage member to the best of my ability, and if it will make him stronger, I'll make a contract with him. Considering the information you just told me, this kid has a Longinus. There are only two that I can think of, the only two actually."
Rias paused, then looked to Issei with stars in her eyes, except they weren't the proud look. It was the greedy look. Hiroki wanted to say something but he chose to not involve himself in Devil politics.
Kasane cleared the air for the other confused members of the Gremory Peerage, "One of the Two Heavenly Dragons. The Welsh Dragon or the Vanishing Dragon. Sekiryuutei and Hakuryuuko, if you prefer their Japanese titles. Mid-tier Longinus…one doubles their power, one divides another's power," She recited this information without pause. Everyone looked at her, "What? Yasaka-san wanted us to be knowledgeable when it came to Sacred Gears…especially the Longinus."
"Never change, Hime," Hiroki said, looking amused at how casually she referred to the Youkai Leader. "Now that that's out of the way. Issei-san, you and I will be training your newly found draconic instincts and powers. Whether or not your dragon chooses to let me, that's on him…but if you create a beneficial relationship with him, he can help you ascend higher. They aren't called 'God-killers' for nothing."
Issei looked at his left arm in a brand new light…
"If you think of using him for your perverse fantasies, I will strongly make you reconsider. If he thinks that he'll be better off with another host…" Hiroki narrowed his eyes, speaking softly.
"No harming my precious servants," Rias chided Hiroki, a small flare of her power made him look at her with his smoldering chaotic glare.
He smirked, "No promises. Now, I assume you wish to see our Sacred Gears?"
"That would be beneficial, yes," Rias agreed. "They were…different than I originally assumed."
"I too, am interested," Kiba said. "I cannot get an exact read on it but they don't feel like typical Sacred Gears."
"You'd be correct, Kiba-san," Kasane said, blinking her red eyes. Her outfit [Eternal Sorrow] flashed on her body. "They are unique in the factor of what they do and the potential they have. They aren't Longinus-class but in the right hands, it could be."
[Endless Candor] replaced Hiroki's outfit and waited. "Nothing like a demonstration. Kasane, if you would?"
She nodded and held her palm out, which glowed in a violet light before the teacup that Rias set down on her desk floated around with each wave of her hand. "Woah…" the reaction was shared amongst the peerage.
"This is something simple. I've had larger objects in hand and thrown distances that would make some Rooks jealous," Kasane said plainly but there was some well-hidden pride and smugness in that statement.
"What about you, Hiroki-senpai?" Issei looked over at him, seeing the loving look he had for her.
"Instead of showing you because it's difficult to actually show," he walked over to the windows and looked back to them, "what's the one thing we all produce, no matter how much we try to avoid it?"
This gained a few confused looks and adorable head tilts—Koneko and Rias—but it was Akeno who got it, "Sounds?"
"Correct," he said, waving his hand lazily. "Try moving forward, Akeno-san."
Curious, she tried to step forward but her foot hit something. Nothing actually. "Oh?"
"Soundwaves that I've hardened to be solid. Invisible attacks so they don't know how to dodge, unless your instincts and hearing can detect it." Rias' eyes were sparkling at this point. "The answer is still no, Rias-senpai. If you dare try to coerce us, I will retaliate appropriately. Sona-Kaichou is also aware of our conditions."
"Mou…" she pouted. "So, that's what Sona meant…"
"As for you Issei-san," Hiroki addressed the resident pervert, ignoring the redhead. He lowered his head and bowed before him, "I apologize for being part of the reason you were killed. It was my shortcoming and lack of foresight that you were killed. I had hoped to bring you into the Supernatural world in a less…horrible manner."
"Woah woah woah! You don't need to apologize, Hiroki-san. I'm thankful that you were thinking of me at all, considering…my reputation. I-I don't regret being reincarnated if it was to save my life…that goes for you too, Kasane-san…is that alright?"
"Fine by me," Kasane said with a shrug as she rose from her bow as well. "Just don't go out of control because I can and will throw you across town if you act out of place."
He gulped and paled, feeling her glare on him, "Message received."
Hiroki turned to face Rias once more, "Now, we have the same goal regarding the Fallen Angels. Our contractor wants them brought back alive, much to my displeasure. So, are you willing to work with us?"
Rias cleared her throat, "I shall have to inform Sona and her Peerage of this. Are you on a time limit?"
Kasane answered, "No, and contacting them is not a problem. Our contractor said to take as much time as needed but we would prefer it if we got this completed sooner rather than later."
"How so?" Koneko asked.
Kasane fidgeted in place, her Sacred Gear fading from her body, replaced by her Kouh uniform. "The contractor has information I wa-need-to know. They promised it after this was over."
"That and getting paid," Hiroki cut in to stop the questioning looks. "What? All this time and effort has to amount to something, right?"
Rias huffed out a breath, "Fair enough. One last question about your Gears though: What makes them unique? Information regarding even the most common Sacred Gears is widespread."
Kasane gave a faint grin. Instead of answering, she left them with a riddle, "How much of your brain do you use, typically?"
There was no offense meant in the statement, only letting them think about it. "Answer us when we all meet up later. For now, Issei-san, let me know when you're available, your training begins after your Master lets you off for that day or if I use the contract."
"H-Hai," he said. "Thank you for this."
A predatory grin answered him, "Don't thank me yet. You'll be cursing me first, because I know I have some work ahead of me."
"Eep!"
No one saw it but Koneko's lips twitched just a bit. The enemy of all women was getting what he deserved.
With nothing else left to say, Hiroki and Kasane left the room. Once they did, they conversed briefly, "Was it the best idea to show them our Sacred Gears? I didn't like the look in Rias-senpai's eyes."
"I know, Hirochi, but it was to garner trust as she is trusting you with her [Pawn]."
"Yeah…all eight though…that kid's going to be a monster," he said. "We should focus on finding out where they are soon."
Kasane smiled at him, "We could…but…I want to have sex. Right now."
Hiroki fumbled in his steps, glancing at his mate with wide eyes, "So blunt…"
"I surely thought that boys were hormonal time bombs? I'm offering myself to you and you haven't moved? I've repressed myself long enough, let's go," she guided him by the hand, giving him a sultry smile over her shoulder, "I know you want me too."
A rumble from his throat, "You're right, you damn tease." He sighed, "One question though."
"Hmm?" she turned to him, letting him encase her in his arms. Here, she felt safe.
Hiroki rested his head in the crook of her neck, "Are we going to the Underworld, to Grigori? Your answers are there."
Kasane sighed, "We will, once this is resolved. Once we call him and tell him the job is done, we will…but is it wrong if I'm scared of the answer? Would I want to know?"
"I think…that I can't answer this one for you," Hiroki finally said after a brief moment of introspection. "I'll only say that you'll have the chance to potentially meet people that remember you from before the orphanage."
Kasane hummed at this, "I will think about it. For now, I want your dick in my pussy. We can stress about this another time."
No sooner than that, they were off to their home, where their bed was put through a rigorous stress test. That night was peaceful, if not loud. Tomorrow, the hard work begins, and it all starts with a wayward sister.
...
Welcome back. I for one, am doing this upload at like midnight. I pray there are not many mistakes and I hope that people are satisfied, I have not been keeping up with the growth of this...
So, cheers, I'll drink to that!
