It's been the day after since Lincoln has arrived in Atlantis, he got to make his future step sisters and step cousin. He wakes up from his bed and sees a bowl of cereal, a glass of orange juice, the same green vial and a note on the dresser. Lincoln walked up to his dresser and picks up the note and reads it.
"Eat your breakfast and then drink the serum. Rita." Lincoln read the note. "Can't Rita just give me the ability to breathe underwater? Oh wait that would raise questions."
Lincoln ate his breakfast and drank his orange juice, after he finished his breakfast, Lincoln then gets changed into his orange swim trunks and picked up the vial.
"Well, down the hatch." Lincoln said before he drunk it. Once Lincoln finished the drink he gagged a bit. "I've never get used to that."
He then ran towards the deck dove into the water and swam down. Lincoln swam down until he sees Atlantis in his sight and swam up to the palace's main gates. Then the gates open up to reveal Rita swimming out.
"Morning Lincoln. Did you enjoyed your breakfast?" Rita asked.
"Yeah, I'm ready for another day in Atlantis." Lincoln said.
"Well, this day should let you have more time with the girls." Rita replied.
"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked.
"I have to leave for an important mermaid queen meeting in another kingdom and I won't be back until the middle of the night. Rita explained.
"Oh, okay. Are any of your servants gonna take care of your daughters?" Lincoln asked.
"Actually, I have someone else in mind." Rita said.
Just then, Lori appeared next to her mother and noticed her future step-brother.
"Oh, Lincoln. I see you showed up." Lori said.
"I did. And your mother told me that she's leaving for the night." Lincoln replied.
"She is. So for the rest of the day, there's going to be a substitute queen for Atlantis." Lori told him.
"Who is it?" Lincoln asked.
"Me." Lori said as she swims in the scene with her hands on her hips. "I'm Queen of Atlantis."
"Oh that's cool." Lincoln said. "We can have some fun."
"Sorry, Lincoln, but fun isn't allowed during my rule." Lori told him.
"Wait, what?" Lincoln asked in confusion.
"Lori, we talked about this." Rita said with her arms crossed. "When you're queen, you need to treat people with kindness and respect. Especially your family."
"Alright alright. I'll treat Lincoln with respect and kindness." Lori said.
"Good. Now I want Atlantis still standing when I get back." Rita said.
"Of course. I won't let any intruders into the kingdom." Lori replied.
"Good. I'm counting on you to help make Lincoln feel more welcomed into our family." Rita said.
"I will mom." Lori said.
"Ok see you tonight." Rita sad as she swam away.
"So, would you like to come inside, Lincoln?" Lori asked
"Sure thing." Lincoln said before they both swam inside.
Lori sat on her mother's throne and placed on a coral crown that was coloured light blue.
"So, you're always allowed to become queen when Rita's away?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes. Since I'm the first born, I'm next in line for the throne. If anything happens to mom," Lori explained. "I have to keep the kingdom in order while she's away. Think of this like practice."
"Ok I'm gonna go hang out with Kenny and his friends." Lincoln said.
"He's inside the castle and no one is leaving this castle while I'm in charge." Lori said.
"Really? But no one is even invading." Lincoln replied.
"Still, I don't want to risk anyone leaving and getting attacked by a shark or getting themselves trapped in Slow-Sand." Lori replied.
"Slow-Sand?" Lincoln repeated.
"It's like quicksand, but a bit more slower." Lori said.
"That sounds really dumb." Lincoln said with a deadpan look on his face.
"Leni fell into there a lot." Lori said.
"As a kid?" Lincoln asked
"No last month." said Lori.
"Man, that does not sound good." Lincoln said.
"Yeah. Lynn's always having to pull her out of it." Lori said. "Anyway, I'll allow you and Kenny to play some board games or do anything else you like doing inside."
"Okay, Lori." Lincoln replied. "What about you?"
"I need to check on my sisters. Hopefully, Luna hasn't snuck out to go to any undersea concerts." Lori said.
Lori then gets off the throne and swims away. "I hope Kenny has some good board games or maybe I can introduce him to some video games." Lincoln thought.
Inside the Sisters' bedroom, the other mermaid princesses were huddled together.
"Okay, does everyone remember the plan?" Lynn asked.
"Yeah Luna distracts her and while she's busy. We get the drop on her and tie her up." Lana said. "Then toss her in another room tied up."
"It's all perfect." Lola said with an evil grin.
"Lori's tierney ends tonight." Luna said.
Just then, everyone heard a knock on their door.
"It's her!" Lana gasped.
"Into positions, girls!" Luan stated.
The sisters all swam towards their beds all acting natural. Leni swam to her bed and wrapped seaweed around her mouth and neck.
Lori opened up the door to see her sisters acting casual.
"Greetings, eldest sister." Lisa said.
"What brings you up here?" Lucy asked.
"Mom is attending business in another kingdom and won't be back by tonight." Lori said.
"So Queen buzzkill's in charge?" Lynn asked with a deadpan tone.
"That's Queen Lori to you, Lynn." Lori replied firmly. "And Lincoln is staying with us, so he's in the castle hanging out with Kenny."
"He better not take Kenny up to the surface again. Imagine Kenny being in an Aquarium?" Lynn said.
"Shut up Lynn." Luna said.
"Anyway, I'm going to head back to the throne room and get mom's daily Royal routines started." Lori told her sisters.
"Sorry, Lori, but that won't be happening." Lynn replied.
"Uh, what do you mean by that?" Lori questioned.
"Well here's the thing." Luan said, "Grab her!"
The mermaid sisters all swam towards Lori and tied her up. While Lisa placed a bracelet on her tail.
Then they threw a tied up Lori in the air pocket room of the kingdom. "What is going on?!" Lori demanded.
"You're reign as substitute queen is officially over!" Lynn announced firmly.
"We're taking back our freedom!" Lana stated, causing the other sisters to cheer in agreement.
"What are you literally talking about?!" Lori demanded.
"Because when you're in charge of Atlantis, you make our lives miserable!" Lola shouted.
"We never do the things we like! We never hangout with our friends! We never get to pick out dinners! And we never even get to leave the bedroom!" Leni said.
"It's all just a sick pleasure to you when you're bossing us around!" Lucy scowled.
"Well today, that's all over!" Luna added.
"You think I enjoy this?!" Lori asked in disbelief. "Unfortunately, I'm the only one who can keep this palace from turning into a pile of rubble when mom's away!"
"Well now you're taking the day off and letting the Queens of fun rule Atlantis." Luna said.
"Once my tail turn into legs I'm gonna break free from these restraints and kick your tails!" Lori said.
"That's a negative." Lisa said. "That bracelet is a charm that prevents you from turning into human form."
"What?! Where did you even get that?!" Lori asked in shock.
"On one of my expeditions." Lisa said with a smirk.
"And you ain't gonna need this anymore!" Lynn stated before she snatched away Lori's crown and smashed it into pieces.
"My crown! I've made that since I was seven!" Lori said as he voice began to crack.
"Enjoy your dry scales peasant!" Leni said as she swam away.
"You're all literally gonna regret this!" Lori called out in anger.
Meanwhile in Kenny's bedroom, which is blue, has a bed with black sheets, and on the nightstand is a picture frame with a lung Kenny and mermaid with long blonde hair, purple seashell bra and purple tail. He's with Lincoln is explaining to Kenny about some video games. "So these Lego video games are fun?" Kenny asked.
"Well some of them. The Lego Avengers and Lego Hobbit games are the weaker Lego games." Lincoln said. "Heck the Lego Hobbit game came out before the 3rd Hobbit movie."
"Did you even see those movies?" Kenny asked.
"No not really." Lincoln said. "But can I ask you something?"
"Sure. What's up?" Kenny asked.
"Rita said she was going to another kingdom for mermaid queen business. Are there other kingdoms?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes there are seven including Atlantis. There's Aztutic in the Gulf of Mexico, Frostjn in the North Arctic Ocean, Geygia in the Indian oceans, Telin in the Caribbean, Hipponea in the Mediterranean and finally in the Pacific the kingdom of Clari."
"So like Seven seas?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah you guy it. Each kingdom has Merfolk, sea monsters and sea people that resembles humans." Kenny explained.
"So does Lynn hates the the sea people that look like humans or is she cool with them?" Lincoln asked.
"Well she's cool with the people of Aztutic." Kenny said. "My uncle Leonidas is from Telin. My cousins' original dad before he died."
"How did he die?" Lincoln asked.
"War with one of the kingdoms. It's a long story." Kenny said. "But Lynn was really devastated when my Uncle Leonidas died."
"Really I thought it was a human that killed him?" Lincoln asked.
"No she and Lola just hate humans because their disgusting and pollute the oceans, all that crap." Kenny said. "No offense."
"None taken." Lincoln said.
Then they hear loud music being played, so they exited Kenny's room to check it out. They exited Kenny's room to check it out and see Luna with a purple electric guitar strumming it at high volume.
"Luna what gives? Lori is gonna kill you!" Kenny said.
"Nah cous. We trapped Lori in one of dry rooms. The rest of the girls and I are the Fun Queens of Atlantis!" Luna said.
"Wait you're telling me the Queen of No is locked up?" Kenny said.
"You got that right." Leni said as she swam towards Kenny and Lincoln and place seashell crowns on their heads.
"So don't be shellfish!" Luan said as she chuckled as she swam away.
"Wow that was a bad joke." Lincoln said.
"Get use to it." Kenny said.
"Let's have some fun!" Luna shouted as she began to rock out. Lincoln shrugged it off and joined the fun.
"Wait how you playing that guitar underwater?" Lincoln asked.
"Same power as electric eels." Luna said.
Lana swan really fast and sat on the throne. "Look at me! I'm the Queen of Atlantis!" Lana shouted.
"Off the throne!" Lola said. "I'm more Royal than you!"
"As if!" Lana shouted. Then the twins began to fight over the throne, but then Lynn swans to the throne and sits down.
"No, I am the Queen of Atlantis!" Lynn shouted.
"Who dares sits on the First ruler's throne?" A creep voice said right before the throne, causing Lynn to yelp and swim away. Lucy pokes her head behind the throne and chuckles.
A few hours have passed as the kids have their fun. Luna, Kenny and Lincoln are rocking out, Luan is pulling pranks on her sisters, cousin and future stepbrother. Leni and Lynn are dancing to Luna's music. Lynn and Lola are keeping their distance from Lincoln, it made Lincoln feel uneasy but he tried to get his mind off of it.
Some time has passed and the kids were still partying and having fun without Lori. Lincoln than looks at his watch and his eyes widened. "Guys! Rita is gonna be home soon, we need to clean this mess and free Lori." Lincoln said.
The princesses and prince stopped partying and looked at Lincoln. "Why? So Lori can tell mom on us?" Lola asked. "Not gonna happen human!"
"Lola!" Luna growled. "But sorry dude, we can't let you free Lori."
"Won't you guys get in trouble?" Lincoln asked.
"It's a risk we're willing to take." Luan said as they kept on partying.
Lincoln swims away and heads towards Lori's prison.
Meanwhile Lori looked at her tail fins and they were beginning to dry up and crack up. "Oh crud. I'm starting to dry up." Lori said.
Then the door opens up to reveal Lincoln, he runs in and unties Lori. Lori takes the charm off of her tail and her mermaid tail turned into legs. And instead of her seashell bra, it has been replace with a light blue tank top, brown cargo shorts and blue shoes.
"Thanks Lincoln." Lori said. "I'm gonna turn my sisters into mermaid pretzels."
"You can do that later. Rita is gonna be here soon." Lincoln said.
But Lori was more focus on her damaged crown as she picked up the pieces as tears formed down her face. "I failed as a princess and a Queen." Lori said.
"Lori?" Lincoln asked as he walked towards Lori.
"My dad made this crown when I was around Lucy's age. "He always told me that would make a great Queen one day. This crown was the only thing I had left of him." Lori said.
"Lori, I know how you feel. My mom had brain cancer, but she was supportive of some my hobbies like Ace Savy and magic tricks. My dad didn't mind my hobbies, but wed don't have any common ground at times. Doing magic tricks brought joy to her life before she died." Lincoln said.
"I guess we do something that we miss about our parents." Lori said. "But come on we need to fix the castle before mom gets home."
Back in the throne room Kenny and his cousins are partying and dancing. Then Lori swims up to Luna and grabs her guitar causing everyone to stop dancing. "How did Lori break free?" Leni asked.
"I think I know who." Lynn said. "It's the human."
The sisters and Kenny all glared at Lincoln, which resulted in Lincoln nervously chuckling. "Look before you guys kill Lincoln. I want you to clean this throne room up right now." Lori said.
"No way!" Lana said.
"Not gonna happen!" Lola replied.
"I'm not listening to the Queen of No." Lynn said.
"Look I get it, I know I can get a bit overboard with me being Queen for a day. But I only do this to show mom that I can be a great Queen one day and keep Atlantis standing." Lori explained. "I promise I will treat you all with respect and kindness like how a true ruler."
Kenny and the rest of the girls look at each other and nodded. "Ok we'll get this place cleaned up." Kenny said.
"Good, Luna give us some cleaning music." Lori said as she hands Luna her guitar.
"Sure thing Queen Sis." Luna said and played some rock music while her sisters, Lincoln and Kenny were cleaning up the throne room. Then they moved Luna's amps into the music room, while Kenny cleaned the throne.
The throne room is cleaned and spotless right when Rita enters the throne room where she sees her daughters, nephew and Lincoln. "Were you kids waiting for me?" Rita asked.
"No, I was just making sure everyone was here. All ten tails and a pair of legs." Lori said
"Perfect. You kids are dismissed. Lori I want to speak to you." Rita said as the princesses, Kenny and Lincoln swan away. "Did anything happen when I was away?" Rita asked.
"No not at all. Lincoln hung out with Kenny and my sisters just stayed in their room." Lori said.
"Did Leni fall in slow sand?" Rita asked.
"Nope not at all." Lori replied.
"Where's your crown?" Rita asked.
"Lynn broke it. Don't worry I had her clean the throne room." Lori said.
"A reasonable punishment. But I spoke to the King Arturo of Aztutic, during our meeting the meeting of the seven kingdoms. We both think you and his son Prince Bobby are a perfect match. But the marriage isn't arranged yet." Rita explained.
"You want me to get along with Prince Bobby? I think we can handle that." Lori said.
"But we plan on doing this after my wedding." Rita said. "I can't focus on running a kingdom, planning my wedding and arranging your future marriage. But don't tell your sisters about it."
"Ok, I won't let you down mom." Lori said as she swan away.
"She's gonna be a great Queen." Rita said.
Lori enters her bedroom as she sees the rest of her sisters huddled. "What are you girls doing?" Lori asked as she swan towards the huddle.
The girls faced Lori and she gasped, in Luan's hands is her light blue coral crown fully repaired. "My crown." Lori said.
"Yeah, we fixed it. It's our way to say we're sorry." Lynn said.
"We know you're gonna be a great Queen sis. But maybe you can loosen up a bit?" Luna said.
"Sure I can be responsible and have some fun." Lori said as she placed her crown on her head. "Why did you fix it?"
"We know how much that crown meant to you, since dad gave it to you." Lynn said. "So we fixed it."
"Thanks girls." Lori said as looked in a hand mirror and admired the fixed crown.
