again

Long after night falls, and a coverlet of stars blankets the earth below, Genjo Sanzo can leave his room to steal silently into another's.

He is welcomed by one perfectly arched brow, not raised in surprise that that the monk came, but in surprise that the monk came again.

When dawn brings the dim lights of the early sun after a long night of fighting for dominance, he untangles himself from the grasp of the loser and from soaking sheets, and stands, and the man on the bed smiles, and then quietly says, "You really shouldn't be doing this to Goku."

And Sanzo shivers at the heat in the low voice, and retorts bitingly, "Nor you to Hakkai." His tone is as ice – cold, sharp and unfeeling – as he pulls on his robes and stalks out of the room.
