"You!" The man pointed to Abby with a fierce look in his eyes.

"You killed my son!" He said putting the gun to her head as the rest of the ER crew gasped. Abby closed her eyes waiting to be shot.

"Sir..." Abby squeaked. "There was nothing we could do. It..." She trailed off looking from person to person. "It..." She tried again.

"It..." She heard a voice pipe up from somewhere within the crowd. "..was me."

The woman looked at Abby and they locked eyes.

"No. I'll be fine." Abby mouthed.

The woman looked away and into the eyes of the man. He looked over his shoulder to two other men.

"Her." He said pointing to the woman.

"What?" They both asked him.

"Her! Take her!" He said becoming outraged. He took Abby's arms and helped her up.

"I don't need YOU anymore." He whispered in her ear. Abby's eyes were filling with tears as she watched her friend's arms being grabbed, the woman not even struggling against them.

"As for YOU..." He said pointing to the woman with the gun."You're coming with me!"

The whole ER shuddered and tried to follow them out the door but the guards held them back.

"Don't give him a reason to shoot!" The guards told them.

"You can't let them just leave!" Pratt was yelling.

"Don't worry. We'll call the police." One said calmly.

"By then they could be across the city!" Pratt continued.

"Come on Pratt..." Carter said pulling Pratt away from the guards.

Susan sat in a corner comforting Abby.

"How could she do that?" Abby asked through her tears.

"She's not the same person we met last year for sure." Susan thought out loud. "But I know one thing." She smiled. Abby looked up at her.

"She's going to be okay."
