Optimus and the others soon arrived back at the base, having found out they had been on a wild goose chase this time. The other Autobots and kids greeted the four warmly, even if they brought back nothing, which Vector Prime had told the others it was a false lead. All knew you often had to turn over many stones before you found what you were looking for. Lancex, glad for a chance to leave his robot/ship, soon slid out of the cockpit and landed on the floor amongst the bots and kids. "I never said I always left the cockpit gracefully" he said, making the others laugh, including Overhaul.
"Is there anywhere we could find information around here, like a museum?" Lancex asked once the laughter died down. He was hoping it could help them out.
"We know of a nearby museum. We could take you there" Coby said to which Lancex nodded. "They are closed right now, but they open tomorrow morning."
"Tomorrow then" Lancex replied and soon headed off after Overhaul and Hotshot agreed to take all the humans to the museum. No one thankfully noticed that Lancex had slightly blushed when Overhaul said he would go. Optimus then said it was getting late and sent the kids home with Hotshot.
Overhaul, seeing he was one of a few bots left, called out change mode and reverted to his human size. Now in this size, being the same size as Lancex, made Overhaul feel even more smitten with the young human. "Lancex can stay with me, I have a spare room" Overhaul stated, slightly surprising the others but before they could say anything, Overhaul led Lancex away from the room and towards the sleeping quarters. Optimus just shrugged as Overhaul rarely made sense at times and he was known more for his bolts than his brains so to speak.
But Overhaul didn't care what they thought. He led Lancex back to the bed that Lancex had slept in the night before. Lancex, being tired, just shucked his clothes until he was down to his red underwear. Overhaul felt his spark leap at seeing the fine specimen in front of him. Being too tired, Lancex didn't even ask the bot to leave and just went to bed. Overhaul, being drawn to the young man and also feeling tired, crawled into bed with Lancex and snuggled up. Though sleeping, Lancex seemed to place a possessive arm over the bot. Overhaul was amazed and soon feel asleep snuggled up to the warm young man. Boy would Lancex be stunned we he woke the next morning.
