The wolf cracked his knuckles and smiled toothily. The two canids circled the area, waiting for a good moment to strike. "So, why are you here, little foxy?" Ellie kept her stance and waited for an opening in his opponents defences. "You weren't here before, so tell me, is it the police hehe, or maybe it's the fact that a lot of money is going to the winner?"

The whole crowd started to chant Bonesaw's name loudly and enthusiastically, seemingly encouraging the wolf but not affecting the vixen that was fighting against him.

Ellie shook her head then charged at Bonesaw. She waited for the swing then slid under his swing, ending up behind him. She then stamped on the back of his knee. The wolf dropped to the ground then swung his body around, hitting the vixen back away from him. She crashed against the ground and rolled a bit further away. She punched the ground with a huff, blowing the sand away from her muzzle. She picked herself up just quick enough to not be pinned to the ground and have the fight be finished too quickly. The wolf stomped next to her face, causing her to be slightly in shock, and then growled when he realised he missed. He tried swinging again and again at the vixen, missing every time as she kept evading every attack. The claws got increasingly closer and closer, causing Ellie to get more and more desperate and spontaneous.

Ellie hit the wall of the arena all of a sudden. She bounced off of it and noticed that Bonesaw was preparing to lunge for her. His claw fired off like a missile towards her, where she then slid to her right. The claw struck the wall and got lodged inside of it. She then leaned back and threw a mean right hook to try and knock him out. As she landed the punch, the wolf pulled his claw out. He twisted his head with the punch then turned his head back with a deep snarl. "That was a good punch, but your luck is about to run out." Ellie blinked a couple times and then launched herself at his chest, pushing herself off of him afterwards to create some distance between the two.

"I'm not here to kill you, I just want to win. You have to understand."

"I have a standard to uphold. You must understand."

"I completely understand." She sighed, keeping her guard up to avoid being hit suddenly. The two stopped talking and re-engaged into the fight they were in before.

The two charged at each other, preparing to strike at their respective opponent.

At the VIP stand.

Finnick watched carefully, hoping and praying silently that nothing would happen to the vixen currently fighting down there. The courier watched, sighing. "It's obvious who's gonna win, it's just a matter of time."

"What do you mean?" Finnick responded, unsure of what he meant.

"Well, it's clear, 'Popper' is the better fighter. The only issue is that, well, if Bonesaw gets lucky, she would most likely lose." Finnick was shocked at how well The Courier analysed what was happening. "What? After watchin' y'all fight for so long. I know what's going on."

"That's a good point."

"Ugh, I might as well ask, what do ya wanna talk about mate?"

"Simple, remember what I said before?" The kangaroo nodded

He then chuckled a bit. "Whatever happens, don't join 'em."

"Mmm." Finnick confirmed. "It's funny because I'm sent ta get ya ta join." The kangaroo chuckled again. "On one paw, you could ignore the request and well keep it a lot easier for the rest of us. On the other paw, you could say yes, and avoid any war in this area." He sighed after the comparison. "You choose, and well, you see how good we are."

The kangaroo shrugged. "So, help Outback Island or the whole of Zootopia? I feel the choice is obvious." He looked back at the fight going on beneath him. "We'd have no chance against whole groups of those." He smirked. "Especially since I know you two are good killers. Good job with the Lionheart, by the way."

Finnick froze for a second. "How did you know about that?"

"I ain't as dumb as a bag o' rocks, ya know. But, I want ta say this. I'm sayin' no, but they will not have ta worry about us intervenin', we don't give two fucks about the mainland. They can have it and we won't do shit. Can ya do that mate?"

"Yeah, I can. Don't die mysteriously in the meantime."

"Don't worry about me, I know what I'm doin'. Remember, if ya need somethin' I pro'ly have it, for the right price of course."

"Of course." The two turned back to the fight that was happening below them.

5 minutes earlier, In the arena.

They both collided into each other, throwing a strong punch into their opponents. They both flinched, and tried to wear off the pain with the adrenaline pumping through their blood. "Who are you?" The wolf asked curiously. He was starting to get worried that the fight was still going on. "How are you still fighting?"

"Well, I'm just a good fighter." Ellie smiled. "That's all I am." She knew she didn't want to give away anymore details as it could make the situation a bit more problematic. She decided what the best form of attack would be. The wolf seemed more angry, yet more defensive. He locked his body up and covered his chest and chin with his arms. He assumed an orthodox boxing stance. 'Right pawed.' Ellie thought, hoping she could use that to her advantage. She waited for a punch and then slipped it to her left. As she hoped, the wolf threw his right paw, giving her the opportunity to strike him from behind. She threw a quick one two in his hip. This caused him to swing around swiftly with his claws. The claws struck her in this chest. Blood dripped from his claws and her chest. She gripped her wound and started to breathe heavily.

"Lucky hit." She commented in retaliation. She grunted from the pain and decided to keep fighting, she wasn't going to yield now. She taken a few steps back and prepared a counteroffensive. She kept her eyes on the opposing wolf. He snarled and then stood up tall to try and intimidate her. He struggled to move his hip a bit after the recent attacks he had succumb to but fought through the pain. "It won't be that easy next time." Ellie added afterwards. She positioned her injured part in front and left her stronger paw behind her.

"Yield, and you may still live."

"I won't yield, I have no use of doing so. I still have a chance of winning."

"You are delusional. I don't know if I admire or discourage such behaviour."

"Overconfidence makes you careless." She finally retorted as she lunged forward, swinging her rear paw and hitting the wolf's paw. As she did that, she twisted around to deliver a roundhouse kick, hitting the now crouched wolf right in the chin. He twisted around from the force, and was hurt from the strike. He faced away, spitting out blood onto the ground. He then generated a deep growl from his chest and then it filled the arena.

There was then a lot of gasps and wide eye looks from the stands. No-one expected anyone to do this to the Bonesaw.

He flipped back around and had bloodshot eyes. He did not take his eyes off of his target. Ellie returned the gesture and refused to back down just yet. She remained in her stance and watched her opponent lose himself in his rage. Bonesaw then charged into the fox. As he was close enough, he then decided to try and spear the fox onto the ground to pummel her into the ground. She elegantly danced around the attack and then kicked him in the back, forcing him to the ground. "You are starting to be slow and sloppy, what happened to the confident wolf that might've won?" She asked mockingly. Bonesaw was then trying to get up but as he was getting up, Ellie stomped on his back, forcing him back to the ground. She then extracted her claws and jammed it in his back. "Stay down and then yield."

He felt the claws digging deeper and deeper into his shoulder. He finally ground then he slammed the ground. "I YIELD. YOU WIN." He declared unhappily. Ellie let go and then got off of him. The two stood up straight and shook each other's paw. "You gave a great battle."

Ellie was surprised by this action. "You were good as well. I heard you are usually the best in this competition. I'm not surprised to hear that after this fight."

In the stands, everyone was surprised. No-one expected the mighty to have fallen so much. That was when the announcer spoke up. "That was an astounding fight. Unbelievable. The champion was bested. Who knows how far this new addition could go." Everyone then started to cheer for the vixen.

Due to this, Bonesaw then grabbed Ellie's wrist and lifted it up for the crowd to see her. "Now don't fuck this up now. Win this for what you want." Ellie nodded.

"Can I ask, who are you? You don't seem to be from here."

"I'm a no-one. I just fight for the crowd at this point. It gives me purpose." Bonesaw retorted solemnly. He then spat out some more blood onto the sand beneath them. "Now, I'd say go rest yourself. It will hurt more in a second. Oh and since you asked, I think it is only fair I ask as well, who are you?"

"Just call me 'Popper'."

"Popper? Shit. You serious? I fought a hitmammal." He then started to laugh.

"You know who I am?"

"Well, I know enough about the world to know who you are." He smiled weakly. "How will the courier help you?"

"That's unimportant." She responded. Then she groaned as she felt a sharp sting in her shoulder and arm and chest.

In the VIP stand

Finnick started to bite his claws as he saw that Ellie was hurt. "You shouldn't worry, adrenaline is a hell of a drug and the body loves to produce it in events like this. If she is worth her salt then she won't be affected too much, especially considering the stance she keeps using."

"What about after, that arm will be practically useless. She will be with no chance to win. Okay, I may have exaggerated but she may have a possibility of dying. How could I not worry?"

The two then noticed that 'Popper' won the match as Bonesaw declared his surrender.

The courier chuckled. "She could yield now, and all would be fine. You already got what you wanted, hell you could tell 'er now and she could just leave and get treated." Then he laughed in his head. "Or, most of her opponents could yield out of fear."

The changing rooms.

Ellie sat down on the bench that was in the middle. She focused herself. Then Tessa saw her and approached. "Wow, that was incredible. Ya beat the livin' daylights outta him." She smiled proudly and in awe. Then she realised about the wounds. "I'll help ya with those. We need a strong new champion for a while." She then ran to the back of the room hastily.

Ellie rested for a second. That was when she heard a knock on the door. She walked over to it, holding her pistol cautiously. She pulled the door open and saw Finnick. "I have good news."

"Really? What?"

"You don't need to win anymore, hell you can leave now and it will be fine."

"What do you mean?"

"Me and the Courier had a bet he went for Bonesaw and I obviously went for you. By the way, are you fine?"

"Not really, but I can't fix this now, can I?"

"I may know a few things to help." Finnick said reassuringly.

Ellie smiled then swung the door open completely. She then turned around and shouted across the room. "Hey, Tessa, my associate is here. Don't worry about him."

She came running back with a first aid kit. Finnick looked at it. "Hey, that's cool, as long as he is here to help."

"Pass the kit over." He demanded. Tessa complied. He snapped the box open and grabbed some hydrogen peroxide. "We will need to see the wound bare." He stated calmly.

"This isn't an opportunity to just check out my body, is it?" Finnick rolled his eyes, then he blushed slightly.

"Lay down, and you," He looked at Tessa, "Hold her still." She nodded then held her down. "This will be quite painful, with how deep this wound is." Ellie nodded. Finnick poured the Hydrogen Peroxide calmly and equally over the entire wounded area. She flinched and shifted as best as she could, but it was futile. The tasmanian devil held her down entirely. She yelled in response to the pain. Given that the liquid had to set to clean the wounds, Finnick checked when her next fight would be. "Long enough." He looked back at the first aid kit.

Tessa looked at the fennec. "What now?"

"I'll jab some morphine in. Then I'll stitch her up."

Ellie raised her head. "You know what your doing right?"

"I had to learn this before. Other team, remember?" Ellie nodded awkwardly. "You'll be fine."

"She'll be able to fight later, right?"

"That's what the adrenal shot is for." The two females nodded. That was when Finnick jabbed the morphine in. Ellie instantly felt a bit woozy. She started seeing blurry figures before her and started to get tired. Finnick gave it a few seconds then prepared the thread and needle. He then carefully pushed the needle through both sides of the wounds and tried to close them up. The stitches proceeded to tighten up as Finnick pulled on it. Then he made a knot at the end and let the thread go. "Let her rest for a second." He finally commented to Tessa, who nodded in compliance.

"So, you two..."

"We work together. That's all." Finnick quickly spat out. "That's all." He repeated slightly quieter afterwards.

"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhhhhht. So why did ya give her the idea to quit? Ya don't trust her? If you two work tagetha wouldn't you not care if she dies, mate?"

"We did what we needed to do. There is no point to continue."

"Ya s-spoke to the courier already? How?"

"Easy, I know the guy." He sighed. "Met him before, and we made a few bets. Was the first to win a bet against him pretty sure." He chuckled to himself. "The courier wasn't happy about that."

"Of course he wasn't, I thought he never lost a bet before."

"Pssshh, he was easy to fool. You just need to know what to look for." Tessa shook her head. Finnick grabbed the medkit again. "We need to pick her up and put these on." He held up some bandages. Tessa nodded. She gently lifted the vixen up and kept her upright. Finnick then gently applied the bandages, unrolling it slowly enough to not strain the injuries but quickly enough for it to be effective and not loose. He examined the injuries one last time and sighed, before covering it up with the white clothes he was using.

"Do you think she can win?" Tessa asked curiously.

"Yeah, she definitely can." Finnick responded. "She is good enough, just that injury might wear her down." He smiled weakly. "She could lose because of that."

"So, ya think she could die?"

"I hope she doesn't." Finnick responded openly and slightly quietly.

"She can rest, I'll know what to do next."

"Adrenal shot just before she's goin' yeah?" Tessa nodded. "Good, I'll be going back now." Finnick headed for the door.

"So, how did you two meet?"

"What's it to you?" Finnick snapped back under his breath. Tessa froze for a second unsure how to respond to that. "Why do you wanna know?"

"I-I'm just curious, mate."

"Aren't you supposed to be fighting?"

"Well, I'm not here to fuck spiders but that don't mean I can't figure out how ta pass the time."

"My history is one I won't discuss." Finnick finished, closing the door behind him.

"So, I s'pose that now you will need this." Tessa held the shot in her paw impatiently, waiting for anything to happen. She looked around the room, wondering what was happening now.

20 minutes later.

Ellie started to stir. She moaned and grumbled, spinning around restlessly. She then picked herself up. "Ow, my shoulder!" Tessa quickly turned towards her. "Ugh, I'm fucking-" She spewed all over the floor next to her. "Sorry, I'm just a bit dizzy." She coughed a bit after that. "Quite dizzy."

"Yeah, you're lucky, you're up after the next match. You'll need this for it though." She hands over the adrenaline shot to the vixen.

"Hell of a painkiller, huh?" She laughed, cradling her shoulder. "So, he did this?"

"Yeah, stitched it up and everything, I don't know how he knows any of it but there we are."

"Nice, it should hold." she commented while patting her shoulder. She was still a bit hazy but it would be fine. "Give me the shot."

"He said explicitly just before you go to fight."

"How sweet, give it." He retorted weakly. "Listen, I would like to regain my bearings before I start fighting, not when." She then smiled as best as she could. She slowly picked herself up when she saw that Tessa was shaking her head. When she was about to stand upright, she lunged for it. "Cease resisting, it is pointless." The two struggled needlessly for the syringe held in the Tasmanian devil's paw. "I will get it eventually." Ellie groaned.

After a few seconds of trying, she gave up since she couldn't handle carrying on like that. She sat back down and covered her injured shoulder. "So now what?"

"Now you wait to use the shot. 'Associates' orders." Tessa responded. Ellie grumbled. "I'm sorry, it's just if he said tha-"

"Why do you care about what he said? He isn't here."

"He stitched you up and bandaged you, I think he knows what he is talking about!" Tessa shouted back, trying to defend her decision. She then stood up and walked away. Tessa looked into the metal sheen of one of the empty lockers and sighed. "Why do you make this so much harder than it has to be?"

"I just need the adrenaline shot now, that's it." Ellie said softly. She then laid back on the bench. "I get it, he knows better, I guess." She placed her right paw on her forehead, only because it hurt too much to move her left at this point. "The painkiller is wearing off now."

"Good, you'll be more awa- wait, already?"

"Yeah, I don't know why but painkillers are usually weak against me." She groaned, gripping her shoulder tightly now. "But that adrenaline would be nice at this point."

"So, were you lying?"

"No, I'm not. Okay, do you have I don't know some coffee grains or some sugar?"

Tessa turned around curious now. "Why would you want them?"

"To wake me up." She sighed. "I thought it was quite obvious."

"You said coffee grains though."

"Yeah, I can take the taste at this point, and it acts quicker that way." Tessa looked at fox confused now.

The screen then lit up. Fighter number 2 called to the arena. Tessa noticed that and quickly questioned it. "But wasn't there meant to be one more fight? What happened? What the fuck?"

A/N:So, the matches were moved around without anyone knowing. Why? Find out next time, whenever I decide to sit down and write 3 chapters. But right now, I think I have a good pattern for these.

Anyways, sorry I didn't write anything for a while, if you read my other story, you would know, I had a lot of technical difficulties.

With all that said and done, I'd like to say thanks for sticking with this and reading it. I'd bid you farewell and good luck.
