Chapter 1: The Road Ahead

"I know this is going to sound weird... but one day, my whole world changed. You see, cards started dropping from the sky, coming down like rain. At first we didn't know where they were all coming from, or who sent them.

We only knew they were more than just ordinary playing cards. And it was happening all over the world. In the North... in the South... they landed everywhere. Together with my new online friends from around the world, we invented a wicked new game we called... Bakugan.

That's when the power of the cards was revealed, each one held its own battling beast, which came to life when you threw it down. The Battles were intense, and if you chose the wrong card, you would lose it and the beast inside. But that's only half the story, another even bigger battle was taking place in a parallel universe called... Vestroia.

My name is Lincoln, and together with my friends Dan, Runo, Marucho, Julie, Mr. Hotshot himself, Shun, and Alice. We are... the Bakugan Battle Brawlers!

It was a beautiful afternoon in the small town of Royal Woods and everyone was enjoying such a wonderful day except for one Lincoln Loud, who was sitting on the front steps of the house in his pajamas, waiting for his family to return from Lynn's softball game.

"I really hope Lynn wins that stupid game of hers - I'm getting tired of being treated like this." muttered Lincoln with a sigh as he stared at the clear blue sky above him, thinking over what he had been through over the past week. In hindsight, the whole 'claiming to be bad luck' idea was a bad one from the start.

It all started at breakfast a week ago when Lynn tried to convince Leni not to bring him to her fashion show, believing him to be bad luck. It was at that point that he had come up with the idea that put him in his current situation - if he could convince the others that he was bad luck as well, maybe he could finally get the alone time he long sought after.

Things had started off so well at first - he didn't have to go to any of his sisters' events, he finally got to read his comics alone in peace and even got the house to himself on several occasions. Then things started to go wrong after being forced to stay home while his family went to the theater to go see a movie.

At least Leni made good on her promise to tell him how the plot of the movie went.

Not too long after that, things started to get worse - he was banned from being in the same room as everyone else, barred from sleeping in his own room and forced to stay outside like an animal. Even the pets wanted nothing to do with him, believing him to be bad luck as well.

Eventually, he had even resorted to coming clean with the truth. However, this didn't work as the rest of his family dismissed him, thinking that he was coming up with an excuse so he could get back into the house. To rub further salt into the metaphorical wound, they were planning on taking a trip to the beach later after Lynn's softball game without him.

Desperate to bring this mess to a close so he could come along with them as well, he had come up with the plan of posing as the team's mascot during the game and prove to his family that he wasn't bad luck once it was over, but eventually decided against the idea.

After all, if Lynn happened to lose the game, he would end up catching flak from everyone else once they found out he had been there as well, possibly making his current situation worse. He couldn't take that chance.

So here he was - sitting on the front porch in his pajamas, waiting for his family to get back from the baseball park, with a Darkus Bakugan Ball next to him. Inwardly, he hoped that if Lynn's team managed to win the championship she's after, things would start returning back to normal and he'd be able to sleep in his room once more.

"All we can do now is wait." The Bakugan said, opening up to reveal something that resembled a dragon, with its yellow eyes looking up at Lincoln's. "Hopefully things haven't gone too badly."

"I hope you're right, Leonidas."

Royal Woods Baseball Park

"And that's the game, folks - the Hazeltuck Lions bring home the championship with a score of 3-0! Better luck next time, Squirrels!"

As the Lions started to celebrate with their newly obtained championship trophy, Lynn continued to seethe in anger following the end of the game, her knuckles gradually turning white from how tightly she was gripping her bat, desiring to use it on the blue-clad team as they continued to enjoy their victory.

The entire game had gone horribly for her team ever since it started - Margo accidentally flinging herself into the umpire after missing the ball, her teammates constantly colliding with each other while out on the field and even having her clothing literally knocked off of her by the ball when it hit her.

Even doing her usual good luck rituals didn't work, leading to her striking out during the bottom of the ninth inning and costing her team the game.

"Come on, Lynn - let it go. We'll win the championship next year." said Margo as she placed a hand on her friend's shoulder, hoping to calm her down. Instead, it seemed to have the opposite effect as Lynn swatted it away in anger.

"Let it go? Let it go!? How can I let something like this go? We lost the game and the championship on top of that!" snapped the angry brunette, causing Margo, as well as the rest of her team, to back away at the sudden outburst in surprise.

"There must've been some reason why we lost so badly, but what? I know we got plenty of practice in and I even did my good luck rituals right..." mused Lynn as she tried to come up with an excuse - any excuse - on why her team lost.

"Maybe it just wasn't our lucky day, Lynn." replied Margo, causing Lynn's eyes to widen in realization. Luck.

If that had been the reason her team had lost, then there was only one conclusion she could come to that made sense to her: Lincoln. He must have snuck into the park somehow and jinxed her. That was the only possible explanation - her team wouldn't have lost otherwise.

'Lincoln, that little jinx...it's not enough that his bad luck caused me to lose the game, but now he cost me the championship too? I'll make him pay for this!' thought Lynn as she gnashed her teeth in anger before stomping off, still clutching the bat tightly while her teammates watched on with concern…

Lincoln was still moping as the day continued. However, it was when Marucho, a wealthy, generous and smart boy who specializes in Aquos Bakugan, passed by the house, with a Chameleon type Bakugan, named Preyas, on his shoulder. Marucho then saw Lincoln sitting on the front steps, looking quite miserable.

"Lincoln, is that you?" Marucho called. Lincoln perked up upon seeing his friend.

"Hey Marucho, hey Preyas," Lincoln greeted, as Marucho approached.

"What are you doing outside? Did you forget your keys?" Preyas joked, trying to help lift his friend's mood, but to no avail.

"No. My family locked me outside of the house and has banned me from entering," Lincoln replied.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Marucho exclaimed, his normally good mood turning uncharacteristically sour, "Why would they do something like that?!"

"Well, it started a few days ago. After going to several of his sister's activities, I wanted just one day off. However, Lynn insisted that he'd come to her softball game. She even threatened him with her bat. So he did go, but the game ended in a loss. He went to go commend her for her efforts, saying that she'll get a win next time, and do you know what she did? She actually accused HIM of ruining her game, proclaiming that he was bad luck. That's when he got one of the dumbest ideas he ever had: he figured if everyone thought he was bad luck, then he could have plenty of free time to himself. And it worked, albeit a little too well. They soon began to bar him from stuff he would've liked to be a part of, like going to the movies," Leonidas explained.

"Wow, talk about paranoid!" Preyas exclaimed.

"Well, did your parents try to stop this whole mess?" Marucho asked. Much to his shock, Lincoln shook his head.

"No. They bought into the lie as well, except Lisa, who was the only one on my side. I guess they believe the word of the many over the word of the few," Lincoln replied.

"I see. And what about telling the truth? Did you try that?" Marucho asked.

"I did, but they immediately dismissed it, thinking I was trying to make an excuse to come back inside." Lincoln replied. Marucho looked like he was trying to take in all of this information. Just then, Vanzilla pulled into the driveway, and almost immediately, Lynn leaped out, her bat in hand, and charged at Lincoln, swinging at the white haired boy.

"Whoa, what are you doing?!" Lincoln exclaimed, dodging each swing.

"SHUT UP, YOU STUPID JINX! YOU RUINED MY CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! SO SIT STILL, AND TAKE YOUR LUMPS LIKE A MAN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!" Lynn screamed, taking another swing at her brother, who continued to dodge. From inside Van-zilla, the rest of the family looked on, worried expressions on their faces.

"Maybe we should try to stop this before it gets any worse," Lori suggested.

"Good call," Rita replied, as they got out of the van, and proceeded to try and restrain Lynn, who continued to try and smash Lincoln's head in.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Lynn! I wasn't even at your stupid game!" Lincoln argued.

"LIAR! I lost the championship! I wouldn't have lost unless you were actually there!" Lynn snapped, swinging again.

"Really?! It never occurred to you that maybe the other team had a plan set in place to beat you? Or that your no bathroom rule was hindering your teammate's progress? Or that you're all luck and no skill? Face the facts Lynn; You're acting like nothing shy of a sore loser!" Lincoln ranted. Lynn then screamed with even more rage, as she lunged at Lincoln, who continued to dodge, "Oh man, now she's really mad!" he commented, sensing that things had just gotten worse.

Lynn had him cornered, as she went to take another swing, when the rest of his sisters quickly moved in and restrained the angry brunette, pinning her to the ground as she snarled "Get off of me! I'm gonna kill him! Nobody calls me a sore loser and gets away with it!"

With a commanding tone of voice, Lynn Sr. orders "Girls, hurry up and get your sister inside - pronto!", causing the seven sisters to nod before dragging their screaming sibling into the house with a concerned Rita following after them seconds later.

Once they were inside, he turns to Lincoln and says "Sorry sport, but with how your sister's behaving, it may be best for you to stay out here," Lynn Sr. said.

"As much as I disapprove of your father's decision, he does have a point. Just try to bear with it a little longer, Lincoln. I'll get things squared away, and hopefully have you back inside this house where you belong," Marucho said, as the door was closed in front of Lincoln. Once again, Lincoln begrudgingly slumped down on the front porch, with Leonidas looking at him in concern.

"Humans these days… No offense." He said.

"None taken."

Loud House, Living Room

Lynn had more or less calmed down, but was still ticked off at her brother. But that wasn't her main concern right now. Marucho had all of Lincoln's family in the living room on the couch, "Now, what's this I hear about you all locking Lincoln out on purpose?" he asked, his tone indicating that he wanted a suitable answer.

"It's because he ruined my softball game against the Lions, which was the first game he had attended all season. Until then, we were dominating the league, until Stinkcoln decided to ruin it with his bad luck!" Lynn Jr. explained.

"And after that, bad things just continued to happen whenever Lincoln was around, so we figured that locking him out was the best course of action," Lori added.

"I see. Well, then, if that's your answer, then I can say this without a bit of guilt: WHAT WERE YOU ALL THINKING?!" he yelled, causing everyone in the room to flinch, "There's no such thing as luck, good or bad! It's just an excuse that people use when things go right or wrong!" Marucho declared.

"But he still ruined my game! And as revenge, he had to have jinxed my championship game too!" Lynn Jr. argued.

"Please, Lynn. Whether or not Lincoln was at your game today would not have changed the outcome," Lisa stated.

"And you, Lisa. Why did you, the smartest person in this family, go along with this whole mess?!" Marucho scolded.

"Believe me, Marucho, I tried to help Lincoln in his cause, but nobody seemed to believe me," Lisa said, disappointed that she couldn't help her only brother.

"Because Stinkcoln didn't lie, and he IS bad luck! Therefore, as punishment for ruining my championship game, I vote in favor of sending him to live with Great Aunt Ruth! Maybe rubbing those disgusting feet of hers and eating moldy pudding will teach him not to ruin our activities, especially MY sports games!" Lynn declared.

"Maybe it would be best to send Lincoln away. After all, we don't know what more trouble his bad luck could bring to this house," Lynn Sr. stated, worrying about his family's well being.

"Mr. Loud, did you not hear what we said?! All this bad luck hoo-ha is nothing more than just superstitious nonsense!" Marucho yelled.

"Sorry Marucho, but if his sisters say he's bad luck, then it has to be true," Lynn Sr. stated, remaining an anchored ship to his beliefs. Once again, Marucho facepalmed.

"I literally see no problem with sending that twerp away. The less I have to worry about my dates with Bobby getting ruined, the better," Lori said nonchalantly. One by one, each of the Loud Sisters voiced their approval for Lynn's suggestion. Marucho could tell he wasn't going to get through to them anytime soon, until he thought of something. A sly look worked his way onto his face.

"Well, if I can't stop you from making more of a big deal out of this ridiculous mess, then maybe I can convince you of sending him somewhere else?" he suggested. Lynn Jr. was quick to reject.

"No way! Stinkcoln ruined my game, so he has to be punished thoroughly! I want him to suffer the same way he made me suffer!" she declared.

"Whoa, that's way harsh, dude," Luna commented.

"Now hold on. Let's hear Marucho out on this," Rita suggested.

"I have an old buddy I met back at a science convention last year. He lives on an island just off the coast of Japan. I was thinking he could take in Lincoln," Marucho explained.

"What does your buddy do, exactly?" Rita asked, suddenly sounding unsure about sending her son away.

"He's a researcher who studies the wildlife in that particular region. My thoughts were that Lincoln could help him out with his research," Marucho explained.

"You mean like zoology?" Lana asked.

"In a way, yes. The animals that Lincoln will be encountering will not be the typical dogs, cats or birds that you're all used to," Marucho replied.

Before anyone else could raise any further questions, Lynn Sr. points at the stairs and says "Girls, this meeting is over - you can go ahead and return back to your rooms now."

While Lola, Leni and Lori easily complied with the order, the others reluctantly started making their way to the stairway, though they had given Marucho one last suspicious glance before heading upstairs.

"Okay, so what's this all about?" Rita asked.

"Well, if I can't convince you that this bad luck garbage is all just a bunch of baloney, then I might as well play along with you. Think of it this way, if Lincoln's all the way across the world, then Lynn Jr. has absolutely no excuse to blame him for anything, whether it be bad luck or something that's actually sensible." Marucho stated.

"Okay, but who exactly is this researcher friend of yours?" Lynn Sr. asked.

"He goes by the name Samuel Oak. He's a trusted friend of mine. We've stayed in touch ever since we met. We can do a video call with him, but I want Lincoln to meet him as well," Marucho said, his tone indicating he wasn't going to argue. Rita then went over to the front door, and opened it.

"Lincoln, sweetie? Can you come in? We have something we need to discuss with you," Rita requested.

"Finally, sanity prevails!" Lincoln exclaimed, as he entered the house for the first time in days, "So, have you managed to get it through to Lynn that bad luck isn't real?" he asked.

"I'm afraid she was too stubborn to accept that Lincoln. But, I was able to reach an agreement with your family," Marucho replied. Lincoln then looked up at his friend, perplexed.

"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked.

"First, before we begin, let me ask you something? How would you feel about going on a sort of vacation?" Marucho asked.

"A vacation? Where to?" Lincoln asked.

"Well, here's the thing; I have a friend over in a small region just off the coast of Japan. What I was proposing to your family was having you go there to have a little... zoological expedition," Marucho explained.

"Over in Japan? That seems awfully far," Lincoln commented.

"I know it is, but that's where you get a sort of a win-win. Not only will this provide a chance for Junior to come to terms with the fact that bad luck doesn't exist, but you may end up finding your own special talent, just like your sisters, other than Bakugan of course." Marucho explained. Lincoln took a moment to mull this over. If he were all the way on the other end of the world, then Lynn wouldn't have any excuse to blame him for anything going wrong. Not to mention, having some kind of talent that would get him a legitimate trophy in the trophy case didn't sound too bad either.

"Well, in that case, I'm in," Lincoln replied.

"Great! But before anything else, we're going to do a video call with my friend," Marucho said, as Lynn Sr. finished setting things up on the computer, "Now, I'll just punch in his phone number," Marucho said, as he punched in the number, and hit dial. A few seconds passed before the other end picked up, showing the back of an old man in a lab coat.

"Ah, Marucho, so good to hear from you again. To what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" the old man asked.

"Uh, Samuel? You've got the wrong camera again," Marucho chuckled. The old man then looked behind him, before fiddling with the controls at the computer he was at.

"Oh, this always happens!" Professor Oak grumbled, as the screen turned to static, before his face was displayed on the screen, "Sorry about that. Now then, what's up?" the professor asked.

"I understand that some of the kids from Pallet Town that you're sponsoring are going to be heading out in a few days, yes?" Marucho asked.

"Indeed. Of course, I do have one more slot open for another candidate," Professor Oak replied.

"Well, then I may have a potential candidate here that you might be interested in," Marucho said, as he brought Lincoln into sight, "This is my friend, Lincoln Loud, and he has shown an interest in becoming a Pokemon Trainer, and his parents, Rita and Lynn Loud Sr. Lincoln, this is Professor Samuel Oak, the researcher friend I told you about," Marucho explained.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Lincoln," Professor Oak said.

"Likewise, Professor," Lincoln replied.

"Uh, is there something we're missing here? What in the world is a 'Pokemon'?" Lynn Sr. asked.

"Well, I'll give a brief explanation. You see, in certain parts of the world lives an innumerable amount of fantastic creatures known as 'Pokemon'. They inhabit forests, fields, mountains, lakes, rivers, oceans, and even take up residence in sprawling cities. For some, Pokemon are treated as friends and family, but they can be more than just pets. Pokemon Trainers, which is what Lincoln has voiced his interest in becoming, compete against one another in Pokemon Battles for honor and glory," Professor Oak explained, as he held up a red and white ball, before tossing it up, releasing what appeared to be a living rock creature with arms, "This Pokemon, Geodude, is just one example of the many different species you'll encounter and battle," he explained.

"Wait, so these trainers actually have these Pokemon things fight one another? I'm not too sure how I feel about that," Rita commented.

'Heh. If she witnessed a Bakugan Battle, she would freak out!' Leonidas thought to himself, hiding in Lincoln's pocket.

"Perfectly understandable, but you needn't worry. There are plenty of rules in place to keep things from going too far. Besides, battling is how Pokemon become stronger," Professor Oak explained. Rita still seemed unsure, but it was Lincoln who asked the next question.

"So, what exactly does a Pokemon Trainer do?" he asked.

"Well, they can catch Pokemon to help bolster their teams, and they go around and battle other trainers. Of course, there is a large-scale tournament held once a year that trainers are able to enter called the 'Pokemon League', but in order to participate, trainers must accumulate a minimum number of badges from various gyms scattered throughout the region. In the case of Kanto, where I live, trainers must collect a total of 8 gym badges to qualify," Professor Oak explained.

"I see," Lincoln replied.

"That being said, there are other activities that trainers may participate in, such as Pokemon Contests, where trainers show off their Pokemon in as flashy a way as possible, and the Pokeathelon, which is a big sports event for trainers," Professor Oak added.

"Ok, I think I get the picture," Lincoln replied.

"Though before you can be given a trainer's license, it is recommended that you attend at least one semester of Pokemon School to learn the basics," Professor Oak added.

"Are these semesters the same length as regular schools, or...?" Lincoln asked. Professor Oak chuckled.

"Not to worry. I can get you into a course that can help you learn the basics quickly and easily," Professor Oak replied.

"So, will you let Lincoln try out?" Marucho asked.

"I see no reason why he can't. I would be more than happy to sponsor him. So, when and where shall I pick him up?" Professor Oak asked.

"How about 10 AM at the Detroit Airport? We can give you a ride on my family's private jet." Marucho suggested.

"That sounds reasonable. I'll see you then," Professor Oak said, as he hung up.

"Alright, we got a lot of things to do before tomorrow. We'll have to get some clothes for Lincoln to wear while he's in Kanto, as well as plenty of camping gear," Marucho said.

"Oh, we'll have to get that stuff from the garage. We moved everything out of Lincoln's bedroom when we sealed it up," Lynn Sr. stated. He and Rita were met with scowls from both Marucho and Lincoln.

"I expect ALL of my stuff to be back in my room EXACTLY how it was before you decided to seal it off," Lincoln stated coldly, causing his parents to flinch.

"I'll be taking Lincoln to meet with Professor Oak in the morning. That will give you and the girls plenty of time to put his room back the way you found it," Marucho stated, once again, causing both Loud Parents to flinch, "Lincoln, I'll call my parents to come pick us up. I'll bring your clothes when we're done collecting them," he ordered. Lincoln did so, and exited the Loud House, followed closely by the adults, who made their way over to the garage. Opening it, Marucho immediately saw some boxes labeled "To be donated." Much to his disappointment, both Rita and Lynn Sr. went over to them, "I can't believe this... You two were actually going to donate all of Lincoln's stuff without his consent?!" Marucho yelled, while still trying to keep his voice down.

"Well, the girls suggested that we do it, since they said they have no need for any of Lincoln's belongings," Lynn Sr. replied. Marucho pinched the bridge of his nose, before noticing a distinct lack of furniture.

"And what of Lincoln's furniture?" Marucho asked, bracing himself for another idiotic response.

"Junior convinced us to sell it, since it was tainted with Lincoln's bad luck," Rita replied.

"Once we're done here, bring me the money you got from the sale," Marucho ordered.

"Yes," Rita replied. She knew when one of Lincoln's friends spoke like that, it was best not to argue with them.

"And after you unseal his room, you are to purchase new furniture for him, and leave his room unsealed," Marucho added.

"Well, I suppose there goes our trip to the beach," Lynn Sr. commented, as they got the last of Lincoln's clothes that he would need.

"Personally, I don't think you or your daughters deserve to go to the beach after this inexcusable way you've treated one of your own," Marucho stated, grabbing all of Lincoln's Bakugan Balls and Cards. 'Never know if there will be a Brawler in Kanto.'

Rita then returned with a stack of cash, which Marucho then confiscated as he collected the clothes, and took them to the limo that pulled up next to the house.

"Where'd you get that cash, Marucho?" Lincoln asked, seeing the wad of cash.

"Marucho convinced your family to give you a little spending cash while you're in Kanto. This is just to start you off," Preyas replied, as he came out when they entered the car and drove off. As they watched Marucho's car disappear from view, both Rita and Lynn Sr. couldn't help but think that they had made a tremendous mistake in being a part of this whole mess.

"Marucho said we have to go and buy some new furniture for Lincoln's bedroom, and that it's to go unsealed until he gets back," Lynn Sr. said.

"Okay," Rita solemnly replied, as they went back into the house.

Later that night, at Marucho's place

Lincoln was more than grateful for finally having a roof over his head, being able to take a hot shower, actually being able to enjoy a nice meal like a human being, and finally sleeping in a warm bed after several days of being forced to sleep outside like an animal. While he was in bed, he couldn't help but think about his new adventure in the 'Kanto' place, 'What's it going to be like?' Lincoln wondered, as he finally fell asleep.

Lincoln found himself standing on a winner's podium in the middle of what appeared to be some kind of sports arena, holding a large, golden trophy, in front of a large crowd of people, including his friends and family. By his side were six creatures he had never seen before.

The first was a small, yellow mouse with a lightning bolt shaped tail and red cheeks.

The second was an orange, winged dragon with a flame at the tip of its tail.

The third looked like a large, blue sea serpent.

The fourth was another, feminine looking creature. Its blue "hair", or what Lincoln was assuming was hair, formed a curl around its head. It had red eyes, an orange spike in it's chest, and an elegant looking dress.

The fifth was a shadowy creature with piercing red eyes and a malicious grin.

The sixth was another dragon, but it was yellow with green stripes, and looked something like a dragonfly. Lincoln also noticed that it had red domes over both its eyes.

Lincoln looked all around him, before a flash of golden light shone down on him. Above him, there was another creature. Lincoln could easily describe it as a white reindeer, with something like a golden gate around its midsection.

"You are worthy," the creature said, as a brilliant, blinding light shone all around Lincoln, causing him to shield his eyes.

Lincoln's eyes shot open, "Whoa, talk about a crazy dream," he commented as he looked at the desk/drawer and smiled as he saw his Bakugan partner Leonidas in ball form resting on a small pillow. "Alright Leonidas, time to get up." Lincoln told his partner as he stood up from bed and stretched a bit causing some cracking sounds in his joints.

"Uuuugh, morning already?" Leonidas grunted in a sleepy tone as he popped out of his ball and looked up at Lincoln. "Can't we have five more minutes?"

"Leo, if we sleep longer then we're gonna be late meeting up with Professor Oak." Lincoln informed his Darkus partner as he started to get dressed in his day clothes. "Don't wanna miss out, do we?"

"…No." Leonidas admitted as he turned away from the Loud boy. "Very well then, let us get ready."

"That's the spirit." Lincoln said as he grabbed Leonidas and put him on his shoulder. "Come on, let's go."

Once he was done getting ready, he exited the room that Marucho's family had let him use, and saw both him and his parent's enjoying a nice breakfast.

"Good morning, Lincoln. I trust you slept well?" Kia (Marucho's Mother) asked, as she plated Lincoln some pancakes.

"Indeed I did. Though the dream I had was a bit peculiar," Lincoln replied.

"How so?" Shuuko (Marucho's Father) asked.

"Well, I was in the middle of some kind of arena, holding a large trophy, and there were these six creatures by my side," Lincoln replied.

"Hmm, could be a premonition of things to come during your trip through Kanto," Shuuko guessed.

"I think it's wonderful that you're going to be on something like a safari," Kia commented.

"Yeah. After everything that's happened over the past few days, I think I deserve some time away from them," Lincoln replied, bitterly thinking about his family.

"Well, try not to dwell on it too much. You're starting a new adventure as of today, so you've got nothing to worry about," Marucho said, as the three of them continued their breakfast.

Once they were done, Shuuko looked at the time, and saw it was getting close to time, "Well Lincoln, we'd best be on our way over to the airport," he said before they left for the Detroit Airport.

Meanwhile, at the Loud House,

The sister's were all lazing about the house, while their parents went to run a quick errand. The sisters, while watching their favorite shows, had looks on their faces that indicated they weren't in the best of moods. The only exception was Lynn, who was elated about the events that transpired.

"I don't get why any of you are so upset. Lincoln and his bad luck are finally out of our hair! We're free from both!" Lynn said, not caring about her brother's well being at all.

"Even so, I don't feel right about agreeing to send him out of the country," Luna replied.

"Yeah, we don't even know about this researcher friend of Marucho's," Luan added.

"Look, even if you guys were right to be worried about that good for nothing jinx, which you shouldn't be, it's too late for us to do anything about it. Besides, we have a day at the beach ahead of us, so get over it, and stop worrying about Stinkcoln," Lynn demanded.

"Lucy, you were in the vents last night. Did you happen to hear anything about this place they're sending Lincoln?" Lana asked.

"I didn't hear much, but just enough to give me the impression that this trip might benefit Lincoln more than his absence benefits us," Lucy replied.

"Well, give us details!" Lola demanded.

"Well, I know that the researcher that Lincoln's being sent to live with goes by name 'Samuel Oak', and that he researches some kind of creatures by the name of 'Pokemon' if I recall correctly," Lucy explained.

"Ok, I'm stopping this conversation, right here and now! I don't care what Lincoln does, as long as it's far away from us!" Lynn declared. Just then, they saw Vanzilla pull into the driveway. In minutes, both parents walked in.

"Hey Mom, hey Dad, got what you needed done?" Leni asked.

"Yeah. Girls, we have something we need to say," Lynn Sr. said, getting the attention of all his daughters, "At the urging of Lincoln's friend, we have decided to unseal Lincoln's bedroom, and move all of his things back inside," he declared.

"But Dad, there could still be bad luck lingering in there! Are we really going to risk OUR safety for that jinx of a brother of ours?" Lynn Jr. asked, only to receive harsh glares from both parents.

"At this point, we no longer care if there is any bad luck inside that room, or if there was any to begin with, our decision to unseal his room is final! And if any of you so much as tries to reseal his door, you will be grounded until your brother comes home! Do I make myself clear?" Rita asked. It was clear from her tone that she was not going to negotiate.

"Yes, Mom," the nine sisters replied.

"Good. Now then, half of you will work on unsealing the door, while the other half helps us bring in some furniture we bought to replace the stuff we sold," Lynn Sr. ordered.

"Well, at least after this, we can go to the beach, right?" Lynn Jr. asked. To her surprise, both parents shook their heads, "WHAT?!"

"We had to spend everything we had between us in order to replace the furniture," Lynn Sr. replied.

"But what about the money we got from selling his furniture in the first place? That was like, what, $300 dollars?" Lola asked.

"Marucho made us to give him the money we got from selling his furniture. More than likely, he's planning to give it to Lincoln, seeing as it was HIS furniture that we sold," Rita replied. The Loud sisters all began to raise their protests.

"WHAT?! WHY DOES HE GET ALL THAT MONEY?!"

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!"

"WE DESERVE IT MORE THAN HE DOES!"

"ENOUGH!" Rita yelled, silencing her daughters, "We gave him the money from the sale to use as he sees fit, and that's something that can't be undone! And by now, Lincoln's probably already on his way to Kanto, so there's nothing we can do. Now, get to work on the tasks your father gave you, NOW!" Rita ordered. The sisters, not wanting to be on the receiving end of any more of their Mother's anger, quickly dispersed to take care of the tasks they were given.

Lincoln was sitting on a bench, while Marucho was holding up a sign that said "PROFESSOR SAMUEL OAK" on it, "He should be here by now," The Aquos Brawler commented, as he continued to hold up the sign. Lincoln was about to suggest something, when...

"Hello!" the voice of Professor Oak called out, as both Lincoln and Marucho's family saw him walking towards them. He was carrying a fairly large package in one hand.

"Hey there, Samuel! It's been forever!" Marucho greeted, shaking hands with the professor.

"Likewise Marucho. I must say, the flight over here from Kanto was a bit longer than I was expecting, even with your family jet's help," Professor Oak replied.

"Well, what are you going to do?" Marucho asked, as he beckoned Lincoln to come over, "Anyhow, here's my friend, Lincoln Loud. Lincoln, meet Professor Samuel Oak," Marucho said, introducing the two.

"It's quite nice to meet you, Lincoln," Professor Oak greeted.

"Likewise, Professor," Lincoln replied. Professor Oak then noticed something was off.

"By the way, where are your parents?" he asked. Lincoln's expression turned sour.

"I guess they couldn't be bothered to come see me off," Lincoln bitterly replied. Professor Oak could easily sense something was off.

"I see. Well then, could I possibly ask you to take this to his parents?" Professor Oak asked, giving a package to Kia.

"Um, sure." Kia said.

"Oh! That reminds me!" Marucho said, pulling out the wad of cash, "Could you have this turned into some spending cash when Lincoln's ready to begin his adventure?" he asked.

"Of course. You can count on me," Professor Oak replied, before turning back to Lincoln, "So, are you all ready to depart?" he asked.

"Huh? All of us?" Lincoln said, confused.

"Hey guys, wait up!"

Lincoln gasped and turned around, seeing Dan and Runo running up to them, also carrying bags.

Dan wore a short red overcoat with black pockets over a bright yellow sleeveless. He had brown hair in which he wore hexagonal shaped goggles, and he had red eyes. He wore long red trousers with black stripes just below his knees, the ends of which were neatly tucked into his blue-tongued black sneakers. He kept his Bakugan Gear on his belt. Lastly, he wore blue fingerless gloves. The left glove was longer and he wore an orange BakuPod on his left wrist.

Runo wore a yellow midriff shirt and a white skirt with a pink belt. She had maroon wrist gloves that were fingerless. She also had orange and white striped knee socks and brown shoes. Her hair was tied in two growing ponytails and her eyes were green.

"What are you guys doing here?" Lincoln asked, surprised.

"I invited them." Professor Oak said, making Lincoln turn to him and shock. "Marucho called again last night, asking if your friends could travel with you.

"I figure, you need a bit of home to go with you." Marucho said.

"Yeah, you thought we were gonna let you go only? Fat chance!" Dan exclaimed. "We're the Bakugan Battle Brawlers! We stick together no matter what!"

Lincoln didn't know what to say. At first he thought that he would be traveling the Kanto region by himself, but now his fellow Brawlers were going to be with him every step of the way. "Thanks guys." He said, with a tear of joy running down his cheek.

"I'll call you as soon as we land," Marucho said to his parent's, sharing one last embrace, before the Brawlers followed the professor through the airport.

"Well, now that he's in good hands, it's time for us to deliver this," Kia said, grabbing the package, as the parents left the airport.

Once everyone was seated inside the plane and the door had been closed, Marucho said "We're all ready for takeoff whenever you are!" to the pilot, which was Marucho's butler, Kato, who gave him a thumbs-up in return before starting up the engine.

As the plane took off into the air, Lincoln stared out the window, spotting what looked like his house in the distance. After watching the house for a few seconds, he sighs before forcing himself to look away from the sight.

Author's Note:

This is a combination of both Bakugan Loud Brawlers by Ninjamon1228 and Pokemon Loud Version - Kanto by SilverNugget. Been wanting to do this for a while now, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
