This is going to be my second fanfic, but I'll probably be more focused on my other fanfic so this one will upload slower. Feel free to leave reviews on how I can make this fanfic better! Hope you will enjoy. Nothing in this fanfic belongs to me except the self insert. Leave a like and follow please! Thank you.
This is a story about a fifteen year old boy, going by the name of Franklin. He was originally born and raised in the states, but moved to Japan for the education. He was deemed quirkless as a kid (like a certain little green hair kid) but he didn't care. He knew they were wrong, but wanted to keep it a secret, even from his own parents. The reason being was he was aware that people would try to use him, especially villains, for his 'quirk', he could summon anything on his command. All he had to do was think of something and snap his fingers for it to appear. His characteristics are he has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and about hight for his age. He was very quiet and liked to keep to himself most of the times, but once you got to know him, he was a chatty little bugger. He wanted to be a hero, but not the usual ones, he believed that you should kill some of the more dangerous villains. The only bad parts to his power was he would get hungry if he used too much of his power, and he couldn't summon real people. He never knew why, it was confusing to him, he could summon anything he could imagine, being living or non-living, to even fictional characters. Just not existing People... but getting back to his abilities, whenever he summoned something, it would always see them as their god or whatever they worshipped. His personal favorite things to summon was warhammer 40k stuff, mainly orks as they were fun. (I might add more stuff to his description later on). Now, let the story begin...
Franklin pov:
He was going around shopping, mainly for junk food, and looked around at everything. He would've just summoned food but it would be counterproductive as he would lose as much calories as much as gain it. So the reason why he was buying things instead of using his quirk, and he also never made money as he knew it would be illegal and the authorities would find out about him. So he used the money he earned from both his parents and the part time job he had working at a local market of sorts. He could read, speak, and understand the native Japanese language quite well considering how his parents forced him to learn it before they moved here to Japan. He took in the smell of the various pastries in the shop he was currently in, the smell of freshly baked goods filling his nostrils. He grabbed a box of various chocolates and brought them up to the cashier. (I'm just going to use dollars as I do not know what a box of chocolate would cost in their native currency).
"That would be 5.38" the cashier said as they scanned it.
Franklin nodded and pulled out his wallet and gave her a five and a one. He got the change back and shoved both change and wallet in his pocket. The cashier made a devilish smirk as she gave him the box of chocolates.
"So...who's the lucky one~?" She teased the poor little boy.
"It's uh...it's for my mom's birthday" he lied, too ashamed to say it's for himself.
"Aw, thinking of your mom. What a good kid" the cashier girl said.
He nodded and waved goodbye and walked out, ready to head back home. He walked back home that was a little ways away. He crossed over a small hill, his home being in the other side of it, he enjoyed this hill, it provided a great view when the sun was setting. He looked around at the grassy fields and took in the fresh air. As he looked at the view, he could see his house, except...it was ablaze in fire. He dropped his chocolates and ran full speed towards his house. As he ran, he pulled out his phone and dialed Japan's emergency number and told them the address and what the situation was. But as he did, he saw two hooded figures run away from the house. Realization hit him, arsonists had set his house on fire. He paid no mind to the though as he burst through the door, immediately welcomed by the smoke of the fire, burning his lungs as he coughed. He looked all around, trying to locate his parents but to no avail, soon, the smoke was too much as he was deprived of oxygen and fainted. He slowly blinked out of consciousness l, seeing the shapes of firemen walk over and pick him up and out of his house.
"My...parents..."he weakly said before blacking out.
Minutes later:
He woke back up coughing his lungs out, trying to clear them of smoke. He looked around and saw various vehicles. He then looked at the still burning house, looking more like a pile of burnt wood now. He also saw the fireman hero putting out some of the fires. But as he looked at his surroundings, he saw two blankets covering something...his heart sank as he knew it was the bodies of his parents. Then an paramedic guy came over and saw he was awake.
"Hey sir, are you alright? Do you have any trouble breathing or numbness in your limbs?" He asked and Franklin responded with a shake of his head.
The paramedic then started to do some check ups to make sure there was now severe injuries on the kid. The boy couldn't help but look down, tears dripping down his face as he knew his parents were dead. He just didn't want to believe it, it was too much for him to handle.
An hour or so later, the fire was put out and now Franklin was getting questioned by the officers of what he knew about the event. He told them the story of what happened and about the hooded people who ran away from the scene.
"Did your parents have any people who might've wanted to intend harm to you or your parents?" The officer asked.
"No, we just moved here to Japan a few months ago from the states. I don't think they had any people who disliked them, they were nice people in my opinion. They always helped others when they needed it. I just..." he explained.
"It's ok kid...there's no need to explain more" the officer said to try and keep the kid from thinking about his dead parents.
With that they began a search around the area for any clues or evidence on the supposed arsonists. But in the end they came out empty and had to close the case until further details were found. Franklin was then moved to an orphanage, but it wasn't long before he was adopted. His new parent was none other than the no. 5 pro hero...Mirko, or her real name as Rumi as she told him. He got in the car with her and stayed silent as they drove to whatever living area a top hero lived. As they pulled up to it, he saw it was a good sized house. He was genuinely pleased, but didn't show it as he was still a bit upset about the death of his parents. She got out of the car, Franklin doing the same as he followed her inside. He looked around at the furniture and the decorations.
"Well, this is my home. But I guess I gotta change it to our home" Rumi said.
The only response was silence from the kid.
"Hmm, so Franklin...I heard your from the states" she said, trying to get a conversation going.
All Franklin did was nod in response. He then sat of the couch and stared into nothingness, reliving the same memories of the fire. This made Rumi a bit uneasy.
"So...is there anything you like to do? I hear teens your age like watching All Might stuff." She said, trying to lift the tension off the room.
He just shrugged in response. Rumi too this as a yes and out on to All Might shows for him. She was relieved that he started watching it instead of just starring into space.
"Well...I'm gonna make some dinner for us while you watch TV. And guessing how you don't really answer much, I bet you won't care much for what I make." She said as she walked into the kitchen.
After a few minutes, she came out with two bowls and set them on the table and put some ramen in them.
"Franklin, diner's done" she called out.
She heard silence except for the footsteps of the kid coming to the table. He sat down and took his bowl when she offered it to him. He started eating it after Rumi sat down and started eating. After a bit, he looked up at her.
"What made you want to adopt me...?" He asked.
Rumi was a bit taken aback by this but responded.
"You just seemed like a good kid. And good kids deserve a second chance at being happy again." She said after she swallowed her food.
"I see...but aren't you a bit young to think about adopting kids...your still in your 20s right...?" He asked.
This once again caught her off guard. She then answered that she wanted a kid but just didn't want to go through the process of making one.
"I see" he said before continuing his meal.
'Damn, why does this kid ask so many straight forward questions so much?' She asked in her mind.
A few months later, he was in school doing his class work as the teacher was announcing who enlisted for the hero school U.A. He wasn't interested until he heard his name in the list. He looked up to confirm it was him and was a bit taken aback that it was in there. He then remembered Rumi, she probably did this. She probably thought this would help him to try and forget about his past. He didn't really mind though, it could be a great opportunity for him. But then he remembered his file said he was quirkless, but so was the kid with green hair. But then the inevitable happened, the blond boy that went by the name 'bakugo' got enraged and started yelling at the kid with green hair. After he looked at Franklin with the same fury. He could care less for his tantrums and continued his work, ignoring the name calling and yelling coming from the time bomb. Later that day, he was walking from school to Rumi's place but a man got in his way. He looked up, un-caring as the man brought out a knife.
"Give me your money and personal belongings before I cut ya you got it?" The man threatened.
He only stared at the man as he reached in his pocket on brought out a pistol, slightly hidden except to the man.
"Try and you'll end up with lead in that thick head of yours" he threatened back.
The man got scared and backed away and the boy walked past as if nothing happened. He un-summoned the pistol and continued his walk home. As he got back home, he was greeted by Rumi, he waved at her in silence and walked to his room. There he sat at a desk and continued his drawing of a humanoid being, made of mostly metal except for part of the face. (Just think of a tech priest from WH40k). He finished coloring it as Rumi entered the room.
"What cha doing? Hope you ain't doing something you're not supposed to" she teased even though she knew he wasn't into that stuff.
In response the boy grunted and set the pencil down and looked at her. She peaked at the picture and saw it.
"Hey, sweat drawing you got there" she complimented.
She was surprised at the details in it. Although she didn't know what it was, she still thought it was pretty cool. She the. Left him to be and closed the door. It was all according to plan to Franklin as he summoned miniature figures who moved on their own. He summoned humans from the imperium of man and tyranids on the other side and watched as they fought each other. He enjoyed watching battles, he'd always thing the losing side was the villains that he most hated. Thank the gods their battles weren't loud enough for Rumi to hear surprisingly.
Months have passed and surprisingly, he was excepted into the U.A school. He had to set through a boring speech and a blue haired kid being disruptive. He cared less for anything, now he was worried as he had to fight robots, damn that Mirko for getting him in this mess. This would mean he had to reveal his quirk to not only the spectators, but possibly the whole world. He really didn't want to disappoint Rumi, he knew she'd beat his ass if he didn't at least try. He didn't have a choice now, he had to use it to pass the test. At this point he could care less now, everyone is bound to find out about his quirk. The gates opened as he found himself charged along side 'Deku' as everyone called him and Bakugo. He decided to summon a las pistol and shot the first robot he saw, the red energy melted right through the metal of the robot. He continued to shoot robots that moved, but also being careful not to hurt others. Soon, he found himself surrounded by robots, he decided to increase his numbers of Allies by summoning 4 imperial fists space marines.
"Purge the heretical robots!" He yelled.
They complied by shooting the robots around them and even charged them with their various melee weapons.
Rumi pov:
She watched in surprise at seeing her adopted son get a laser gun out of nowhere and blasted through the thick armor of the robots with ease. But then she saw him get surrounded. Her jaw only dropped when she saw him snap his fingers and four yellow armored robots appear out of nowhere. She saw as the they shot through the horde of robots with ease, even getting out chainsaw swords, war hammers, and glowing blue swords and used them against the robots. But then it came, the zero point robot, towering over buildings and it looked down at Franklin. But then if her jaw could drop more, the kid snapped his fingers again as another giant robot appeared. It was like a hunched over turtle standing on two legs (think of a battle titan from WH40k). It had a giant chainsaw on one arm and a giant Gatling gun on the other. It looked at the other robot and blew a loud war horn that hurt her ears. It then shot at the zero pointer and charged towards it. The zero point robot tried to shoot at it with its own weapons, but the bullets and rockets seemed to hit a force field of sorts. The battle titan then swung its huge chainsaw arm at the zero pointer and easily cut it in half.
"What...the...hell was that?!" Mirko yelled.
She looked over towards her fellow heroes who were just as shocked if not more shocked. They continued to watch as the battle titan, the space marines, and Franklin continued to battle the robots. After the whole thing was over, she marched down to where all the students were. They were all cheering, pleased with all the points they got.
"FRANKLIN!?" She yelled.
Then Franklin came over, still with his emotionless face, accompanied by the four yellow robots behind him.
"What the hell was that?! I thought you said you were quirkless" She demanded.
"I'm sorry, but I had reasons for concealing my quirk, you see, I thought that if I were to openly use it, villains would try to capture me and use me as a weapon." He replied almost unfazed at Rumi's yelling.
This made her calm down a bit. She knew that after seeing that, why he would hide it. The sighed and put a hand in his shoulder.
"I get it. I'm sorry I flipped out on you Franklin. I was just surprised was all" she apologized. "but I don't think the other pro hero's would care for your excuses. So be prepared to answer questions, and no lying."
He nodded and looked down, dreading the idea of being asked question after question.

I will be doing more than just warhammer, so don'tworry. Leave a review and come back for more! Have a great night/day. And I do apologize for any miss info or lore errors as it's been a while since I watched the MHA anime, even if it was just a little bit of it, and also other stuff I'll be implementing soon.
