Hi, my fellow fans! So I've been watching Codename: Kids Next Door and the movie Operation Z.E.R.O. and I came up with this amazing new story. I've been thinking about the Delightful Children and their former selves as members of Sector Z. I thought it was totally unfair that they didn't get a happy ending, so I made this story which is about my OC using some dark magic to free them once and for all. Enjoy!
In the magical kingdom of Lycanthropia, a young sea monster was swimming in the large swimming pool in the backyard. She was having a lot of fun in the water, diving underwater and jumping on the surface. Then, a young purple wolf girl came outside with some drinks.
"How's the pool, Nikki?" She asked. "It's nice and cool, NightStar." Nikita said. "I brought some lemonade." NightStar said.
Nikita climbed out the pool and dried herself with her towel, turning back into her humanoid form. She and NightStar sat down and drank some lemonade together. Nikita took out her phone and started watching one of her favorite cartoons from her youth.
"What are you watching?" NightStar asked. "Just one of my favorite shows as a kid: Codename: Kids Next Door." Nikita said. "Sounds like a pretty great show." NightStar said. "It sure is." Nikita said.
The two girls watched a few episodes of the show on Nikita's phone together. Some of the episodes she focused on involved the Delightful Children from Down The Lane.
"You must really like those characters." NightStar said. "Not really. I mean...It's not that I don't hate them. I just prefer their previous selves rather than their current selves." Nikita said.
NightStar understood exactly what her friend was talking about: She liked the Delightful Children as their former selves: Sector Z.
"You mean when they were once Sector Z? One of the good guys, like us?" NightStar asked. "Yup. I prefer their heroic selves rather than their villainous selves." Nikita said. "Well, I can certainly understand why." NightStar said.
She was told everything by her friend: Nikita told her everything about the Delightful Children, their past, and how they became who they are today. Nikita also told her about her mission to save them from Father and themselves.
"I'm still determined to save Sector Z no matter what the cost." She said. "Nikki, how are we going to free five kids from the grasp of a major villain?" NightStar asked. "I don't know. But I promised myself that I'd find a way to restore them back to their former selves." Nikita said.
She didn't know how yet, but she was determined to do whatever she can to bring Sector Z back. She decided to go visit Sector V at their base of operations in their treehouse.
"I'm going to go see Sector V and see what they're up to." Nikita said. "Alright. Let me know if you've found a way to save Sector Z." NightStar said.
Nikita got dressed into her clothes and opened a portal to the KND world. Once there, she flew straight towards Sector V's treehouse located right on top of Numbuh 1's house.
"Looks like Sector V's coming back from a mission." She said to herself.
She spotted a flying vehicle coming towards the treehouse. Nikita immediately knew that it was one of Sector V's vehicles since she has flown inside a bunch of them before.
"I hope Numbuh 1 will have some time to talk." She said.
Meanwhile, inside the treehouse in the meeting room, Sector V was celebrating a job well done on another successful mission. They were cheering with joy as they had done another huge favor for all the children of the world. Now it was time to take a break for a while until their next mission.
"Great job, team. We've managed to stop Mr. Fibb and Mr. Wink from getting children banned from beaches around the world." Numbuh 1 said. "Don't know about y'all, but Numbuh 5's gonna get some much needed rest." Numbuh 5 said.
As the rest of the team left the room, Nikita walked up to Numbuh 1 to have a chat with him.
"Nikki? I didn't see you come in." He said. "Well, you know...I just wanted to talk to you alone." Nikita said. "Alright then. So what do you want to talk about?" Numbuh 1 asked. "It's about Sector Z." Nikita said.
This came as a surprise to Numbuh 1: he hasn't been thinking about them since the incident with Grandfather. He was surprised that Nikita wanted to talk to him about the former KND members.
"What about Sector Z?" Numbuh 1 asked. "Have you told the others about them yet?" Nikita asked. "Not yet. I'm still waiting for the right time." Numbuh 1 said. "Still? It's been long enough. They have a right to know the truth about them." Nikita said. "I know. But they might not be able to handle it like you and I have." Numbuh 1 said.
Nikita couldn't believe her eyes: Numbuh 1 still hasn't told the rest of his team or the other KND about Sector Z's fate. She believes that the entire organization has the right to know the truth of the fate of the missing team.
"You know that the others should know the truth about what happened to them, right?" She asked. "I know, but not now." Numbuh 1 said.
He knew Nikita was right: the rest of the KND had the right to know the truth about the Delightful Children. But he couldn't just tell them straight right now. He wanted to wait for the right moment to tell them first so they could handle it slowly.
"So, have you thought of a way to purge the Delightful Children of their delightfulization yet?" Nikita asked. "Well...I haven't exactly been focusing on that right now." Numbuh 1 said.
This was a huge shock to Nikita: she thought that Numbuh 1 was going to work on a way to free Sector Z from their delightfulization.
"What do you mean by that? I thought that you were going to be searching for a way to free them by now?" She asked. "Sorry. It's just that I've been focusing my time on the team and our missions." Numbuh 1 said. "Oh! So saving Sector Z isn't important to you, is it?" Nikita said smugly.
Numbuh 1 has never seen Nikita like this before. He knew that she had a temper, but he never thought she would act this way toward him.
"I do care about Sector Z. But you heard what my dad, Numbuh 0, said: The delightfulization process on them is permanent. There's absolutely no way to restore them permanently." He said. "You're wrong! There's a way to free them, I know it!" Nikita shouted.
Numbuh 1 was taken aback by Nikita's rage. He knew how determined she was to save Sector Z. He knew that she wasn't going to give up on them just yet.
"Nikki. Even if we found a way to purge their delightfulization permanently, how are we going to use it on them?" Numbuh 1 asked. "I don't know. But I'm going to find a way. I mean it." Nikita said.
As the two continued talking, they didn't notice Numbuh 5 spying on them.
"I don't know how yet, but I will find a way to bring Sector Z back for good. No matter what, I WILL free them from your uncle Benedict." Nikita said. "He's called Father now and he won't like you messing around with his kids." Numbuh 1 said. "They're NOT his kids, they're his slaves and I'm going to save them from him." Nikita said.
Numbuh 5 stood in shock as she watched everything from the shadows. She couldn't even begin to process everything that she heard. She could only watch as her two friends continued their conversation.
