As much as I know I shouldn't start a new story, I've been listening to Taylor Swift's new album on repeat since it came out and I've always found very Romitri themes in her songs. This album is no different and I have big plans for this story, including backtracking later on to earlier albums with Rose making Dimitri listen to some of her past work. This takes place well after Last Sacrifice and doesn't change anything plot or character wise. Anyway, I hope you like it! I don't own VA or any of Taylor Swift's lyrics.

October 21st, 2022

"Rose!" Lissa exclaimed, letting herself into mine and Dimitri's room as we lounged together in bed.

"Lissa!" I chucked a decorative pillow at her and she laughed. "You could have just seen something you really didn't want to see!"

"It would have been my own fault," she shrugged, still chuckling. "Besides, it'd be karmic payback for all the times you got sucked into my private life." I gave an exaggerated shudder at that, not missing that aspect of the bond at all.

"It's Taylor Swift day!" she exclaimed, finally announcing the reason for her unexpected visit. I untangled myself from Dimitri's long limbs as he watched with barely masked amusement. Lissa and I locked hands and squealed excitedly.

"Who's Taylor Swift?" Dimitri cocked an eyebrow at us and I groaned.

"You need to get away from the '80s music, comrade," I rolled my eyes. "I would have thought you'd know anyway. She started out country."

"Ah, a singer then," he nodded in understanding.

"Only the best singer of our generation and her 10th studio album came out today!" Lissa explained, jumping up and down. I laughed at her excitement. I was a T. Swift fan too but Lissa practically worshipped her.

"While also being her 12th album, simultaneously," I added. Dimitri looked confused.

"She's rerecording one through six since they were stolen by this sleezeball that made her life hell for years," Lissa offered. "She's rerecorded two so far, making this her 10th original album while having officially released twelve full length editions."

"How does one steal music?" Dimitri was still confused.

"When masters are recorded, the rights go partially to the artist but mostly to the label that produces it," I elaborated. "Her new label gives her full creative freedom, as well as one hundred precent ownership over her original music. The old label did not and sold out to her number one adversary."

"Ah," he said simply, still looking like he didn't quite understand.

"Anyway, Rose!" Lissa tugged on my arm. "Get dressed and meet me in my room in fifteen. My Target edition came and she announced even more bonus tracks in a special three AM edition at, you guessed it, three AM." Lissa spun and left the room and I stripped off Dimitri's shirt that I'd worn to bed. A look of longing filled Dimitri's face and I smirked. I sauntered over to him, swaying my hips in just a lacy pair of panties and planted a chaste kiss on his lips.

"Sorry, lover," I purred. "I've been involved with Miss Swift far longer than I've known you." I turned away, slipping my bra on and gasping in surprise as Dimitri's large hands clasped it for me. He kissed my bare shoulder.

"Can I come?" he asked, trailing kisses up my neck. "I'd like the hear the singer that has you willing to walk away from our day off together."

"Of course," I grinned up at him over my shoulder and we both got dressed. We arrived in Lissa's room right on time and she beamed at me from her couch, curled under Christian's arm. He looked delightfully sullen and I couldn't hold back the giggle at his expense.

"What's wrong, sparky?" I teased and he simply glared at me, looking very much like he wanted to set me on fire. Lissa rolled her eyes and smacked his chest.

"Come, sit," she demanded, regally. Dimitri and I complied, taking up residence on the opposite end of the couch. He sat first and pulled me into his lap, arms encircling me and my head falling to his strong shoulder. Lissa smiled and pressed play on the CD player's remote she had in her hand. We exchanged smiles as the first notes played and the human girl's voice filled the room.
