A Psychic's Quest
Chapter 6: 4th Psychic Arrives.
Mewtwo floated quickly to the door and opened it. In the doorway stood a normal height man, with yellow hair in a flip at the fore head, the tallest strand of hair being red. His shirt was black and he wore a red vest with flame patterns. He wore loose black pants and his hands were covered in finger-less gloves. He let out a smile when he saw Mewtwo. "MEWTWO!" He exclaimed, hugging the Pokemon. "It's been so long, hasn't it. Oh, Sabrina! Chaotzu! Mew! Um, little boy. Hello!"
Mewtwo pushed the man off him and moaned. "Ness, meet Burn Griffiths. He is the grandmaster of fire and a very powerful psychic. Burn, this is Ness...So, what took you?" Mewtwo asked after the introductions were complete.
"Well I had to get judged by that guy first right? And after that..." Burn said, turning and point to a cloaked figure in blue. "She followed me and I tried to lose her."
Mewtwo face went pale as he saw the woman. "Erm, um, Raven! Why are...you here?" He asked stuttering.
Raven floated up to the cat and glared. "How come I wasn't invited to this little party?" She asked.
"I, uh, thought you were busy." He said, looking away from Raven. "Besides, I don't wanna put you in danger."
Raven pointed at Ness. "He is going, right? He can't be more then 13."
"Um, no he's not coming."
"WHAT!?" Ness yelled pulling Mewtwo's tail. He pulled him down so Mewtwo and Ness's faces were touching. "Hey..." He said, eyes narrowing to almost lines. "You said I could come..."
Mewtwo began to sweat. "Um..."
SLAP
The argument was stopped mid conversation by a giant slap. Marth was walking away, rubbing his now red check muttering something about how he didn't mean it. Sabrina was standing there, enraged, and her hand red. After a few moments of staring, the fighting began again. "Enough!" Mewtwo yelled after a few minutes of fighting. "Listen Raven, Ness is psychic so he should come along."
Raven put her hands on her hips. "But that's just not fair, we're friends."
"Fine!" Mewtwo yelled. "I propose a battle. Ness versus Raven, the winner can come along, okay? That way only the strongest would come..."
Raven and Ness looked at each other. "Why can't we both just come along?" They asked in unison.
"Because we will most likely be dying before the mission is over and I don't want you two kids to get hurt!" Mewtwo yelled. There was a pause and a great silence. Ness or Raven had not thought of that. This mission was dangerous and would most likely claim the life of at least one...
"A battle sounds fun." Chaotzu said after a long while. Raven and Ness, who were in trance like states until the clown said that, nodded in agreement.
"Fine then, we shall have a battle." Mewtwo said. "Super Smash Brothers style!"

Ness and Raven stood in a giant white room. On each side there was a round circle. "So, what is this?" Raven asked.
"It's the battle arena." Mewtwo's voice could be heard. Raven turned to a big window on the far side of the room. "We are gonna be back here watching your battle."
"Don't pay them any mind." Ness said, smirking. "You'll need all your full attention to defeat me."
Raven looked at Ness. "I'm sure..."
"You will have three lives and no weapons. KO you opponent three times first and win. Ready?" Mewtwo said over the intercom. Both Ness and Raven nodded. "Then I'll set the stage to random and...BEGIN!"
The white room began to transform. Ness appeared on a branch of a tree while Raven landed on a roof top near a Drug store. The stage chosen was Onett and the alternate music, Pollyanna, was play. "The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup!" Ness sang with the starting rhythm. "Oh god! I just remember something!" He blurted out. "My map is over 4 years due!"
Raven, sweatdroping, flew at Ness with a punch ready. "I'm tired of your jokes, I just wanna win fast!" She launched a punch at Ness, but he easily dodged. Ness kneed Raven as her body flew past him, knocking the wind out of her. He jumped upwards and landed on the Drug Store, the platform shaking slightly. Raven caught onto to the house and pulled herself up. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" She yelled, he hands being engulfed in a black energy.
She fired small black blasts at the psychic boy, each of them hitting him and sending him falling backwards. "Ouch..." He muttered, falling to the ground. He stood up and looked around for Raven.
HONK HONK!
Ness heard the honking, but it was too late. POW! The blue car slammed right into Ness, sending him off the board. "Gah!" He yelled as his stock fell. Ness was brought back on a hover platform over the drug store. "Damn Sunday drivers..." He muttered, falling down and reading himself for his next attack.
Mewtwo and the other three sat and watch as the two teens beat each other up. Mewtwo smiled and said, "Well at this rate they'll ware each other out and then won't wanna join us."
Burn shrugged and replied, "Maybe." Chaotzu and Sabrina stayed quite.
"Grr..." Mewtwo growled, crossing his arms. "I didn't want to have a fight between these two."
"Why?" Asked Burn, turning towards Mewtwo.
"No madder who wins, we're getting two annoying brats!"
