Miroku's POV
"I love you, Miroku."
All my life I've been surrounded by curses. The Curse that took away my family and eventually destroy me, the curse of curiosity, the curse of a wandering hand, and the curse of false love.
The last one irritates me the most. It seems each lover I've been with is more fake then the last, and even though I refuse to admit it, it hurts me.
I've heard those words spoken by so many women, their eyes full of lust. Only wanting pleasure, not my heart, or my love.
But, this time it's different, the girl in my arms is different. When she spoke those words, they came from her heart and the only thing in her eyes was love.
"I love you too, Kagome."
And now, as I gaze upon her angelic face, I think, maybe I'm not so cursed after all.
