Disclaimer: I only own my feelings not even the story because it's true.
Rikku ran upstairs to her room and slammed the door. Then she sank down to her knees. "February" she whispered as the tears started to flow down her pimpled cheeks. I'm going insane! I'm crying! Ra damnit! It's not fair!
Just then the beep of her MSN brought her back to reality. She began dragging herself to the laptop and when she reached it she flopped down in her chair.
The tears pooling into the keys as she typed.
Titus- Happy New Year!
Rikku- Whatever T-T
Titus- Oh no not you too! What's wrong?
Rikku- How's Yunie?
Titus- Distant and somewhat depressed…why? Do you know what's wrong? She won't tell me!
Rikku- nod yes.
Titus- Then what?
Rikku- Her mom/my aunt…Titus- Yes.
Rikku- She's dying…
Titus- WHAT!!!!?
Rikku- Cancer…she's been given until February…
Titus-….ouch! ….
Rikku- I have to go now…
Titus- Yah me to…I'll call?
Rikku- No! It's close to 1:00am!
Titus- Then tomorrow?
Rikku- Fine. Bye
Titus- Bye.
She signed off and wandered over to the window it was pouring rain out. Just then her eye caught glimpse of something outside.
It was a black rose she reached for it, it fell revealing a note. Rikku grabbed it, read it and set it on her desk then went to bed.
Death, though it seems really big is just the end of a story. It is hard but that doesn't mean it's going to change. However it is real, but life is also & that is bigger than death. Even the person isn't completely gone and their story can be told and retold again. The memories you have of them live on. Even though they aren't here anymore they live on in your heart, and nothing , not even death can change that.
Another thing, we all must die sometime and we can't change that so the best thing to do is make your life worthwhile and make your story worth telling.
