In Stanley Ipkiss' Apartment

Stanley what just happened?" Evelyn asked as she looked outside Stanley's apartment window watching as the stars outside slowly rotated past in the sky above.

"Nothing happened Evelyn at least not yet!" Stanley said in a nervous voice trying to forget his date getting her hands on the mask and trying it on only to be transformed by its power into a love sick man eater. Evelyn then turned to face
him.

"Then why do I feel different then?!" She asked in a harsh icy voice.

Stanley remembering that when she wore the mask she had stood up to Pretorius afterwards. Once he had removed it from her face she had done the same thing again but this time declaring her love for him.

He then thought something, had the mask given her an inner confidence that she had never had before? He quickly put that thought out of his mind as he watched as she turned to face him.

"Well Stanley!" She said in another icy tone.

"I am waiting for my answer!"She said in an impatience tone.

Stanley swallowed hard as he thought up a lie that he could tell her thinking of how she would react if she knew about the mask and the trouble that it had caused them. He then thought of something else, what would it be like if Peggy wore it?

Again he quickly dismissed that thought as this wasn't about her it was about him and Evelyn, who he wanted to be his girlfriend, he watched her tapping her foot the brown and tan jacket making her look like an office worker.

"We went to the Coco Bongo nightclub babe!" He said lying under his teeth.

"There we spent the night dancing and having a great time it's no wonder that you can't remember!" She then came up to him.

"What else happened?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around his waist. Stanley looked up at her as he felt her lips meeting his he also felt that a part of Eve lived within her, they then kissed passionately watching as the star wheeled above in the night sky. Evelyn then woke up sweat pouring from her head.

"Was that a dream?" She asked herself as she pulled herself up out of bed.

"God I feel like I am about to be sick!" She then ran to the bathroom in her apartment just to be sick before she reached the toilet she walked up to a mirror that hung on the wall.

As she looked at her reflection she saw something strange, looking at her from within the mirror was a tall green headed woman who wore a red dress. On her green face she wore red lipstick and sky blue eyeshadow. Her hair was brown and long and was tied into a ponytail.

"Hiya sugar guess who I am?" She said in a Southern accent, Eyelyn felt herself going faint everything went dark and black as her vision gave out.

Next Day – Edge City Public Library

It was mid morning as Evelyn was at work her mind was focused on her work and not on the vision that she had of herself in the mirror or the dream.

As she turned her back to a bookcase and held a book in her hand to put back inside she turned to her front and saw a fat ugly old woman wearing a large flowery dress.

She had pale skin which was wrinkled and black greying hair coming towards her she frowned at the sight of her as she knew who this person was and why she was walking towards her. As she came towards her the woman started yelling at her.

"Hey four eyes why no boyfriend yet!?" She said as she smiled and taunted her.

"What I am paying for just to load books on the shelf! Come on, pull your weight!" She shouted as Evelyn clenched her teeth and one hand into a fist.

"I am doing all that I can Miss Robins!" She said quietly back.

"Please, I need more time!" Secretly all she wanted to do was to shut her boss up.

"Making promises again that you can't keep!" Miss Robin said as she laughed.

"Just to let you know that you are on your last warning!" The fat pump older woman said in an impatience tone as she stormed off in a foul mood.

"That old crone!" Evelyn said gritting her teeth as he placed four books on the shelf.

"One of these days I'll get her back for what she said!"

As she was cursing her she let go of one of the books it fell hard onto the floor opening at a page Evelyn climbed down to pick it up but as she was about to pick it up as stared at the open page.

It showed an image of what looked like a wooden mask with a metal band inserted in its middle on the other page it showed someone putting it on. Evelyn gasped as she picked up the book closing it and carefully tucking it inside her jacket.

As she did this her mind began to wander she found herself standing in a nightclub music was playing gentle in the background she found that she was wearing a pink colored dress her hair was down then she saw him standing not far from her Stanley Ipkiss the man of her dreams.

Slowly she walked up to him and grabbed hold of both of his hands she smiled at him as the two of them started to dance. As they were dancing something odd began to happen the band started playing more frantically the music and rhythm became much faster.

Stanley for a moment stopped and looked at Eveyln his mouth then dropped at what he saw standing in front of him wearing a long evening dress that covered her feet was a green headed woman her face was makeup with purple makeup and she smiled at him grinning with affection.

"Hiya sugar!" She said in a southern accent voice.

"Would you care to dance with me?!"
