A/N: Here's the start of my season 4 TMNT story.
Please read and review?
All was quiet at the Jones' old farm, as an owl hooted in the night, with a mini-van and black car parked outside.
Splinter: Life moves as the wheel of destiny turns, day to night, night to day.
Splinter, Leo, Elisa, Donnie and Mikey all hid in a corner of the farmhouse, all still injured from their fight with the Shredder.
Our fight with the Shredder nearly cost us our lives. We are broken, battered, but alive.
The four Turtles flitch in pain from their injuries.
Our bodies will heal...
The Turtles turned and walked off, as Splinter approached one of the farmhouse's windows.
..but I wonder:...
Inside, Casey and April stared at a man with a Federation blaster.
..Do my children carry other wounds not so easily overcome?
Splinter turned and moved away from the window.
Leo then ducked down behind the car, then honked its horn.
I know with a great heaviness that there will always be some new threat to challenge us.
Leo ducked down behind the car, as the farmhouse door opened, then seven Purple Dragons stepped out of it.
I only pray my sons will be prepared to face it...
At the Jones' old farm, a mini-van was parked outside, as April opened the front door, then helped Splinter inside, while turning the lights on.
"Oh..." Splinter moaned.
"Just a little bit further, Master Splinter." April said.
She helped him inside, then Mikey and Donnie followed them.
"Finally." Mikey said, as they stopped in the doorway. "Now someone get my a fork or something? You have no idea how bad my legs itch!"
"Yeah, we do, Mikey." Donnie said, as they walked into the farmhouse. "We heard about it the whole trip."
Elisa and Cath then stepped inside, Elisa leaning on Cath slightly for support.
"You said it about 100 times." Cath recalled.
Casey and Leo then helped Raph inside.
"Ow!" Raph moaned.
Leo closed the door behind him, as April helped Splinter sit down in a chair.
"Oh... Thank you, April." Splinter said. "I'm not as young as I once was. Wounds take longer to heal."
Donnie and Mikey moved across the room, as Elisa and Cath sat down near the fireplace. Over it, was now a old black and white picture of a man and a dog.
"I'm still as young as I once was, and I don't feel like I'm ever gonna heal!" Mikey complained.
"Mikey, you will!" Cath assured. "It just takes time. I should know, being a Doctor and all."
"She's right, bro." Donnie agreed.
"Well, what's your best guess then?" Mikey asked.
"I'd say about a month at least, depending on how bad they are." Cath answered. "Same goes for all of us."
"Oh, man!" Mikey complained.
Leo and Casey helped Raph sit down on the couch.
"Ah! Too bad you didn't brake your jaw!" he said, before he lay down on the couch. "Maybe we'd finally get a little piece and quiet around here. Ah, ow!"
Mikey moved towards a chair and sat down in it.
"Ah!" he sighed. "That's...better."
He opened his eyes and sniffed something.
"Eww! What's that smell? It smells like burnt..." he said, before turning to his father. "Oh, right. Sorry, Sensei."
"Alright, who's hungry?" April asked.
"Me." Donnie said, raising his hand, sitting near his sisters.
"I am." Elisa said, as she and Mikey raised their hands.
"I..." Mikey said.
"I am." Donnie said.
"..am."
"I'd raise my hand if I could." Cath said.
"Over here." Casey said, as he and Raph raised their hands.
Leo however, just stared out of the window, looking at the farm, getting April and Cath's attention.
"Leo?" April said.
Everyone else turned to Leo.
"Leonardo?" Splinter said.
"You okay, bro?" Elisa asked.
"I'm fine." Leo said.
Cath stared at him, noticing his tone was different from normal.
"Wound must be deeper than the Utroms thought." she thought.
Later, Casey walked out of the farmhouse, yawning, then approached the mini-van as owls hooted in the night. He then opened the back of it up, then closed it and walked back towards the farmhouse. As he did however, a basement door of the barn opened up, then a male figure stared at him.
Upstairs, the Turtles all lay on a bed each, Raph lying on a makeshift one, as Splinter sat on his knees near a pot of boiling water. The only one not lying down was Leo, who was staring out of a window, looking depressed. Mikey scratched his right leg with a fork on a stick, when April came in with some food.
"Ah!" Mikey sighed.
"Don't scratch, Mikey." April said.
"April, did you bring your laptop?" Donnie asked. "You think we can get a wireless signal out here?"
"Hey, April, can you run out and get some comics for me?" Mikey asked.
"Hey, April! April!" Raph said, getting her attention. "Can you whack Mikey upside the head for me? I can't reach."
"My sons, enough!" Splinter said. "Our bodies need rest to heal, and that includes your mouths."
"Sensei's right." Cath said. "Our best chance, is to try and sleep for now."
Mikey began scratching his left leg, when April snatched his fork from him.
"Huh?" he muttered.
"No scratching!" April said sternly.
Everyone turned to Leo, who kept staring out the window.
"Ahem." April said, clearing her throat. "Master Splinter?"
"Leonardo, you need rest as well." Splinter said.
"I'll rest when..." Leo said, as crickets made noises outside. "I'll rest later."
"I guess when we eat, someone will have to feed me." Cath sighed, looking at her arms.
"Isn't that lazy?" Donnie inquired.
"Well, how am I suppose to eat when both my arms are broken?" Cath inquired.
"She's got a point, Don." Elisa reasoned. "You need at least one arm to eat."
"Ah. Fair enough." Donnie sighed.
Outside, the figure ran towards the farmhouse, then climbed over the wooden railing, his feet making a noise on the planks.
"Huh?" Splinter gasped, his ears popping up. "Someone is outside."
Leo stumbled towards the others, clutching his chest.
"Stay up here." April said. "I'll check it out."
She put the food she'd brought on Mikey's bed, then turned and walked towards the stairs.
Downstairs, Casey was at the bottom of the stairs, then touched part of a wall, which was missing the wallpaper.
"Hey, April, check this out?" he asked, as April came down the stairs. "You could still see where they plastered up the wall I punched through when I was seven."
"Shh!" April shushed, her finger at her lips. "Casey, Splinter heard someone outside."
"Out here?" Casey questioned. "Ah, don't worry. There's no one around for miles."
They both turned as they heard someone playing with the door handle.
"Ah!" April gasped.
"Huh?" Casey muttered.
They both stared at the door, as the handle kept moving slightly.
"Then again..." Casey said.
"Ah!" April gasped.
Casey walked towards the door, then opened it up, and then a man looking similar to him - only with darker hair - fell through the doorway.
"Whoa!" he yelped.
Casey grabbed him by his jacket as he closed the door, then held the man up against it.
"Ah! Casey!" he said, as Casey got ready to punch him.
Casey stared at him, looking at him carefully, then smirked.
"Well, what do you know." he said. "You're not welcome here!"
"Last time I checked, this was my Grandma's house too." the man argued.
"Casey..?" April said, approaching them.
"Put me down, you psycho!" the man snapped.
Casey let him go. "April, this is my gambling, thieving, good-for-nothing cousin Sid." he explained.
"Wow. And I thought Casey was the black sheep of the Jones family." April said.
"What do you want, Sid?" Casey asked. "You always want something."
"I just want what's mine." Sid said. "You get this house. You get the girls. Well, I want my share. I want the money!"
Casey and April turned to each other confused.
"What are you talking about, Sid?" Casey asked.
Unknown to any of them, Donnie was hiding in the shadows of the stairs, listening in on them.
"Don't give me that! You know what I'm talking about!" Sid said, as Donnie turned and walked up the stairs. "The loot! Everyone knows that Grandpa robbed that train."
He pointed at the picture over the fireplace.
"I want Grandpa's share of the Hovick Tunnel Train job!" Sid said.
Donnie ran up the stairs, seeing Leo and Elisa at the top of them.
"Casey's cousin said Casey's Grandpa was a train robber." Donnie explained quietly.
Leo and Elisa turned to the others, who still lay on their beds.
"Cool." Mikey said.
"We should've known Casey would come from a long-line of boneheads." Raph said, punching his head slightly.
"I'm starting to wonder which is the biggest bonehead in the family." Elisa shrugged.
Downstairs, April stared at both Jones'.
"You're crazy, Sid." Casey said. "No one ever believed that old story!"
"I believed it!" Sid argued. "He said he buried the loot. 'Spot marks the X' he was always saying, the crazy old coot. I dug holes out here for years looking for it, for anything that looked like an X. It's gotta be here!"
"'Spot marks the X'? That's not right." April said.
Casey walked past Sid towards the door, then turned and opened it.
"Get outta here, Sid!" he demanded.
"I need that money, Casey?" Sid begged, approaching him. "You've got it, don't you? You've got the money?"
"Sid, there is no money." Casey insisted, grabbing his shirt.
April ran towards them both, making Casey let go.
"Casey, wait? Sid, are you in trouble?" she asked.
Sid turned around and sighed, before he pulled out a Federation blaster and turned back, aiming it at them.
"Spot marks the X, Casey!" he snarled. "You're lying!"
April backed away in shock, as Casey put his arm in front of her.
"Now give me that money or things are gonna get ugly!" Sid warned.
Casey and April began to back away towards the wall near the stairs, as Sid kept aiming at them.
"I'm not gonna ask you again, Case! Now give me that money!" Sid demanded.
Donnie watched them from the top of the stairs, then he turned and walked up. Elisa then took his hand and helped him up to the top floor, as Leo stared at them.
"Well, so much for that family reunion." Donnie said.
"What do you mean?" Cath inquired, confused.
"Cousin Sid brought a Federation blaster to the party." Donnie explained.
"Ah!" Leo moaned, scratching his shoulder wound.
Raph sat himself up in pain, as Cath got up and off her bed.
"We should've known Casey's lack of smarts would run in the family." Raph said.
"What should we do?" Donnie wondered.
Mikey kept still on his bed, his legs now resting on a bear-skin rug on the end of it.
"Hey, I got it." he said.
He sat up, then began to put the rug over him.
"We disguise ourselves in old animal skins, get close enough to Sid, then spring on him." he suggested, putting his legs on the floor.
"Oh, Mikey! If only I could reach you right now...Bam!" Raph snarled, clutching his fist.
He felt his ribs crack, making him put his hand on his chest.
"Ow! Ow!" he moaned.
"You really need to watch yourself, bro." Cath advised. "Otherwise, you're gonna make yourself worse."
"Your sister is right, Raphael. And you must take this seriously." Splinter said. "Sid is obviously destressed. We need to-"
"I'll take care of Sid." Leo said, walking away.
Everyone turned to him as he approached the window.
"Leonardo?" Splinter said.
Leo ignored him and opened up the window.
"Leonardo?" Splinter said sternly.
"It's not like Leo to ignore Sensei." Cath thought.
"Huh?" Leo muttered.
He saw a light in the distance, that was coming straight towards the farmhouse. Mikey and Elisa then both came over towards him.
"Woah-uh." Mikey said.
"What the shell?" Elisa muttered.
Donnie came over, as they all saw a black car heading for the farmhouse.
"That can't be good." Mikey said.
The car then pulled over, showing it was an SUV, then a man with brown hair, earrings, and a ring near his right eye got out, wearing a black outfit with Purple Dragon marks.
"Ah." he said, picking a toothpick in his mouth.
The other doors opened up - including the back boot - then six more Purple Dragons got out, all wearing the same outfit. They all carried a Federation blaster, then a bald one called Max gave the first man one, who was called Spuds. The others were a man with dyed green hair called Sam, a muscular man with light brown hair called Jake, a man with red hair and green sunglasses called Harry, a man with dark brown hair called Lucas, and a Latin man with black hair called Chico.
Spuds soon kicked the farmhouse door open.
"Ah!" April gasped, as Sid turned around.
"Heya, Sid. Long time, no see." Spuds said, approaching him. "Looks like you're having quite the party here."
"Spuds, what are you doing here?" Sid asked.
Spuds' men entered the farmhouse, with Jake closing the door behind them.
"I told ya I'd get ya the money." Sid said.
"Sid, Sid, Sid. I'm not some two-bit bookie anyone." Spuds smirked, knocking Sid's blaster down with his own. "We're Purple Dragons now."
"Mm-mm." some of his gang said.
"Ha! Purple Dragons?" Casey scoffed, folding his arms. "What are you; the Northampton chapter? Look, April? They got matching jackets. Ooh..."
April looked unamused.
"Shut up, Casey!" Sid snarled.
Spuds wrapped his arm around Sid.
"The Dragons have a new agender." he explained, leading Sid towards the stairs. "We're going places, and all markers are being called in. That means yours too, Sid."
Leo, Donnie and Elisa all looked at them from the shadows at the top of the stairs.
"Purple Dragons." Leo hissed.
"In new outfits, too." Elisa noted.
"I hate Purple Dragons!" Leo hissed, touching his wound.
"I told you I'd get you the money, Spuds." Sid swore, as Spuds walked off. "And I will, tonight."
Casey looked over at his bag of stuff, which was nearby.
"Oh, I know you will, Sid." Spuds smirked.
He turned around, as his gang aimed their blasters at Casey and April, making them raise their hands up.
"We're just here to make sure your little treasure hunt goes smooth." Spuds explained, walking forward slightly. "Boys, help Sid look."
Sid turned as the Purple Dragons laughed and began to trash the place.
Max and Jake both laughed as they approached a table, then Max threw a table chair away, when Harry kicked it over. They then began trashing up antique plates and cups on a shelf, before pulling it down.
"Why you two-bit..!" Casey began.
He clutched his fists, shaking with anger as April held her arms out in front of him, when Spuds aimed his blaster at them, shutting him up.
"Uh-uh-uh." Spuds said, shaking his head.
Lucas lifted up the couch seats, knocking over a lamp as he did, then Chico and Sam threw a chest onto the floor, opening it up. Jake then lifted a draw up and dumped what was inside to the floor, which included a bunch of plain cards, as Harry picked up a bowgun attached to a bear trap.
"Huh? Oops." he said, accidently firing the arrow.
Upstairs, the Turtles and Splinter saw the arrow wedge itself into the floor.
"Huh?" they gasped.
"I sure picked the wrong time to have broken legs." Mikey said, looking at them.
"And me to have broken arms." Cath sighed. "There's no way I can lift stuff with them like this."
"Speak for yourself, you two. I can take on seven Purple Dragons lying on my back." Raph said.
"Even in your shape, bro?" Cath inquired.
"Yeah." Raph said.
"Our injures do have us at a disadvantage." Splinter said.
"Enough talk!" Leo said, getting up. "Let's take them down!"
"Leo, you're stealing Raph's line." Mikey said, as Leo turned and walked off slightly.
"Yeah, what gives, Leo?" Elisa questioned.
"Hey, I don't mind." Raph said. "I love it when Leo talks tough. We should get Karai to stab him more often."
Leo turned to him angrily, making Elisa get up and move towards them.
"Hey, hey, cool it!" Elisa snapped, holding her arm in front of Leo.
"Yeah, easy, Leo." Mikey said, putting his right crutch in front of Raph. "Leave Raph to me. Raph needs a hiding place, don't you, Raphie boy. And I got just the spot."
"Hiding spot?" Raph questioned.
Leo and Donnie soon picked him up and carried him off towards a closet, as the others watched.
"Don't even..." Raph said. "No way am I missing this action!"
Donnie and Leo put him down inside the closet.
"Don't worry, Raph." Mikey said, peering in the doorway. "We'll come back for you."
Leo and Donnie turned and walked out of the closet.
"Maybe." Mikey added.
Leo turned around and closed the door.
"Mikey, you better hope I never heal! I'll-" Raph began, before his ribs began to hurt. "AH! Ow! Ow!"
The other Turtles and Splinter turned to each other.
"One of us should stay and keep an eye on him." Donnie suggested.
"I'll do it." Cath offered. "I've got no working arms, which means I'll be more of a liability out there, unlike you guys."
"Okay." Donnie said.
"Keep your eye on him, sis." Elisa advised. "You know how angry he gets."
"I will, Ellie." Cath promised.
Downstairs, the Purple Dragons had stopped tearing the place apart, and were staring at Sid.
"I'm not seeing any of this treasure, Sid!" Spuds said.
(Outside)
Splinter, Leo, Donnie, Elisa and Mikey all listened in from behind a wall.
"You know what happens if we don't get that money!" Spuds warned.
The four Turtles walked off, as Splinter climbed over the railing, then peeked in through the window.
"I...I..." Sid said.
(Inside)
The Purple Dragons all stared at Sid.
"Casey has the money!" Sid lied frantically, pointing at him. "He found it."
"What?!" Casey frowned.
"Hey!" April said, grabbing his arm.
"Sid, you weasel!" Casey snarled. "There is no money!"
"Well, I guess we're just gonna have to beat the truth outta youse." Spuds smirked. "Boys."
His men all began to move forward, when a horn made them all stop as Spuds spread his arms out.
"What the? That's my car!" Spuds exclaimed, turning around. "Nobody messes with my car, ever!"
He grabbed Max by the shirt.
"Max..." he said.
"Yeah?" Max said.
"..you and the others find out whoever's out there!" Spuds ordered. "And take care of them."
Max opened the door, then he and gang all stepped outside, as the car's horn kept honking. Max growled as he approached it, then opened the door, but saw no one inside the car.
"Alright, search the place!" Max ordered, turning around. "Ghosts didn't honk that horn."
The gang all separated and ran off, while Max closed the door and looked around.
Jake, Harry and Lucas all walked towards the barn, but then Lucas and Harry separated to walk on either side of it.
Lucas stopped near the right wall, then peeked out from behind it, not noticing Mikey hiding behind the wood pile. He came out from behind the wall and looked around, as Mikey peeked out at him. Mikey looked at the wood pile, getting an idea in his head, before he threw up his right crutch, then caught it upside down. He turned around to move, but his right leg got caught of a piece of wood, making it move.
"OW!" Mikey yelped, dropping his crutches.
He then fell back against the pile of wood, causing them all to roll over, with some falling over the barrier.
"Huh?" Lucas muttered, turning around.
He stared at the logs as Mikey lay on his shell, seeing one of his crutches out of reach.
"Aw, shell. I wonder if it's too late to switch places with Raph or Cath?" he wondered.
He turned around, and saw Lucas slowly approaching him. He then slowly pulled himself up on his other crutch, trying to lean on it.
"Ah!" he gasped, falling over.
He lifted himself up slightly, then lifted his crutch up, and moved it to the other one, trying to pull it towards him. He heaved nervously as Lucas kept approaching him.
"Come on!" he said. "Come to, Mikey!"
The wooden stall he was in began to move, as he finally got his crutch back.
"Yeah." he said, catching it. "Uh-oh."
The stall began him began to move some more, before it began to fall over.
"Huh?" Lucas gasped. "AH!"
He turned around to run away, but the stall fell on him, trapping him beneath the rubble.
"AHH!" Lucas gritted, trying to get up.
He then passed out, with his face in the grass, as Mikey walked slowly forward with his crutches.
"Two busted legs, flat on my shell, and I'm still all that and a bag of chips." he said, before putting his hands on his chin. "Hmm? Chips."
Jake walked towards the barn door, then stopped near it, leaning against it. He then aimed his blaster as he looked through the doorway, then stepped into the barn and looked around, before some lights came on.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He saw the lights were the headlights of an old truck.
"Okay, buddy, game's..." he said, running towards it.
He looked through the door area - as the door was missing - but saw no one inside.
"..over?" he said, confused.
He then heard a noise upstairs.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He turned and saw a chain dangling from the upper floor, which was making the noise as it swung.
Donnie handspringed forward on the upper floor with his good arm, then crouched down near some tires.
"Ah!" he grunted.
He began to lift a tire up, but it hit his bad arm.
"AH!" he yelped, covering his mouth.
He lifted the tire up slightly, then rolled it along the boardwalks, getting Jake's attention.
"Huh? Who's there?" Jake snarled.
He began to climb up a ladder to the upper floor, when Donnie ran over to it and grabbed the top of it, swinging it away.
"Ah!" Jake gasped. "Uh! AGHHH!"
He fell off the ladder and landed in a pile of hay, as the top of the ladder hit the opposite end of the top floor.
"AH!" Jake moaned.
Donnie flipped forward and landed on the top floor, then picked up a piece of rope.
"Help!" Jake called.
Donnie began to make a knot in the rope, using his mouth to do so.
Jake jumped out of the hay pile, kicking the ladder away as he did, then he turned and ran towards his blaster. Before he could reach it however, Donnie threw the rope like a lasso at him, which landed in front of him. He then unknowingly stepped into it, then Donnie pulled on the rope, making Jake hit the floor on his chest.
"Uh!" he moaned.
Donnie heaved as he pulled on the rope, then ran towards a rafter on the upper floor, then he jumped down from it, with the rope going over the rafter.
"AH!" Jake gritted.
Donnie landed on the ground as the rope lifted Jake up so he was hanging upside down.
"Gotcha." Donnie grinned.
"AH! Hey, get me down from here!" Jake demanded, as he swung back and forth. "AH! AHH! Spuds! AH! Guys, help!"
Donnie put a bunch of hay in his mouth, shutting him up.
"Nighty night, dragon boy." he joked.
He then punched Jake in the face, knocking him out.
Chico meanwhile, had been searching around in the woods near the farm, looking around carefully. Unknown to him, Elisa had been watching him from a tree branch behind him, watching him carefully. As he came back to the woods edge where the farm was however, he heard a stone rattle.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He turned around and aimed his blaster, but saw nothing, confusing him. He walked slightly back into the forest, when Elisa stuck her left leg out from a bush, tripping him up.
"Whoa!" he yelped.
He hit the ground on his chest, dropping his blaster as he did.
"Oh!" he moaned.
He pulled his head up and shook it, then reached for his blaster, but Elisa dashed quickly across the dark path and swiped it.
"What the?" Chico gasped, getting up.
He looked around frantically.
"Who's there?" he called. "Show yourself!"
He took a few steps forward, when he blaster was thrown in front of him, bent and unusable.
"Huh?" he gasped.
He turned around, but saw Elisa hanging upside down from a branch.
"Boo!" she teased.
She then punched him in the face, knocking him down onto his back.
"Oh!" he moaned.
Elisa jumped down from the tree, hurting her busted ankle slightly as she did.
"Oh!" she gritted.
She walked towards Chico as he looked up at her, thinking she was a ghost due to the darkness.
"Hasta la vista, baby." Elisa smirked.
She then kicked Chico's face with her good leg, knocking him out.
Meanwhile, Harry moved to the cornfield near the barn, looking around. He then stopped when he saw a shadow next to him in the field.
"Ah!" he gasped, moving some corn away, seeing it was only a scarecrow.
He sighed and turned around, but then sniffed, as he smelled something burnt, as the scarecrow's head moved.
"Eww!" he said, touching his glasses. "What's that smell?"
The scarecrow jumped down into the cornfield, as he raised his glasses.
"It's like burnt- Ah!" he moaned, as someone hit him in the back. "Hair!"
He fell onto his knees, then onto his chest, out cold, showing Splinter had been disguised as the scarecrow.
"I may indeed smell, but at least I am still conscious." Splinter said.
Max waited by the car as owls hooted in the night, as the other Purple Dragons hadn't shown up.
"Guys! Guys!" he called. "What's going on here, guys!"
He backed away towards the car.
"This ain't funny, fellas!" he called.
A car's door opened up, then Leo dragged him inside, then began to beat him up.
Sam then came out from behind the mini-van, and could hear Leo beating up Max.
"Max?" he said.
He ran towards the car.
"Max, you in there?" he asked, opening up a door.
He saw no sign of anyone, freaking him out.
"OH!" Max moaned.
Sam turned and closed the door, seeing Max lying unconscious on the hood.
"Max?!" he gasped, running towards him.
He looked around frantically.
"Oh, mama!" he gulped.
Leo kicked the door open, hitting Sam in the chest.
"Oh!" he moaned, before falling onto his back. "OH! Oh! Oh!"
Leo closed the door and stared at Sam, as Mikey, Splinter, Elisa and Donnie all gathered around him.
"Good shot, Leo." Mikey commented.
Inside the farmhouse, Spuds was getting restless as he paced in front of the door, while Sid, Casey and April stared at him.
"Come on! Come on!" he hissed, turning around. "What is taking them so long?"
"Sid..." April said.
Sid turned to her and Casey, who both stood with their backs against a wall.
"..it doesn't have to be like this." April said, as Sid aimed his blaster at them. "We can talk this out."
"Talking ain't gonna find that money!" Sid argued. "Talk ain't gonna get Spuds off my back!"
"It's all about you, ain't it Sid?" Casey inquired, pointing at him, as April touched his shoulder. "Nothing chances."
"Shut up over there!" Spuds snapped, aiming his blaster. "I've heard enough out of you two! One more word, and I'm gonna..."
Four figures dashed by a window, making a slight noise as they did.
"Huh?" Spuds muttered, turning to it.
He moved towards the window, leaning against the small wall between it and the door. He turned to the door and opened it up.
"Hold it right...Huh?" he gasped, causing his toothpick to fall out of his mouth.
He was staring at Max, who had a picture of a turtle stuck to his shirt, sticking its tongue out.
"Ah..." Max moaned.
He fell onto his chest out cold, as Spuds moved slightly.
"Max?" Spuds questioned.
He turned around, aiming his blaster while looking around, seeing nothing. He then turned to Max and rolled him onto his back, then spotted the picture.
"Huh?" he muttered. "What the?"
"Here we go." Casey whispered to April.
Spuds turned around, looking around for his men.
"Guys! Sam! Jake!" he called. "Anyone!"
Sid backed away inside, as Casey slowly approached him.
"Ahem." Casey said, clearing his throat.
Sid turned around. "Ah!" he gasped.
"Heya, cous." Casey grinned.
He punched Sid and knocked him away towards a wall.
"AH!" he moaned, hitting it.
Spuds turned around and ran into the farmhouse, just as Casey picked up Sid's blaster. Spuds then fired his, making Casey drop his and push April away.
"Look out!" he yelled.
April back flipped away and landed crouched down near the stairs.
Casey then jumped forward and grabbed his bag, before landing on his butt down near the fireplace, when his bag was blasted out of his hands.
"Hey!" he complained.
He turned and saw it was Spuds, who aimed his blaster at him.
"You should've stayed outta this! Now, I'm gonna teach you a lesson you ain't never gonna forget!" Spuds snarled.
April tossed a bowl at him, which hit his hand, knocking his blaster away.
"Ah!" he yelped.
He rubbed his hand as he turned to April.
"Little girl, you're gonna wish you never did that!" Spuds snarled.
"That's funny." April smirked, raising her arms up. "I was gonna say the same thing to you."
Spuds growled and charged at her.
"April!" Casey cried.
Once Spuds got close to her, April grabbed him by the shirt, then bent down onto her back and threw him over her while kicking him.
"AHHH!" Spuds yelled, before hitting the floor. "Oh!"
April got up and turned around.
"I'm coming, babe!" Casey said, running across the room.
He then stopped when Sid got between them, holding his hockey stick.
"Case, I gotta have that money!" Sid insisted. "I'm sorry."
Spuds lifted his head up and touched it, then he rolled onto his chest and stared at April. They both turned to his blaster, then Spuds smirked.
"Ha." he said, picking it up.
He then aimed it at April.
"Now, about that lesson..." Spuds said, putting his toothpick back in his mouth.
April raised her arms up worriedly.
"See where that smart mouth got ya." Spuds smirked, approaching her. "Now we'll see how tough your boyfriend is, with my blaster stuck in your ribs."
"Huh?" Sid gasped, turning around.
Spuds grabbed April's arm, who then smirked and grabbed his, bending it.
"Ah!" Spuds grunted, losing his toothpick.
April spun around and threw him over her shoulder.
"AH!" he yelped, before hitting the floor. "OH!"
Sid held up Casey's hockey stick, as Casey dared him with his hand.
"Back off, Casey!" Sid warned.
He tried to whack Casey with the stick, but missed as Casey ducked, then he slapped Sid's head.
"Ow!" Sid yelped.
"Get real, Sid! You knew better than to tussle with me when we were kids." Casey said. "Did you get dumber or something?"
"Hut!" Sid snarled, trying to whack Casey.
Casey dodged the stick, then they both circled each other.
"Alright, you asked for it." Casey said.
Sid tried to whack him again, but Casey ducked, then grabbed the stick, and pulled it out of Sid's hands.
"Ah!" Sid gasped.
Casey then grabbed Sid by the shirt, then turned to Spuds and April.
"That's it, girlie!" Spuds snarled.
Casey smirked and threw Sid over to Spuds.
"AHH!" Sid yelled.
Spuds turned and ducked as Sid hit the wall, then fell to the floor. He then got up, when April sent a punch at him, but he blocked it by crossing his forearms over. He then blocked another with her hand, then tried to punch her, but missed as she ducked and spun around, and then kicked him in the chest.
"AH!" Spuds yelped, flying away.
He hit his back against a wall.
"Ah!" he grunted.
He and Sid moaned as April and Casey stared at them both.
"Looks like all that training paid off." Casey joked.
"This...isn't over!" Spuds snarled.
"Ah." April sighed, annoyed.
She picked up Spuds' blaster.
"Don't get any bright ideas!" she warned.
Sid laughed nervously.
"You don't know who you're messing with!" Spuds snarled. "The Purple Dragons will-"
Casey grabbed his jacket and picked him up.
"Whatever Sid owes, it's paid up as of right now!" Casey snarled.
"Or what?" Spuds growled.
Casey growled at him, then dragged him outside.
A little later, all four of them stood outside, as the sun began to rise, then Casey aimed a blaster at Spuds' car.
"Okay, okay?!" Spuds panicked, not wanting his ride destroyed. "Sure! Don't shoot?! I'll find a way to cover his marker and square it with the Purple Dragons!"
He moved to Sid as everyone turned to him.
"You don't owe us anything, Sid!" Spuds said frantically. "We're square."
Casey and April turned and smiled at each other.
"Just...Just please don't hurt the car?" Spuds begged, turning to them, as Casey turned around. "Okay? Deal?"
Later, Spuds and his men were all inside the car, then Spuds started it up and raced it away from the farm, as April, Casey and Sid watched.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish!" Casey said.
He, Sid and April all turned around and walked towards the farmhouse.
Unknown to them, Splinter, Leo, Elisa, Mikey and Donnie were all sitting on the roof near a window, looking at them.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Mikey moaned, climbing into the window.
Donnie handed him his left crutch, as Mikey couldn't get in carrying both.
"Okay, the pain is worth it." Mikey said, taking the crutch, putting it inside. "Just so I can raz Raph for missing out on all the action."
He put his crutch down, when Raph grabbed his right one, causing him to lose his balance and fall over.
"AHH!" Mikey yelped. "Uh!"
"Not all the action, Mikey." Raph grinned, sitting near the window.
"Ow!" Mikey moaned.
He opened up his eyes and saw Cath standing nearby.
"You shouldn't have said it, bro." she teased.
"Well, I see you kept your eye on Raph at least." Donnie noted.
"Yeah, she did." Raph sighed, annoyed. "Still annoyed I missed the fun through."
Down below, Sid turned to Casey, as April stood between them.
"Why'd ya do it, Casey?" Sid asked. "Why'd you help me out with Spuds after all I did?"
"Sid, you're a whackbag, but you're still family." Casey answered.
"Everybody deserves a new start." April said. "Even you, Sid, just make sure you don't blow it! Right, Casey?"
She turned to him, but saw he was sitting down, with his hand on his chin.
"Casey?" April said.
"Spot marks the X? Spot marks the X? It couldn't be, but...that's gotta be it: Spot." Casey said. "Don't you remember, Sid? Spot, the stray dog Grandpa took in? He loved that old dog."
He got up and walked towards the barn, then Sid and April followed him, before they stopped near the edge of it.
"Old Spot got pretty sick one summer and passed away." Casey said, crouching down. "I remember, there was one big stone in the foundation of the barn that Grandpa used to mark Spot's grave with."
He walked along near the edge of the barn wall, as Sid and April followed him. He crouched down near a large stone shaped like a tombstone, as April and Casey gathered around him.
"What are we waiting for? Pry that sucker loose." Sid said, rubbing his hands.
Casey grabbed the stone and heaved it off the barn wall.
"Ah!" he yelped, falling onto his back as he did.
He, April and Sid then looked through the hole, and spotted a chest in there, which Casey pulled out.
"We found it." Sid said. "The money."
Casey turned around, then Sid took the case from him.
"Finally, it's mine." he said, turning around.
"Huh?" Casey muttered.
Sid walked off slightly, as Casey and April looked annoyed, while Casey got up. He walked towards Sid angrily, while Sid stopped and looked at the chest, thinking about his actions.
"You gave me a second chance, Case." Sid said, handing the chest to Casey. "I'm not gonna blow it. Come on, cous. We'll share it."
Casey opened up the chest as April approached them, but instead of seeing money, they saw a bunch of receipts.
"Huh?" Casey muttered.
"What the?" Sid gasped.
April picked up one of the receipts and looked at it.
"They're receipts...to charities." she said.
A wind began to pick up, blowing the remaining receipts away.
"Grandma Jones never did approve of Grandpa's train robbing past." Casey said. "Looks like she made up for it."
He chuckled as Sid walked forward in disbelief.
"I've been digging holes here for years, and I find she donated it all to charity? She gave it away!" Sid cried.
"Well, I suppose that about makes her the only white sheep in your family." April joked.
She and Casey laughed as Sid turned to them.
In the farmhouse, Mikey still lay on his chest, as Cath and Raph stared at him from inside, while Donnie and Elisa stood outside the window.
"They're laughing? That's nice." Mikey said. "I can't move and they're laughing."
"Relax, bro. We'll all heal up." Cath assured.
"And then we'll beat the shell outta Casey for having such a bonehead family." Raph said. "But you're first, Mikey."
He whacked Mikey's head.
"OW!" Mikey complained.
A/N: Apart from Max, I have no idea who's who among the Purple Dragons, so I just guessed who Sam and Jake were, while I made the other names up myself, adding Chico in for Elisa to take out.
I couldn't put Cath in the action due to her broken arms, as she'd have to do everything with her feet.
