Towards the end of my days as a foal I remember Master Bayek came out with some ropes in his hand. I watched as he came towards my mother Eternal Glory and Mut Herti's mother Annapolis. The two mares were grazing with each other before they looked up to see Master Bayek. They whinny before walking towards our human master. Once they got to him they looked back at both me and Mut neither of us knew what was about to happen but we walked with our mothers being led to the Master's house where our master had onced lived that looked like it was in ruins all but the stables they looked well taken care of. Turning to my mom I asked her why our Master's home looked like this all but the stables.
My mother looked at me in sorrow before she said softly using the name she gave me at birth. "Well my little Lightray there is a reason for that. I was hoping you would not have to worry about this for a while. Our master had a son a while a ago." As she was telling me this I looked towards Annapolis and Mut to see if they were listening to what my mother was saying as well I was not surprised to see that they were. My attention turned back to my mother as I vaguely remember the sad look in my master's hazel brown eyes one the day I first met him. Looking at my mother I asked. "What happened to his son, Mom?" My mother Eternal Glory looked at me as she hung her head while saying. "That we don't know all we know is it had something to do with the Master being all that is left of the Medjay." Hearing this shocked me a lot. Looking towards Master Bayek in awe as I trotted up to him and walked next to him proudly. Our master turned to look at me before he chuckled and reached out to pat the side of my neck. Bayek smiles and says lightly. "Well, look at you acting like a little partner to me."
Whinnying at our master when he called me his partner made me happy. I wanted to be his partner in his job as a Medjay. As the master put each one of us in a stall in the night he came back to me and opened my stall door before putting a rope on me, freaking out a little bit at first due to what happened in the race with my father. Bayek looked at me and patted the side of my neck to calm me before saying. "Come with me boy." As I started to walk I followed along next to him as he looked at the sky seeing it was getting dark as the first of the stars began to appear and shine lightly. We continued to walk as it got dark as I started to wonder why he brought me out here. As we came to the stone circles outside of Siwa it was well into the night. Once we got to the stone circles, Master Bayek unties my rope before he sits on the ground next to the stones. Nickering to him I lay down to roll before stopping once he starts to speak. "You remind me of my son if you were human…." Pricking my ears forward I get but before I walk over to my human master and rub my head on his back as my way of comforting him. Hearing the master chuckle before he says lightly. "I haven't even named you yet huh? Lets see what shall we call you…" I snorted at him before pawing at the ground. My mother gave me a name on my birth but how was I supposed to tell a human master that. Master Bayek watched me and chuckled before he said. "What about Partner you seemed happy when I called you that earlier." With that I bucked before I reared up. I liked the name as I tossed my head. A night in the stars is when my master gave me my name that would go down in history. As we walked back to his home I held my head up with pride. When we got back I told my mother, Mut and Annapolis what the master had named me with happiness in my eyes. My story as Partner was just beginning.
