Disclaimer: I don't own Ace Lightning. You are lucky I do not own Ace Lightning! But once I am finished conquering the world…
A/n: I've been meaning to write this for ages. And I thought it's about time I posted some more humour up.
Meet the Parents
"Mark, who… what are these people?! And what are they doing in out house?"
"Um, Mum, now's really not a good time…" Mark replied, before ducking up from behind the couch and firing a bolt of lightning from his wrist cannon. The electricity ploughed into the rat, who squealed before fading and disappearing.
"That's not a superconductor is it," said Fiona as Mark ducked back down again.
Mark just looked at her.
"I didn't think so."
"Kid, I need a hand!" shouted Ace.
"Mark, be careful!" said Fiona as Mark ran behind another piece of furniture.
Ace was trying to shoot Lady Illusion, but she kept morphing out and appearing in different parts of the room. She appeared next to the couch Fiona was hiding behind and powered up another crystal ball, ready to throw at Ace. Unfortunately she hadn't seen that Mark had moved, and was taken by surprise as he fired a blast right next to her. The bomb dropped and Lady Illusion had to morph out to avoid the explosion. She didn't bother coming back.
"Mum, are you okay?" called Mark.
The couch was enshrouded in gas from the bomb. Fiona came out coughing and waving the smoke away with her hand. "Mark, I want an explanation…" she started, cut off as she nearly walked into Ace.
Mark ran up next to them, trying desperately to thing of something to say. He couldn't. They were both just looking at each other. So Mark introduced them.
"Ah… Mum, this is my friend Ace. Ace, my Mum."
"Nice to meet you," said Ace, sticking out his hand.
Fiona looked at it, then finally shook it. "Likewise…"
Ace took back his hand, but as he did, accidentally knocked over a vase.
"Ace!" exclaimed Mark.
"Whoops…"
"Don't whoops!" shouted Fiona suddenly. "That's my vase you just knocked over!"
"Hey, it was an accident. Get over it."
"No, I will not get over it!" she continued to yell, advancing on Ace.
Ace decided it would be a good idea to move and took a step backwards.
"First you come into my house and shoot at everything…" She continued moving towards Ace.
Ace suddenly felt scared and backed away faster.
"Then you break my vase! Why should I get over it?"
"Hey, I'm sorry!" said Ace, still trying not to let Fiona catch up with him. He somehow managed to knock over a chair. One of the legs broke off.
"Get out of my house!" Fiona yelled. "Now!"
Ace turned and flew out the door.
"Mum…!" said Mark, shocked.
"You let him in!" Fiona accused, then promptly fainted.
Mark grabbed her as she fell to the floor.
"Is it safe?" said Ace, sticking his head around the door.
"Yeah, Ace, she's unconscious," said Mark sarcastically. "She can't bite you."
"It's probably just the gas from the bomb," Ace explained, staying on the other side of the door. "Hopefully she won't remember anything."
"I hope. Go on, I think she's waking up."
"Right, um, Mark?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't tell Sparx." Ace flew off.
Mark rolled his eyes.
"Mark? What happened?" asked Fiona, coming to.
"Ah, you just fainted, Mum."
"Oh. Funny, I don't remember being over here."
"You don't? Well, what do you remember?"
"I think I was coming down the stairs…" she trailed off.
"Well, that's alright then…"
"Mark," Fiona cut in growling. "What happened to my vase?!"
