Hello Fanfiction, It's time for my first new story in a while. Things have changed I am no longer a Pokeshipper. I now ship Ash with Lillie (Aureliashipping). That is the pairing for this story. AnonymousEmboar's most recent story on helped inspire this story. He is also Anonymous-Cow on Wattpad and AO3 (It will set up the reunion between Ash and Lillie much earlier than in canon.) Lillie has a nightmare (which is his story). Waking up in a cold sweat, she leaves the search for her father with Snowy. She goes to Pallet Town to speak to Ash. This will take place, right before Nightfall? Nightmares! in Pokemon Journeys. It will be a retelling of Journeys with Aureliashipping. If the summary of the nightmare sounds enjoyable check it out. It was NOT my cup of tea. With that out of the way: Let's get started.

Chapter 1: A Nightmare leads to Romance

It was a peaceful night in the Galar region. Lusamine Aether and her son Gladion were sleeping after a long day of searching for Mohn: Gladion's father and Husand of Lusamine. They had no luck finding him so they decided to call it a day. Both were sleeping peacefully. That was not the case for Lillie Aether.

Lillie was having a horrible dream. It had started well. She had found her dad, and reunited with Ash. They had confessed their feelings for each other and even had sex. (OH MY GOD Lillie thought to herself embarrassed.) Unfortunately, things took a terrible turn. Ash revealed that Mohn was his dad. Lillie was horrified once that was revealed. She was even more horrified when she and Ash were arrested, tried, and sentenced to death for incest. ("WE HAD NO CLUE UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE," Lillie cried.) She was horrified that almost no one came to their defense. She had to watch as Snowy and all of Ash's Pokemon minus Pikachu and Dragonite were executed. She watched as Team Rocket broke Ash out of prison and saw that Pikachu abandoned him. She watched as her counterpart gave birth to triplets, then died right after she named them. The worst part: the children were raised by Gladion and two of Ash's friends to kill Ash, under the guise that Ash had raped and left her.

"NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." Lillie woke up sweating horribly. It was midnight. "Oh my god was that the future? It couldn't have been. I need to find Ash." Lillie recalled Snowy, her Alolan Vulpix, and Magearna, and called out her ride Pokemon Altaria. She rode Altaria to an airport and bought a ticket to Kanto. In 6 hours Lillie arrived in Vermilion City. She knew Ash was an assistant to Professor Cerise. She decided to write a letter just in case she missed Ash. 2 hours later she finished the letter and then walked to The Cerise Laboratory.

Back in the Galar region, Lusamine and Gladion had woken up at 8:30 AM. they were stunned that Lillie was nowhere to be seen. "Mother why did Lillie leave and where would she go?"

Lusamine shook her head. "I don't know Son." She looked to the sky. "Lillie, Where are you?"

Lillie knocked on the door of the lab and was greeted by Chloe and her Eevee. "Hi, I'm looking for Ash Ketchum."

"Oh, I'm so sorry He and Goh are away on a research project." Lillie was depressed that she had missed him.

"Can you please give this letter and let him know I will be waiting in Pallet Town." Chloe nodded and Lillie left mounting Altaria, and she arrived in Ash's hometown 20 minutes later. 10 Minutes later Lillie arrived at Ash's house knocking on the door.

2 minutes later Delia answered the door stunned at the sight of who was there. "Lillie? I thought you and your family were searching for your dad."

Lillie sighed "Mrs. Ketchum I was hoping to talk to Ash. I left a letter to tell him to meet me here." Delia noticed Lillie's scared and depressed tone. Can I stay here till he shows up?

Delia nodded, "Of course, dear come in I'll make some tea." Lillie thanked her and followed Ash's mother inside shutting the door behind her.

It was 6 PM when Ash and Goh arrived at The Cerise Laboratory after a long day of learning about Falinks. "Ash There's a letter for you," Chloe rushed out and handed him the letter. Ash took the letter, thanked Chloe, and opened it Goh tried to read it but Chloe grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "It's for Ash only."

Dear Ash,

I need to talk to you it is a matter of most importance. Please meet me at your house, ASAP

from your classmate,

Lillie

PS Please come alone

Ash turned to Goh and Chloe. "Something has come up. I need to go home for the night. Goh nodded in understanding.

Chloe was confused. That's weird the person who came and looked for Ash was a girl I never knew. Something big is going on.

It was 7 PM when Ash's Dragonite landed at Ash's house. Returning his affectionate dragon-type, he opened the door just to receive a hug from a crying Lillie. "Lillie what happened," Ash ask concerned. It took ten minutes for Lillie to stop crying. "Lillie?"

Lillie looked at Pikachu. "Pikachu could you let me Mrs. Ketchum and Ash talk alone. Pikachu nodded understanding that this must be important for Lillie to ask such a thing. He headed to Ash's bedroom.

Lillie took a deep breath and explained the nightmare. Ash and Delia's moods worsened as Lillie told them more and more about what happened in the nightmare.

Delia was furious. Why didn't my counterpart in the dream help? Or Brock's? or Misty's? I need to tell Ash about his father's sacrifice. They can't live in fear of love. Delia cleared her throat gaining Ash and Lillie's attention.

"Ash Lillie, I can tell you that I never met Mohn Aether. Ash's father is a man named Red Ketchum." Ash looked to his mother ready to interrupt but Delia stopped him. "The reason that he has not been around at all is that he died shortly after you were born." Ash and Lillie's eyes widened. Delia went on to explain how he died saving Pacificlog Town from a wave caused by Kyogre being controlled by Madame Boss (the head of Team Rocket at the time). "Red saved the town, freed Kyorge, and Killed Madame Boss, but he died from aura exhaustion." Delia finished her story.

Lillie was tearing up, "so then-"

Delia smiled, "Yes it was just a nightmare you had dear, nothing more. You two are free to date each other just don't make me a grandmother too soon." Lillie and Ash were Scarlet.

" MOM\MRS. KETCHUM!" Delia was chuckling. I couldn't resist teasing them. Delia left allowing tho two teens to talk. Lillie admitted she was following Ash's progress while she searched for her father. Soon before they knew it it was 10:30 PM.

Lillie yawned, "I'm so tired. I haven't had much sleep since the nightmare." Ash nodded in understanding.

"Come on Lillie you can sleep in my room."

Lillie blushed crimson. "Ash could you stay with me tonight just in case the nightmare returns." Ash nodded and led Lillie to his room. Pikachu came over to the pair.

"Pikachu Lillie is gonna be sleeping in here with us. She has had a rough couple of nights' sleep due to horrible nightmares. It's our job to help keep them away."

Pikachu Pika-Pi chu Pika (Understood Ash. Let's do this!)

Pikachu jumped onto Lillie's shoulder. Lillie rubbed Pikachu's cheek. "Thanks, Pikachu." Pikachu shook his head with a no-problem gesture.

After Ash and Lillie changed into pajamas, Ash got into his bed, Lillie following suit. Lillie released Snowy and explained the situation. Snowy nodded and curled into a sleeping position on her Mother/Trainer's chest. Soon Lillie was asleep. Ash put his arms around her. "Lillie I promise you, nothing will happen to you." Lillie smiled in her sleep. Pikachu took a position laying next to Snowy and was soon asleep as well, with Ash following soon after.

The Next Morning

Lillie was the first to wake up checking the time she saw it was 8:30 AM. "Thank goodness no nightmares." Snowy woke up and saw her Mother was calm and not scared or sleep-deprived.

"Morning Snowy, let's wake up Ash and Pikachu but gently." Ten minutes later Ash and Pikachu were up and all four went downstairs to see Delia making breakfast.

"Morning all I take it by the peaceful look on your face Lillie that there were no Nightmares."

Lillie nodded and the 3 humans and 2 Pokemon ate breakfast. After they finished Ash turned to Lillie.

"So Lillie would you like to stay and cheer me on for the World Coronation series."

Lillie nodded her head yes, and after cleaning up breakfast. Ash and Lillie were dressed and Ash released Dragonite who promptly hugged the new couple. "Next stop The Cerise Laboratory," Ash called out after helping Lillie on the Dragonoite's back.

Delia smiled as the new couple disappeared. "If you were here Red you would be proud of Ash."
