Season I Prologue: Early Future
The scene opens upon a busy street of a big city, with commerce being as busy as one would imagine such a place to be. Yet, even in its modernization, up close, there's distinct feeling of advancement, with the neon, holographic signs and wheelless vehicles showing this to be a time unlike any other in our current age.
Even more curious is the citizenry as there are definitely human beings here, but at the same time, some citizens have more distinct appearances, which includes the likes of elves, dwarves, various beast people like centaurs, all looking to be on the Earthen variety, and others seem to include those that clearly look alien, making a first visitor to such a world to wonder "where the hell did I end up?" Yet, for such people, it's as normal as a simple day to the grocery market.
The setting then switches to a lab of pure white that looks almost iPod in just how clean and shining it is, and standing there are several men and women of varying species clearly as they all appear to be wearing uniforms that appear futuristic, yet at the same time, still maintain a classic feel.
A dwarf with red hair and beard wearing such a uniform approaches a human woman with brown, elegant, short hair and he says, "Dr. Andromeda, we have those results on that last test."
The dwarf presents the women with a clear electronic pad those shows her various numbers and graphics and she says, "I see. Thank you, Gorbi. Hopefully, we'll have gathered more information. Dr. Jackson!"
"Yes, Dr. Andromeda?" asks what looks to be an animated skeleton in uniform with a male voice as he goes up to the woman, and she asks, "How were those other numbers on that last artifact we found?"
"Unfortunately, we only had about 65.81% success rate on energy conversion and manipulation." says Dr. Jackson. "Of course, that was only in the Alpha stage, so looking at these new results, we might have better luck on seeing if we can delve deeper into the studies of Atlantean biotech."
"I see. Let's make a second attempt, but this time, using the variables Dr. Paxton just presented before me." says Dr. Andromeda.
"Yes, ma'am." says Dr. Jackson before he heads back to his station.
"Casey!" says Dr. Andromeda, and a young man in uniform with the same color as Dr. Andromeda comes up to her and says, "Yes, Mom?"
"Think you can handle another round of seeing if you can handle some piloting of our new series of DAEMONs based on our current research?" asks Dr. Andromeda.
"Hey, anything to get my sister's imagination to fire on all cylinders yet again!" says Casey. "I hope these new series of them will go well. Naturally, it's hard to imagine our research being used for war since you always wanted to know Atlantean tech more for ways to benefit all races in this world than causing destruction."
"Hey, your lips to El's ears." says Dr. Andromeda. "But even the Atlanteans fought in wars apparently, as if the blueprints we've retrieved didn't show that enough. And besides that, tensions have also been pretty high ever since that Darlok renegade faction caused that ruckus on that UGA station in the Phalanx system. I just hope the Darlok leader is planning on offering his own form of cleanup on this mess."
"I understand, mom." says Casey. "And besides, when you have a rebel faction of shapeshifters, things would get more hectic."
"Now you're catching on, Son." says Dr. Andromeda. "Anyway, let's get everything prepped up."
"Of course." says Casey.
"Excuse me, Dr. Andromeda?" asks a voice, getting the doctor and her son to see what looks to be some kind of alien creature with yellow skin, a big cranium with a glowing spot in the center, long fingers, looking a little short, and wearing a similar uniform, all while holding a phone.
"Yes, Dr. Phasba? Something the matter?" asks Dr. Andromeda.
"Your other son is on the phone." says Dr. Phasba.
"Which one?" asks Dr. Andromeda, and Dr. Phasba says, "The vampire, ma'am."
"Oh, let me talk to him." says Dr. Andromeda.
Dr. Phasba hands over the phone, and Dr. Andromeda says, "Hey, Ben. Uh, you are Ben right now, right?"
A voice of a guy chuckles and says, "Yes, Mom, I am. Sorry if I caught you at a bad time."
"Well, we ARE about to do some serious experimenting, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see the results." says Dr. Andromeda. "Let's just say your sister will be happy about it, though Zaccur is another deal."
"I figure as much when it comes to either of them." says Ben. "I trust big brother will be taking part in it."
"Very astute as always of you." says Dr. Andromeda. "So, what are you up to right now?"
The scene changes to an overview of a city with a pretty picturesque sky, and sitting on the edge of a building in a kneeling position is a young man with sky blue, stylish hair with matching eyebrows and iceberg blue eyes, wearing a blue denim jacket with a hannya mask on the back with a purple t-shirt underneath that seems to have a yin-yang made of a white tiger going up with a black turtle in its only visible eye on the man's right side and a blue dragon on the man's left side going down with a red bird in its only visible eye, all while a gold kirin-like creature holds the yin-yang in its claws, a pair of blue jeans with a red dragon patch on the back pocket on the man's right side, designer tennis shoes, and has a sword in scabbard lashed to his back.
The man says, "I'm currently on Tethys right now, taking up a job for the boss man himself."
"Tethys... Tethys... That's one of the moons of Saturn, right?" asks Dr. Andromeda's voice. "If memory serves me right, I think that moon was terraformed and culturized by many people from the Southeastern part of the United States, correct?"
"On the nose, Mom." says the man with a smile, showing his fangs. "Right on the nose."
"I guess you want to see about bringing me something after you get done with your mission, right?" asks Dr. Andromeda. "If you could, see about getting me some barbecue sauce that's local there, because I think Amanda said she wanted some high quality sauce when it comes to doing some of her own barbecuing."
"Well, hey, better that my sister cooks than I do." says Ben. "With my skills, I'd just burn water, and I don't think Casey and Zaccur were all that better, though my little brother does show a bit more talent."
"Don't downplay yourself too much, and besides, you know your big brother is a good baker." says Dr. Andromeda. "And knowing you, you got a serious sweet tooth outside of your need for blood and souls."
"Guilty as charged." says Ben.
Back in the lab, Dr. Jackson says, "Dr. Andromeda! I think we're all set!"
"Okay, Miguel! I'll be there soon!" says Dr. Andromeda. "Well, skeleton man needs me for my expertise! You just be careful on your mission; I know you can regenerate from just about anything, but still... There's going to come a day."
"I know, Mom. I know." says Ben as the scene goes back to a shot of him. "Take care of everything, and tell Casey I wish him the best in your current research and endeavor."
"You bet. Love you, sweetie!" says Dr. Andromeda.
"Love you, too, Mom." says Ben before he hangs up the call on his cell phone.
Soon, a gray and black tabby cat appears next to Ben, and starts to talk, saying, "So, your mom doing okay, Master?"
"Well, she sounds healthy enough to where she seems to be in a good mood, so I'd think so." says Ben.
Suddenly, a police bulletin goes out that Ben is able to pick up with his ear as it says, "All officers. The fugitives have been sighted. They are piloting two DAEMONs each, one colored dark blue and white, and the other is red with yellow trim. The fugitives, for those who have forgotten, are a male Therianthrope-species Eldritch of the Werewolf class and the other is a female Mrrshan. The suspects are said to be highly dangerous and incredibly skilled. They're currently going past Teragoth Street, and are coming near the Krispy Kreme."
"Typical officers and their donut shops." says the cat.
"Yeah, but no time to focus on that now; the targets should be coming down our way." says Ben. He then puts a finger the side of his head closest to one of his eyes, and says, "EVA, turn on, and locate our bozos!"
"Roger that, Master Andromeda." says a female voice, and suddenly, over Ben's eyes, a computer display pops up, soon scanning the area of all life forms, until it eventually makes a lock on to two mechanical devices, and the voice says, "I've located two DAEMONs that are of the colors the officer mentioned, and they're moving fast. They will be here in 54 seconds."
"Right." says Ben. "Come on, Isaac, let's go greet them! I just hope the others are ready themselves."
"Give me a good form to take them down with!" says Isaac.
"Righto!" says Ben as he immediately changes Isaac to a red, orange and gold humanoid phoenix with three tails and a slender frame. "Let's do this!"
Ben immediately takes off in the air like Superman and the cat that's now a humanoid bird follows him.
Meanwhile, two giant humanoid robots of an artful yet practical design of the colors mentioned are flying as fast as possible to avoid other humanoid robots that have a more police feel to them.
In one of the the robots, a female, alien-looking cat woman says, "Damnit all to the hells! We just can't lose these guys!"
In the other, a man with dark brown hair says, "Well, I guess we'll just have to use our get-out-of-jail free card!"
The giant robot that is dark blue and white releases several drones that seem to spark with purple energy.
"Are those... EMP Mines!?" asks a voice in one of the police robots.
However, before the drones can get far, an energy projectile hits the drones, forcing them back to the two fleeing giant robots where they stick to them.
"What the shit!?" asks the man. "Someone just magnetized our mines back on us!"
"What happened?" asks a police office as he sees this go on, and then hears a calm, male voice go, "I hope we're not too late."
The officer looks to see mounted on top of a building is another giant robot, this one being mainly white with parts of black, and bearing a black star on the chest, as it is in a kneeling position with a sniper rifle.
The officer gets a reassured smile and says, "Just in time, Black Star Coven."
Inside the same giant robot, a man mainly wearing a white outfit with long black hair smiles and says, "Leave the rest to us, but keep your own guard up. We'll let you know when you can properly make your move."
"Roger that." says the officer's voice.
"Julie, dear, you and Kikyo ready with that surprise barricade?" asks the same man.
"All set to go, Jethro!" says a female voice that sounds to belong to a black woman.
In another part of the town, two more giant robots are there, one that is green and black and the other that is purple and navy blue, both also each having a black star on their chest.
"More than likely, our two fugitives probably got their own weapons that were returned to them deactivated, but we've got more than one way to neuter a dog and cat." says a black woman with long, green hair.
"And they're coming this way." says another female voice, this one just slightly more high pitched than the black woman's. "Let's cloak so they don't expect our trap."
Both of those giant robots then go completely intangible.
Soon, the two fugitives approach, but as they begin to pass by, their robots begin to malfunction and sputter.
"Huh? What-What's going on!?" asks the cat woman.
"I think we've been set up!" says the man angrily.
As Ben and Isaac are flying through the air, Ben gets a voice of a young yet wise sounding voice saying, "Ben, time to strike! Their fugitives' DAEMONs are malfunctioning, so try to take them out without causing too much damage!"
"Loud and clear, Aiden!" says Ben. "Isaac, hang back just a bit! I'm going to go blast the suckers out of the air!"
"Right!" says Isaac.
Ben flies at sonic speed while Isaac flies forward, just sticking behind enough.
Back to the two fugitives, they're quickly losing control of their robots as the cat woman says, "No, no, no, this can't happen right now! We're so close!"
"I already have an idea who would be helping the local fuzz on this Hick Kingdom of a moon!" says the man. "That do-gooder Coven of Moroi!"
Suddenly, both feel massive impacts as their giant robots are sent high into the sky.
"And I think their muscle is here! Reena! Time to eject and get down and dirty!" says the man.
Soon, both eject out of their giant robots, and Ben says, "Isaac! Destroy those DAEMONs!"
"Here comes a big one!" says Isaac as he lights his wings up, and soon flying out of wings to send the two DAEMONs into the sky is a massive meteor, exploding as it gets far enough.
Seeing their DAEMONs blasted apart, the two look on with fear but also considerable anger.
"That's it! If I'm going down, I won't be going down a coward!" says the man.
The man gets out of his restraints, and soon, transforms into a humanoid wolf with black fur and red eyes as shoots for the road, and the cat woman follows him, herself zipping from building to building with a phase out ability, both landing on the ground, with the werewolf landing hard enough to leave an impact.
"I should have known humanitarian vampires such as you all would be here to claim what we got." says the werewolf.
Ben lands before the two and says, "Well, what can I say? Some of us are just too nice to even want to be bad guys. After all, what has it accomplished for the both of you, considering your predicament!?"
The werewolf roars, charging at Ben at blinding speed, but the blue haired man stands fast as he unsheathes his sword, and says, "Ken no Setsu!"
Soon, the werewolf finds himself surrounded by mist, and soon hitting him left and right are a barrage of sword slashes, cutting him like a hurricane of blade, blood going everywhere. Ben appears on the side of the werewolf, who then slumps down as Ben sheathes his sword again.
The werewolf then laughs and says, "Did you really think a simple technique would finish me off!?"
The werewolf's wounds heal, and he makes another charge for Ben, who then just smirks and balls his right hand into a fist, bolts of yellow lightning coming from it.
As the werewolf attempts to get even close to Ben, he's struck down by a bolt of yellow lightning.
"Of course not." says Ben. "But you should already know my reputation quite well."
The werewolf weakly looks up to see there next to Ben, looking at him furious is a giant gold lion with its mane and other parts of hair made of that same yellow electricity while having red eyes and a mask-like structure over them, it roaring angrily at the werewolf.
"Damn... You..." says the werewolf before he passes out.
Ben then looks towards the cat woman who looks hunched over and he says, "Alright, jigs up! Time to be good scumbags and surrender!"
"AS IF!" shouts the cat woman, and suddenly explodes outward with a burst of fuchsia energy that pushes Ben back.
"Well, crap. She went and did it." says Ben with a bit of a snarl, yet not seeming too surprised.
The cat woman stands up slowly, and faces Ben, saying in a suddenly deeper voice, "You know this artifact I possess is know for dangerous high energy output!" The cat woman holds up the artifact in question being a diamond shaped talisman with a strange language written on the sides, and fuchsia crystal in the center. "With the Gem of Kalaris, I have enough magic power to stand up to the likes of your human world mages! Now leave, or I will reduce this whole moon to ash!"
"Yeah, you may be real powerful right now, but I don't think you ever read the fine print behind that artifact!" says Ben. "And if you don't drop it right away, you're about to experience some real hard knocks, and not from me or my allies!"
"You're lying!" says the cat woman.
"Hey, which planet is the one where magic originated from!?" asks Ben. "And the mage who created that artifact!?"
Suddenly, without realizing the situation, the woman seizes up, and the power goes out of control, her body going completely stiff, and with a sudden sharp sensation, screams at the top of her lungs as the power seeps into every orifice of her body, the pain unimaginable.
"I told you." says Ben. "Welp, time to end this malarkey!"
Ben readies his sword again, and then getting into a stance, he eventually dashes forward with the speed of Hermes, and shouts, "Kyozetsu Suru Ken!"
The blade of the sword changes to be that of an ethereal dark blue and white sword that he then slashes through the cat woman with, but rather than cutting her, the magic energy going into her begins to die down, and the talisman goes dormant while the cat woman goes unconscious and collapses.
As everything calms down, the other robots join with Ben, and coming out are the same man and woman from before, along with another being a Caucasian man with silver hair and the other Oriental woman with purple hair in a ponytail.
"Thank goodness, that's over." says the Oriental woman.
"Good job, Ben!" says the man with silver hair.
Isaac goes to join Ben, who then changes the humanoid phoenix back to a simple tabby cat. The people in the square then begin to cheer the group on stopping the calamity.
The police officer exits his DAEMON and says, "Thanks, y'all! We could'nae done it without your help!"
"Hey, all in a day's work for us!" says the man with silver hair. "We'll secure the Gem of Kalaris, and give it back to Archimedes. I trust you guys can handle these two?"
"No problem, Mr. Tepes!" says the police office. "Alright, boys! Round up these two criminals, and read'em their rights, if they can even hear them!"
As everything settles down, the camera focuses on the four people and cat cleaning up, and Ben's voice goes in a first person narrative, "This... Is our world. A pretty wild beginning that happened here, right? Heh! My friends, you have NO idea what you're in for. For me and my Coven, this is more or less an average day at the office for us, and if you stick around long enough, the story of how everything came to this and where it's going to be going will no doubt blow your mind. Hope you wore the brown pants."
