Hermione layed in the corner broken. Her hair was more messy then usual, her clothes were torn, and her face was covered in blood and bruises. He looked at her with his cold silver eyes and spat at the ground near her.
"Filthy Mudblood." He called her with a cold, flat tone. He openned the door and left.
Hermione layed in a soft warm bed wishing her eyes would never open, but they ignored her pleas and she looked at the room around her. She was lying in a place she'd never seen before. The walls were a pale green and only one picture was hanging. She began to stand up, but her body was too weak to even let her try again. The only door in the small room began to open and Hermione held her breath, fearing for the worst.
"Hermione?" Said a calm, gentle voice.
"Yes?"
"You are awake then, I thought I heard movements." Remus Lupin walked through the door and Hermione's face lit up. She was happy to see someone that she knew and could trust. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "You might be wondering why you are here. I found you at the Leaky Cauldron last night. A man had brought you downstairs after we all heard screaming from upstairs. I got in contact with Professor Dumbledore and he told me to bring you to my house immediately and he would be here in the morning. Are you all right?"
Hermione looked down at her hands. She had been trying to suppress the encounter of the night before out of her head, but it finally caught up to her. Tears began to fall off of her swollen cheeks. Remus began to wipe the tears away and Hermione moved her face away. He immediately regretted trying to touch her. He knew that she was going through a lot and that the male species wasn't looking too pleasant through her young, innocent eyes.
"Remus, I'm sorry, I shouldn't be angry with you. You aren't the one who did this to me, you didn't…" Her voice trailed off.
"Hermione, who…who did?"
"Draco Malfoy."
