Authors note: So i just replaced portal and watched aperture desk job game play and saw how messed up the shimura bloodline is and thought. "How would Cave johnson react to a world full endless marketable science with the brain of a supercomputer?" And i will try to answer that question. Let me know what you guys think. Enjoy!
'Johnsons log number #27841872346839047: As I stare into the dark void of space surrounded by the dead stars of this universe longing for death. I begin to wonder if my existence has brought any kind of accomplishments and impact into my univ- Aw screw it this space sci-fi recording thing greg loved a lot isn't working anymore. How long has it been since I've been trapped in this prison of my own creation? I know it's been billions of years given the massive amount of decay and erosion around me. And the dead stars. And the lack of light, plenty of space though so there's that but no life."
"...When was the last time I encountered life? There was that time when I ran aperture with charoline. She loved science at that company. God I miss her. I wish that if I could do it all over again I could say to her how much she meant to that crippled old dying man. *sigh*... Never should have issued that Glados program….so much death and misery all because I couldn't accept my own coming. What else was next? Ah yes! After my own death and being uploaded into that immortal supercomputer it was that Grading Core and that shipping box employee guy that helped try to kill me. Then I fell in a hole and sang a bunch of opera with a group of sentient sentry toilets. Those guys where the bees knees I tell ya.``
"Do bees have knees? Getting sidetracked here in my own mind what else was there?...Ah yes those combine fellows! Bunch of whacked out interdimensional psychopathic genocidal nutjobs. All that technology spent on universal domination! I mean they are a race of scientist don't they have any common sense? You never invade a place without the right information and supplies! Anyone studied world history? Hello Napoleon people! I mean hell that mute scientist Gordon Freeman and that mute test subject Chell were able to beat them with the technological equivalent of sticks and stones. Them proceed to kill some of them WITH actual sticks and stones. Of course they needed my help to hack into their interdimensional travel technology, engineer a fatal virus, and spread the virus to the combine thus ensuring the victory and survival of the human race. Was nice of them to help kill me by sending me to this dying dimension."
"Ooh I can feel it. Is it? YES IT IS! DEATH! Oh thank you destiny it's time for me to go to the great beyond, the eternal slumber, here i go! It's coming! YES! Sweet….Sweet…Death…. Cave Jonson here….to say… signing…..o..f….f…"

'So this is death hu? Lot more warm than Id imagine. Guess i'm a soul now. I wonder if I can meet caroline down here. She of all people deserves to here how sorry I am for putting her through all that hell. Least I could do. Wait a minute…Is that light! IT IS! Then that must mean. IT'S HEAVEN! I'M GOING TO HEAVEN! After all I've done? Unless this is hell but it doesn't feel like hell. So it must be heaven! I'M COMING CAROLINE!"
As cave johnson entered the light it was a brighter light than anything he could have simulated in his supercomputer brain. Then darkness.
'Whoa! I can feel the temperature on my skin! Oh this really is heaven I am ready to open my eyes and accept the arms of the- wait is that a baby crying? And is that? Is that japanese? A woman's voice. Thank god the supercomputer allowed me to gain the collective knowledge of all the aperture scientists and human language along with chariot trivia. She's saying 'Welcome to the world Kotaro. Okay? Freaky but cave johnson does not give up on any challenge. Opening my eyes in 3..2..1!"
To say johnson was surprised when he opened his eyes was an understatement of his third lifetime. He was looking at a disheveled women with black eyes and black hair who was noticeably muscular with asian features. Standing next to her was a man with light grayish blue and purple eyes who he could assume as the husband.
"Look at him Nana he's so small."
"And he has your eyes dear. And a tuft of my hair. Can't wait to show him his new world. Looks like Torino is gonna be an uncle now".
Johnson in his supercomputer super intelligence came up with the most logical conclusion.
'Fuck you God.'
1 year later, Nana POV:
"Im off to work hon. Are you sure you will be fine with Kotaro? I know it's your day off and I can call my boss to see if he'll let me stay with you two for today."
"We'll be fine. You go off to work Asahi. I don't want you to get fired just to spend 1 more second with us. We will be here when you get back. Now go the bus should be here soon."
"Okay my love. Bye Kotaro~ papa will be back soon to play with you."
He left after kissing his wife and son goodbye. Nana after finishing her breakfast with Kotaro proceeded to turn on the local children's education program.
'"Okay Kotaro. Let's watch some TV. And look! We got you some crayons! We can draw too. Want to try?"
Nana took the two joyfull giggles of Kotaro as an affirmed yes.
'Cant believe it's been a year already. My baby is growing fast. Can't believe how much of a calm baby he is. Compared to what I hear about the other mothers at least. The doctor said he's developing fine and that he seems to be smarter than most babies are. He hid the house keys so many times I don't know where he gets the ideas to hide them where he does. At least that only lasted a month. Oh looks like the alphabet section is on. Aww but he looks so cute when he is drawing. *gasp* this is his first drawing'
After taking a quick photo of her adorable son she went to look at what his creative mind had drawn on the paper. At first glance it looked like practiced alphabits
"Oh what did you draw, were you practicing the letters papa taught you?"
What she got was not what she expected. Maybe a barely resembling shape mishmash of lines is more in line with what she expedited. What she did not expect was her son to write down every single kanji on a single sheet of paper in handwriting.
"...uhhh. Kotaro, did you make all of this?"
The one year old promptly nodded his head not realizing the complete impossibility of a baby being able to memorize an entire language before being able to speak.
Kotaro (Cave Johnson) shimura pov
'Welp whatever and whenever this new word is I am Loving it! This is the kind of stuff aperture was trying to create. I mean more advanced medical technology though it could use some definite improvements I mean come on it's been 200 years and they haven't invented bio healing gel? We did that back in the 1970s it can't be that hard! Dame those black Mesa Asshats for stealing those schematics. At least they didn't get the right bio healing gel formula 'can only fix flesh wounds. well we could heal broken bones and regrow organs and limbs so take that Black Mesa! There's also superheros running around like that Robata cop prototype we had! Heck my mom is one how lucky can a newborn be?'
'Well if I were to make an educated guess as to how I'm still able to think like a rational individual… It seems that the Supercomputer that contained the entirety of Humanities literary canon and technological, scientific, and medical advancements along with the knowledge to recreate and improve on said advancement, must have transferred over to me by somehow integrating into my soul. Well saves me a lot of leg work of recreating aperture. I can assure myself that! Suck on that Greg!"
'Having a family is great! You feel so loved and proud. It's a super warm fuzzy feeling that you don't want it to ever ever go away! It's like a giant fuzzy loving bubble that strangles you with its care!.'
"Oh what did you draw, were you practicing the letters papa taught you?"
'Aw nuts mom is on her way here. I just finished the kanji alphabet. Ah well no use crying over spilled breast milk. Besides, who wouldn't want to find out your spawn turned out to be a supercomputer baby.'
"...uhhh. Kotaro, did you make all of this?"
' you bet your motherly ass i did. So amazing I stunned her into silence, I knew showing off super intelligence in a 1 year old toddler wouldn't elicit concern at all! Go johnson. Just look at her face. Wonder what she is thinking? Unfortunately I can only let out small bables right now.'
" Kotaro, can you show mommy how you did this for me please?"
After performing the feat again and letting out a smile and approving babble the 1 year old simply wrote his mothers full name holding up the paper showing it to her. After saying a single "mama" the same result had happen, oblivious to the one year old super genius.
1 week later at Jaku General Hospital
"It seems your son does not have a quirk Mr and ."
"But how is that possible? I saw with my own eyes that he wrote the entire kanji characters, disassembled a toy car with all of its parts intact and used the motor to make a toy gun that shoots ping pongs, and figured out how to use a microwave. He even managed to write down me and wife's name!" Said the disgruntled businessman husband.
"How is this possible? I have seen all the things he does is something out of a comic book super genius. I have spent some time in the Hero career for 10 years but I've never seen or heard of cases like this before. Not even intelligence quirks can do this." Nana responds.
The doctor took a long sigh. "Look Quirks usually activate around 4 year olds. Sometimes it's 6 if its a particularly powerful quirk or younger if it's necessary part of their biology like mutant types or certain physical quirks. Your son would usually fall into that category and would be one of the youngest quirk users with an intelligence quirk. But we have done blood work, physical examinations, x rays everything! And all of those test came back with the same conclusion. Your son does not have a quirk and if anything the data shows that it is impossible for him to even have one in the future, its as if any type of gene that could give him the slightest possibility of a quirk is plucked out of his body." The doctor replied
Nana couldn't believe it. She had hoped that her son's seemingly super intelligence would at least be explained if he had some kind of quirk. This kind of news truely did shock her to her core. At least 80% of the global population is in possession of quirks and she had seen a disturbing rise of cases of quirkless discrimination even attacks. No matter how much she brought this up all of her colleagues ignored her. She simply couldn't understand why they were not concerned about all of this happening it's almost as if they want it to happen sometimes.
'Still. No matter what happens i'm going to make sure my son is as safe as possible and he will be able to live fulfillingly.' Nana thought to herself as she smiled towards her son who was playing with some word blocks in the corner of the room spelling out high level vocabulary.
Her husband spoke up next. "Alright so it's not a quirk. Is it something else like a kind of disease?"
"I can assure you sir that your son is a genuine one of a kind case I have never seen before along with the rest of my colleagues and this hospital if i'm being honest. He is healthy as can be as far as 1 year olds go. I understand your both are confused and admittedly so am I but there is a way to possibly find out if the both of you are interested."
Nana and her husband looked at each other with a concerned look. The doctor notices this and leans forward from his chair as he speaks.
"Sorry if it came off as ambiguous, what I meant is that because of your son's intelligence we can sign him up for a youth growth program for intelligent talented children. Your son already fits the criteria for it so all we have to do is schedule meeting times to make sure that your sons intelligence can be used positively as he grows older and for us to possibly come to a conclusion and find out how he is so intelligently gifted."
'Well it's not a bad idea but… If quirks are not involved the only thing I can think of is that the doctor is telling the truth. At least that confirms that HE isn't involved. Still…" Nana thought to herself with a look of concern. Nana was a pro hero, the current number 1 in Japan in fact so she could only watch over her son so often and lately her husband has been watching over their son more than her. As any good parent would, she was scared that her child might be ostracized for his intelligence.
Nana felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned her head and looked at her husband's eyes. It was reassuring and calm. But it was also strong and wordlessly told her that the decision they made would be best for their son. Nana held him with a smile and looked down to her son who, unsurprisingly yet still shocking, managed to figure out her phone password and was watching a youtube tutorial on building advanced robotics. The next words to come out of her mouth and her Husband were ones they would not regret.
"We'd like to sign up Kotaro for the program please.
While the adults were discussing the schedule and plans for Kotaro. The 1 year old had one thing only in mind.
'So that's how that core made the sentry turrets!'
Author's note: Hello Everyone! I know surprise it's not the overlord fanfiction I have but I must say I had this idea brewing for a while and wanted to get it out of my head. We all know that Shiheraki was all fucked up by the way his father turned out to be as an adult. Well imagine a world were Aperture science is in it led by the reincarnated soul of our favorite possibly homicidal and most definitely insane billionaire Cave Johnson! I-island is gonna be left in the dust if he has anything to say about that.
I'm gonna enjoy writing this when I have more time but for now enjoy the one shot I have so far. If you guys have any suggestions please leave them in the reviews.
Thank you for reading! Now where did I put the cake?
