Chapter 1: Family Bonds(Pidge's POV)
Pidge rushes to the bridge, ecstatic. She has great news about where her family is. Not that she doesn't like the other paladins and believes to be her second family, but well…Information has led her to believe that her brother Matt is one of the Freedom Fighters fighting in the Coalition that Voltron helped establish.
Hopefully she would be allowed to follow the trail left by Matt and find out exactly where he is. It has been a year and too many months without her brother and her dad.
She knows that it would be easier to find her dad, as he would likely be in charge of scientific Galra stuff. But despite that, she hasn't had many breakthroughs in finding him. Her brother was the easiest, and she has looked on the records of that ship but there was no Samuel Holt to find.
Going through the records she downloaded was tough. As the Galra language is different from Altea's language. Although in her research she kept coming across something called the common language, a language that every planet studies as it is more useful than learning multiple languages or having a translator.
Pidge shakes her head, this isn't the time to go off on mind tangents thinking about everything. She has to focus on recusing her brother and then finding her dad.
Walking into the bridge she notices that Marinette and Shiro are talking. Nervous she is interrupting something she proceeds forward with caution.
"A Voltron Show!? Our purpose isn't to entertain the universe, it's to save it!" Marinette agures.
"But it would help bring hope to the universe! Just think of how many planets we could get to join us if we went on tour!"
"The planets shouldn't join us because of a speech with pretty words, they should join us because of our actions!"
"Excuse me." They both turn to look at her, Marinette in concern whereas Shiro looks annoyed.
"What is it Pidge? Is something wrong?" Marinette asks, her tone conveying general concern. It's weird to think about, but Marinette seems to be the mother or aunt to this family. She always takes concerns seriously and she did mend her bond with Allura when Allura thought that she wasn't being heard.
Shiro seems like the Dad, the glue that keeps the family together, and Allura also seems quite motherly. She mentally slaps herself, this isn't the time to put your found family into roles.
"I would like to search for my brother. I have found evidence of his whereabouts."
Marinette's frown turns into a smile, "You have my permission. Did you find anything on your father?"
Pidge shakes her head, "Not yet. I hope to find him, but it seems a little more difficult, like he's an important person to the Galra and that they don't want anybody to find out about his existence."
"Well good luck." She then winks, "In both fields. I'll tell Hunk to prepare some food for your trip. After all, we don't know how long it will be."
"Shouldn't one of us go with her! Besides what if the Galra attack us and we need the Green Lion! You aren't taking this seriously!"Shiro shouts, angery.
Marinette glares at him, " Family is important and Pidge has deserved to go to find her family. She works hard for us as she is the creative genius and inventor of gadgets, like the Red Gas stick. Besides if the Galra attack we have my Lucky Charm to use if the fight becomes tough."
"But Pidge can't leave us! We have to have all the paladins for this Coalition meeting…"
"No we don't. We decided that Allura would lead most of the meetings and that we'd all be standing by in the room with our bayards conveniently on our outfits, Shiro. So I don't think Pidge leaving will be an issue. Pidge, go to Hunk and tell him and have him prepare some food. Meanwhile I think me and Shiro still need to talk."
Shiro looks annoyed and scowls.
"Thank you!" Pidge says and waves goodbye, relieved to get away from whatever those two have tension about.
She walks down the hallway and giggles, those two, Marinette and Shiro, act like siblings. The bickering just then reminds her of the small fights she would get into with her older brother when she was younger.
How she misses those old days before her brother disappeared. The days they would have fun by playing scifenoic games or just talking about the Earth's new technological advancements, particularly space technology.
Now she would have go on a quest to find her brother, to know if he is still alive fighting this war against the Galra.
Hopefully he is and they can figure out a way to find their dad as well together.
Author's Note: Alright I delivered on my promise and had Pidge start the Team Arc get rolling. The first episode of Voltron Season 4 revolves around Keith who is on Earth in this fic and the second episode deals with Pidge finding her brother. So yeah, also I figured that since I ended on the Miraculous side of things last fic that I would start with the Voltron side of things this fic. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this first chapter of the Team Arc Part 1:)
