Despite a flurry of work and other duties required by the king, Yuuri managed to find plenty of time for reflection. It started on Earth when he thought it was impossible to return to the Shin Makoku. He was depressed that he would never again meet the part of his family living there, but a completely different kind of pain pierced him at the thought of never seeing Wolfram again. At first, he didn't give it much credit. He already realized that he had grown attached to the boy and how much he missed his company, and for a while, he still didn't want to admit that it was more than a deep friendship. For a very short time, to be honest. However, even after recognizing that it wasn't just friendship, he still had trouble naming what it was. In fact, he already knew this subconsciously, but knowing something and saying it out loud are two completely different things.

That's why he thought so much about it. He tried to put everything together in his head to explain what was going on and how he felt. However, each time, the chaos reigning in his thoughts grew greater.

And just when he thought he had managed to put all the bricks together. Analyze all the past events and his feelings about them. Make sure that thinking about how another boy is pretty and cute isn't normal among friends. The whole structure collapsed after appearing in the familiar fountain in Shin Makoku.

Despite the euphoria and disappointment that the first meeting with his fiancé ended only with getting a scolding being the ultimate proof of his feelings, a new problem appeared before Yuuri. Wolfram began to avoid him.

Of course, at first, Yuuri decided to use this as another opportunity to think things over again. This time he used the method to come up with all the pros and cons - there were no cons - but when he unknowingly called Wolfram out loud as his fiancé, even he decided it was pointless to continue the thinking. Luckily, Wolfram was not there (because he was avoiding him), but Gunter stared at him for a long time with a puzzled look. Thankfully, he did not comment on it.

So, the only thing left for him to think about now was why his fiancé was avoiding him. It made absolutely no sense. After all, he was the one who first started confessing his love for him. So, he should be happy that Yuuri is back, and they can now continue.

At first, he thought he only imagined it. After all, given the circumstances, it was quite normal for him to have to go on patrols frequently. Less than a year is definitely not enough time to embrace the chaos caused by Shoushu.

However, he never once appeared in his bedroom, even when he was in the castle. He did not sit next to him during meals, and when Yuuri accidentally appeared somewhere near, Wolfram suddenly remembered that he had to do something.

Yes, he definitely avoided him. But why? Did he stop liking him already? Did he let go of him? It's true that it had been a while, and Wolfram had the right to move on, but why did he have to avoid him? He wanted to ask him. To talk about it and explain everything to each other. To tell him his thoughts and the conclusions he had come to. To tell him that he liked him.

But he wasn't even in the castle. For a month. A whole month!

He left for his territory, and there was still no sign of whether he intended to return soon.

Yuuri knew that maybe this was a slight exaggeration and would make him look desperate, but he couldn't take it anymore. A month was far too long. Even earlier, he was already running on fumes, having been forced to settle for only seeing Wolfram through the window during his training sessions. He felt he would go crazy if they didn't meet face-to-face immediately.

That's why he was now sitting in the living room of Waltorana's castle - who was not pleased with his visit and quickly left him alone - waiting for Wolfram to show up. He asked Conrad to take him here. The man only smiled understandingly, fortunately not commenting on anything. Yuuri would have sunk into the ground if he had explained himself.

He had no idea how long he had waited and was already thinking Wolfram would not show up. Or maybe he hadn't been informed of his visit altogether? Or maybe they told him, but he didn't give a damn and went on to do whatever he was doing, and then would just look at him with pretended surprise during dinner, claiming that he didn't know about his arrival. Yuuri's being here now will not change the fact that Wolfram insisted on avoiding him. There is no way he will come here.

He should just go out and look for Wolf on his own. Take him by surprise and cut off all escape routes. Of course, it was unlikely that he could actually do that. Yuuri was sure that here Wolfram had many more options for avoiding him. But it was better than sitting here aimlessly, knowing that no matter how long he waited, his fiancé wouldn't show up anyway.

Only that he appeared.

Yuuri was so surprised that he blinked several times, unsure if what he saw was real. However, when, despite blinking, the image did not dissolve, he stood up overjoyed to greet him.

He felt that he hadn't seen him in ages and couldn't get enough of him now. His clothes attracted the most attention. Yuuri had never seen Wolfram wear anything like this and was slightly jealous that everyone in this castle had the opportunity to see him like this before him.

A simple white shirt, over which he wore a light brown vest trimmed with silver thread and with tiny buttons of the same color. The shirt itself had short sleeves, the ends of which were tied in small bows. The same was done with the collar, to which a silver brooch was attached.

The matching vest's shorts reached only halfway down the thighs, exposing the entire legs down to the boots. This caught him off guard for a long moment.

He had never seen Wolfram expose so much flesh, even while wearing a nightgown. In addition, it was already early autumn, and it was starting to get chilly. He would get cold. Yuuri couldn't deny that it was a pleasant sight. The cut of the vest especially appealed to him. It seemed to cut into his waist and made him want to put his hands there. But that's exactly it! If even he had such thoughts, what about the others? What if even someone already did it? And these bows. After all, all it takes is a gentle tug, and they will untie. He didn't even want to think about the exposed legs. He had seen how people looked at them even when Wolfram wore a uniform, let alone now that the creamy skin was completely visible. What if Wolfram sits down next to someone and that someone's hand goes where it shouldn't?

He didn't want to think about it. He really didn't want to, but images kept popping up in his head on their own. No way would he let Wolfram walk around dressed like that. It's dangerous. All the men around him are hungry wolves just waiting for an opportunity. He has to do something about it. He must forbid him to dress like this.

These words, however, did not pass his lips. Partly because he feared Wolfram's reaction and partly because he liked the outfit too much. If he forbade him, not only would the others not be able to see him dressed like this, but Yuuri would as well. So he had to do something else. Something to deal with other men.

"What are you doing here?" Wolfram's irritated voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Judging by the look on his face, he had asked this question for the nth time.

"You have been gone for more than a month."

"And do you consider it an excuse to come so suddenly?"

"Yes?"

Yuuri didn't understand what he was so angry about. It was his fault that he started avoiding him without giving him any opportunity to talk and then went on his way just like that.

Wolfram shook his head in annoyance.

"What is it about? When you did that, it was fine. Now it's my turn. Don't think I'll just let you disappear without any explanation."

With every word he spoke, Wolfram seemed to get angrier and angrier. However, Yuuri was not about to back down. He thought about it so much that even he had had enough. He had to talk to him about it. At most, he would end up as a living torch. He'll recover from his wounds, but at least he'll get it out of his head.

"These are two completely different things. I have my duties to perform here, and you have yours in the capital." He said in a calm tone, although his face wasn't calm. Yuuri admired his sudden ability to control his emotions, at least in voice. When did he learn this? Or had he been able to do it before, but Yuuri had not paid attention? He should have. Really, he should have paid attention to such things earlier. Maybe then he would have this conversation behind him.

While Yuuri focused on a completely irrelevant thing to this discussion, Wolfram turned to Conrad.

"I still have a lot of work and no time to entertain him. Take him back."

It hurt. It sounded like Yuuri had come here just to play. But he had an important matter to discuss. And the fact that Wolfram was unwilling to have any conversation was even more painful.

He took a step toward his reluctant fiancé, who had already managed to turn on his heel, and grabbed him by the arm.

"At least talk to me. I guess it's not that demanding? Besides, I don't see any difference between this and that. I think it's obvious that I'm worried about my fiancé, who left so suddenly without a word."

"I'm not your fiancé," Wolfram said, pulling away from him.

"What?" Yuuri looked at him, confused. Wolfram's statement made no sense at all. What does it mean that he is no longer his fiancé? After all, he had reminded him of this every moment before. It was unlike him to claim otherwise now.

Unless…

Something happened. While he was gone. When he was still on Earth, and everyone thought he wouldn't come back. Something must have happened, and that's why Wolfram is avoiding him now. Only what?

His fiancé(?) looked at him with the face of an annoyed teacher, as if he were a student disrupting the lesson and now unable to answer the question. Then his gaze went back to Conrad as if placing all the blame for this on him.

Something in the back of his head told him that he was slightly right about that. Yuuri had complained to him many times about how his younger brother avoided him, but the man didn't even say a word about the reason.

"What do you mean..." Yuuri paused for a moment, looking at Wolfram and then at Conrad. "We are not engaged?"

Wolfram sighed loudly and massaged his temple as if he had a headache. He strongly resembled his eldest brother in this gesture.

"I'm really starting to doubt the competence of your teacher," he mumbled, and Yuuri had no intention of defending Gunter. "But I can't believe that even you didn't say anything to him." It was probably directed at Conrad. Wolfram's gaze was still on the floor.

"I believe this is something you should explain between yourselves," the man replied, and Wolfram turned sideways to them so that Yuuri could not see his face.

"The engagement was canceled after you returned to Earth," said Wolfram, still not looking at him. "I no longer have a reason to be in the capital, so I returned to continue my preparations. Maybe my uncle is still young, but he will eventually want me to replace him."

"But!" Yuuri began but had no idea what to say. His head was filled with emptiness. Thoughts swirling in it until now had suddenly disappeared, and it didn't look like they were going to return.

"No worries. I will still take care of Greta as best I can. I will visit her and maybe even take her here for a while." He sighed and turned his back to him." Once I get all my affairs in order." He added quieter and left.

Yuuri continued to stare at the closed door behind which his former fiancé had disappeared. He didn't expect it, although he should have. After all, he had been gone for almost a year, and everyone thought he wouldn't be back. It was obvious that Wolfram could not be engaged to someone like that. But that statement from a moment before sounded like they were getting a divorce, even though they hadn't even been married. Their whole relationship was out of whack.

He finally sighed and slumped on the sofa, feeling as if all his strength had left his body.

"It would be nice if you mentioned anything about it. I wouldn't make such an idiot of myself," he muttered reproachfully.

"It's better that you heard it from him." Conrad sounded comforting, but for some reason, Yuuri thought it was cruel. Even he noticed that the conversation was not pleasant for Wolfram. " It will get you nowhere if you run away from it."

Yuuri turned and looked at his godfather with furrowed brows.

"I don't understand what you mean. But I think I should talk to him again."

"This will be the best."

On that day, however, it was not possible for him. He did not see Wolfram again until dinner, at which he completely ignored him. Beside them, sitting at the table, were Waltorana - still unsatisfied - and two other men. They sat on either side of the younger von Bielefeld, surrounding him like wolves. One of them, with long, light brown hair and a handsome face but making such a smirk that Yuuri felt like blowing his nose, looked to be of a similar age to Conrad. The second, on the other hand, was older, closer to Waltorana's age. Stubbornly, he could be Wolfram's father. They even had hair of a similar color. This particular man - Yuuri wasn't going to bother remembering his name - spoke the most during dinner.

He inquired about the reason for Yuuri's visit, how long he was going to stay, whether he was going to do some sightseeing, or maybe he wanted to go hunting, and so on. Yuuri answered each of these questions evasively. He may have been in Wolfram's company, but his favorite green eyes never once looked at him. So he waited for the meal to end like a prisoner waiting for the end of his sentence.

Upon returning to his room, even though it was obvious that something like this would not happen, Yuuri was still disappointed at the sight of an empty bed. The thought of sneaking out and going to Wolfram's bedroom even crossed his mind, but aside from the consequences of being caught, he didn't even have a clue where the room in question was located. And he doubted Conrad would know either.

Yuuri laughed lightly, imagining himself asking Conrad to help him slip into his little brother's bedroom in the middle of the night. Maybe he believed Yuuri had no bad intentions, but everything has its limits.

For now, he will have to spend another night alone.

Breakfast was no better. However, just when he had given up hope that this state of affairs would continue until the next meal, he managed to find Wolfram in the garden.

He was not alone, unfortunately. Accompanying him was the talkative type, who was now also tormenting him with his verbosity. Yuuri was surprised that the boy tolerated him at all. Not even hearing what the man was saying, Yuuri already felt like shoving a branch down his throat to silence him. He even found a suitable one. Long and fitting well in his hand, it provided the right grip so that shoving it into someone's mouth would be simple and effortless.

He was already about to approach them with his makeshift silencer, but Wolfram preceded him, heading toward him with a quick step and a disgruntled expression. The annoying man, fortunately, stayed behind.

"What are you doing?" asked Wolfram, stopping a few steps before him.

"What do you mean? I wanted to talk to you, but you keep running away from me."

"And why do you need this?"

Yuuri balanced the branch in his hands as if it was a good baseball bat.

"For getting rid of unwanted company."

Wolfram stared at him with disbelief in his eyes, then massaged his temple again.

"Okay, I'll talk to you. Just put it down."

Satisfied that he had finally accomplished something, Yuuri obediently put the branch back on the ground. But before he did so, he sent another warning glance in the direction of the man watching them with an amused expression. He disliked him more and more.

"Come." Wolfram led the way toward the castle. After walking down a bit through a corridor, they entered the parlor. Different from the one in which Yuuri waited earlier. This one was much more richly decorated, and soft cushions of smooth material lay on the sofas. The room to which Waltorana had led him yesterday was probably intended for dealing with poorer merchants. Yuuri didn't have a problem with it, but it said a lot about what the man thought of him.

"So?" Wolfram began, sitting down on the sofa. He took one of the pillows and placed it on his lap, squeezing it lightly. "What did you want to talk about?"

"Why are you avoiding me?" Yuuri asked, sitting down near him.

"I don't know what you mean by that." He replied, turning his head away. Yuuri couldn't see his face again. This irritated him. He felt like grabbing him by the chin and making him turn in his direction. Force him to look at him.

"You know perfectly well what I mean. No one is stupid enough not to see it."

The silence answered him. Wolfram hardly moved at all. Only his hands played with the edge of the pillow.

"So what about it?" he finally brought out in a husky voice just when Yuuri was beginning to wonder whether to urge him on.

"What do you mean, so what"?"

"So what if I ignore you?"

Yuuri's mouth opened wide in disbelief. What did he mean, so what? Here he is worrying, almost reaching the point of insanity, and the only answer he gets is, "so what?". He must be kidding him.

It was enough. He grabbed him by the arm, turned him around to his side, and pulled him closer. Wolfram looked at him with wide eyes and tried to free his arm, but Yuuri had no intention of letting go.

"Listen." He started to get louder. "Do you realize how worried I was? You are avoiding me as if I had committed some unknown crime. In addition, you don't even want to explain anything to me. How did you think I would behave? Do you really think that just avoiding me is all it takes and I'll get over it?"

"You behave with the same logic, so what's the problem?" Wolfram shouted suddenly, giving up on freeing himself.

"What do you mean?"

"What do I mean? You ignored our engagement all the time as if it didn't exist at all. And now you pretend to be greatly concerned that they have been canceled. You should be happy. You will finally be able to marry your dream girl. But please leave me finally alone. I'm staying here, and I have no intention of interfering in your life."

"I don't…." Yuuri started, but Wolfram finally broke free from his grasp. He thought he was going to try to get up and escape, but he continued to sit on the sofa.

"It has already come to me that you have no intention of being with me. So there is no need to tell me that again." His face was turned away again, but his voice was beginning to break, and Yuuri started panicking. "Just leave me alone. I don't want to be in your company. It's too..."

Yuuri pulled him close and hugged. He put his arms around his shoulders and rested his forehead against the top of his head. He wanted to say something, but the words stood trapped in his throat for some time. For that split second, when he saw Wolfram's surprised eyes, tears were gathering in them. It was too shocking of a sight. Wolfram never cried. He was too proud for that. But now Yuuri had brought him to such a state. He himself felt like crying but clenched his jaw. Instead, he raised his hand and stroked the golden hair.

Wolfram did not move. His body was stiff. Perhaps he was still shocked. Or maybe furious. But as Yuuri began to stroke him, he buried his face in his shirt, and after a moment, something wet appeared on it. They sat like this in silence, broken only by Wolfram's rapid breaths.

Yuuri was afraid to speak up. It was as if any word would only make things worse. So he gently stroked the boy he was holding in his arms, calming him down like a small child.

Finally, his breathing calmed down, and his shoulders stopped trembling. Wolfram, however, made no attempt to free himself, and Yuuri decided that now was the right time. He took a deep breath and leaned lower, bringing himself closer to his ear.

"I like you. I really like you," he whispered.

The body he held stiffened again, and Yuuri watched him with concern. Several minutes passed before Wolfram moved again.

He pulled his head back slightly and looked at him as if he did not understand what he had said. Yuuri's heart pounded faster at the sight of his face. The emerald eyes were slightly puffy and still shining from tears, but his innocent, almost childlike expression looked so adorable that he couldn't help but stare. Wolfram was still lovely, even when he cried. However, Yuuri did not like it. He hated that someone had brought him to tears. In this case, he should hate himself.

Fearing that Wolfram really didn't understand, Yuuri approached him again and repeated his words.

The wide-open eyes and reddening cheeks were enough confirmation that, this time, he understood.

Wolfram turned his head and probably only then realized that Yuuri was still holding him in his arms. He moved away from him and put the pillow back in his lap, playing with it nervously. His gaze flew all over the room, doing everything to avoid looking at Yuuri.

So adorable.

He much preferred this reaction. The embarrassed Wolfram surpassed the sad Wolfram in everything. And it was a state he could drive him to without feeling guilty.

"Wolf." He moved closer to him and placed his hand on his. The boy shuddered slightly, staring at their palms on the pillow. He was still red on his face, and Yuuri was almost sure he could feel the heat emanating from him. "Can we somehow... cancel the cancellation of the engagement?"

Wolfram raised his head in his direction, but his eyes still looked elsewhere.

"Do you really want this?" He asked hesitantly.

Yuuri felt like his cheeks began to burn. He nodded slightly at first but decided to gather himself and say it out loud.

"Yes."

Wolfram's gaze finally focused on him. He blinked his eyes much more frequently than normal, and his uncertain expression showed that he still didn't believe it. However, it was such a divine sight that Yuuri suddenly felt the need to reduce the distance between them and…

Wolfram put his hands over his mouth and pushed him away slightly with a frightened look on his face.

Too fast? Yuuri thought it was something that should happen at such moments. Seal it with a kiss, and everyone lives happily ever after. He began to panic slightly. What if Wolfram still didn't want to be with him? He asked if he was sure about this, but he himself said nothing regarding the matter. Admittedly, Yuuri thought his reaction was obvious, but maybe there was more to it. What if he thinks Yuuri is too much of a wimp to want to continue being with him? What should he do now? Maybe convince him somehow? Prove that he's serious?

Wolfram breathed deeply and got up from the couch. He tried to maintain his composed and arrogant posture, but it didn't work out very well. He was still nervous. For Yuuri, this was a good sign.

"Don't you want the engagement back?" he decided to ask.

"It's not that I don't want to."

"Great! Why don't we ask Gunter about it, then? He'll probably know what to do."

"Wait." Wolfram turned toward him, pointing his index finger at him. "Don't you think I'll let you just propose to me like that again. Do you realize how many people are lined up in front of you? And they already have earned it more. So don't think you will just say something, and I will agree to everything."

"You're kidding."

"I'm not kidding. You said yourself that it's not normal to get engaged right away. So we will follow the normal path." That said, Wolfram crossed his arms in front of him and puffed.

"Normal path?"

Wolfram nodded vigorously.

So dating, right? How do you date in Shin Makoku? Do they date at all here? How? They don't have any movie theaters or amusement parks here. His personal field is ready, so how about a baseball game? No way, Wolfram would immediately leave him at the mere mention of it. Since they wouldn't be engaged, nothing was keeping him with Yuuri for the time being. And he also still had no reason to go back with him.

"And what about your preparations?"

It seemed that Wolfram had just remembered it, too.

"I'm not sure if my uncle will let me pause again."

"Do you have to study right here?" Yuuri sounded more excited than he intended. Wolfram takes into account that he will return with him?

"What do you have in mind?"

"After all, Gwendal and Gunter are also heads of families, right? Can't they help you with that?"

"I doubt they will be willing, considering how much work they already have because of you."

Reluctantly, he agreed. Maybe Gwendal would agree if it meant he would have his little brother by his side, but it was worse with Gunter.

"I'll think of something. Ah, I should focus more on my job as king first... Alright! I'll do my best!"

Wolfram tilted his head slightly, looking at him inquiringly.

There was a small chance that he could take him back immediately, but he must give it his all. The biggest problem was convincing Waltorana. The best thing would be to put him in front of the fact - your nephew is marrying me, so I'm taking him back - but this one might still try to sabotage him.

He wanted to discuss a few more things with Wolfram, but a knock on the door interrupted them. It opened immediately after, but the person behind it seemed to have no intention of going inside. Yuuri couldn't see who it was, but Wolfram shuddered at the sight of him.

"I'm coming," he said to the newcomer and quickly left, giving Yuuri one last uncertain look before closing the door behind him.

Yuuri didn't have his next opportunity to talk to Wolfram until after breakfast the next day. Once again, he found him in the garden, this time in the company of Conrad. They were discussing something that the younger of the brothers was not happy about, and decided to turn on his heel and leave. He hesitated for a moment at the sight of Yuuri but marched toward him nonetheless, intending to pass him and move on.

However, Yuuri did not allow him to do so. He reached out to his side, catching and pulling him close. As a reward for this, he got another view of Wolfram's surprised and slightly embarrassed face. He enjoyed it. In fact, he could devote his entire life to the cause of evoking such a reaction from him. Though there were other facial expressions he would have liked to see.

He put these thoughts out of his head before the evidence of their presence appeared on his face and looked at Conrad, who was walking slowly toward them.

He always had a problem with these two when it came to reading the atmosphere between them. It didn't matter if the conversation they were having was pleasant and friendly or the opposite. Wolfram always looked disgruntled, and Conrad wore his usual refreshing smile.

Exactly as it is now. Conrad stopped beside them and laughed slightly at the sight of Wolfram, who was trying to get away from Yuuri. He wanted to think that he really had problems with it and that it wasn't just emotional turmoil that was the reason. In addition to his work, he also needed to focus more on his training.

"What were you talking about?"

"It's nothing special. I see that everything is fine between you two now." He pointed with his head to Wolfram, who finally managed to get away from him. Yuuri felt like pulling him back to himself.

"You could say that."

Wolfram huffed at his answer.

"I have a lot of work to do, so it's better not to disturb me today." He pointed an accusing finger at him, then walked away.

"Yes. We are slowly getting back to normal." Yuuri smiled but sighed after a moment.

"However, there are still some problems?"

"It would be too naive to think they won't be there, right?" He smiled wryly, and Conrad also responded with a smile.

Yuuri had no idea what to do with himself for the rest of the day. And then he thought to ask Wolfram to let him watch him work. He could use as an excuse that he wanted to learn more about his work and that it would be useful for his job as king as well. That way, they could spend time together.

But they turned him down before he could even ask about it. He didn't even see Wolfram. Waltorana and some other man he hadn't met before but who sent shivers down his spine blocked his path and wouldn't let him go any further. Perhaps with Waltorana himself, he could have argued about it, but the look on his companion's face made him unable to get a word out.

However, no one stopped him from entering Wolfram's room. He asked a few soldiers he recognized from his personal guard, and these showed him where his bedroom was.

He was tempted to look through Wolfram's belongings. The shelves were stacked with books and a mass of caskets. The desk was full of notebooks and loose papers, and a massive wooden chest stood next to it. Another stood at the foot of the bed. In addition, the room was full of cabinets and cupboards, all tightly closed. After all, with so many things to look inside, containment was impossible.

But he didn't. He sat politely on one of the armchairs and waited. This was because he didn't want to lose Wolfram's trust at the very beginning. There will still be a chance for him to check what was hidden in the caskets and cabinets. Or maybe he'll even ask Wolfram, and the boy himself will tell him. Judging by the books' titles, most were adventure ones. So it will be interesting to see what such a big adventure fan can keep among his treasures.

Soon the sun began to set, and Wolfram finally entered the room. He blinked a few times, charmingly surprised, then glanced around the corridor once more before closing the door behind him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked in a hushed voice as if someone was about to catch them.

"I haven't seen you all day" was enough of an explanation for Yuuri.

Wolfram sighed with a resigned face as if guessing that nothing sensible would come out of it, and lay face down on the bed, making tired sounds.

"A rough day?" Yuuri sat down next to him. Wolfram was again wearing short sleeves and shorts, but this time he wore at least gray wool socks that reached past his knees. But it didn't help much with the problem of some people's wild imaginations or wandering hands.

Yuuri placed his hand between his shoulder blades, massaging the boy's back, who leaned on his elbow and looked at him questioningly. The material was definitely too thin.

For this kind of weather. For the weather.

"I don't mind my job, and I even like it, but this man..." He shuddered slightly. "I would prefer Gunter."

Yuuri giggled. He guessed who Wolfram had in mind. But maybe it would be more motivation for him to let Yuuri take him back.

The bed creaked, and Wolfram tried to get up, but Yuuri pushed him gently backward, placing him on his back. He could now see the front of his shirt. Another bow under the collar. All it took was a little tug.

"Yuuri," Wolfram spoke up quietly, pushing him away. He didn't even notice when he leaned over him so much.

Soon the two were sitting across from each other. Yuuri wanted to get closer to Wolfram, but he could see that the latter was uncomfortable. He looked to the side and kept his hands tucked between his thighs. Someone must have told him that such a thing has quite the opposite effect than he expected.

Nothing will be wrong if he comes a little closer?

"Can I kiss you?" He took a risk.

Wolfram looked at him, still uncertain.

"You don't want to?"

"I don't like it," he whispered, and Yuuri barely heard him.

"You don't?"

He looked away and now began to play with the hem of his shirt.

"I know my mother and probably everyone else does it all the time, but I don't understand what she likes about it. It's just weird."

"Have you kissed before?"

Wolfram nodded.

An explanation immediately popped into Yuuri's head. Wolves. Someone couldn't resist and threw themselves at him, causing now Wolfram to have bad memories of it. He hoped they ended up with serious burns.

"Alright. I understand." He said and moved back to his previous position.

"Really?" Wolfram looked at him, surprised.

"Yeah. Maybe it would be a little tempting, but it will be fine." He smiled as Wolfram began to blush again. It's not like they'll stay that way forever. Even in normal relationships, people don't usually kiss right away. "But can I… Can I hug you?" He asked hesitantly.

Yuuri almost lost his balance and fell backward as Wolfram threw his arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He hadn't expected such enthusiasm, but it was a pleasant surprise. Lifting his hand and circling it on his back, he nuzzled his face into the blond hair.

Everything would be perfect if it weren't for the fact that he would soon have to return, and Wolfram was staying here. So maybe he should just take him with him and then say that he took him by force? Perhaps it would have caused a scandal, but it would have been yet another one, and hardly anyone would have cared. Well, except maybe Waltorana. But probably, it wouldn't trigger a civil war?

"Wolf, regarding your preparations," he began, and Wolfram raised his head with a strangely excited expression. Yuuri froze for a moment, forgetting even to breathe. When was the last time his eyes were so sparkling and full of energy? This definitely goes to the top of the list of his favorite Wolfram expressions.

"There's nothing to worry about," Wolfram announced.

"What do you mean there isn't?"

"I can go back with you. Not right away, because I still have some things to finish, but it will only take a few days, a week at the most."

"Really? How?"

Wolfram smiled mysteriously, but it didn't look like he was going to answer him. Instead, he snuggled back into the hollow of his neck.

"Don't worry about it. It will be fine."
