Everyone's hair stopped floating as the electric discharge finished and the pop up screen solidified.
"damn, when recovery girl said that the quirk could manifest soon I was not expecting that soon"
Shotas thoughts ran wild as he hopped over the counter and went to check on his daughter and her newfound quirk. Sometime when powers manifested in the young it happened in catastrophic ways, and that was why he had his quirk rating to go just incase something happened.
nothing at all seemed to pop up into existence except for the one screen. Himitsu looked up at her father, expecting some sort of explanation or to be told what to do with this.
"its... a video game screen... but that doesn't even make any sense! Dad doesn't have a single connection to this... unless... mother?"
as Himitsus theories started getting out of hand, her dad picked her up and moved her to the couch before sitting next to her. The screen followed its owner, always staying directly infront of her even if it was pressed against a wall.
"ok deep breaths Shota, you can do this, it's just a strange quirk right now but I'm sure the both of you can figure this out, and make sure that the house doesn't blow up in the process"
"Alright Himitsu, why dont you press start?" With her father beside her, worry faded from the childs mind however the theories did not. It made her question if her dad had a kid with a gamer girl or something.
much much further away and sitting at a Pc, Emi Fumikage turned her head a little and sneezed.
"someone talking about me?"
back with the pair, Himitsu had begun tapping away at the screen after her own father had failed to make it work. It seemed like only she was able to physically touch it despite the blood connection between the two.
there had was a small pop up asking if she would like to take a tutorial, something to get her adjusted to the mechanics.
now while Shota didn't doubt his daughters intelligence at all he was still confused a bit as he looked back and forth between the screen and her. She wasn't supposed to be able to read fluently yet, however this was her quirk and an extension of herself, so he theorized that perhaps it was speaking to her on an inner level.
"Greetings User and welcome to the Tutorial! This is a simple multi step plan to get you adjusted to the system and push you beyond your limits!!!"
"it sounds like a cheap mobile game!!!!!!"
both Shota and Himitsu shook containing their laughter as they read the text.
"First thing first, you must understand that to use the Gacha feature you must have something known as Shards!!! These are used to summon forth the lowest Gacha from oblivion which can be evolved into higher tiers of summons! There is no limit to how many summons you can have or use at once. Shards are found or rewarded from dungeons which you can clear at any time, these dungeons are also summoned so please do so in a clear area that can fit a mid to large door."
Himitsu finished reading over the text and began thinking, this wasn't the full tutorial, most things were blocked behind a wall of must do tasks, such as clearing a dungeon. Quickly she tapped the next page eager to learn more about her super power.
"items and gold can be found within dungeons and are often rewards for completing them. Gold can be used in the shop to procure items and such. Items can be used at any time and can be either armor/weapons, or consumables... or the occasional costume for summons X3"
Both Himitsu and Shota dead panned this time, this really was like a poor mobile game now. Costumes? Really? The girl was half tempted to just shut down the quirk and pretend to be quirkless, however she decided in the end that having a power would be best.
"one last thing, you can gain experience and level up in dungeons. Once you level up you will have access to higher tier dungeons! Also you will get stat points that will increase your power and abilities! That's all for now, you will learn more later on as you do trial and error. Good luck..."
the tutorial shut down leaving the pair with the simple navigation screen. The notification button flashing like crazy and soon opened up to expose a new message. It caused both Himitsu and Shota to do a double take as they read the message before slowly turning to look at the cats.
"43 eligible individuals wish to become summons, do you accept? Y/N!!!!"
"meeeeooooow!!!!!" The mother cat put emphasis on her wish to do as the message said. All the cats had managed to squeeze into the room and now stared at the silver child and her violet eyes. Their piercing eyes shut up Shota who was about to voice his concerns, any peep would have caused a torrent of yowls and scratches.
"if that is what you wish... then join me in preserving this world!"
Himitsu pressed accept and the room was suddenly filled with light, each cat glowed as they changed colors to fit their summoner attributes that had been explained in a sub note.
The glow vanished and the mother cat stepped forward, her fur not a mix of fire and orange hair as blazing red eyes stared up at her owner. All the cats had been changed, some of them were changed into powerful elements of nature, while others were less common and had weird features, one was made of technology.
Shota stared in awe as all the cats glowed once more before becoming a glowing shard of crystal that floated in the air and began orbiting his daughter in a ring. What was his daughters quirk? And what was its purpose.
A/N
sorry for the wait, but hey this explains some stuff!!!
oh small note, that last bit where they all turned to crystal? That's a storage feature made by the quirk, cant have a hoard following behind our hero right??? Lol. Also the crystals only appear when the quirks activated, that way Himitsu can choose what to come out for combat or support.
anyways let's have more fun with this adventure!!!
