Chapter Six: The First Day of Classes.

AN: Thank you all so much for reviewing my last chapter, I really didn't know what to think of it, I think that Remus found out to quickly…. But shrugs shoulders who cares? Other than me of course.

Disclaimer: I don't think I have put one of these on yet. Hmm well you know the drill. I don't own it although I pretend I do. I also pretend I'm married to Rupert Grint. Or Daniel Radcliffe. Whichever mood I'm in. LOL. Sighs Today it's Rupert….

Oh and a little piece of advice: Don't eat syrup in the sand. Doesn't mix well. Gets sticky.

On ward to the story, James (that's my butler)

Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Remus all skidded into Charms class one minute late. Remus gave a quick excuse and sat next to Sirius; the other four found seats around the classroom. Harry some how got next to James and Lily, Ron by Peter and some blonde hair boy. Ginny and Hermione got to sit next to each other however.

Harry was surprised at his luck of sitting next to his parents. Ron, although by the look on his face, was trying really hard not to hit Peter.

"Today class we will be working with the Patronus Charm. It is a very difficult spell and you will be very lucky to get it on your first day. The spell its self does what, can anyone tell me?"

Lily, to nobody's surprise in the correct time period, along with Remus raised their hands. Hermione did also. The three of them looked at each other and then back at the teacher.

"Ah, how about Miss Granger?"

"When it works correctly, it conjures up a Patronus, which is a kind of anti-dementor—a guardian that acts as a shield between yourself and the dementor. To conjure it you have to think about a really happy memory in your lifetime and do the spell."

"Very good, ten points to Gryfinndor. Can anyone tell me what a Patronus looks like?"

Again the three of them raised a hand.

"Miss Evans?"

"Each one is different to the person who conjures it. Sort of part of your soul animal."

Peter raised his hand. "Professor, does that mean it will be the same as your Animagus? I mean if you had one?"

"Sometimes, but not all the time. Professor McGonagall is a tabby cat when she transforms, although her Patronus is a large monkey."

Several of the students laughed. "Who can tell me the incantation?"

Harry slowly raised his hand. "Expecto patronum!"

Professor Flitwick looked absolutely thrilled. "Very good, Mr. Granger! Just as bright as your sister I see." Harry blushed slightly and sank in his chair. "Now please come up her Mr. Granger and try the spell will you? If you produce an indistinct, I'll give your house fifty points. Come up give it a try."

Harry thought he was going to faint. Hermione looked to be thinking fast, and Ron and Ginny looked at Harry, helpless.

Harry walked to the front of the room. He knew he could produce it, even with out thinking of a happy memory. He was too powerful Dumbledore said, so he had no way of faking it.

"Expecto patronum," he said having no choice to do it, and not wanting to look like a fool. Prongs came out of Harry's wand and stood proudly next to Harry. Professor Flitwick fell of his desk and all the students gasped, then clapped and cheered. All except for the Marauders, who noticed that it looked awfully familiar. Remus however, beamed.

Professor Flitwick stood up on his desk again. "My goodness Mr. Granger, how long have you been doing that for? Can your friends do that?"

"W—we learned it last year at the d—defense club, and we caught on pretty quickly you k—know." Harry could stop stuttering. He was so screwed. And he had no way of getting out of it. Professor Flitwick had to make him do it front of the class. But at least he didn't lie much, they did learn it, last year Harry restarted the DA, otherwise known as Dumbledore's Army.

"One hundred points for Gryfinndor, and on the first day. Perhaps the Marauders will be so kind not to lose them today?" The Charms teacher said with a hint of a laugh. "Now get into small groups and practice the charm. Maybe the new students could help the others?"

Harry quickly moved to Hermione and gave her a pleading look. "When we get back, Moony is so dead. And Dumbledore doesn't get anyone socks this year." He said, sulking.

The four of them went around the room and helped the people who needed to be helped. The Marauders however were talking in a small group and looking oddly at Harry. Remus seemed to be trying to distract his friends and get them to work on the project.

Harry was extremely grateful for the bell that rang forty minutes later; signing that Transfiguration lesson was about to start.

The four of them waited until Remus came out of the Charms class room because he had to 'show' them where their next class was.

"You'll never believe Harry, your Pat—"

"Yes, yes I know it looks like Prongs, which happens to be my dad. Do you think he noticed." He looked over at James, who was glaring at him.

"Hmm, I don't know, he is kinda slow, after all it took him six years to figure out how to behave, at least in front of Lily." The girls laughed but stopped at the look at Harry's face.

"Don't worry, love, everything will be fine." Ginny said smoothly. Harry reached for her hand and gave a slight squeeze. He had to believe that, or else the future of the whole world would be changed. "Still I wonder—"

Professor McGonagall coming in the classroom cut off Ginny. " Okay class today we will be learning…" Harry looked over at the Marauders who were whispering to Remus, most likely demanding to know more about them. When the class was over Harry and the trio waited once again for Remus to "show" them to the great hall.

The Marauders (including the girls, Harry has started thinking of them as Marauders because they were never too far from the boys), stood in front of them. Harry felt a little nervous looking into his seventeen-year-old father's eyes but nonetheless stood his full height against them. And even though they were out numbered, people around the classroom and in the corridor could see who was the more powerful group.

"So, do you all need to know the way to the Great Hall?" Lily finally asked, glaring at her boyfriend.

"No, thank you," Ron replied evenly staring directly at Sirius, who was glaring daggers at Harry. "We think we can manage to get to the Hall, thanks." And with that Ron turned around and left the other three in his wake before they realised that, they too, must go.

With the seven of them gone behind them, Harry felt free to talk. "You know what I think? That Dumbledore is as nutty at Dobby and Remus finally cracked."

Hermione tutted at Harry, "They must have had a good reason for sending us here. I mean would they really risk the chance of changing the future?" Ron looked serious and Ginny thoughtful. "After all, we aren't the best at following other peoples plans are we? We just kinda do what we want to do, with in the rules. Sorta."

They all had a good laugh, and before they knew it they were at the Great Hall. "Still," she continued. "I think they noticed Prongs, Harry. How are we going to explain that?"

"Well couldn't we just say that there happen to be more than one white stag in the whole world? And do you really think that in that short amount of time they saw every detail of Prongs, and that it was Prongs? For all we know Moony could have told them an excuse."

Harry sat down at the table only to be followed by James and Sirius sitting on either side of him. Ron across from Harry with Hermione and Ginny sat to his left and Remus and Peter on his right.

" So Harry, why is your patronus a stag?" Sirius asked. Harry looked at him sharply and opened his mouth to say, "mind your own business you over stuffed pouf," when Hermione carefully kicked him in the shin.

"Well, when we were in our third year we were out in this area kind of what you call the 'Forbidden Forest'. We got lost and separated. I got back to the castle safely but ran to get help as soon as I could. But when I got there with a teacher, a werewolf had Harry against a tree and with no way to escape. Then out of nowhere a huge white stag came and put the werewolf into check. Quite scary really." Then she went on to eating her toast.

James and Sirius looked surprised for a minute then got evil looks on their faces. "So I bet you hate werewolves now, eh?"

"On the contrary no," replied Harry, smiling at their faces. "I know that they can't control them selves and it not their fault. In fact my one of my parents best friend was a werewolf, he was the nicest person I know. Other than my godfather." Inside of Harry he was laughing so hard. The look of shock on their faces' and the one on Remus' was just so priceless.

Harry went back to eating his dinner while he heard the rest of the school gossip. The Hufflepuff's were telling the rest of the school about the new students and how 'powerful' they were and how they 'stood up' to the Marauders. Harry gave the trio across from him a smile, one that stunned the other three. They couldn't remember Harry smiling like that.

After dinner Harry felt like he just finished eating one of Mrs. Weasley's feast, Harry had to unbuckle his belt he was that full. When they were walking up Harry knew that Professor Dumbledore wanted to speak with the four of them. So, giving his friends a slight nod, they followed them to the Headmasters office and to the surprise of the Marauders, the young werewolf followed too.

The five young students walked as quickly as they could to the office. Saying the password, they all climbed in. Harry looked behind him to see if his parents were following them: they were not.

"Please, come in." Professor Dumbledore's pleasant voice replied to the knock. Upon entering they could see Professor Dumbledore's desk was piled with books, big books, small books, sneezing books. Hermione's eyes widen with wonder and pleasure.

"May I ask what this visit if for?" Said Dumbledore. Harry raised an eyebrow, a trait he learned from Remus. "I think you know, professor."

Dumbledore laughed with merriment. "Indeed I do. First, is it free to speak in front of Mr. Lupin?" They all nodded. "Excellent, now on to business. We have figured out that Lord Voldemort has indeed sent back some of his followers." Harry didn't see Remus shudder. "Three to be precise. Lucius Malfoy, Avery Nott, and last but certainly not least Draco Malfoy."

Hermione gasped at his right, Ginny on his left and Ron behind him just grunted. "Knew it," he muttered. Dumbledore sadly shook his head. "It is a sad thing indeed when children are brought into war, but it seems both sides have not else to do.

"Be warned that they do not look like them selves, they could be in fact in the school, at Hogsmade or waiting to lure them out. Please keep your eyes open and stay with that clever map of yours."

Fifteen minutes later, the five teens sat in the common room. Remus with the Marauders and the other four in the corner dubbed the 'losers corner'. Hermione had her eyes closed, resting her head on Ron's shoulder. Ginny was curled in a ball her back on Harry's chest looking out side. Ron and Harry were staring at each other. The four of them all wondering the same thing: "How are we going to pull this off?"
