Error
Disclaimer: No rights to anything.
A/N: I'm responsible for any actual errors in this, considering I wrote it on LJ and not in Word. Feedback is loved.
Lindsay knows an error when she sees one.
A mistake glaring her in the eye. A little note written in red pen and a part of her paper circled. She's read them over and over again, trying to figure out just how she messed that up, where she went wrong, how she could fix it.
Lindsay knows it's an error when Ryan Atwood might just have a crush on her.
Guys like Ryan are supposed to slack off and let Lindsay do the work. Guys like Ryan are supposed to make out with big-boobed blonde girls in the hallways. Guys like Ryan are supposed to be dumb as rocks. Guys like Ryan aren't supposed to be nice. Guys like Ryan certainly are supposed to not even take a second glance at the redheaded bookworm in the corner.
Lindsay knows it's an error in her entire system when Ryan flirts with her.
Ryan's gorgeous. Lindsay can feel his blue eyes on her and she blushes and then shivers and reads her textbook speedily, just having to read it over again. Ryan's sweet. He'll actually talk to her and be a gentleman and she knows he'll always do the noble thing.
Lindsay knows it's an error when she sees Ryan and gets to know him, because guys like Ryan don't exsist.
But somehow he's everything she likes rolled into one. He's almost perfect, and that makes him perfect to her in every way. He makes her feel stupid, and that is one thing Lindsay is not.
Lindsay knows it's an error when Ryan kisses her.
But, after a second or two, she knows it's not. But if it is, she's never been so sure that an error was so right before.
