The Camp Rosewood Brochure
One day just before summer vacation began, Lisa Atwood, Stevie Lake, and Carole Hanson were getting off the school bus when it arrived at the Hanson residence.
When the girls entered the Hanson residence, Carole's father had some news for Carole.
"Carole, I have some news for you, you'll be going to the same military camp I went to when I was a boy! Fort MacArthur Military Academy!" Mitchell exclaimed.
"What! You can't send me to military camp, Dad!" Carole exclaimed.
"I can and I have! You're going, Carole!" Mitchell yelled.
Lisa's Camp Rosewood brochure fell out of her backpack.
Carole picked up the brochure and handed it to her father, "I want to go here, with Lisa." she protested.
Mitchell looked at the brochure.
"Very well, you may go to Camp Rosewood, Carole." Mitchell laughed.
"Yes! I'm going to be with Lisa all summer!" Carole exclaimed.
Lisa noticed that Stevie was looking a bit down in the mouth.
"What's wrong?" Lisa asked Stevie.
"I hope you two have fun." Stevie answered Lisa with a sad sounding sigh.
"What are you talking about, Stevie?" Lisa asked, she was confused.
"Yeah," Carole reminded Stevie. "you should be excited to go to Camp Olympus, the sports camp you've always wanted to go to."
"I am, it's just that," Stevie said, hugging Lisa and Carole. "I will miss you guys so much!"
"Where is Camp Olympus, Stevie?" Lisa inquired.
"It's in the town of Riverbend Virginia," Stevie answered Lisa. "Sweet Water is one town over from Willow Creek, that would make Riverbend two towns over from Sweet Water."
"I have an idea, Stevie," Carole exclaimed. "Lisa and I will write to you!"
"You will?" Stevie asked.
"Of course we will!" Lisa said to Stevie.
Lisa, Carole, and Stevie all group hugged.
Until Mitchell interruped them.
"Lisa," Mitchell said. "your mother wants you home on the double."
"Thank you, Colonel Hanson." Lisa said.
Lisa and Stevie grabbed their backpacks and prepared to go to their homes.
