Doc and Suzy found themselves entering Griff's Cafe at the same time. While both were unamused by the constant Griff memorabilia, Suzy was more upset about Marty Junior dying. She then noticed him cleaning tables, looking very tired.

"Okay, you're not Marty III.. MJ, what happened?" She asked.

"Everything happened, and I think it's all my fault. Because I bought that stupid iPad!" Junior replied. "I die in 2033, and you know why? Because of this!" Junior slammed down the newspaper about Griff winning at the horse race in 2017.

"At least that gives us a good time frame. I met my mother, and she said she saw something weird on October 22nd, 2015." Doc explained.

"So, what, we just go home to stop this mess?" Suzy asked. "Time-travel is becoming more and more pointless…"

"Not a bit." Marty Junior said. "Sorry Suz, but Doc has a point. The future's not really written, nobody's is."

Suzy took out the picture of her gravestone, and noticed it erasing.

"What are you holding there?" Junior wondered.

"Uh, just a picture of our front yard from 2075. Let's go and confront Griff." Suzy suggested.

"Why are you so eager?" Doc wondered. "Is it your previous relationship with Griff that's making things so difficult? You just want to pay him back for how things ended?"

"That's basically it, yeah." Suzy said. "I'm sorry, but it was just awful how our relationship turned out."

"Well, considering Griff may still have his bionic implants, I'm not willing to risk him taking me down again." Junior said. "Especially since that could cause a paradox."

Doc and Suzy looked at Junior with surprise. "Hey, I listen!" He exclaimed.

"We never said you didn't. But that's a valid point. It's best that I go, considering I have more experience with time-travel." Doc replied.

"Can it wait? I miss my Pepsi Perfect." Junior said, walking over to the vending machine and looking for a Pepsi.

"Some people have priorities," Suzy chuckled. "It has been a while since we ate anything, though."

"Go ahead," Doc said. "Griff can't have banned good food." Doc then went and got some popcorn from a nearby dispenser, when suddenly, Cliff walked in.

"Hey, Marty! I told you not to bring friends around!" Cliff exclaimed.

"Technically, you didn't, but maybe you Tannens are too stupid to realize that?" Junior replied.

"I'm your brother. Don't talk to me that way." Cliff protested.

"Leave him alone. Say, Cliff, look at the ceiling…" Suzy said. Cliff did look at the ceiling, giving Suzy time to kick him.

"Dang, Suz. I didn't know you knew karate." Marty Junior remarked, impressed.

"Yeah, I spent some time at a dojo last summer. Big deal." Suzy laughed.

"Hey, I have an idea." Marty Junior suggested.

"Yes?" Doc and Suzy asked.

"Let's make a run for it. You know, just in case Cliff wakes up…" Junior began.

"Too late!" Cliff yelled, rising up. He chased the three time-travelers out the door, but accidentally slipped on a wet concrete slab.

"Concrete? I hate concrete!" Cliff groaned, but the other three paid no attention to him.

"We need to split up. We can't spend too much more time in this bad future, but we've learned enough that we can make some progress." Doc explained, as he, Marty Junior, and Suzy came to their senses and stopped walking.

"C'mon, Doc, you've seen the movies." Suzy said. "Splitting up never works."

"Maybe we can find the Jaguar? Considering we don't want to leave it unattended for this timeline to become even worse?" Junior asked.

"Great idea," Doc said. "While you're doing that, I'll talk it over with Griff and you guys can go find it in Hilldale, since I doubt it's been moved."

"More like Helldale, Doc. But what if this doesn't work?"

"Then call me on this walkie-talkie. Phones bring too much attention." Doc said, handing both Suzy and Junior phones. "Good luck."

"You too, Doc." Suzy said, and Junior nodded. Doc walked off soon afterwards, as the two of them made their way towards where Hilldale was supposed to be.

"I'm shocked we can still find our way around." Suzy realized.

"Well, Hill Valley's layout doesn't change." Junior replied. "No matter what Griff does, he can't change the essence of it."

"You're absolutely right," Suzy replied, giving Junior a peck on the cheek. "Even if it takes us a while to get out of this mess, something still tells me we will succeed."

Doc, wearing a security guard uniform, made his way up the rickety staircase that graced the mansion Griff was said to live in, at least according to the town directory. Doc had been surprised to find it, considering Griff owned many apartments in town under his name. Still, he guessed Griff was wealthy enough to afford all of it in this timeline. Not to mention what his mother had said about another Tannen, presumably Biff, getting away with this. Doc pushed open a nondescript brown door to see Griff lying in a hot tub alone, watching Out of Africa. "Huh. I guess he really does like period pieces." Doc bemused, causing Griff to turn around.

"That's funny, Agent Collins, you don't sound like yourself at all." Griff noted.

"Really? I noticed the same thing with your son earlier." Doc replied.

"Which one, Cliff?" Griff stood out of the tub, put on a shirt, and reached for a knife.

"No, Marty III. I guess that Irish boarding school never worked out?"

"You're damn right it never worked out, you impostor!" Griff took the knife, and stepped closer to Doc. "Now, reveal yourself."

"Well, alright, if you insist." Doc removed his helmet. Griff was dumbfounded.

"Well, well, well. I'd recognize that stupid cap anywhere. Verne Brown. I thought after slaughtering some of your family, you'd stay out of town."

"At any rate, you're not a poet, and you're not gonna get to my family. Now, there's something we need to discuss."

"I don't care if you've gone senile from your rejuvenation, or have just wanted to hear about your brother's gory death again, you bottomface."

"Pity. Can't even get your catchphrases right. Now, what's that, Griff?"

"Ha, nice try. I'm not falling for that one." Griff jumped on his desk, and aimed out a gun. "You have five seconds to explain yourself, or you're gonna get it."

"I just want to know how you came to be in possession of a certain iPad almanac listing sporting events from 2010 to 2060."

Griff was surprised. "So, this is what my grandson meant when he said some dude in a funny hat would come get the iPad."

"Your grandson? He visited you?"

"That's right. I didn't believe him at first, but over the years, I've come to realize that he was right. Funny how we met while I was in a cell on the 22nd…"

"I do wish we hadn't abolished lawyers. But while you may be a bit smart for a Tannen, you are a Tannen nonetheless."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Doc then shot a light fixture, causing Griff to stumble off of the desk. He took out the walkie-talkie. "Guys, come in. It's Doc. I'm at Griff's house, on the second floor. He's unconscious, and says he got the device from Driff at prison on the 22nd, so can you come pick me up? Over." He said.

"We hear you, Doc, and we're coming. Just give us a bit. Over." Marty Junior said. Doc walked over to the window, waited a few minutes, and sure enough, the Jaguar soon appeared, Suzy and Marty Junior's faces illuminated by the moonlight.

"Hop in, Doc." Suzy said. "We've got a present to fix."

"And future history to change." Marty Junior added.

"Don't mind if I do," Doc said. He got into the Jaguar, and the trio took off into the skies.
