The Final Deposit
Summary: Peter adds one last item to his Caffrey box, a final deposit.
Peter slowly moved the item from hand to hand committing every aspect of it to his memory, it's size, weight, texture. Neal had found it on his first day in the White Collar offices and Peter couldn't count the number of times Neal's playing with it had driven him to distraction. Now those recollections were treasured memories. Handling it as if it was made of the finest porcelain, Peter made what would be the final deposit into his Caffrey box as he reverently place the rubber band ball in amongst what were now, and would for evermore be, cherished mementos.
Notes:
I don't know why, but this annoying little gremlin took up residence in my mind last night (16 November) and refused to let me be until the above drabble appeared.
