Hello there! Welcome to my Tinkerbell fanfiction, hereby dubbed Tinkerbell: The Fairy Princess. Now, if you are previous readers of my Frozen 3 fanfic, then you'll already know this, but if you're new to my work, then I make it known before each new story that I write in a style that I call "Novel Movie Script" Basically, I write the story as though it were already in movie form when it comes to character interactions and scene changes, but in novel form when it comes to settings/descriptions/etc.
I decided to write this story as I loved the Tinkerbell movie series and was sad that they cancelled the next upcoming film. So I decided to make a new "film" based off an idea I had when I rewatched the scene of how Tinkerbell was born and found her talent. Now be warned, it will kind of give off a sort of 'Avatar: the Last Airbender' vibes, but I promise that it won't be the same. And I also know that there are like a ton of talents for them to have, but from my research the talents tend to fall under certain categories, like there's a basket-weaving talent which falls under the Tinker category. So I won't go into too much detail on talents themselves, and more on the impact they have towards the main character of the story. I'm not using the books as I'm not quite sure how relevant they are to the Tinkerbell movie series as a lot of key elements from the books are missing. Hope you guys enjoy!
(We open this story to see the little nature area in the mainland where our fairy friends visited in the first film. As the narrator speaks, the scene changes from Spring with blooming flowers, to Summer with light rays hitting the water, to Autumn with various colored leaves falling from the trees, to Winter with up close shots of snowflakes to see their different shapes. Then we see the night sky with the two stars, the second shining brightly for a second before fading out)
To all those whose faith is strong and whose hearts are filled with wonder and love, they can tell you this story which you're sure to find true. That with every new flower that blooms in the spring, to every ray of light that shines brightly in the summer, to the leaves that fall with their many colors in autumn, to even the snowflakes with their delicate designs in winter, it's all the work of fairies. And while they may stay out sight, you might catch a glimpse of them if you try. Simply look to the night sky, towards the second star to the right, and always remember…to believe.
Sun light rose up and brought the day to Pixie Hollow. Fairies began to pop out from their homes and set about to their respective jobs. Garden fairies began working with their various plants, some painting petals to some tending to new bulbs. Rosetta grew several pink and purple flowers of different shapes and sizes, giving a nod of approval before flying off towards her next task. Silvermist was skating on the water's surface, while Iridessa flew overhead and adjusted a ray of light in the sky, which landed down below where Fawn was working with a baby bunny. Vidia flew past her with great speed, and continued flying as she flew past Tinkerbell, who was hammering at a new contraption she was making, with Clank and Bobble nearby bringing her parts. All was well for another day in Pixie Hollow.
Suddenly, while everyone was diligently working, a sound echoed from above that made them all pause. It was the soft coo of a baby's first laugh. The sound ringed in the air, as everyone looked up from what they were doing and towards the sky. Floating through the air was a white flower petal, the baby's laugh reverberating from it.
Tinkerbell, while looking up towards it, said "Hey, is that…?"
"It's a new arrival! Come on Tink, we have to go to the Pixie Dust tree for the ceremony! Let's go Bobble!" Clank stated with elation, and him and Bobble eagerly flew off to the tree.
"Right behind you!" Tink called out to them
Tink quickly shut the on the new invention she was working on and took off to the tree. With the petal's arrival, fairies began flying towards the pixie dust tree, while Vidia and another fast-flying fairy escorted the petal with their winds.
Meanwhile, at the Pixie Dust Mill, Terence, Zarina and all the other Dust-talent fairies gathered around Fairy Gary.
"Alright everyone, I've just been told we have ourselves a new arrival on the way to the Pixie Dust Tree. I need myself a volunteer to bring the ceremonial cup for their arrival."
Just before anyone could even react, Zarina's hand whipped up and she cried out "Ooh! Pick me! Pick me! I haven't got to do it in so long!"
"Well alright then, I guess we have our volunteer. Zarina, go on and get the cup and fill it with dust. The rest of us will head to the tree."
All the other Dust-talent fairies fluttered out of the mill, while Zarina flew over to a tall shelf and grabbed the Arrival Day ceremonial cup from the top level. However, instead of going to fill it with the golden dust, she looked over her shoulders to make sure everyone had left and then zoomed over the room that held the powerful blue pixie dust. She quickly unlocked the container and peaked inside, seeing the bright blue glow of the dust.
Taking out a baster, she looked at the dust and took in a deep breath, then said quietly "26 specs. No more and no less…I'm going to get in so much trouble for this" She extracted 26 specs of blue dust, then gently poured them into the cup.
"But I have to know"
She put a leaf over the blue pixie dust specs then slowly flew over to the pixie dust waterfall in the mill and let the golden dust fill the cup. Once it was filled up, she gave it one last look, a look that was almost unsure of herself but then changed to determination, before flying out of the mill.
Once at the tree, while the fairies settled in and were watching with fascination and excitement, Vidia and the other fast-flying fairy gently pushed the petal onwards, and then softly landed on the major platform where the pixie dust waterfall fell. Tinkerbell made it just in time to settle next Fairy Mary, Clank, Bobble and two other Tinker fairies on a nearby branch.
"I just love seeing new arrivals! " Tinkerbell whispered to Fairy Mary with glee
"Yes, and I'm hoping we got ourselves a new Tinker, we could use an extra pair of hands" Fairy Mary whispered back
"I know that we fairies are born from the first laughter of a baby, so how come there aren't new arrivals like…all the time?" Tinkerbell whispered with slight confusion
"Well, sadly not all laughs become new fairies." Clank whispered to her with a slight shake of his head
"Which is a quite the shame, if you ask me" Fairy Mary whispered back, shaking her head slightly as well
"Yeah, you're telling me" Tinkerbell nodded with a smirk
"Shh, it's time" Bobble held a finger to his lips and pointed down to the pixie dust waterfall.
They all watched with silent anticipation as Zarina flew over with the ceremonial cup of pixie dust. Looking down at the petal, she gave a nervous intake of breath and poured it over the white flower petal. The golden dust showered the petal, but then the blue pixie dust fell out and there was a gasp of shock from the crowd around her.
"She used blue pixie dust!" A sparrow man cried out and pointed to Zarina.
Zarina looked around her with nervousness and slight guilt on her face. More and more fairies and sparrow men began loudly gossiping and chattering about what they had just seen. Fairy Gary looked on in shock before putting a hand to his forehead and muttering "Not again" Tinkerbell looked down in shock before quickly flying down to where Zarina was, with the rest of her friends following suit
"Zarina, what did you do?!" Tinkerbell asked, as the other came up behind her
"I…I just wanted to know" Zarina said, unsure of what else to say
"Sweetheart, this is going to get you in more trouble then what happened with the mill before!" Rosetta said with a mix of worry and slight scolding.
"Oh no, look!" Iridessa pointed to the petal
The pixie dust, having been mixed with the blue dust, began to multiply and swirl around the petal in a sort of dust tornado. The girls backed up just as Fairy Mary and Fairy Gary flew up to join them. The dust tornado spiraled higher and higher until finally it collected itself in the air and puffed out into a shower of gold and blue dust, leaving only the petal behind. The petal then transformed into a young girl with long deep green hair that fell down her back. Her skin was a lovely honey color with eyes that were a brighter shade of green and the petal she was born from was now draped across her body as a makeshift dress.
However, the real shock was the wings on her back, which were much different from all the other fairies and sparrow men. In fact, they resembled that of Queen Clarion's wings, though they were smaller due to her size, as well as the designs in them were different and instead of gold they were pure white, like her petal dress. Even more so, instead of being slouched down due to lack of pixie dust, they were perfectly upright, ready to fly at any moment.
"Woah" Tinkerbell quietly exclaimed in amazement.
The new arrival looked around with wonder as she saw all the other fairies watching her, who were whispering to one another in excitement and shock. When she saw Tinkerbell and the others standing nearby, she slowly lifted herself up and looked around some more.
"Where…where am I?" She quietly asked to the group
But before any of them could answer, a voice called out with authority in their tone, saying "What is going on here?!"
The voice came from the Minister of Spring, who was accompanied by the Ministers of Summer and Autumn. They flew down to the girls, who stood next to the new arrival with worry crossing their faces, while Fairy Gary and Fairy Mary flew over to the Ministers.
(Now just FYI, I'm only going to mention the three ministers of the seasons because of the whole continuity issue that the Secret of the Wings movie brought to the series.)
"Ministers. I'm sorry, but it so happens that one of my dust fairies mixed blue dust into the Arrival Day ceremonial cup and used it to awaken our newest arrival." Fairy Gary apologized, indicating to Zarina with worry and uncertainty in his gestures and expressions.
"What?! You mixed in blue dust?! Do you have any idea what could have happened to the young one if something had gone wrong?! Had you any consideration for her life?! We might have allowed you to use the blue dust for your Pixie Dust Alchemy but that did not give you the right to use it freely whenever you wish!" The Minister of Spring began to scold Zarina, who lowered her head in shame.
"Now, now my friend, let us all calm down. We won't get any answers through scolding her" The Minister of Autumn put a hand on the Minister of Spring's shoulder.
"It seems we're going to have to wait for those answers. Queen Clarion has arrived" The Minister of Summer said
Orbs of golden dust swirled around and joined together, from which Queen Clarion took form. When she looked down, she gave a small gasp at the sight of the new arrival and her wings, then looked to see the Ministers, Tinkerbell and the other girls, Fairy Mary and Fairy Gary all looking back at her with uncertainty. The Queen's eyes narrowed a bit at the sight of it all.
"And just what has happened here?" Queen Clarion asked with a serious, yet soft tone
