After her talk with Numbuh 1, Nikita left Sector V's treehouse and set off on her own to find a cure for Sector Z. She was still determined to free them from their delightfulization no matter what the cost. Even though this would mean facing Father's wrath in the process.
"Father would be really pissed off if I do manage to free Sector Z from his clutches." Nikita said.
She was also worried about what the rest of the KND would do if she freed Sector Z. The team was by now older than the current generation, so she knew that Numbuh 86 and her decommissioning squad would not hesitate to decommission Sector Z once she cures them.
"I'll just have to protect them from Numbuh 86, that's all." Nikita said.
Easier said than done: she remembered when Numbuh 86 and her squad hunted down Sector V when Chad aka Numbuh 274 changed their ages in order to hide his own age from the KND. But that was before she found out he was an undercover agent for the KND.
"If Numbuh 86 knew how old Sector Z really was, she'll have them decommissioned on the spot. But I won't let that happen, not on my watch." Nikita said to herself.
As she flew across the sky, she stopped right near the Delightful Mansion where the Delightful Children and Father lived. She landed on the roof and spied on them from outside while making sure not to get spotted.
"Now my dear children, here's my newest invention that'll bring down those KND once and for all." Father said. "Why, father. This is the most brilliant idea you've ever come up with." The Delightful Children said. "Thank you, my darling children." Father said.
Just seeing this scene was enough to make Nikita wither in disgust. She hated seeing the Delightful Children supporting Father like that.
"I know it's not entirely your fault: you're all under the plight of the delightfulization process. Which is why I'm going to save you guys from him and from yourselves." Nikita said.
Suddenly, she slipped and barely held onto the rooftop. But this got Father and the Delightful Children's attention.
"What was that, Father?!" The Delightful Children asked panicky. "Must be one of those Kids Next Door! Sound the alarms!" Father shouted.
Panicking, Nikita quickly flew away from the mansion and all the way onto the outskirts of town. She landed beside a few trees and took a quick break to catch her breath. That was a close call as she was almost caught by Father and the Delightful Children.
"Whew! That was close. Almost got caught by Father and those Delightful Children." Nikita said.
She knew that she had to be careful so as to not get caught by any of the villains in this world or many others. She knew that her mission to free Sector Z wasn't going to be easy. In fact, this was going to be a very difficult mission. But this wasn't going to stop Nikita as she was still determined to free Sector Z from their delightfulization.
"I'm still going to save them from Father, no matter what it takes." She said.
Back in Lycantropolis, NightStar was cleaning her room with help from her handmaiden Noriko. This was one of the many chores she has to do at home before going out on adventures.
"I think we're almost done, Noriko." She said. "Indeed, this room is almost clean." Noriko said.
Just as they were almost finished, Nikita came into the room.
"Hello, Nikki. How was your trip to the KND world?" NightStar asked. "It was okay. NightStar, we have to go save Sector Z right now." Nikita said. "What do you mean?" NightStar asked. "I can't wait anymore. We have to search for a cure for Sector Z." Nikita said. "I made a promise to free them and I'm going to keep that promise."
NightStar and Noriko had never seen Nikita so determined to fulfill her promises before. They knew she kept promises and that she'd do everything in her power to fulfill them.
"Nikki. How are we going to find a way to restore Sector Z back to their original selves?" NightStar asked. "We'll just have to use magic to do the job." Nikita said. "Delightfulization is technology based, so maybe really strong magic can be used to purge it." Noriko said.
She had a vast knowledge of all the different types of magic in the multiverse. She learned about them through reading in school as a child before becoming a handmaiden for the royal family.
"There must be some type of spell that'll be strong enough to purge the delightfulization from Sector Z." Noriko said. "Well, I'm in. Am I finished with cleaning my room?" NightStar said. "Indeed, your majesty. Your room is nice and clean." Noriko said.
Once her chores were finished, NightStar accompanied Nikita on her mission to free Sector Z. Nikita suggested that they head into different worlds to find a spell strong enough to purge the Delightful Children's delightfulization.
They traveled to Mewni, the Boiling Isles, and other places, but they couldn't find the right spell that would free Sector Z. Finally, the girls arrived at the land of Ooo, where Nikita's friends Finn and Jake reside.
"I just hope there's something here that'll help us." Nikita said.
They made their way to the Candy Kingdom where Princess Bubblegum, Finn, and Jake were chatting with each other. They stopped when they noticed Nikita and NightStar heading their way.
"Nikki! NightStar! What a pleasant surprise. What brings you all the way here in the Candy Kingdom?" PB asked. "You remember when I said I needed a quick favor from you?" Nikita asked. "What's this all about?" Jake asked.
Nikita immediately explained the whole situation with them. She told them everything about the Delightful Children and their true selves as the KND operatives, Sector Z.
"And so we were wondering if any of you knew a magic spell strong enough to purge their delightfulization." She said. "I'm not so sure. Eleventy-billion folds of delightfulization can be hard to get rid of." PB said concerned. "But Peebs, Nikki sounds pretty desperate to save them." Finn said.
He knew how important this was for Nikita as he had an obsession with helping people too.
"Maybe there's something at the library that could help. You could go ask Turtle Princess." PB said. "Thanks, PB. I owe you one." Nikita said.
But as she and NightStar left, PB showed a deep concern in her mind. Finn could already tell that something was up.
"PB? Are you okay?" He said. "I've got a pretty bad feeling about this." PB said.
Meanwhile, at the library, Nikita and NightStar were talking to Turtle Princess who ran the library.
"You should check the ancient magic aisle." She suggested.
Once in the aisle, Nikita and NightStar started searching for anything that could help them with their mission. While NightStar began reading some books, Nikita spotted one book that caught her eyes.
"What is it, Nikki?" NightStar asked.
Nikita picked up the book and turned to a page that had a being named GOLB on it.
"This is exactly what we need to free Sector Z and bring them back." She tells her friend.
