Chapter 1
"See you later... Eren." Eren closes his eyes, feeling Mikasa's lips touching his. The pain in his neck means that Mikasa finally beheaded him, however, when he wakes up, he finds himself in the paths.
Staring at the stars in the sky, and the sand he's lying on, Eren notices that he's not alone. A little girl with slave clothes has been building his neck with sand.
"Mother Ymir?" Eren is confused about everything. When Mikasa killed him, she should be freed from the paths. "Why?"
Ymir suddenly picks up a branch and starts to write the words on the ground.
Time is running short, thank you for freeing me, however, your goal hasn't finished yet. Grave danger will come to Paradis and endanger your loved ones. The Founding Titan is no more, the power of the 8 will revive and stop the upcoming world. You all deserve a second chance.
"Grave danger? Don't tell me... even with the Rumbling, it is not enough to stop the hatred once and for all?" Eren yells in anger. "Then what the hell am I doing the few months?"
He starts to remember how he made Armin and Mikasa hate him and also the bad things he's done. Ymir sees the pained expression and she continues to write.
The curse is no more, you can pick 7 dead ones and give them a second chance, the 8 of you are the last Titans, only if you die will their power finally be freed.
Eren widens his eyes, so it seems that Ymir wants him to live after everything, and he can also pick 7 more people, and together, they will be the last Titans. But there is a slight problem, the world believes the Titans are gone, and he, the devil, was killed once and for all. If he returns, what will the world think? What will everyone think? What will Mikasa think?
Mikasa... deep down inside, he wants to return to her, wanting to have a family with her... His selfish desire of wanting to protect them from the hatred causes him to sacrifice himself and after 4 years from now, Ymir warns him that there is an upcoming danger that targets Paradis and his loved ones.
"I'll do it." Eren says. "If I can atone for my mistake, I'm willing to do it."
Ymir smiles as she shows him how to make a Titan before disappearing forever, and Eren decides to use what he learns to revive 7 more people before leaving the paths.
"Armin... do you really think things will go well?" On the ship, Annie asks while looking at Jean, Pieck, Reiner, and Connie, "To think that the same group who destroyed the walls betrayed Paradis and killed Eren, whom the Eldians revered, would serve as the ambassadors of peace negotiations between them and the allied nations..."
"I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to sink this ship." Pieck says.
"Have faith in Historia." Connie says. "Her majesty the queen, who without hesitation took Jean's family and my mother, under her protection, will surely protect us too."
"Or in our weakened state they might just..." Annie is cut off by Armin. "Annie, the conflict between people will never end. But if they see us all together like this, everyone would surely want to know what we experienced. Why the very same people who were at each other's throats not so long ago are now coming together to Paradis, to appeal for peace? We must tell them the truth of that story which unfolded before our very eyes."
"You're right about that." Reiner says.
At the same time, two hooded figures are standing on the same ship, and both of them are watching over the six people. One is a girl and one is a boy.
"Looks like they've been doing a good job with negotiating with the Western Nations..." The boy replies.
"Indeed. However... even though the negotiations are successful, there are still people who won't let this get over with. Just like Armin said, Conflict between people will never end. And according to Eren, a year later, someone is going to destroy Paradis Island."
"And that's why we were revived... not just humans, but Titan shifters... Though it is a pity that we can't just walk in front of them and just greet them..."
"Yeah...the food inside looks delicious as well... if only I can have some more..." The girl says as she leaves, causing the boy to sigh as he follows her.
"So what are you going to do with the remaining Yeagerists? Will you make sure that they're not going to go to extreme just like they did 3 years ago?" An ambassador asks Historia through the meeting.
Historia says, "It is true that we have been strengthing our military, but I trust all of you, we only do this to protect our people. It is true that the Battle of Heaven and Earth happened 3 years ago causes a huge loss of humanity, and there will be people who want to get revenge on us. I trust Armin and the others to negotiate in peace, and they will be returning with good news."
"I hope so." Another ambassador says.
After the meeting is over, Historia turns to see Hitch, she smiles, "Hitch. How is the military training going?"
"I guess you can say it's fine. With all the new weapons coming from Hizuru, everyone has been working hard on mastering them." Hitch says.
"I see..." Historia says. "You know... even after he paints himself as the bad guy for our sake, I still miss him."
As they're talking, two cloaked figures are also watching, also a male and a female. The male says, "It seems like Historia is doing a great job as the queen."
"I'm really proud of her. Though it is a shame I never get to learn about her more..." The female frowns. "What about you, what do you think about the military now?"
"I'm impressed at how they're working right now." The male says. "As much as I want to show ourselves, we can't do it until the time is right."
"You're right about that..." The female sighs as they leave the hall before anyone finds them.
In Marley, Gabi and Falco have been helping Levi move around the city. Levi is reading the newspaper and Falco sighs, "It has been 3 years since that..."
Gabi sighs, "Everything has changed so fast... three years ago, we still believed the island is filled with devils, but now they have been negotiating with the rest of humanity..."
Falco says, "You're right about that..." He turns to Levi, "Mr. Levi. Do you want to go out for a walk?"
"Don't get too cocky, brats. Just because I need you to help me with my body being cramped..." Levi sighs. "But it will be nice to have a walk outside."
"You really don't need to say the first line." Gabi says while they bring the two of them outside. And at the same time, two more people with cloaks continue to watch.
"So that guy is Levi Ackermann, the one you've been talking about this whole time?" The male asks the female.
"Yeah... though I never thought I would see the day he becomes like this..." The female frowns. "And I have to guess those two are also Eldians from Liberio like you?"
The male nods, "It is not something I'm proud of. Marley has been brainwashing us to believe we're the bad guys, and that's why they have to become Warrior Candidates and did something they regret later."
"It is also shocking for me as well, before my death, I never knew anything about Marley and the others. All I thought was killing Titans because they have been endangering humanity." The female frowns, "And I never though I would be the Titan which killed me..."
"Same here, although I have been prepared to become a Titan myself, though I got the different Titan instead." The male says as they decide to leave.
"Eren... everyone will soon be here to meet you." Close to the tree, Mikasa is sitting beside Eren's gravestone. "You're happy, right?"
Not far from them, Eren and another female are watching her from afar. The girl asks, "Brother Eren... you've been keeping an eye on her for so long, when are you going to show yourself to her?"
"It is not that easy, Fay." Eren says. "I hurt her a lot and it is not that easy for me to just talk to her."
Fay Yeager is one of the 7 people Eren decides to revive since she died at the age of 8. She is supposed to be his aunt, but because of her age, Eren decides to make her his sister instead.
She knows everything about what her old brother, Grisha, has done, and how he was supposed to be her nephew, Eren also told her everything about what he's done, but she never hated him for anything, which is something very grateful for him.
"Eren..." Eren and Fay notice Mikasa closes her eyes with tears forming from her eyes. "I wish... I could see you again..."
Fay says, "What are you waiting for, Brother Eren? She makes it clear that she wants to see you again."
Eren sighs as he slowly walks towards Mikasa, and carefully wraps the scarf around her neck. He is careful not to wake her up, and after it's done, Mikasa puts her hand on the scarf and mutters, "Thank you... for wrapping this scarf... around me, Eren..."
Eren sees Mikasa's sleeping face as she seems to have a good dream, he pecks her cheeks and says, "You're welcome."
After that, Eren stands up and leaves with Fay. Fay says, "Are you sure it's fine?"
"It's fine, let's go..." Eren says while holding her hand and leaving. At the same time, Mikasa slowly opens her eyes and touches the cheek where Eren plants the kiss on. She also notices the two people in the far distance.
"Strange... there shouldn't be anyone around here..." Mikasa is confused as she decides to go after the two people. And once she stops, she notices 7 houses in front of her.
"Are those houses here before?" Mikasa is confused until she decides to hide behind a tree while noticing the 2 people before sitting down with the other 6.
Eren asks, "So how did it go? Anything suspicious?"
"The negotiation with the West nations are doing well, thanks to Armin and the other ambassadors."
"Historia is also doing great as the queen, the military is also strengthening with the new weapons."
"And nothing happened so far in Marley."
"I see... that's good to know." Eren says.
"Those voices... it can't be... how is that even possible?" Mikasa gasps in shock, just then, she decides to quickly run away, a girl notices the sound and asks, "Hey guys, there is someone over there..."
Eren stands up and decides to check, and Mikasa already hides inside the bushes. Eren looks around and says, "There's nothing here. Let's just continue the meeting."
After Eren leaves, Mikasa quickly flees the scene until she arrives back at her home, she kneels and says, "Eren... he's returned..."
Here is the first chapter, this story is my own version of the sequel of the Attack on Titan main story. There will be a lot of reminiscing scenes, and also the upcoming danger. The story will be based around the 8 people who, in the eyes of the other, believed they are dead. You can try to guess who are the other 6 people that Eren chose to revive, and what kind of Titans they are. I hope you like this chapter.
