Devil's Advocate

Richard Newman and his wife Theresa couldn't believe it was Halloween already. The director in charge Mary Lewis had asked all of those residents wishing to come up to the third floor to pick out a Halloween costume.

Theresa had told her husband Richard still recovering from the past month's abduction by Richard Long now dead. He's not been himself of late and Theresa had been concerned in spite of the fact they were now separated for the time being.

Taking the elevator ride up to the third floor around eight-thirty a.m. in the morning. The door was opened as Mary Lewis had been going over all of the activities today with the party in the afternoon along with the catered food in the auditorium.

Theresa had advised Mary and her husband that she wanted to wear a Devil's costume since she was always afraid of the devil ever since she was a little girl. Walking inside the office with boxes of costumes sitting on the tables. Mary had Theresa's costume ready for her to be trying on in four different sizes.

It was beginning to be busy with more of the residents showing up for their costumes. Was I another resident that I wasn't able to see the face before trying it on in one of the dressing areas?

Theresa had found this strange at first as she had asked Mary Lewis how many residents had picked out the devil costumes.

She was sitting at her desk inside the alcove. She will say the following to Theresa showing Mary that she had all of the pieces since she will be wearing a medium, while the other was a small frame version.

"You're all set Theresa with the costume for you to be wearing right now and later for the party," Mary noted.

"By the way where is Richard?" Mary Lewis had to ask at the moment.

"He's downstairs having breakfast with some of his friends. He's not exactly in the best of mood Mary ever since he's been hit over the head a few times over the years. He's still having emotional dishevel with his doctors telling him to take it easy." Theresa tells her as the resident that had tried on the second Devil's costume walked out to begin the nightmare...
