Chapter 10: Battle of Beacon

*In the Fairgrounds, Shadow's POV*

The students were running away from the Grimm as Atlas soldiers were shooting at the Grimm but they didn't stand a chance. I can't believe what just happened. I hope my kids and Sonic are doing okay.

"I don't believe this," Weiss said. "We need to call the others." Tails said. "I've been trying to call Sonic but he hasn't been answering," I said. "I'll call Yang," Blake said. Blake takes out her scroll and calls Yang. "Yang, are you okay?" Blake asked. "I'm fine. Is Ruby and Lana with you? They are not answering their scrolls." Yang said. "No, they aren't," Blake said. "I'm sure they're fine. She's our leader, she can take care of herself and Lana." Blake said.

"Right," Yang said. "This can't be happening," Weiss said. "Well, it is," I said. "There's so many of them." Tails said. "Penny... Lana..." Weiss said. "I'm heading to the docs near the courtyard. White Fang are releasing Grimm into the school!" Yang said. "What?!" I shouted. "The White Fang is here?! Yang!" Blake shouted. "Gotta go! Be careful!" Yang said. Yang ends the call.

"Blake, what are we gonna do?" Weiss asked. Blake takes out her scroll. "We're going to the docs. And we're doing our jobs." Blake said. "Alright!" Tails said. Weiss nodded. "I'm with you," Weiss said. "You coming, Shadow?" Tails asked. "Of course. I need to find my family." I said. Blake put her hand on my shoulder, which shocked me.

"We'll find them. Don't worry." Blake said.

*In the colosseum, Lana's POV*

I watched as the Nevermore cawed and tries to break the glass again. "Warning: Safety barriers breaking." The announcer said. Pyrrha and I stood up and looked at Penny who was broken into parts. Pyrrha and I couldn't speak.

"Pyrrha! Lana! Pyrrha! Lana! That things gonna break in, you guys gotta move!" Jaune yelled. Jaune goes down to the stage and run toward me and Pyrrha. "Jaune!" Nora and Sonic yelled. "Pyrrha, Lana, please snap out of it!" Jaune cried. The Nevermore goes for another hit and the barrier shatters and blows us away.

"Woah! Now that's a bird!" Sonic cried. As the Nevermore goes for another attack, Ruby uses her semblance to hit the Nevermore with Penny's sword.

"Ruby?" Pyrrha said. "Mommy?" I asked. "Leave them alone!" Ruby yelled as she pointed her sword at the bird. "Ruby! Nice one! And where did you get that? Wait, that doesn't matter right now." Sonic said. "We need to save them," Amy said. "Amy, what should we do?" Cream asked. "You go find somewhere to hide or get on a ship to evacuate. We'll take care of this." Amy said. "Alright." Cream said. Cream left the battlefield to go hide.

As the Nevermore goes for another attack, Sonic runs toward it and slides under it, and kicks at the bird. The Nevermore flies around them and goes straight for them but lockers stopped the bird from moving and pinned it down. All of the students from the tournament come out to the stage and grab their weapons from the lockers.

"Hey, guys! Nice timing!" Sonic said. The Nevermore gets back up and the students go to attack it. Ren goes on top of the Nevermore and hits it with his weapon. Nora jumps on the Nevermore and hits Nevermore with her weapon. Arslan swings Yatsuashie up in the air with her strings as Sage was also in the air. They both go down with their powerful swords and cuts the head of the Nevermore. The Nevermore disappears. Pyrrha and I look at Ruby and Sonic with tears in our eyes.

"Ruby I... I am so sorry." Pyrrha said. "Me too. But it wasn't you're fault." Ruby said. "I'm sorry Mom," I said. "Don't worry about it sweetie, this was not your fault," Sonic said. "They're right," Jaune says as he walks up to me and Pyrrha with Pyrrha's weapons in his hands. Sonic walks up to me with my weapons in his hands as well.

"Whoever was on the microphone. They're the ones that did this. And we have to make sure that they don't take anyone else." Jaune said and hands his weapons to Pyrrha. Pyrrha nods and takes her weapons. "What do you say, Lana? Are you up for this?" Sonic said. I nodded and took my weapons. "Let's do this!" I said. "Yeah! That's what I like to hear! Let's show these creeps and the ones responsible the real power of teamwork!" Sonic said. "Yeah!" I said as me and Sonic high-fived. More Grimm were coming as a Griffon comes down.

"Griffons," Ren said. "Anybody got a plan of attack?" Uncle Neptune said. "Just be ready," Mephiles said. "Sun. I need your scroll." Ruby said. Sun hands his scroll to Ruby. Ruby gets her locker and runs to get her weapon but a Griffon comes down and stops her.

"Ruby! Watch out!" Amy cried. As the Grimm was gonna attack Ruby, Professor Port shoots at the Grimm with his weapon.

"Students, I think it's best for you to leave." Professor Port said. "But we can fi-" Ruby started but was cut off. "Miss. Rose. This day will surely go down in Remnates history. I'd prefer it if my students could live to tell about it." Oobleck said. Ruby takes her weapon. "Let's go," Ruby said. "Yeah!" Sonic said. "Let's move out!" Mephiles said. "All of the students were running but Velvet stayed behind to take pictures. I stopped and looked at Velvet.

"Velvet?" I said. "Velvet!" Aunt Coco called. "Lana! Let's go!" Mephiles called. "Coming, Grandpa," I said. We all left the stage. "One final match, Barty! Place your bets!" Professor Port said.

People are screaming and running away from the Grimm as they line up in front of the ships to safety, but two more ships come and release the Grimm. The robots shoot at the Grimm, but they didn't stand a chance as the Grimm break them in half. Ironwood was looking at the Grimm as it was coming for him. Ironwood and the Grimm run towards each other as Ironwood takes his gun out and slides under the Grimm as he shoots at the Grimm. The Grimm goes to attack Ironwood, but he dodges it and stops the Grimm with his hand. Ironwood shoots at it and makes an explosion as the Grimm was in the air.

Ironwood slams the Grimm on the floor and shoots the head. The Grimm disappears. Me and the others ran up to Ironwood. "Look, it's Ironwood," Amy said. "What's going on?!" Ruby cried. "Grimm are crawling all over the city. The White Fang has invaded Beacon and to make matters worse some Vagabond has seized one of my ships so I'm- (Shoots at Grimm) Going to take it back." Ironwood said.

"What should we do?" Jaune asked. "You have two choices: Defend your kingdom and your school. Or save yourselves. No one will fault you if you leave." Ironwood said. "Duh! Of course, we're gonna defend our kingdom and our school!" Sonic said. "I would rather just leave." Scourge said. "Let's move out!" Ironwood said. Ironwood leaves.

"Come on. We can take a ship to Beacon." Jaune said. "Actually, Daddy," I said. "Yeah, Lana?" Jaune said. "I'm gonna go look for Weiss and Blake. I am worried about them." I said. "Okay. How will you get there?" Jaune said. "I will fly," I said. "Okay. Just be safe, okay?" Jaune says as he pulls me into a hug. "I will Daddy," I said. As the others were leaving, Sonic and I saw Ruby standing there. Sonic walks up to Ruby.

"Ruby, they'll be okay. Right now we have to-" Sonic stopped talking when Ruby kisses Sonic on the lips. Sonic blushed and kissed back. "Thanks, Sonic for helping me save our daughter. If we didn't then she would've been really hurt." Ruby said. "Don't. Just be glad I was there." Sonic said. Anyways, let's go." Sonic said. "Yeah," Ruby said. Ruby and Sonic left for the ship. As they left, I ran towards the edge and jumped of. I flew into the sky towards Beacon.

"Be safe, Lana," Ruby said quietly.

*In a ship, no POV*

"Hmm, let's see what does this button do?" Roman asked. Roman pushes the button and robots were falling from the sky as the back ship was opening. "Hmm alright, nothing," Roman said. Neo gives Roman his scroll.

"Oh, oh, oh. Now this one. This one is gonna be fun." Roman said. The inside of the ship turns red.

*In Beacon, Lana's POV*

When I got to Beacon, I saw Goodwitch and Uncle Qrow were fighting off the Grimm. As the robots were going to shoot, the robots turned red. "What?!" Goodwitch cried. I met up with Tails, Shadow, Weiss, and Blake.

"Dad!" I said. "Lana? Where are Sonic and the others?" Shadow asked. "They're on a ship, on their way to Beacon," I said. "Okay, good," Shadow said. "What's going on with the robots?" I asked. "I don't know, they just randomly turned red," Weiss said. The drones turned around to shoot.

"Look out!" Blake cried. Blake grabs Tails and Weiss and pushes them to the ground. Shadow grabs me and pushes me to the ground as well. We were surrounded by the robots as Weiss and Blake gets out their weapons. I drew my sword and my lasso out.

"Tails, Lana, stay close," Weiss said. "Hey, I can fight too!" Tails said. "Yeah, I can fight," I said. "Listen to your mother, Lana," Shadow said. Tails gets his cannon out.

"Woah!" Blake said. "Get ready!" Weiss said.

*In Ironwood's ship, Sonic's POV*

When Ironwood was flying his ship, the robots turned red and walked toward him. The robots shot at the ship, taking it down. "No!" Ironwood cried. Ruby and I watched with horror as the ship fell down.

"Oh no! Ironwood!" I cried. "No!" Ruby cried. Ruby and I ran towards the ship's door. "Ruby, Sonic, what are you doing?!" Sun shouted. "Sonic! Get back here!" Scourge yelled. I stopped to look at Scourge. "Scourge, at this moment, I don't really care what you have to say to me anymore," I said. Scourge smacked me hard, causing me to fall to the ground. "How dare you disobey me?! And how dare you call me by my name?!" Scourge yelled. As Scourge raised his hand to hit me again, Ruby grabs me and we jump out of the ship and skydiving in the air. We landed in the Colosseum.

"Thanks, Ruby," I said. "No problem. I won't let him hurt you." Ruby said. "So... why are we standing by the lockers?" I asked. "We're going up!" Ruby said. "Going up?" I asked. Ruby grabs her Cresent Rose and hooks it onto one of the lockers.

"Hang on," Ruby said. I held onto Ruby as the lockers instantly shot up into the air. "Woah!" I cried. The locker kept flying in the air until we landed on one of the ships. A big thud happened as Roman and Neo were in the ship.

"Go see what that is," Roman said. Neo nodded, then goes toward the ship.

*With Tails, Weiss, Blake, and Shadow, Lana's POV*

Tails shoot at the robots with his blaster and does a tail whip to destroy the robots. Shadow sped around and destroys the robots with his speed. Weiss uses her glyphs to go around fast to destroy the robots. I swung around on my lasso and kicked at the robots. I slashed at them with my sword. Blake uses her weapon to attack the White Fang. As one of the White Fang was going to hit Blake, Weiss uses her gravity dust to send all of them in the air and sends them back down to the ground.

We all see the Atlas soldiers fighting back against the big robot but it knocks them over. We then saw a ship crashing as it was releasing the Grimm.

"Huh?" Weiss said. We watched as an Alpha Beawolf attacks the people. "Be safe," Weiss said. "Be careful, Blake." Tails said. "I will," Blake said. "Stay close to Blake, Lana," Shadow said. "I will, Dad," I said. Blake and I head out toward where the ship was. Tails, Weiss, and Shadow went to help out people.

"Let's go, Weiss!" Tails said. "Yeah!" Weiss said. Blake and I ran towards where the ship was to the cafeteria but someone was there killing the soldiers. Blake and I stopped to see a person who was wearing black and red robes. He had red hair and a mask.

"Mom... Who is that?" I asked. "No. Adam?" Blake said. "Hello, my darling," Adam said as he smirked at us.

*With the students, no POV*

All of the students were fighting back as the Grimm was taking them out. Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury were on a rooftop, watching. "Beautiful." Cinder said. "It's almost sad," Emerald said. "It's horrendous. Focus on the Atleasien Knights." Cinder said. Mercury takes out his scroll and records.

"Oh oh, I'm getting all of it," Mercury said. "Good. Continue the broadcast until the end. And do not miss what happens next." Cinder said. Cinder walks away. Meanwhile, in Ozpin's office, Professor Ozpin looks at the footage of Beacon being destroyed and people in fear running away. Professor Ozpin takes his weapon as he was leaving, a big shake was happening in Beacon.

In Mountain Glenn, a thing was inside as the mountain was breaking for it to be a Grimm Dragon. The Dragon screeches as it flies over Beacon. The black drop fell to the floor as more Grimm was coming out of it. The students were ready in their battle stances as Professor Ozpin was outside. Pyrrha then walked towards Professor Ozpin.

"Where's she going?" Nora asked. "I'll go find out. You two stay here and keep fighting." Jaune said.

Cinder was on top of the building as her eyes get brighter and brighter with a smirk on her face.
