Chapter 5

(Jaune's dorm, next morning)

The next morning, Jaune woke up and relaxed. 'I am going to have to contact her and let her know what happened.' He thought, 'but I don't know what to say to her.' He reached for his scroll and looked at his top choice. [MOM] "Might as well do it." So he pushed the 'Send' button and the scroll called.

[Hello?] Said a voice.

"Um… hi Mom." He said.

[Hello sweetheart] He wasn't disappointed, [what's wrong?]

"There's something I need to tell you."

[Uh oh, what is it?]

"Have I got a story for you." He told her everything that had happened to him.

[While I am glad you are alright, you are coming home young man!] She demanded, Jaune was about to complain but she cut him off. [This weekend, you can still stay at Beacon. But the others haven't seen you in 5 years. Ten years for you.] Jaune sighed.

"Alright, I'll come home this weekend." He said so it was decided.

(Goodwhich's class)

Cardin went flying through the air hit the floor and rolled to a wall, "winner; Jaune Arc!" Said Glynda, "nicely done Mr. Arc." Jaune was in a black, sleeveless, underarmor shirt, black cargo pants, white gauntlets, and boots. He was wielding a shield on one arm and a xiphos in his other hand. He spun the sword, banged it on his shield, and sheathed it.

The others were in shock, they had never thought he was this good. Weiss still couldn't believe it, "HOW IS THIS DOLT THAT GOOD?" She yelled, Jaune stopped.

"Look I told you the entire story of how," he said. "So why are you complaining? Why are you so interested? Are you so upset about the fact that Ironwood is in prison, that you gotta hate on me? Tell you what, since you got so much energy, and want to bad mouth those that are not your type of people, why don't you take me on?" Glynda looked at him.

"Are you sure Mr. Arc?"

"Yes ma'am, I am Always Ready." He glared at Weiss.

Who in turn scoffed, "please I'll destroy you!" She said.

"I still challenge, it's on the table. Face me, or be proven as a coward!" Weiss just looked at Jaune who was, in turn, looking her in the eye. The class was whispering.

"Think she's going to do it?"

"Nah the Schnees, except Winter, are cowards." She heard everything.

"Ms. Schnee?" Said Glynda, Weiss looked like she had something foul. She did not want to be there, Ruby looked at her.

"Are you going to do it?" She said Weiss has to do or say something. Else she was going to label her a coward.

"I accept." She said timidly.

"What's wrong?" Asked Jaune, "you were talking big game before. Weren't you going to destroy me?" She knew everything he had done because he told her team. "You are a coward from the word say go. So, I don't expect you to fight me fair."

"Now who's the coward?" Said Cardin.

"Two words Winchester; pissed yourself." Cardin got mad and charged him, Jaune just knocked him out with a quick, straight left. Then he looked at Weiss, "well? We're waiting."

"I take back everything I said and deny your challenge." She said, then she sat down.

"Well," said Goodwhich. "If that's everything, class dismissed." Everyone started to leave when she stopped Jaune. "Have you called your family?"

"Yes, ma'am." He sighed, "she wants me to come home for the weekend."

"Very well I'll tell the headmaster."

"Thank you Ms. Goodwhich."

(Ohm's Hall, Lunch)

Teams JNPR and RWBY were eating when Cardin came in and started to mess with a cute brown-haired rabbit Faunus. She was in the academy uniform, he was pulling on her ears. "See I told you they were real." He said, not noticing that his team was now out cold thanks to her team. Then his wrist was grabbed onto and squeezed.

"Let go of her ear, NOW!" Said Jaune, Cardin looked over to him and saw he was going to beat the unholy hell out of him.

"Mind your business Arc!" He said and Jaune hit him again with a solid right cross, sending him down to the floor. The rabbit Faunus was let go, and Jaune started to rub the ear. His aura was warm, soothing, and comforting. She snuggled against him.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yes, thank you so much." She said as she hugged him. Just then her team came over. The first one was a beautiful woman with chocolate brown hair in a bob-cut, tired brown eyes, and in the peak of fashion. A barret, shirt, cargo pants, gloves, boots, shades, and a fanny pack.

"Hey, thanks for helping Velvet, Arc."

"No problem, Adel." He said, then they looked at Cardin. "If you ever mess with her again, I'm going to make your life a living hell!"

"He can too," said Adel. "I was there when he killed one of the most powerful dark dictators in the universe." Jaune then pulled out the dark kunai and started flipping it. "Is that…?"

"The 'Soul Sucker'? Yep." Adel paled, "so you still think it's a good idea to mess with my friends knowing I got this?" Cardin could feel the darkness rolling off of it. He quickly shook his head, then he and his team ran off. They went to sit down and eat lunch with his team and RWBY. "These are my childhood friends, team CVFY."

"Nice to meet you," said Adel.

"Did you see Jaune fight Shao Seid?" Asked Ruby.

"Fight him? He dominated him!"

"And who is Shao Seid?" Asked Weiss.

"One of the most powerful entities in reality." Said Jaune, and showed them a picture. (Thanoseid) If he can defeat someone like that, then why is he here?
