Takes place at the end of "Burned".
Product of too much coffee, and a stray thought that wouldn't leave.
"You hungry?"
"I can go for a bite, whose buying?"
"Well you are going through a divorce, and you do have four children, so I guess you are." Hearing this, Elliot lightly scoffs, before standing and holds his hand out to Liv. She grabs it, stands up and intertwines their hands, as they walk off the stoop, heading towards their local late night diner.
At the diner
After placing their order, Liv takes a sip of her water, before she reaches into her pocket, pulling out a folded piece of paper.
"I made a mistake earlier." She begins, her grip tightening on the paper. Knowing what she is going to tell him, will change things. Forever.
"Liv, listen…" he starts off, unsure what to say since the case earlier.
"It's not about the case, El."
Seeing the questioning expression on his face, she holds out the piece of paper towards him.
He reaches his hand out, and takes it from her slowly, unsure what it contains.
She nods towards it, indicating for him to unfold it, as she begins speaking, "I made a mistake when I said you had four kids, technically it's now five…" She drifts off, seeing him staring at the now unfolded paper. A copy of her sonogram from earlier that morning.
"I'm pregnant."
He glances up at her, a look of shock and disbelief on his face, before it morphs into the biggest grin she has ever seen on him; Her grin echoing back, relieved he is as happy as she is.
He stands up quickly and moves towards her, one hand going on her stomach, the other behind her head, as he quickly kisses her, then kisses her stomach, staring at it in awe.
"We're having a mini us," he says, the pure joy coming through in his voice.
"A mini us," Olivia says, unshed tears in her eyes, as she looks down at Elliot, who is now staring back up at her, before he kisses her again. A kiss full of emotion, love and pure adoration.
Just what the world needs, a mini Benson-Stabler.
