INTRODUCTION:

Sesshomaru, the heir of the Western Lands waits outside the door waiting for his father's meeting to come to an end. This meeting shall decide when he will have to find a wife to rule by his side when he becomes the Lord of Western Kingdom.

Since the start of time, all of royalty must marry in order to officially become a ruler. He has even hear of several instances when marriage was not made in time and the person had to give up on his hold of the throne.

Now that InuTaisho seemed to be almost ready to go to war against the Cat Youkai of the North, there is the slightest chance that he might not be about to make it alive. If InuTaisho indeed dies, Sesshomaru (first-in-line for the throne) will be the new Lord. For that he must get a queen as soon as possible.

"InuTaisho, I understand, but you KNOW its impossible by the laws of the lands for Sesshomaru to become the Lord before getting a wife. He must marry by spring, half-a-year away, before our armies actually launch our surprise attack! 6 months, I believe, is efficient enough," says one council member.

InuTaisho sighed. It was not his wish that his son be married so soon. But he couldn't bend the law just because of him. "6 months, then. No more, no less."
