Anne was in the basement, writing in her journal. She has only been in Amphibia for a short while, but she was starting to feel better. That was until the Planters came down. Anne closed her journal and put it in her bag.
"Anne, can we talk to you?" Hop Pop asked.
"Sure, what's up?"
"Well, there's been some... weird things going on around the house since you've been here."
Anne paled, there was no way they could be talking about... her powers.
"W-w-what kind of weird things?" Anne asked.
"Well, there's been more spider webs, there's been dirt on the ceiling, and-"
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get the house dirty with my powers!" Anne said.
"What are you talking about, we just wanted to know if you could help us deal with the spider nest that we got out of here when you moved in." Hop Pop said, "What are you talking about powers?"
Anne tilted her head.
"You really haven't noticed?" Anne asked, "I haven't been subtle with them."
"Please, I doubt we would be that oblivious." Polly said.
"Really? Think about it." Anne said.
The Planters think back to the past few days.
Hop Pop was on the couch, reading a book about being a failed actor, when Anne crawled on the ceiling past him.
"Hi, Hop Pop!" Anne said.
"Hello, Anne."
The wind blew Polly's bow off and got it stuck on the roof.
"Don't worry, Polly, I got this." Anne said.
Anne couched down and jumped, launching herself higher than the house. She landed on the roof and grabbed Polly's bow. She jumped off and landed right in front of Polly.
"Here you go."
"Thanks, Anne!"
Polly hopped away in her bucket. Sprig was outside and was using his slingshot to shoot bugs. One was coming up from behind him but he didn't notice it. It was about to attack him when a web hit Sprig's side. Anne pulled him away and she ran at the bug. She jumped up and punched it in the head.
"Okay, maybe you have a point." Hop Pop said.
"This is so cool!" Sprig said, "You're like a superhero!"
"Woah, I am not a superhero, I'm just a weird girl with spider powers." Anne said, "I just ruin everything I touch."
"Nonsense." Hop Pop said, "You may not be a superhero, but you clearly have these powers for a reason."
Anne smiled.
"Thanks, Hop Pop."
"Anytime, Anne." Hop Pop said, "Why don't you kids go out? Maybe show your powers to Sprig and Polly... far away from the town of course."
"Sure, you guys want to see that?" Anne asked.
"Yeah!"
"Alright, you go get ready, I have to do something really quick."
They left and Anne reached into her bag. She pulled out a black ski mask and looked at it. She wrapped her hand around it and tossed it to the ground.
"I'm not a hero."
