Disclaimer: Navy NCIS is the property of Belisaurius, Paramount, DPB, CBS, and all that jazz...The characters just run around in my head all day long, so I put them to work.
Tony and Kate were on the highway, driving back to work after going out to eat. As they were driving, Kate happened to glance out her window, and what she saw made her gasp. "Oh my gosh! Tony, look!"
Tony momentarily took his eyes off the road and they widened in horror at the sight. "Oh no. How are we going to tell Gibbs?"
"I think we should break it to him gently. It would be better than him just seeing it…dead like that."
"Yeah." Tony nodded.
The pair entered the bullpen, worry and concern etched on both their faces. They walked over to Gibbs' desk and stood there, silent and motionless, until he looked up from the file he was reading.
"What?"
Kate took a deep breath and began, "Gibbs, when we were driving back we saw something…"
"Shocking," Tony interjected.
Kate nodded and said softly, "And we wanted to prepare you before you saw it…"
"Well?" Gibbs asked when Kate paused.
She bit her lip. "Your coffee place…it's been demolished."
Author's Note: Yeah it was odd, but that really happened to me today, except that it was a McDonald's. Please review! Oh my goodness, I am so sorry, y'all! I had a blonde moment and posted the next chapter to "Stolen in the Night" on this story! "Beep. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Beep."
