Imagine what would happen if the serious Kikyou got "choked up" during a romantic scene, well, twistedly romantic in her case… Seeing as "romantic" for her, is asking InuYasha to die with her… I'm going to help your imagination with this one just a little bit. A re-done scene from the episode "Kagome's Voice and Kikyou's Kiss"

If you don't remember the scene, I'll lay it out for you before the change…

---

InuYasha has run off on his own, and while Miroku, Kagome, and Shippou try and decide whether or not to follow, they spy Kikyou's soul stealing demons and decide to follow them instead. They come across a barrier, but Kagome, being easily allowed through, is unaware. Miroku and Shippou, on the other hand, are stuck on the opposite side, wondering how Kagome had gotten through. Kagome, when finding none of them following her, figure they just found another way to go, and continues on her way.

Slipping, she falls upon a large tree with Kikyou up in the branches, resting, or asleep. Muttering to herself about the entire situation, Kagome asks herself aloud "Kikyou? Is she sleeping?" Either the noise woke Kikyou, or she wasn't truly asleep—either way, it was bad for Kagome, and she found herself tied to the tree, and turned invisible to all other eyes but Kikyou.

Now, being the 'evil' in this scene, as most 'evil' characters do when they're sure they'll succeed, Kikyou divulges her plan to take InuYasha with her to hell. Kagome, representing the 'good' side (as always, unless under control by one of the 'evil' characters), tries to tell Kikyou the truth about Naraku's plot and lies. Once more, playing out the part of 'evil', Kikyou simply refuses to listen, and waits for InuYasha to arrive.

Soon enough, InuYasha arrives on the scene, and, surprised at seeing Kikyou there instead of some soul-sucking demon, questions if it is her behind the stealing of souls recently. The soul-stealing miko explains everything to InuYasha and moves over to him, giving him a kiss. InuYasha falls unconscious, and Kikyou speaks again.

"Come to hell with me, InuYasha…"

Kagome, still invisible on the tree, is upset by a few facts of course. One, Kikyou captured her and made her invisible so that InuYasha can't see her. Two, she completely ignored every truthful word she said as if she were nothing more than lying scum. Three, she has kissed InuYasha. Once more, and while yelling at Kikyou's idiocy for asking InuYasha something so stupid, and while he was unconscious on top of it, she tries to tell Kikyou the truth about Naraku's scheme.

Now this is where it changes a bit. .

---

InuYasha wakes again, but still doesn't see the invisible Kagome on the tree. Kikyou is somewhat surprise that InuYasha has woken, but brushes it aside. She once more asks InuYasha that strange question.

"Please, InuYasha… Come to hell with me…"

InuYasha shakes his head. "But I can't, Kikyou, I have to be with Kagome…" he cuts off, Kikyou having backed away from him and bent over coughing.

The dog demon sweatdrops slightly. "Um… Kikyou… Are you choking on something?"

Kikyou quickly straightened, and pushed her hair out of her face. "Oh, nothing, just a soul that didn't want to go down. As I was saying… Come to hell with me, InuYasha."

Once more, InuYasha begins to explain that he has to stay behind here with Kagome and protect her, not to mention regain all the shards of the Shikon No Tama, but again, Kikyou is choking on a soul and once more, InuYasha questions if she's alright. Getting no answer, InuYasha rolled his eyes and simply knocks Kikyou out, 'rescues' Kagome, and returns to Miroku and Shippou.

When she wakes, Kikyou is silently cursing herself for taking souls that were 'too fresh' to go down easily.

Funny, eh? I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
