Put a few drinks in someone, and you'll see them relaxed and much more open than you would otherwise. Putting a few drinks in another was like being granted access to the side of them that only their close friends got to see, but without the obligation to be there when they needed you.
Throw in another few drinks, and you'll get to see that person acting like a damned fool - regardless of how they really are.
Sometimes, this can be a good thing.
Take Mido Ban, for example. Put a few drinks in him, and he becomes infinitely more tolerable; drinking wipes that stupid smug look off his face.
Throw in a few more - perhaps a dozen or so? - and you might get to witness the "Great Mido Ban" dancing around shirtless, being knocked about by pissed off women, or better still...you might get to see him hop on stage for drunken karaoke.
If you have a camera handy, and happen to hate that person passionately, this can be a very good thing.
