A/N: Please read and review?
At 2nd Time Around, inside on a wall near the door, was a certificate saying, 'University of New York, Bachelor's of Science', and a picture of young April, and her Uncle Augie.
April: The man in the hat is my uncle Augie.
Years ago, the two of them visit a museum, staring at a skeleton of a T-Rex, with Augie telling April what he knew.
Uncle Augie didn't just teach me math and science, he taught me to love them.
Augie picks April up and hugged her as they both laugh.
Later, they both lay under the stars and Moon on top of a hill, hearing crickets in the distance.
If it wasn't for him, I never would've have gotten my college degree in math.
Augie points at the sky as he talks, as they see a shooting star in the sky.
Later, they were both in a kitchen, standing near an oven as Augie opened it up.
Uncle Augie was always coming and going, off on adventures...
Augie picks up a tray full of streamed food, before turning around and showing them to April, who saw they were brunt.
...but we made the most of our time together.
They both laugh.
One day, Augie sat on a crate inside a room, fiddling with the Puzzle Cube.
Then one day, Uncle Augie just disappeared...
He finishes fiddling with it, as the points came out, then he got vanishes in a flash of light.
"AHH!" he screams.
The Puzzle Cube hits the floor, as April opens the door, and comes into the room.
...and he never came back.
April approaches the cube and picks it up, as the points go back into it.
I'd give anything to see my Uncle Augie again.
Years later, April stands in front of the picture in her shop, holding the cube.
I know he's alive and somehow, someway, I'm going to find him.
April approaches the picture and touches it, missing her Uncle.
In April's shop, April was dusting a head mannequin with a hat on that was on one of the glass cases, while humming happily. She then heard a thudding noise, making her turn around to the basement door.
"Huh?" she muttered.
She approached it and opened it up, seeing no one down the stairs.
"Is somebody down there?" she said, walking down the stairs slowly.
Once at the bottom, she walked towards a small hallway on her left, as she heard a familiar voice.
"Hey, you sure this is the place?" it said, who sounded like Raph. "Check the map?"
"I'm sure this is the place." came Cath's voice.
"Well, this better be the place, or we gonna have some 'splaining to do." came Mikey's voice, his last words in an odd accent.
April peeked around the corner and saw all six Turtles standing near a large hole in the wall at the end of the hallway.
"Guys?" she said, coming out.
She flicked the light on, as all but Donnie turned to her, who had his shell to her, with his leg bandaged from where Todd's tentacle had stung him.
"April." they said, as Donnie turned around.
"Hey, April." he said.
April approached Leo and hugged him.
"I'm so glad to see you." she said, pulling away.
She moved over to Cath and hugged her, before she pulled away and approached Donnie.
"But how did you guys get in here?" she asked, hugging him, before turning to the wall. "And what did you do to my wall?"
She pulled away from Donnie, seeing a large hole in the wall, with a tunnel on the other side.
"Donnie found an old map that showed an abandoned tunnel near your basement." Leo explained. "A little bit of digging and here we are."
"We're sorry about the mess through." Elisa assured. "It was the only way."
Later, they were all in the apartment above the shop, April and Donnie sitting on the couch, while Mikey and Elisa sat in nearby chairs.
"We had to find a way to see you without being spotted, for your safety." Leo explained.
"Especially since Karai, Little Miss Shredder, showed up at your shop." Mikey added.
"And with that Foot van outside monitoring the place, we can't get in through the doors or windows." Elisa added, folding her arms.
"Well, I'm glad you're here." April said. "I've missed you guys."
Donnie began to scratch his bandage, making Cath come over to them. "Ugh!" he moaned.
"What happened to your leg, Donnie?" April asked.
"Kind of a bug bite." Donnie answered.
"A really big bug." Raph corrected.
"Guys, it was a sting, not a bite!" Cath argued, turning to Raph. "We all saw it, remember?"
"She's right." Leo agreed.
Before anyone could speak another word, a knock came at the door, making the Turtles run off.
"Ah! Guys, you better..." April said, flinching, before she saw her friends had vanished. "...hide."
She walked over towards the door, then opened it up, seeing her older sister Robyn on the other side, holding two suitcases.
"Robyn?" she said.
"Hey, sis, how are you?" Robyn asked.
"Come on." April said.
Robyn stepped into the apartment and put the suitcases down, then they both hugged each other.
Nearby, Mikey and Elisa both peeked out from the spiral staircase in the middle of the room, as Leo hid behind a wall. Raph and Cath both hid behind the table in the kitchen, as Donnie hid under the table.
"I hope you don't mind me dropping in like this, but I just got in from the West Coast and thought I'd surprise you?" Robyn asked.
"Robyn, you're my sister." April said, as they pulled apart. "You're always welcome."
Robyn turned and looked around, worryingly April slightly.
"I thought I heard voices." Robyn said. "Is there someone else here?"
She picked up her suitcases.
"No. Nobody." April lied, touching her back. "Put your stuff in my bedroom."
She led her towards it while kicking the door shut.
"I'll make some coffee." she said, pushing Robyn into her bedroom.
She turned right, as Mikey and Elisa dived down the spiral staircase, as Leo jumped after them, followed by Raph. Cath and Donnie approached the staircase, then jumped down onto the top steps and waved at April, before they went down them. April then turned and walked into her bedroom to help her sister.
Later, April and Robyn both sat on the couch with a cup of coffee each.
"The last few months have been tough." April sighed. "My friends used to be around all the time. Now, I barely get to see them."
"What about your boyfriend, that Casey guy?" Robyn inquired. "How's he?"
"Casey's great. Crazy as ever." April smiled.
Robyn looked at her watch, then back at April.
"Sis, can I check my email?" she asked, getting up. "I'm supposed to hear back about a job."
"Sure, go right ahead." April said.
Robyn walked off towards the computer, pushing the chair towards as she did. She then sat on it, then began to type on the keyboard, when a big red X popped up on the screen, followed by a lot of weird symbols. April came up behind her and folded her arms.
"Is something wrong with your computer?" Robyn asked.
"There wasn't the last time I used it." April assured.
"Maybe it's got a virus." Robyn suggested.
"Shouldn't be, not with all the virus protection and firewalls I have programmed in there." April said, leaning on the chair.
In the Turtles new lair, Donnie was sitting at a table, that had a bunch of paper on it, which were his new notes and plans to replace the destroyed vehicles, when his Shell-Cell rang.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He picked it up and put it to his ear area, as Cath came towards him.
"Hey, April, what's up?" he asked.
"Don, can you come over later tonight?" April asked. "I need your opinion on something."
"Sure." Donnie said.
He put his Shell-Cell down, then got up and turned around to Cath.
"Where you going?" she asked, folding her arms.
"April's." Donnie answered. "She needs me."
"Okay, well, I'm going with you." Cath said. "That leg of yours might need checking."
"Fine." Donnie sighed, giving in.
Later, Donnie and Cath were with April in her store, standing near a case her computer was on.
"What's the problem?" Donnie asked, as they turned to it.
"My computer's being doing that all day." April explained. "But it's not like any virus I've ever seen before."
They all looked at the screen.
"Hmm?" Donnie muttered, looking at them carefully.
"What's your theory, bro?" Cath asked, knowing that look.
"There's something familiar about those symbols." he said, rubbing his chin, before he began to type. "Let me see what happens if I run it through a translation decompiler."
He stopped typing, then the symbols vanished, then the words 'O'Neil' popped up on the screen.
"O'Neil? What else does it say?" April asked.
"There are parts missing." Donnie said, as more words came up on the screen. "A cross-dimensional... help... artifact... save us, Professor...August O'Neil."
"Uncle Augie?" April questioned, shocked.
She turned around to the picture of him and young her.
"Could be, and it sounds like he's in trouble." Donnie said.
"But where could he be through?" Cath wondered, putting her hand on her chin.
April opened up a wooden box, which had the puzzle cube inside.
"Here's Uncle Augie's artifact." she said. "I haven't touched it since it took us all to that wasp world."
The puzzle cube began to glow, along with the symbols on the computer.
"Look at that?" Donnie said, pointing at it.
"Don, what do you think it is?" Cath asked, confused by what was going on.
"I think maybe the message came through the dimensional artifact and infected your computer, April." Donnie deduced, pointing from one to the other. "The main message is incomplete, but I recognize these symbols as dimensional coordinates."
The symbols stopped glowing.
"I scanned your Uncle's journal into my tech tab. The logarithms are identical." Donnie explained, holding it up.
"Then I'm using those coordinates to go after Uncle Augie." April said, as she turned and walked off.
"April, there is no way we're letting you go alone on something like this. I'm with you." Donnie said.
"And so am I." Cath said. "You've helped us a lot, and you're practically family to us."
"Thanks, guys." April said, holding up the puzzle cube, before she fiddled with it. "Setting coordinates, and Uncle Augie, here we come."
The points came out of the cube, which lit up, then all three of them vanished in a flash of light, leaving the puzzle cube to fall to the floor.
Later, in a weird alien city, a flash of green light showed up above a street, before April, Cath and Donnie all came from it.
"AH!" they yelled, falling.
They all hit the ground on their back/shells.
"Ah!" Donnie groaned.
"You two okay?" April asked, as they got onto their knees.
"I'm fine." Cath assured. "Don?"
"I think I left my stomach back in your shop, April." Donnie said.
They got to their feet and looked around at the city.
"What is this place?" April asked worriedly.
She gasped as Cath and Donnie took out their weapons and looked around, before seeing large shadows approaching them.
"I don't know, but here comes the welcoming committee. And they don't look very welcoming." Donnie said.
The figures revealed themselves to be large green tailless lizards with armour, staffs and shields. They all moved aside as a larger one came towards them, holding an axe, and had reddish/brown skin.
"Okay, this is weird." Cath mumbled.
"Uh, we come in peace?" Donnie said.
"Ah, good." the red lizard said kindly. "Welcome, strangers. Have you come to aid the magician?"
"Huh?" Donnie muttered.
"Ah..." April muttered.
"Uh..." Donnie muttered, as he and April turned to each other.
"The magician?" Cath questioned, confused.
"Uh, yes." Donnie said, nervously. "The magician, right."
"Excellent." the red lizard said. "This is good. We must bring you to the magician immediately."
A little later, April, Cath, Donnie and the lizards all walked around a circular building.
"This place is amazing, April." Donnie said. "Some kind of super advanced civilization."
"Yeah, I agree." Cath said quietly. "But...I don't trust these lizards. They don't look too friendly to me, and they're not like Leatherhead."
Inside a large airy chamber was a puzzle cube, bigger than the one April had, while a Human man sat at a table, working on a computer. The red lizard entered the room, followed by April, Cath and Mikey, and then they approached the man.
"Magician, you have visitors." the red lizard explained, as they stopped.
April gasped as the sight of the man.
"Huh?" Donnie muttered.
"Is that...?" Cath muttered.
The man got up from the chair and turned around, then gasped, for it was Augie.
"April? It can't be." he said. "But it is! April!"
He ran towards her as the two Turtles smiled.
"Uncle Augie, you're all right!" April said happily, running towards him.
They both hugged each other, then pulled apart and danced around each other laughing.
"Better than ever, sweetie." Augie said.
"I just love family reunions." Cath said happily.
Augie turned to her and Donnie.
"Uncle Augie, I want you to meet my friends, Donatello and Catharina." April said.
"Donatello." Augie said, shaking his hand, before shaking Cath's. "Catharina. I take it you both must be from some strange world in another dimension?"
"New York City, actually." Donnie answered.
"Both of you?" Augie inquired.
"Well, we're brother and sister." Cath explained.
"Oh. Magnificent." Augie said, taking his hat off and rubbing his hair. "I suppose I should be surprised, but I'm more surprised to see my niece here. How did you get here? Why?"
"We got your message." April explained.
"My message?" Augie questioned.
"Your distress signal." Donnie explained.
"You're call for help." April said.
"It came up on April's computer." Cath explained.
"Help?" Augie said, putting his hat on. "But things are perfectly fine. I sent no call for help."
Donnie opened up his duffel bag and pulled out his tech tab, which he turned on and handed to Augie, who saw the symbols.
"Oh, dear, the message." he said, chuckling. "It was more of an announcement, really."
"What do you mean?" Cath asked.
"I was testing the transmitting systems. They still need work, obviously, as the message didn't go through as I intended." Augie said, as he turned and approached a window. "But I don't need help, no. The people of this magnificent city want to help us. They call themselves the Brotherhood, and they plan to bring all their amazing technology and medical advancements to Earth. It will change the world."
He turned and approached April and the Turtles, Cath not looking convinced, as they all turned to the lizards.
"It is our custom. My people wish to spread peace and love and understanding throughout the multiverse." the red one said, before they all bowed. "But now we will take our leave and allow you to finish repairing the transport."
They all backed away towards a door.
"The sooner it is fixed, the sooner we will be able to help the people of Earth." the red one said.
His men turned and left the room, then he turned and followed.
"What's he talking about?" Cath asked curiously, turning to Augie with April and Donnie.
"Their transport artifact was broken when I arrived." Augie explained.
They all walked towards it.
"I managed to repair it, but I didn't have the coordinates to get home." Augie explained. "But your arrival has left a dimensional wake, pinpointing Earth."
He rubbed his hands as he approached it.
"Once I finish expanding the transport platform, we'll be able to bring Brotherhood science back to Earth with us." he explained. "It's going to be glorious, a new epoch of peace, love, and understanding."
He bent down and fiddled with a cable, as April approached him, while Donnie and Cath walked around the transport artifact.
"Oh, Uncle Augie, it sounds so wonderful." April said, touching his shoulder as he put the cable down.
"It sure does." Donnie said, approaching the window with Cath.
"Yeah, but a little too good to be true." Cath muttered.
Donnie turned around. "Hey, do you think it'll be okay if we took a stroll around the city?" he asked, turning back to the window, before turning back and walking off. "I'd love to get a look at their advanced technology before we leave."
Cath turned and ran towards him, as April and Augie turned to them.
"Sure, the Brotherhood won't mind." Augie said, rubbing his hands.
"Just don't get in any trouble, you two," April teased.
"What, us?" Donnie asked, touching his chest. "We're the sensible Turtles, remember?"
"Yeah, it's Raph and Mikey who gets into trouble." Cath recalled.
Soon, both Turtles were walking through a hallway inside a building in the city.
"Uncle Augie's right." Donnie said. "This place is incredible. A little quiet though."
"Yeah, too quiet." Cath agreed.
"Cath, what's wrong?" Donnie asked. "You've been giving the Brotherhood suspicious looks since we got here."
"Don... There's something not right about them." Cath sighed. "I can't explain it, but I have a feeling they're hiding something, and it's not good. Call it my instincts, but I know I'm right here."
"Oh, you worry too much, sis." Donnie said, touching her shoulder. "Just relax. It's not like that bug world we got sent too last time."
"Ugh, don't remind me." Cath shuddered.
They both stopped and gasped as they heard a door open, making them turn around.
"It is all I can do not to bite their heads off." came a voice.
Both Turtles moved back and hid in the shadows of a doorway.
"Be strong." another voice said.
Cath peeked out from her hiding spot, seeing two lizards walking down the hallway.
"The Councilor's plan is almost bone fruit." the second said. "Soon, we shall all feed."
Both Turtles nodded to each other, then slowly began to fall the lizards out of curiously.
"And where is the Grand Councilor now?" the first asked.
"He is in the throne room, making the final preparations." the second answered.
Inside the throne room, the Councilor sat in the throne, eating a bone, as an Aid paced around the room, before he stopped and turned.
"Councilor, our food supplies are nearly exhausted." he said. "Soon, we will have nothing left to eat."
The Councilor stopped chewing on the bone.
"Worry not. The old fool has nearly repaired the transport." he explained, getting up. "Once it is operational, we can resume conquering new worlds."
Unknown to him, Donnie and Cath were both eavesdropping from the shadows of a balcony.
"We will feed long and well, starting with his precious Earth." the Councilor declared.
Both Turtles gasped in horror, Donnie more shocked than Cath was.
Later, they were both running down a hallway together, on their way to where April and Augie were.
"I told you there was something wrong about these lizards!" Cath scowled.
"Okay, okay, I was wrong." Donnie said. "I hate it when you're right instead of me. I'm the smarter of the two of us."
"Not always." Cath argued. "When we were kids and you boys tried having a go at teaching?"
"Oh, now's not the time!" Donnie argued. "Come on!"
In the transport room, Augie sat at his table, as April picked up a piece of paper, just as both Turtles showed up.
"Uh, remember how we promised to stay out of trouble?" Donnie asked.
April and Augie turned to him.
"Well, we're in trouble." Donnie said.
"Yeah, big, big trouble." Cath said.
"The Brotherhood is just using Uncle Augie to get them to Earth so they can eat everybody!" Donnie explained frantically.
"What? That's preposterous!" Augie said. "The Brotherhood want to serve humanity."
"Not from what we've just heard." Cath argued. "They want to cannibalise Earth and other worlds."
"Right, medium rare." Donnie said. "Like in the Twilight Zone episode."
"Uncle Augie, if they say something's going on, then something's going on." April said, due to all they've been through together. "I'd stake my life on it."
"Yes, you will." came the Councilor's voice.
The Turtles and O'Neil's all turned and saw him and other lizards standing nearby.
"The time for niceties is at an end. Size them!" the Councilor ordered.
His men charged at them all, as Cath brought out her Tonfas, while Donnie put his bag down while taking out his Bo, then they both pounced towards the lizards.
"April, get your Uncle out of here!" Donnie said, as he spun around and whacked two lizards away with his Bo.
Cath landed near one lizard, then back flipped and kicked its chest with both feet, knocking him down.
April turned to her Uncle, then pushed him away.
"Run, Uncle Augie!" she said.
"But-" Augie said.
"Run!" April screamed, pushing him on.
She picked up a chair, then turned around and whacked a lizard with it - smashing it to pieces - before she ran off after her Uncle.
Cath turned and jumped away as a lizard tried to grab her, then she landed near Donnie, who picked up his bag.
"Excuse me? Pardon me." he said.
He jumped and split kicked two lizards as they came at him, knocking them down. He then began to run off, with Cath behind him, as another lizard got in front of him.
"I got him!" Cath yelled.
She jumped up and somersaulted over Donnie, before kicking the lizard with both feet, knocking him down.
"AH!" he moaned.
Cath landed crouched down in a three-point stance, then she got up and ran after Donnie, as more lizards chased after them.
"Where are we going?" April asked, as they ran down a hallway.
"Follow me." Augie said, in the lead.
Cath and Donnie chased after them, before they all entered a room resembling a monorail station.
"Everyone, into that shuttle!" Augie said, as they ran towards it.
The lizards all ran the hallway towards the station, as the O'Neil's and the Turtles got into the shuttle. Augie took the front seat and powered it up, before it spead along the track as the lizards tried to run after it, before they stopped.
Later, Augie stopped the cart at another monorail station, then the door opened, before he, April, Cath and Donnie all walked out of it.
"None of this makes any sense." Augie said.
"The Brotherhood was using you, Uncle Augie." April said, as they approached a pile of unknown objects.
"Ah! I can't believe that." Augie said, as they stopped.
"Well, they did." Cath said. "You were like a pawn in a chess game. I knew there was something off about them."
"What are these?" Donnie asked, picking up one of the objects. "Huh, magnetic."
He put it back down as they all turned to the city, which was completely trashed and wrecked, like it had been bombed out.
"Uncle Augie, what is this place?" April asked.
"The Brotherhood called this place the Forbidden Zone." Augie explained. "No one is allowed in here. They told me it was strictly off-limits."
"Gee. I wonder why?" Cath said.
"Um, I think I know why." Donnie said, turning right. "I don't think they wanted you to see this. Look?"
They all turned as he pointed to a large pile of bones and skeletons.
"Ah!" they gasped.
"It's a mass grave." Donnie said.
"They must've eaten their flesh up, just like what they want to do to Earth." Cath sighed.
"Oh!" April gasped, covering her mouth.
"It can't be!" Augie said, backing away horrified. "They told me...they said they wanted to help us. Huh?"
He backed away into a small machine, which everyone turned to, as a hologram popped up on it.
"Huh?" April muttered.
"Wait, Cath and I have seen these holographic stations all over town." Donnie said, before he took his tech tab out of his bag. "Maybe it can shed some light on what happened here."
He approached the hologram, then plugged his tech tab into the machine below it. He then pressed buttons on it, before the hologram grew bigger, showing a recording from years ago in this realm.
"I'll see if I can access the municipal archives." Donnie said.
A figure known as a Zodat came up on the recording.
"In the beginning, the Zodat civilization started-" he began.
The recording fast-forwarded itself.
"...a great period of unrest."
It fast-forwarded again.
"The great lawmaker, Motus Prium, passed down the thirty-two precepts of compassion."
It fast-forwarded again.
"I'm working up to the last entry." Donnie explained.
"That's where we'll find out what happened." Cath realized.
The last entry came up, which showed a different, bulker Zodat standing near a fire, as others ran off scared, being chased by the Brotherhood.
"The end has come. The lizards tricked us." he said.
Two lizards picked up three of his fellow Zodats.
"They flooded into our city from their dimension. Thay have taken over and our glorious civilisation is gone."
A small magnetic device - like the one in the pile - popped up.
"To prevent them from travelling to other dimensions, we used these magnetic charges."
He placed them all around the transport artifact.
"The powerful magnetic charges destroyed the transport artifact's ability to transmit."
He ran off as the charges went off, damaging the artifact.
"That should trap them here on our world..."
The lizards threw his fellow people away.
"...and perhaps save other worlds from our fate."
He turned right as a lizard came towards him.
"Stay back! Back!" he yelled.
A lizard punched him and knocked him down.
"Ah!" April, Augie and the Turtles gasped.
The lizard killed the Zodat, then roared and screeched, before the hologram recording ended.
"So much for peace, love and understanding." Donnie said.
"It's horrible." Cath gasped, fighting tears in her eyes. "Those poor Zodats were just those, and this Brotherhood has been pretending to be that just so they could eat them all!"
Augie turned and walked away, as this was too much of a shock for him, as everyone else turned to him.
"I so wanted it all to be true." he sighed, as he stopped.
He turned to April and the Turtles.
"We must make sure the Brotherhood never reaches Earth, no matter what!" he said.
A loud screech made them all turn and gasp, as some of the lizards began to pop up through a doorway. They all turned around, but saw more lizards popping up in the other doorway, which then surrounded them all. They all soon backed away along the track away from the lizards, who moved slowly towards them.
"You see a way out, Don?" Cath whispered.
Donnie turned left and saw a steeple down below, then he put his Bo away.
"Come on." he said, picking April up bridal style. "Follow me."
"Ah!" April yelped, as Donnie jumped off the track. "WHOA!"
Donnie landed on the steeple, then jumped off it and landed on the ground.
"Ah." Augie gasped.
Donnie put April down as they both turned to Augie and Cath.
"Uncle Augie, Cath, jump!" April yelled.
Cath turned to grab Augie, when two lizards grabbed his shoulders.
"Hey, let him go!" Cath demanded.
One lizard came over and whacked her with his arm as she reached for her Tonfas, sending her flying down towards Donnie and April.
"CATH!" Donnie cried, reaching out.
"AHH!" Cath yelled.
"NOOO!" Augie cried.
The lizards dragged him away as Cath went flying past the steeple, then hit the ground near Donnie on her chest, as he tried to catch her.
"OH!" she moaned.
"NO!" Augie cried. "NOOOO!"
"Uncle Augie, hold on!" April called.
Cath lifted her head up as Donnie held out his hand.
"You okay?" he asked.
"I've been hit harder than that, bro." Cath mumbled, as she took his hand.
Donnie helped her up, before they both turned to April, who began to run off.
"No, April." Donnie said, grabbing her arm, making her stop. "They won't hurt Uncle Augie. They need him, and you, Cath and I will be more useful if we're alive."
"Don's right." Cath agreed. "We just have to follow them slowly."
Two of the lizards soon led Augie back to where the transport artifact was, his hands and feet tied to a staff they carried between them, as more followed them all.
"Ah!" Augie moaned, trying to break free.
They all approached the Councilor, who stood by a staircase leading to the building the transport artifact was.
"Good. Put him back to work!" the Councilor ordered, as they began walking up the stairs. "Soon, we will be feasting upon the people of Earth."
He licked his mouth as it watered, then he laughed.
Later, squads of lizards in columns of fours began marching together in the city, unaware Donnie, Cath and April were all watching from behind a bush.
"They're amassing their invasion force." April realized.
"It'll be worse than the Triceraton invasion last year." Cath sighed worriedly. "No one will be spared if they get to Earth."
"Guys, what are we gonna do?" April asked.
"Don't worry, girls. I have an idea." Donnie said.
"Let's hope it's good then." Cath said.
"Oh, trust me? It is." Donnie assured. "Come on."
They all ran off towards the building.
Later, once inside, as two lizards came pacing down a hallway, April, Donnie and Cath all hid in the shadows near the front door. Once the lizards walked by, they all came out of hiding and ran down the hallway in the opposite direction. Once they reached the door leading to the room with the transport artifact, Donnie and April pushed it open, then they and Cath saw Augie working on the transport artifact.
"Uncle Augie, you alright?" April asked, relieved.
Augie turned to her and the Turtles.
"April, thank heavens you're safe." he said.
He jumped down towards the others as they ran towards him, then he hugged April.
"Uncle Augie, we have to work quickly." April said, as they pulled apart.
"Donnie's got a plan." Cath explained, as Donnie rummaged through his bag.
"I've rigged the tech tab to set off the Zodat magnetic charges and destroy the transport artifact." Donnie explained, pulling one out and his tech tab. "We'll finish the job the Zodats started."
"I'm afraid that won't work." Augie sighed, turning to the transport artifact. "I fixed the transport artifact, shielding it from magnetic overloads."
"Oh, great." Cath sighed, annoyed. "Do you have a plan B, bro?"
Donnie turnd to her, as April put her hand on her chin, thinking.
"Maybe we don't have to destroy this transport artifact." she said.
"What do you mean, April?" Cath asked, confused.
April approached the transport artifact, then began to move it around.
"April, what are you...?" Donnie asked.
April kept moving the transport artifact around, but then stopped as it clicked. Bright lights then shot out of it, hitting all four of them, and then they vanished, just as four lizards stormed into the room. They all looked around, but saw no sign of Donnie, Cath, April or Augie, as the Councilor came towards them.
"As I feared, they've gone, using the transport." he said, as his men turned to him. "Assemble all the Brotherhood. We have prey to hunt and a new world to conquer."
He grinned evilly, as his imaged Earth in his eyes.
Meanwhile, in the Wasp World, in the temple where the transport artifact was, a bright light came out, then the Turtles, April and Augie all fell out of it.
"AHH!" they yelled.
They all hit the floor, the Turtles on their chests, April and Augie on their backs. They all turned to the artifact, then April got up.
"There it is, just as we left it." she said, as the others got up.
"April, tell me this isn't where I think it is?" Donnie asked.
April ignored him and ran towards the transport.
"I think it is." Cath said. "And I think I see April's plan, am I right?"
"Yes." April answered, as she began turning the artifact. "This artifact isn't magnetically shielded. "Don, Cath, set the Zodat magnetic charges."
Augie, Donnie and Cath all ran towards her, then the two Turtles began setting the charges around the artifact as it spun around. Donnie then took out his tech tab, then worked on it quickly, before putting the last charge on the artifact.
"Come on." Cath said.
They both jumped towards either April or Augie, as lights shot out of the artifact, then they all vanished. The tech tab then counted down to zero, then the charges detonated, destroying the artifact.
A little later, in April's shop, a light appeared in the main room, before Augie, April, Donnie and Cath fell out of it.
"AHH!" they yelled.
Augie hit the floor on her chest, while the others hit it on their back/shells, before they all sat up.
"Okay, April, what just happened?" Donnie asked.
"Oh, we're just setting up a little surprise party." April answered.
"What do you mean?" Cath asked.
Everything remained quiet in the Wasp World.
"When the Councilor and the Brotherhood army use..." April began.
A light showed up in the temple.
"...their transport artifact, thinking..."
The Brotherhood began to come out of the light.
"...it leads straight to Earth..."
They Brotherhood all landed on their feet.
"They're gonna follow us to the other world." Donnie realized.
"Spread out!" the Councilor ordered. "Find them!"
They all separated and looked around, with him and some others entering a room full of Wasp Cocoons.
"And once they realize that they've made a terrible mistake..." April said.
"They'll be no working transport artifact for them to escape through." Augie finished.
The Councilor stopped and looked around.
"Meaning they're trapped with those wasps forever." Cath realized.
"Huh?" the Councilor muttered, turning around.
Several of the cocoons began to wobble, before they cracked open, spilling gunk as wasps hatched from them, which screeched. The Brotherhood all looked horrified as they backed away as the wasps flew down towards them.
"Ah!" the Councilor gasped.
He turned and ran out of the room and towards the transport artifact, but stopped when he was it was destroyed.
"No! The transport!" he said, slowly approaching it. "NOOOOOO!"
He banged it with his fists in anger, when he heard a rumbling noise.
"Hmm?" he muttered.
He turned left and backed away slightly, as gunk poured from a hole in the ceiling, then the Wasp Queen came out of it, sticking to the ceiling. It then jumped down and landed on its feet, as the Councilor backed away, and then it screeched.
"Aah!" the Councilor gasped.
In April's store, Cath patted April's shoulder.
"Hmm? Clever move, April." Cath remarked. "By sending those lizards to the Wasp World, both sides will end up fighting each other, and unable to come here."
"My little April, you're an O'Neil alright, through and through." Augie said, touching her shoulders.
He got to his feet.
"And I'm finally home after all these years." he said, taking his hat off. "Thank you, you three."
April got up and hugged him tight, laughing as Donnie and Cath smiled.
Upstairs, Robyn was sitting on the couch, watching TV, when April opened the door.
"Robyn! You're not gonna believe who I found." she said, pulling Augie into the room.
"Oh, now, easy there." Augie said.
Robyn smiled widely as she got up and ran towards her Uncle.
"Oh, Uncle Augie." she said, hugging him tight.
Augie laughed as they pulled apart.
"But how?" Robyn asked.
"It's a long story, with lots of peace, love and understanding." Augie assured, touching her hand.
Down in the basement, Donnie and Cath both stood near the tunnel, listening happily.
"Oh, it's so good to see you again." Augie said.
Both Turtles smiled as the girls laughed.
"I bet the whole family's gonna be happy to see him." Cath said.
"I know what you mean, sis." Donnie said, as they walked down the tunnel. "I know what you mean."
They wrapped their arms around each other as they walked on, on their way to their new lair.
