I admit I haven't got a clue about the Japanese way of life or even the Oriental way, but I doubt it is like those Hentai books I read. So enjoy the Western view on this story, if not... Meh, who cares.
Chapter 1. Taking the gamble.
Hello, I am Maruyama Seiji, currently, I am 30 Years old, sitting at home, drinking coffee with a backpack on my lap. Drinking coffee is normal, it is not with a backpack on your lap.
Let me explain why… I am Isekaid… I think. When I was five years old, I started to get memories from a previous life. In that life, I was a Software programmer from the US, and got run over by… you guessed it right, Truck-San!
I did not receive his personality, only his memory and skill set. Me? I am a Japanese man from a village out of Tokyo.
I cashed in on the knowledge, and rushed through elementary, high school, and… then Mum got pregnant.
The thing is, mum got me when she was 26 years old, and my sister Aya was born twelve years later at age 38, with a difficult delivery, followed by a depression.
I had a few colleges lined up for me, but not a lot of them, I rubbed some Astrophysics the wrong way with papers about Black Holes, Folded Space, and totally destroyed the idea of the Multiverse.
But… I stayed at home to take care of my baby sister and mum, dad has a low-paying job, and could not afford to hire a nurse, our relatives moved to another part of the country, so it was all on me.
The second reason I stayed at home is my sister Aya. Remember Isekai? In those memories was his favorite web-novel starring: Maruyama Seiji, Me, and his twelve year younger sister Maruyama Aya.
It was too great of a coincidence to ignore. I have my degrees to enter college, so I stayed at home to take care of Aya and mum.
The catch is, that story starts with a line: "You can become a magician if you are still a virgin at the age of 30!
That is right! I had to stay a virgin until I am 30 Bloody Years old! For the next eighteen years I had to avoid pussy. You may mention exploiting the knowledge of the other guy's memory and getting rich fast…
That ship sailed the moment I prevented 9/11, you know the planes that wrecked the nation? I hacked my high-school computer and sent some anonymous emails. It resulted in the arrest of those dudes and a big butterfly effect. No war with Afghanistan or Iraq, different firms were rising, Yes We Can! Turned into No We Couldn't! The whole thing was a mess. I am still not sorry I prevented it all though.
Fukushima was another butterfly that I could not ignore. I took a vacation in that region and made friends with some engineers of that power plant. A few drunken discussions later, they upped their Tsunami countermeasures. I am not sorry for the changes that brought either.
I could not find my alter ego in the States, not even his family, I guess it got erased when I was born, or… this is an alternate universe, the same theories I trashed a few years back are now biting me in the ass.
So, I took care of Aya and mum for six years. Mum got better after four years, the family was united and happy again. I went to college when I reached 18 years with a modest scholarship, a 12-year-old genius is different than a run-of-the-mill 18-Year-old. My cooking skills are great by the way.
I took a huge gamble to follow the story and studied System Engineering with a minor in Programming. All the professors resented me for my choices, calling me a waste of talent. Sometimes I even doubted myself, especially when a pretty girl came on to me and I had to play stupid.
Job hunting was a difficult task, I had a few clues for the company from the story, the President's granddaughter was named Megumi, that and the girl's age were the only leads. When I finally found it and got hired, I had to stay under the radar until I am 30 Fucking Years old.
With my salary I rented a small apartment, Aya regularly visited me so I rented a 2-bedroom flat in Tokyo in a nice neighborhood.

So here I am, drinking coffee with a backpack on my lap, waiting to get summoned into another world to get Magic Powers. Yep, that is the story, Maruyama Seiji got summoned to another world and get Magic Powers.
The timing is right, I finished a new System for a client, Ayla is moving in to commute to college from here, and I have a six-day leave, taking up my overtime, all according to the story.
I must say that in a side pocket of my backpack are a few packs of condoms, if this is a bust, then I am spending six days in a brothel fucking my brains out. After all, I took a huge gamble, by now I could be a millionaire if I had put some effort into it.
From the moment Aya was born, I wrote everything I could remember from the story down and am calculating the best way to get my Harem. That is right! My aim is a Harem, Magic Powers is a happy side effect. I admit that puberty kicked in by the time Aya was born, and I followed my hormones.
The title of the story is ridiculously long: Going back and forth between Earth and The Other World with Space-Time Magic! People start reading it just out of curiosity from that title!
Or, if you understand Japanese: Jikuu Mahou de Isekai to Chikyuu Wo Ittarikitari. That did not make me curious at all.
Anyway, a light enveloped me and I disappeared in a flash of light.

Yes! Fucking YES! It paid off! All those years getting blue balled for this gamble, it is time to cash in.
I looked around, the scene was a medieval throne room, some Nobles and soldiers were lining the walls, the King sat on his throne, beside him was a pretty girl, the princess I suppose, next to him was the court magician. He was dressed as a Merlin wannabee, with gaudy robes and all.
The magician approached me and gave me a shiny stone, a light enveloped me, suddenly I could understand their gibberish.
King: "Can you understand me, Hero?"
I looked at the king and answered: "Yes I can understand you."
The king smiled and said: "The [Stone of Temporal Language Acquisition] works fine. I am King Adelaidos. Welcome Hero."
Just like in the story he is a pompous asshole, the princess is a beauty though, she is looking nervous at me but avoids my eyes.
"Check his status before we continue." Ordered the King, the Merlin wannabee chanted a spell: [Appraisal] after a few moments Merlin went to the king and whispered something in his ears.
He asked: "Hero, what profession is [Es li]?
I am prepared for this so I answered: "[SE] means System Engineer. I create Systems that can be used by thousands of people."
"Is it strong?" He asked.
A stupid question requires a stupid answer: "In the right hands it could wreck nations."
Relieved, the king said: "Great! Prepare the [Ritual of Acceptance] at once!" The magician presented me with a tray, when he removed the cloth cover it showed a blue shiny stone and an ugly collar.
I heard the princess gasp when the collar was revealed, she had a strange expression on her face when she looked at her father.
The king continued: "Before you is a [Mana Crystal Fragment] it will grant you power and skills according to your profession. Next is the [Choker of Sealed Magic], it will prevent being influenced by enemy magic. First touch the stone, next put the [Sl… Choker of Sealed Magic] on. Do it now."
The expression of the princess changed, she wanted to say something but the king held his hand up to silence her.
Well, knowing the story, it is safe to touch the gem, so I did, Blue light covered me and entered my body through my hand. I heard a mechanical voice say:
[Space Time Magic] acquired.
[Space Time Magic] is now Level 5.
[Information Magic] Acquired.
[Information Magic] is now level 5.
Knowledge about [Space Time] and [Information Magic] flooded into my brain. Knowledge of how to do [Appraisal] was clear to me. The Choker felt all kinds of wrong, [Vigilance] from [Information Magic] warned me from the danger.
The king urged me: "Good, now put the [Choker of Sealed Magic] on to finish the ritual."
When I looked at the princess she avoided my eyes again, but shook her head. I used [Appraisal] on the [Choker of Sealed Magic], A transparent window appeared before me with the text:

The king shamelessly proclaimed: "There must be a mix-up with the Choker, you can go without it for now." Yeah right, forever is more like it.

That is my first change to the story, instead of putting Merchant as an Occupation, I went for the Hero approach. I monitored the princess with tracking to follow the conversation of the king next to her.
Meanwhile, I concentrated on the details of my new skills, first Space-Time.

She showed up on the [Map], although there is only one room visible, I concentrated on the audio and heard the king whispering to a Noble next to him: "The enslavement failed, this guy can be a problem in the future, we better take care of it now."
The noble asked: "How do we take care of it?"
"Lyle Gewalt, I trust this job to you, I divert his attention and you go behind him and finish him with a [Slash]"
Lyle answered: "It will be done Sire, I'll get in position."
That is rude! Just refusing the [Slave Collar] and you are getting disposed of! I [Appraised] Lyle:

I prepared myself with a [Barrier] behind me, and an [Quick] on me, secretly I stored the [Mana Crystal Fragment] in my [Inventory], Lyle showed up as a red dot on the [Map], while the king started his diversion. I cast [Slow] on Lyle, which got me prepared for action.
"Well then Hero, You must subdue the Demon Lord, he committed serious crimes against our nation…"
The king occasionally looked at Lyle Gewalt, when the princess interrupted: "Father, stop this please!"
"Elena! Go to your room! Not another word! Soldiers, escort her to her room." While Elena was escorted out, the king nodded to Lyle.
My [Vigilance] combined with [Future Prediction] showed where and how the attack was going to happen, Lyle attacked with [Slash] at the position I just left with [Teleportation], Lyle lost his balance, I profited by giving him a round kick to his head.
A [Teleport] to a soldier got me his sword, and all the soldiers in the room got a nice [Slow] cast on them, while Lyle recuperated from my kick. Lyle advanced again at me with a [Slash], watching him come at me in slow motion is kind of funny, I sidestepped, struck with my sword with a slash, and cut his hand off. Hand and sword fell on the floor.

I checked my level, a level 1 against a level 20 gave me a fine boost, I am level 10 now. The room was dead silent, I easily disposed of the best Knight in the country; I gazed at the soldiers, who didn't dare to move a muscle.
Slowly I advanced to the king, and said: "That is not a nice way to ask to kill the Demon Lord, this means I can do my own thing from now on?"
The king panicked: "Everyone! Capture this man now!" I grinned evilly at the soldiers, A [Teleport] behind the first one that moved got the hilt of my sword on his head and collapsed. I [Teleported] next to the king and surrounded him with [Barriers], the rest of the soldiers stopped moving when my sword was on the King's neck.
The king made some excuses: "It was all Lyle Gewalt's plan, he acted alone!"
This is a good opportunity to use the function of [Tracking], I played the conversation between the king and Lyle and projected it in the room for all to hear. The soldiers were speechless, killing the summoned Hero is outrageous.
I remarked: "You know, lying is a bad habit, it can get you in trouble. What am I going to do with you? You clearly wanted to have me killed. Should I kill you? It is the task of the Hero to kill all the Evil beings after all, and you fit the description."
Surrounded by Barriers and a sword on his neck, the King was grasping at straws: "You need to kill the Evil Demon Lord to be able to get home! So go out and kill him! As a reward, we will get you back home. If you kill me, you have to stay here forever!"
I shrugged: "More lies, from where I am standing you are the Evil one, you abducted me from my planet, tried to put a [Slave Collar] on me, and you ordered to get me killed. Then you try to fool me to kill a Demon Lord. Wouldn't it be better to kill you instead? That is after all a hero's job, to kill all Evil rulers, you clearly are an Evil Ruler."
He protested: "I am the king! There is no way I am Evil!" His soldiers all looked the other way, in fact, wanting to kill a Hero classifies you as Evil.
I got tired of his nonsense, I got what I wanted from here, I said: "I let it slide this once King, if you cross me again it will cost you dearly. I'll be watching you."
Picking up my backpack, I [Teleported] to Princess Elena, she was crying in her room, I put [Barriers] up against sound and said: "Sorry for barging in here unannounced and without permission to enter Princess."
Princess Elena looked surprised at me: "Lord Hero? Did you escape my father?"
I nodded: "Yes, I escaped his trap thanks to your warning, I came here to thank you for it, I am in your debt Princess Elena."
"It was the right thing to do Lord Hero, are you hurt?"
I grinned: "Not a scratch on me, can you forgive me for entering your room without permission?"
She shyly answered: "Considering the circumstances you are forgiven, you are the first strange man that entered my room, it feels awkward just the two of us."
I smiled: "Trust me, I would not do a thing to you without your permission, defending Princesses is in my job description, if you want something, just ask." Holding hands, a snog, cop a feel, a hand job, a fuck… all options are on the table, just ask PLEASE! I better not say what I am thinking, it might spook her.
Princess Elena asked: "Tell me about your Homeworld Lord Hero, and please, call me Elena."
I nodded: "Right Elena, then call me Seiji. My home world is very different than yours, we have no magic, only fairy tails about it, we use technology to cope with that, we invented different devices to help us in our daily life, here, this is my Smartphone, I can communicate with others over long distances, and even take pictures with it like this."
I took some pictures of Elena and showed them to her, Elena was speechless, it was clearly her room and her in the picture; the details were sharp, I zoomed in on her face and commented: "You are very beautiful, as expected from a princess. Now, how did you get [Water Magic] and [Restoration Magic]?"
Elena blushed a nice shade of red at my compliment and said: "When I was 10, they took me on a tour to the Temples, I got [Water Magic] in Suga Town and [Restoration Magic] in Ebisu Town."
"Is there a Temple in this City?"
She nodded: "The Temple of Wind, and Lightning, I did not get it although I touched the Crystals."
"Well another issue is the Demon Lord, Why does your father want him dead?"
Elena answered: "They said the Demon army attacked and destroyed a frontier village, Scab Village."
"Just attacked, destroyed, and left? Where is that village?"
"That village is north of Suga Town, on a few day's travel."
"And the Demon territory?"
"West of Shinju town… they are far apart! It would be more logical to attack villages close to their territory!"
I smiled at her: "Pretty and smart, you have it all Elena, seriously, there is more going on than the Demon Lord, can you ask around? I doubt the Demons are responsible for that attack."
Elena is blushing again: "I will ask around, and see what I can find out, what are you going to do Lord Seiji?"
"Well, what I want to do is to take you home with me, what I am going to do is explore the city, maybe visit the Wind Temple. I have some things I can sell to get the local currency. Do you have a window that faces the City?"
Elena whispered: "You want to take me home? Ah, Lord Seiji, this window looks out on the City."
I bowed and said: "Sadly I must part, I took enough of your precious time. Maybe we will meet again, it is always a pleasure to converse with you. Goodbye Elena."
I looked out the window and spotted a secluded corner, with a last smile at Elena I [Teleported] into the City.

From my backpack I took a cape out to mask my modern clothes, I bought the cape at a Cosplay fair, it was one from Frodo. 1000 MP to learn the Delaidos language, complete with reading and writing, a fair trade I must say, others study years for the same results.
An old Lady gave me directions to the Merchant guild, when I entered I spotted the counter that buys merchandise, the pretty girl behind the counter introduced herself: "Welcome to the Merchant guild mister, my name is Lydia, how can I help you?"
"Miss Lydia, my name is Seiji Maruyama, I have some high-quality items that I want to sell, most are of S-ranked quality, can you handle this?"
Lydia paled: "Can you show me some samples, mister Maruyama? If it really is S ranked I need to call my supervisor."
I prepared some small bottles of salt, knowing it is high in demand, showing a bottle to Lydia I said: "This is high quality [Salt], please let it be [Appraised]."
Impressed, Lydia took the small bottle and went to her supervisor, a minute later both came back; the supervisor said: "Mister Maruyama, this bottle contains S ranked [Salt]. We are willing to buy this bottle for 12000 Aurums, do you agree with our offer?"
"Sure, the price seems right to me, I have three more bottles of S ranked [Salt], if you need it just let me know. Also, I have 5 Kilo's of S ranked [Wheat flour], are you interested?" After showing a sample I sold it at 2000 Aurums. Next, I took stuff from the 100 Yen store, lighters, ballpoint pens, and some stationary. It got me another 10000 Aurums. With 24000 Aurums, I can handle Aya's shopping addiction. I know, we spoiled her… a lot.
With directions to go to the Wind Temple, I left the Merchant guild, it was getting late so I hurried to the Temple, paid the 4500 Aurums, and went inside. The mana Crystal is huge! I touched the Crystal; the mechanical voice said:
[Wind Magic] Acquired. Rarity * Level 4 – Wind Control – Wind Gust – Wind Blade – Tornado.
The Lightning Crystal gave me:
[Lightning Magic] Acquired. Rarity: ****Level Max -Generate Electricity – Electricity Control – Electrolysis – Lightning Strike – Summon Spirit.
One last thing is to locate the Church, the Sister is sick in bed, and the 4 kids are planning to steal to get food. Twenty minutes later I found the church, I entered, and spotted a few kids, the Neko, I think her name is Minya approached me: "Why are you visiting this church mister? We have nothing here and the Sister is sick in bed."
I opened my backpack and handed them a package of sandwiches, I gave Minya a handful of copper Aurums, and told her: "I'll visit here tomorrow with a healer, maybe she can heal the Sister, this will help you through tomorrow."
You can't always trust that Canon follows your pace, arriving a bit sooner or later changes everything. This way I secured the kid's safety, if she gets caught pickpocketing by someone else, she could be turned into a crime slave. Anyway, my good deeds of the day are done, I smiled at the kids, raised my hands and shouted: "To infinity and beyond!" I [Teleported Home].

At home, I took a quick shower and prepared dinner. It is a pleasant surprise when I gained the [Cooking] Level Max, Rarity: *. I made Cooking a hobby to get my mind off my hormones.
I even took combat lessons from a grandpa in my Village. Don't laugh! Master was a tough old man, he used to be a combat instructor in the army during the war; he taught me unarmed combat and some swordplay, he passed away a few years ago. He left me his training swords, I was his last student and his wife insisted I took the swords, even his prided Katana. Hmm, I have to collect them from home someday.
After dinner I cleared my room of all the jun… items that are laying around; everything went into my inventory. I had to do this anyway, Aya is moving in to commute to her college; she is scheduled to move in next week, although she will arrive at my doorstep the day after tomorrow.
The rest of the evening I spent investigating my skills and stats, with some luck I found the settings of the [Tracking] Beacon, the Video was set on R 15 as a default, so I changed it to R 18, I am not a pervert… suck it! I was on a dry spell for 18 Fucking Years! I deserve the eye candy! I Need that eye candy!
Elena was already asleep in bed, so I missed the good stuff, although I could find worse actions on the internet. Well, watching a sleeping girl is interesting for about five seconds, so to kill some time, I prepared rice, Onigiri, meaning Rice Balls with some seaweed to hold on; so typical Japanese food. When I cooked all the rice and stored it in my [Inventory] I went to bed too.

The day started with shopping, now that it is confirmed that I can travel between worlds, I visited several supermarkets, buying food, a decent tent, sleeping bags, and camping gear. For guests I bought knives, forks, and spoons, not everyone can handle chopsticks. Every time I left a supermarket with full bags, I emptied them in my [Inventory] and moved to the next market, occasionally checking in on Elena.
Yes, I watched her bathe… a natural blond, that is all I say about it. It wasn't a real bath, just a small tub, it was done in ten minutes, that is all I say about it… The show was over before it even started, that is all I can say about it.
I watched Elena question the maids and soldiers, have some tea, read a book… I am a fucking stalker!
The moment I was waiting for happened, daddy put Elena in jail because she asked too many questions, this Hero is rushing to the rescue!… I'll wait a half hour.
